Sending out Sandile for x2 Bulldoze on whatever comes up!
| | Rhoan had gotten herself a decent drink as well as a good sleep while Ares rested after their trek through Ilex. There was no record Rhoan had gone through, and about this time this morning there would begin to be stirrings about the Well and the carnage she and Proton had left behind. The antsy ***** hadn't had room on his jetski for Rhoan to go as well (of course) but it ended up working out okay in the end. She'd gotten through Ilex quicker than expected and with time to spare. In that time, she decided, it was time to train.
She saw her next -big- assignment, which would be a kidnapping. Easy enough, especially since the target was small, but she needed to make sure everything would be executed without a hitch. That meant training up her team, possibly evolving a few of them in the process in order to get where she (and the Pokemon) wanted to be. "Cola, c'mere." Rhoan tapped on the ball that held the tiny crocodile and soon the reptile materialized in a flash of light in front of her.
"Cola, you did good on the Dig mission. Knocked those Pokemon out cold. However, we need to make sure you're in full fighting condition so we're gonna do some training together today. First you, then we'll move on from there. You ready?" The dumb Pokemon nodded his head absentmindedly, accidentally nipping his own tongue in the process. "Charmed." The trainer grunted, beginning to walk through the large field between Ilex and Goldenrod. There was no need to go back into that forest again, thank god.
"Any idea when you evolve?" Rhoan asked, not expecting an answer. Cola merely shuffled along behind her, claws scrabbling at the dirt as he waddled. Was it possible she was bored and just looking for any opportunity to talk, even if it was to her Pokemon? Surely not. "Your silence speaks volumes. Hopefully it's soon, and maybe it'll give you a little boost in the IQ for both our sakes. You're strong, but I need you to be able to use your head in battle, and not to bash it into someone." Rhoan continued forward until she found a spot that she was comfortable training in. Far away from other people but a decent walk back to Goldenrod. "Alright. Bulldoze whatever comes up, alright?" It was like babysitting, or holding a toddler's hand when it came to battling with Cola sometimes.

"Daru!" A pokemon called out as Cola kept an eye out for a pokemon. That was when a little red head popped up before disappearing again. "Maka!" A orange hand then popped up, as Cola stood a little confused. "Daru! Maka!" A smallish Pokemon then jumped up taking Cola by surprise a little making it chuckle. This pokemon however was Darumaka, a pokemon known to show up lately, a swarm so to say. Then cola remembered the order, a Bulldoze. So with that said Cola soon stomped on the ground as a little payback. "Daru?" The little pokemon called out before it felt the ground crumble slightly below it. "MAKA!!!" It called out as the bulldoze hit it successfully. "Daru..." The Darumaka fell to the floor, Cola waiting for it to get back up. But it didn't so Cola looked back to Rhoan. Waiting for the next order if any, while some wild pokemon came along while cola wasn't looking. And took the fainted Darumaka away before they too got attacked. Battle

Joltik coming out, x2 Electroweb on whatever fights back!
| | A strange Pokemon Rhoan had never seen before had wandered up to them, and despite her better judgement in commanding so many attacks from Cola, there was no way to actually stop the dumb crocodile from charging forward and knocking the weird Pokemon out. Even if she wanted him to stop, the ground was already shaking as Cola's one track mind enacted his order. Bulldoze. Bulldoze.
Bulldoze.
The Darumaka didn't stand a chance as the ground under it shifted and trembled. What kind of attacks does this swarming Pokemon know? Is it worth anything on the market? What does it evolve into? All of these were questions Rhoan wouldn't get an answer to, because it was already knocked out. Cola had looked to Rhoan after the little red 'mon had been taken down, and Rhoan could only give him a little smile and nod. "Good job, Cola. You did exactly what I told you to do." She half assed praised, suppressing a sigh.
"That was a good opponent for you. Rest for a bit and we'll proceed from there." Rhoan returned the trigger happy Sandile and thought for a moment. Who else needed a battle or two under their belt? Tyrana was doing fine as the strongest, Odin was pretty close as well (perhaps even stronger than Tyrana, but Rhoan would never mention that) but one member stood out. Reaver. She was always used for stealth missions but hadn't seen many battles recently. Time to remedy that.
"Reaver, wake up." Rhoan moved her hair a bit, shaking her head lightly to wake up the Joltik sleeping on the back of her head. Reaver liked the static electricity that built up in Rhoan's hair, and generally stayed there or on her shoulder most of the time. Probably the only true affectionate Pokemon Rhoan had. "We're gonna let you battle a bit, okay? Can't let the rest of the Pokemon get too far ahead of you, ya know." She teased. Reaver let out a squeak and jumped forward into the grass.
Rhoan couldn't see where she went, and for all that the trainer knew Reaver could be making a run for it under the cover of the grass. Assuming Reaver wasn't in fact doing that, Rhoan scanned the horizon for Pokemon. "Electroweb whatever comes around, okay? Unless it's a human trainer. Please don't attack a trainer. We don't want any eyes on us." She whispered to the bug who chirped. Oh nice. She was still here then.
Good.

