Staryu and Ororo searched long and hard for this Pokemon, it was quite surprising that they hadn’t found a more common Pokemon in the meantime. After all, forests like Ilex are littered with bugs. Ledyba and Metapod could be found in many bushes and trees in this branch of the wood, so finding a Tangela was surely beginners luck. Many bug catchers speculated its existence in the Ilex Forest, but one was surely to make itself known sooner rather than later.

As the canopies glistened with the setting sun, a time of day familiar to many night time creatures, a rustle in a nearby bush caught the attention of Androgyny. The star shaped Pokemon rushed toward it, speedy as always. The red light blinked at the bush, enticing whatever was in there to crawl out and make itself known, like a spirit in a haunted house. Out the Tangela came, writhing her vines and charging into the battlefield. She was certainly not too happy to be disturbed like this, but of course Androgyny’s ability could coax out many other rare Pokemon, so Tangela shouldn’t go too hard on herself with falling into the lure.

Battle time came and it was time to initiate a plan of action. Ororo knew that Tangela had really high defense stats, so it would be best to use a nonphysical move. She eyed the Tangela carefully, making sure that it could not run away, something rare Pokemon certainly enjoyed doing when she tried to examine them. “Alright Androgyny, use your Bubblebeam!” The water Pokemon beeped in agreement, out came a flurry of bubbles that would hopefully pelt the foe into submission. “Alright, let’s try to capture it. A bit early in the battle, but I think it’ll be well worth the shot.” She tossed the ball toward the grassy clump, hoping for the best.

Tangela makes it way around the deep, and dense forest. It was used to the place, it lived here all it's life.I It had found a great place to eat berries. Purple was it favouite, it was sour with a sweet after taste. It's mouth start to drool at the thought of getting those berries one more time. Only to find a trainer waiting on the other side of the bush, it jumped through to get to the place. The clearing they found them selves in was a large but shaded area.

Before Tangela made its great get away run, it was hit in the face by stream of bubbles. Oh how rude through the Tangela now wet and grumpy. It just wanted a snack and now there was a horrible trainer ruining it day. Tangela now rather angry let one of her extend from her side and aimed the vine whip right towards the trainer! But Staryu jump in the way and took the blow, Staryu was differently quick on it's toes.

Before Tangela could make other attack, it didn't care about the stupid battle rules. It jumped angrily towards, Ororo before getting swallowed by the Great ball. Letting out audible sound of shock when it's wiggly body touched the ball.

Rejoice! The Tangela has been caught, a feat not many trainers have accomplished in their day. This little vine Pokemon was certainly a little tank as far as its defense stat goes. What to do with this little guy, or girl, now? The Pokedex says that the writhing vines unnerve the foe and its true form is unknown to mankind. “Interesting. Perhaps Warren could make better use of Tangela. I’m sure he’d like the Pokemon for its uniqueness.” Staryu seemed to agree, or at least that is what Ororo was lead to believe. The sun began to set and it was evident that the next portion of the forest should be explored sooner rather than later, perhaps Ororo wouldn’t have to spend the whole night in this infested thicket. With that, Ororo sent the Tangela to her cousin’s box and continued through her adventure, unsure of what was next to come.
