Neyua strode confidently onto route 29. Her Squirtle, Anat, was safely in her pokeball, while her new companion, Arabella the Scatterbug, was perched on her shoulder. Neyua was still a little shaken up from her encounter with Arabella's old trainer, to be honest. There was something about being confronted directly by the idea that death could come for anyone, and sooner rather than later... It was chilling.
Neyua shook her head to clear such thoughts from it. It was a beautiful spring day after a dreary winter and Neyua was determined to enjoy it. Taking a deep breath, Neyua turned her face towards the sky and enjoyed the feeling of the spring sun on her face. It was weaker than it would be in the height of summer, but for now it felt heavenly. She could feel Arabella doing the same on her shoulder and she smiled softly to herself as she ambled forward.
Kent's request to see as many Vivillion patterns as possible would have to be done with thought. Neyua wasn't sure exactly how one got different patterned Vivillions, but logic said it probably had to do with where they evolved, so the only thing for her to do would be to try and see what happened. Getting more Scatterbugs on the other hand... Neyua didn't know where you could catch them in the wild in Johto, so she would have to breed more from Arabella and that meant finding her a breeding partner. A Wurmple or a Weedle, maybe.
Happy with that logic, Neyua continued down the path, keeping her eyes peeled for bug-types.

As Neyua made her way down route 29 after her meeting with Kent the blooming flowers growing alongside the tall grass were quite a sight to behold. The colorful arrangement was impossible to ignore as the flowers stretched along most of the route. The local Pokemon always enjoyed this time of year as it really brought out the beauty of the area, not to mention after freezing in the winter time the warm weather was a fantastic change of weather as none of the local Pokemon were bred for the cold. Though there were Pokemon watching Neyua it would not be a bug type Pokemon that would greet her first, rather it was a Pidgey who was out and about enjoying the weather until it took notice of Arabella. The bird had not had a good meal in some time and Scatterbug were quite the delicacy as they were not native to the area. The bird hopped towards Neyua trying to judge when the best moment to snatch the bug would be. Before Pidgey could strike however a Rattata ran out from a patch of grass and collided with the bird. Rattata quickly ran off as soon as it's head stopped spinning but the collision was loud enough to get Neyua's attention. The bird's chance at an easy meal had vanished but it could try to win a battle against Neyua to claim it's prize that way, Pidgey only had to worry about which Pokemon she would use as she was not like most trainers in the area which only had 1 Pokemon. A wild Pidgey(Level 5) would like to battle. Please select a Pokemon. Ooc: Would you like to use all 267 words from your last post on 1 egg or split it between them? I just want to check before I update.

Neyua turned in surprise at the sound of a scuffle. Thoughts raced quickly through her head, was it a trainer? A wild Pokémon? then her eyes focused on the approaching Pidgey. When Neyua told this story to her siblings later she would say she had known exactly what to do. She would say she had confidently pulled her Squirtle's pokeball from her belt, threw it with just the right amount of vigor so Anat popped out right in front of the Pidgey and then the two of them defeated the bird Pokémon in glorious battle in a show of perfect teamwork. Instead, Neyua squeaked softly and jumped back a little, startling Arabella so the little Scatterbug had to cling desperately to her shoulder. Neyua was full of nerves and excitement to the extent that her hands were shaking. That was unfortunate because she fumbled getting the ball out of her pocket and ended up releasing Anat onto her feet instead of anywhere near the Pidgey. "Squirt?" she asked as she looked around. "P-Pidgey!" Neyua stuttered, in what was not one of her more eloquent moments. Anat was still game, though, and turned to face the bird Pokémon with a determined glint in her eye. "Let's use tackle!" Neyua cried, pointing dramatically at the Pidgey. Anat gave a cry of agreement and raced at the Pidgey, aiming to crash headlong into the bird. Ooc: Can we use them all on the Electrike egg? Thanks again for breeding it for me

Anat tried her best to make the first move but her heavy shell slowed her down enough that Pidgey was able to make the first move. It hopped along the ground in a quick manner trying to disorient the young Squirtle as it waited for the perfect moment to strike. As Anat stopped her charge for a moment to try and get her bearings Pidgey made it's move and used a tackle attack on her. The attack did not do a huge amount of damage but it was powerful enough that she was winded by the attack. Upon regaining her breath it was her turn to attack. She rushed towards Pidgey and used a tackle attack of her own to settle the score. As both Pokemon took a deep breath they were nearly evenly matched as the first round ended. Pidgey had a very slight edge as it received a minor damage increase to it's tackle attack for being the same type but for now at least that advantage was not enough to make the battle go either way just yet as a single lucky strike could easily turn the tide of battle. As the next round was about to begin Anat waited for her orders as she anticipated a close battle and she knew Pidgey would not wait long before trying to attack again. Battle
Pidgey | Level 5 | HP: 75% (15/20) Status: Normal Used Gust! VS. Anat | Level 5 |Torrent HP: 70% (14/20) Status: Normal Used Tackle!