(I totally didn't do these the wrong way round by accident... *shifty eyes*)The Bug type was, indeed, still there. She was also ready for a battle in this powerful heat wave that had taken over Goldenrod and its surrounding Routes. Reaver travelled through the grass at high speed, looking for an opponent to face as quickly as she could. However, it wouldn't be in the grass that she would find her opponent. Rather, it would be in the air. The strong sunlight had drawn out tonnes of Bug type Pokémon, who thrived in the hot weather. There were swarms upon swarms of insects simply minding their own business, frolicking in the sun. However, this also resulted in a few other Pokémon growing in number. Specifically, birds. A flock of Pidgeotto flew overhead, sensing a chance to pick up a veritable banquet down below. One such Pidgeotto's keen eyes happened to sight a small Bug type zipping across in the grass down below. Its stomach rumbling, the Flying type dived straight for the little one. It really was quite small, so perhaps it wouldn't make much of a meal, but food was food and this bird was quite hungry. Unfortunately for it, it had picked on the wrong creature this time. Reaver looked up as she heard something coming her way and saw the attacker in plenty of time. She sparked excitedly, ready to fight quite quickly. As soon as Pidgeotto saw these sparks, it realised what it had got itself in for. Just its luck, this was an Electric type. Well. That was unfortunate. And, with that understatement out of the way, it tried to quickly pull up back into the air. Reaver was having none of this, though, and shot an Electroweb up at its would-be assailant. The attack clipped Pidgeotto on its heels, pulling it down to the ground quickly. As Pidgeotto came down to earth, its entire body slammed into the negatively-charged silk. It cawed in pain as electricity rippled through its body, but before long it was quiet once more. Not because the attack was over, but because it was already unconscious. Quite a quick match, and a favourable one. Wild Battle

Bulldoze and Assurance on whatever comes up! Switching back to Cola, Reaver's xp from last post needs to be updated
| | Reaver's dispatch of the wild Pidgeotto was nothing if not efficient and quick, so Rhoan had no complaints. She did worry though. Did Reaver have an evolution, and would she decide to evolve her Pokemon further? She liked the idea for strength, but if she grew too large then she wasn't sure what she'd be able to use Reaver for aside from rope and electric utility. It didn't matter right now though, so long as Reaver didn't reach that point yet. "Good job." The Rocket praised, and Reaver gave a few squeaks of approval. That bridge would be crossed another day.
Her other Pokemon though... she needed their brute strength and power increase from evolution so there was no worries about overtraining Cola and that new Nidorino she'd purchased. Both weren't the brightest crayons in the box, but they served their purpose well. Eventually she'd probably have to choose between one or the other, but for right now bolstering her team required a little more training all around so it wasn't as big of an issue this time.
"Reaver, come on back. Let's work out Cola again." This on again off again training style gave her Pokemon time to rest, which allowed them to perform longer. Or so, Rhoan seemed to think. Whether or not it was working would be told by the results she'd see over time. The red-head tapped the ball for Cola to appear once more, who snuffled at some grass and clicked his jaws angrily. It was time to battle again, and that was one of his favorite things! The mindless brute was tough, but he was falling behind the rest of the pack now.
Reaver scurried back up Rhoan's leg and into her vest, and then into her hair to build up some more static while she was resting. "Cola, any idea when you're gonna evolve?"
She was met with a blank stare from Cola. Did he even understand words that weren't his attack? That was something she appreciated to an extent, but she couldn't use him for... finesse operations.
"Well let's see if we can get you there soon. Let's use a Bulldoze and one of your Assurances to see if we can take something down around here." The Rocket muttered to Cola's eager ears. Or, uh, lack of. The croc nodded, confirming that he understood. At least he grasped that part, thankfully.

As Cola's trainer spoke to him, he heard her crystal clear. Did he understand? Even Rhoan wasn't sure as the Croc stood still as right eye slowly winked slowly followed by his left eye. The awkward silence said it all really as Rhoan decided it was time to move on with their quest to evolve.
They walked around for awhile before catching something yellow poke out of the bushes. Cola quickly sprung into action, to hit the first thing he saw. Biting quickly at the yellow blob who was now trying to run away from the attack. The level 14 Drowzee didn't stand a chance as the strong dark type stood proudly over his physic opponent. After the opponent was fainted, they waited for the golden shine to say he was evolving. But the duo had no such luck. Though he did learn something from the battle a sense of pride. Cola fought well in battle. Cola gained 1 levels making them level 25 and gained +1 happiness . Cola wants to learn Swagger forget a move? ooc: updated Rhoan too

Hatari uses Ice Fang and Aqua Jet on whatever comes up!
x2 Running Shoes
| | Cola sensed the Pokemon approaching, and snickered to himself. The Psychic Pokemon wouldn't be able to handle any of the dark moves that he'd be able to dish out, so this was like taking candy from a baby. Or uh, dreams from an ugly nose Pokemon? Cola lined up his attack and the earth shook before him before he bulldozed forward, biting into the poor, underlevelled Pokemon. Or perhaps Cola was overlevelled? Either way, Drowzee was down for the count and Cola was victorious. There was a tingle for a moment and Cola held up his head proudly, waiting for the bright shine of evolution...
... only to fart. His tail raised up slightly and Rhoan's deadpan expression was almost just as hilarious. With a cough the Sandile slid backwards a little bit, shifting uncomfortably from her stare before turning away to see if any other Pokemon were on the approach. Rhoan rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, giving him one last look before turning around. "Not quite, then. Hmm. Guess we'll have to move on soon. If you're knocking the Pokemon out this easily then i'm sure we'll have slow progress here. Hatari should get a shot and then we'll finish up."
At the name of his teammate, Cola lifted his head only to be sucked into the bright, red light of the Pokeball. His form digitized and disappeared into the capsule, leaving the plains before Goldenrod silent (and less smelly.) With a swift click of the ball Rhoan released Hatari, the trigger-happy Carvanha, onto the ground. It took her a few moments to steady herself, and when she spat out a bit of water to form around her, she was able to turn around and face Rhoan.
Her jaws were getting longer and required occasional filing so she didn't accidentally bite too hard and pierce her own flesh, but they were looking fine for now. Prime and poised, ready for action. "A bit of training before we keep going, okay?" The trainer grunted, moving a piece of hair from her face. Hatari chomped her jaws down with satisfaction before nodding and swimming in a slight circle in the air. The water bubbled around her. "Interesting. Either way. Ice Fang and Aqua Jet. Use those to take down whatever comes our way, got it? Except a person. I don't feel like running from the IPF today, please."
God, what a way to end a day if that happened. Rhoan shuddered to think of it. Though... if it would help her Pokemon evolve...

The good news for Rhoan was that the local IPF were too busy with reports of trainers abusing the swarming Tynamo population to come after her but had she known the next Pokemon to jump out had razor sharp claws she might just hope they would show up. With the lack of police to stop her from picking on Pokemon a justice seeking Zangoose stepped out of the tall grass after watching her last battle from a distance. If she thought she could knock out every Pokemon in the area with impunity she was sadly mistaken. The mongoose Pokemon was the alpha of the local pack and it had been in some tough scraps. Seviper were a far greater threat to Zangoose then Hatari was and it was going to knock her down a few pegs. As she floated towards the large normal type Pokemon she thought she was in the clear. Being a higher level Pokemon she felt invincible as her jaw opened wide will turning to pure ice. It was only when Zangoose's claw slashed across her mouth nearly knocking all the teeth out of her mouth that she realized she had royally messed up. The Slash attack had scored a critical hit and the pain from the attack was too much to handle. Hatari fell onto the ground out cold with a huge cut in her mouth. Zangoose did pay a small price as even her mouth was very rough causing one of its claws to snap in half. Rhoan's plans to raise Hatari would half to be put on hold as Zangoose was not satisfied with knocking out just Hatari. It would not rest until all her Pokemon suffered its wrath so she would be forced to beg for mercy. For now it had earned a few moments rest and the upper hand but this battle was far from over. Pokemon Battle
Zangoose| Level 20 HP: 87% (57/65 HP) Status: Normal Move: Slash(Critical Hit) Hurt by Rough Skin VS Rhoan's Hatari | Level 25 HP: 0% (0/65 HP) Status: OHKO Move: OHKO
Hatari was knocked out please select a new Pokemon. Hatari loses 1 happiness and has +5 happiness overall. OOC: I am absolutely in awe typing this. I really wish I could have screenshotted this roll. Easily my worst 1 in over a year.

Sending out Joltik, using Thunder Wave and Electroweb
Running Shoes x2 (since Hatari died before she could... derp)
| | Rhoan's eyes narrowed as soon as she saw the challenger approach. A Zangoose had appeared after watching their last bout, and it didn't seem very happy. While Rhoan thought that the Pokemon itself was asthetically pleasing, she knew that it could mean bad news for Hatari if she didn't play her cards right. The fish didn't seem to be phased much by the oncoming challenger and remained where she floated, jaws gnashing and teeth snapping. "Watch out Hatari, that's a nasty set of claws."
Hatari snorted and rolled her eyes, preparing the icy attack that would be the downfall of the foolish Zangoose. She was ready to charge forward, fins shaking in anticipation, but it was abruptly halted by the Zangoose. It took a few moments for Hatari to realize what had happened, but in what felt like slow motion, Zangoose's claw broke and Hatari fell to the ground. Limp. She flopped unceremoniously to the ground as though she'd belonged there. It was almost embarrassing how quickly the battle was over, but Hatari wouldn't be conscious to feel the shame. Rhoan merely blinked, almost impressed.
"That was... not what I was expecting."
Zangoose turned to face her, nursing it's broken claw for a moment while Rhoan figured out what to do. To take Hatari out in one hit... that was impressive. Granted, she was offense and not defense, it was still impressive. Would this Pokemon make a worthy team-member? Perhaps she could sell it, there were plenty of 'good' stocked Pokemon around here, she could sell it off for a decent price. Speaking of Price... she could sell it to that Nursery she kept breeding her Pokemon in. Egsg were worth a fortune on the black market.
It was decided.
"You're not too shabby. I think we'll take you." She said out loud to the Zangoose before tapping the back of her head on the tiny fuzzy spot latched onto her hair. Summoned awake, Reaver the Joltik blinked slowly before hopping from head to shoulder, and from shoulder to the ground. She'd been used previously, wasn't it someone else's turn? Reaver answered her own question by looking at the not-yet-returned puddle of Hatari on the ground. Her jaws were wide open, slightly off centered since her lower jaw was larger.
"This is an important target. We're either going to utilize this Pokemon or sell it. I want to capture it, so let's start off with a Thunder Wave. After that, let's get a little damage with your Electroweb." Rhoan called out, waiting for the tiny body of the Joltik to 'nod' in her direction. Reaver pushed herself up onto her back legs and wriggled momentarily before falling back down onto all feet. That was close enough, right?
Reaver stared across the way at the Zangoose. Did she know much about these Pokemon? Rhoan seemed to, but judging by how quickly that seemed to go a bit of underestimation had occurred. The Joltik felt a small pang of sympathy for Hatari; when she woke up she was going to be furious and angry. Better to be latched onto the back of Rhoan's head versus in the middle of the warpath.
"Maybe i'll put that broken claw on the market too. Or turn it into some trinket for the Pokemon itself. A battle reminder." Rhoan muttered to herself, trying to figure out what exactly she wanted to do with the Zangoose. She didn't have much time to muse on it though, as the battle was about to unfold and she was SURE there wasn't going to be much room for error here. "Alright, let's go."

Zangoose met Rhoan's appraising eyes with a fierce glare of its own, hackles rising. This was no newbie trainer caught unawares and thus easy prey, and suffering a 'war wound' of sorts had only made things worse. But it was nothing if not a cunning Pokemon, and waited to see what this obviously tough customer would try next. Zangoose was confident, and brazen enough, to stick around - especially if Rhoan kept offering up her Pokemon for it to whet its remaining claws upon. So when Reaver was selected to battle next, the cat-ferret peered down at the small Joltik and let out what sounded like a suspiciously derisive snort. Was this human testing it? That was the only way Zangoose could justify why she would send out something it could likely squash with one foot.
Reaver was probably used to other Pokemon dismissing her status as a potential threat, though in this case she was especially glad as her eyes snagged on those very sharp-looking claws. Zangoose noticed this, and smirked before making a show of carefully sharpening them against one another with a loud grating noise. Reaver shuddered slightly, but she didn't let it deter her from launching a small orb of electricity at the Normal-type. Zangoose winced as the Thunder Wave made contact, fur rising on end as the paralysis settled in. Eyes filling with indignation, it made as if to move forwards with both paws raised intimidatingly in the air. Already going for her follow-up move, Reaver ignored Zangoose's advance to quickly spin a sticky web that landed just in front of her foe.
What Zangoose didn't see was the sparks that jumped throughout the silken threads, and it tripped over the web with a furious cry at the sudden, unexpected pain that coursed through its body. Eyes blazing, Zangoose hurled itself with a savage hiss at Rhoan's Joltik, claws arcing through the air too quick for Reaver to jump away from. The blow sent her tumbling end over end to come to an abrupt stop at Rhoan's feet, dizzily regaining her feet and stumbling back to her original position. Taking another strike from the infuriated Zangoose wasn't something Reaver wanted to experience again, feeling a little more sympathy for what had happened to Hatari.

Using Greatball on Zangoose.
Goodness, 4 years for a Rhoan post. Woof.
| | Useless. All of this fighting, and for what? It was useless for Zangoose to fight back. Even if Rhoan lost a handful of Pokemon here, there would always be one to take the last's place. She could snap her fingers and with a torrent of flame absolutely incinerate that jagged Pokemon where it stood.
And yet?
The Rocket couldn't help but be the slightest bit impressed. This Pokemon would've been helpful back home, sticking it to the Rangers and getting into general mischief. She could make a decent profit off of it should she wish to sell it... the possibilities were endless. Seeing it's tenacity and strength though awakened a more... benevolent side of the trainer, perhaps? Benevolent never truly fell back to generous, though. The Zangoose would go through training hell until Rhoan was pleased with it's efforts (Let's be honest, it was where Hatari was about to go) and then and only then would it be sold or used in battle. There was no point peddling sub-par Pokemon off. Sure, it could beat one or two of her team, but she'd have it wiping everyone else's before she slapped her name to it.
It had been decided. As the paralysis took hold of the creature's limbs, Rhoan let out the tiniest of breaths, unaware she'd been holding it. If you couldn't tame a bucking Tauros immediately, you did it slowly. Chip away at it's defenses. Let it lose it's steam until nothing was left but the steaming husk for the scavengers. Well, Tyrana wasn't involved so there'd be no steam, but the thought still held merit.
"Reaver. Move." Her grunt was enough for the Joltik to bounce off to the side, burrowing deep into the grasses of the surrounding area to give Rhoan time to prep the Great Ball in her hands. It expanded hollowly, ready to suck in whatever Pokemon the trainer desired. With the Zangoose in her sights, a practiced arm let the capsule fly through the air, soaring squarely towards the Zangoose in an attempt to take it for her own arsenal. Names were trivial, but she'd make sure to give this one a good one.
Should she end up keeping it, of course.
Otherwise, that was someone else's problem, and Rhoan would be all the richer for it. Pokemon existed to be used, right? In a way, they were currency all their own.

The red streaked fighter was fighting hard. Claws primed and freshly honed it knew it just had to keep swiping and eventually it could conquer all that opposed it. Now if only its muscles would stop spasming. The odd twitches of neck and wrist almost made the fierce wild pokemon more menacing. Its large talons flicking here and there while zangoose made to try and ground itself. Its sharp weapons had no trouble sinking into the ground. Its red eyes remained fixed on the small electric bug. But that wasn't where its focus should have been. Zangoose's keen eyes followed the sudden jump of the spider, ears flicking as a secondary instinct to the words of the trainer. It didn't think much of them at first, as trainers often spoke to tell their pokémon to attack. The wild pokemon's tunnel vision on its target allowed Rhoan to follow through her throw without any trouble notching for her own target. The greatball rolled through the air and lobbed the large ferret on the shoulder, sucking the beast away before a lightning motion of claw to swat whatever had just touched it. The blue ball rolled loudly back and forth once it had touched the ground. Zangoose was continuing to fight with all it had, but that paralysis certainly didn't help with its efforts. Eventually the device chimed success. SUCCESS!
Reaver gained 1000XP and +1 Happiness! (+7)
Zangoose was captured! It will be added to Rhoan's PC. Bike ON Running Shoes ON Sandile/Cola using Bulldoze x2 Words added to egg
| | Hmph. That had been a little too close for comfort. The rising Rocket needed everything she could get to continue to pull ahead within the ranks, impressing her superiors and hopefully progressing within this region. Her training had served her well, but she needed to now train the team of Pokemon to follow in her stead. Things weren't like this back home in Oblivia. She couldn't just wrangle a Pokemon into submission anymore, as tempting as it was.
"Doesn't matter. Let's continue forward." The gruff trainer mumbled, returning her Pokemon (save for the tiny Joltik, Reaver) and continuing through the ever-increasing fog that graced Goldenrod. Sounds of battles could be heard, so at least the Pokemon were still out and about, but hopefully that meant that only the strong ones remained so that Rhoan would get a good training experience out of it. She knew what was ahead mission wise, so if she wanted to pull off a stunt wild enough to anger a Gym Leader, she was going to need to have the perfect team to follow that up.
"Cola."
The Sandile was summoned in a flash of bright light, her finger pressing the button on the Pokeball to release the crocodile from his capsule. He blinked a few times, eyes readjusting to the world around him before his sleepy visage turned to Rhoan. Normally this Pokemon was eager. Energetic. What was wrong? Had she caught him sleeping?
"We're going to train. Wake up."
They had plenty of time to sleep and rest between fights. It was his turn now, and he'd have to step up so that they could progress.
"We're going to do this in rapid succession. Keep up." The bike she'd gotten from the Goldenrod store was incredibly helpful for getting places quickly when she couldn't barrel through crowds atop a Tauros. Perhaps it had a place when it came to battling as well? Getting from point A to point B quickly was nice. They'd been travelling in Goldenrod's outskirts for a while as well, it was time to start heading back. The bike would cut that time in half. Perhaps Cola could snap at a few things on the way and really get the party going.
"Bulldoze through anything in our path. I want your jaws strong and your mind sharp for what is ahead. You will play a big part, if my intel is correct."
Her intel was usually never wrong.

An abra was doing what abra did best: sleeping. But its bright yellow fur made it easy to spot and it had chosen a bad place for a rest. Usually that wasn't a problem as its psychic powers warned it well before anyone got too close and it could teleport to safety before the intruder even discovered it had been there. Cola's dark side confused it though as it couldn't really feel him as it usually could, and too late it realized danger was approaching. The next moment a rambuk slammed into and knocked it out as it disappeared into the void. A wild Abra [lvl 19] appears! It is Bulldozed into the ground before it gets to do anything! Cola got 950 exp from beating the abra (950/1951) He also gets +1 Happiness (+8) Shiny: 6J9ty82d1-421-42
