At death's door(Tyler Dying Wish)

Tyler had been back in New Bark Town to aquire a Pokedex and that was it. However after he got his grubby hands on one he was thrown off track by Mania who caught a whiff of a strange smelling Pokemon. She was unfamiliar with the Pokemon in question but she could tell it was no common Pokemon. She led Tyler into a clearing and in the center sat a young boy with two Pokemon. The first was a Scatterbug which though rare in Johto were pretty common elsewhere the other Pokemon was quite rare. The Larvesta was quite a sight as even in their home region of Unova there were a very rare sight. Tyler could hardly believe his eyes.

Tyler barely noticed as Kent started to speak as Larvesta was all he cared about at the moment. If he could snag it he would surely get a promotion in Team Rocket. It would have been a very easy task to do as Kent was in no shape to defend himself from an attack but the young man had finally said something that caught Tyler's attention. Kent offered him prizes for the various forms of Vivillon of all kinds. Just like with Professor Elm he was quite willing to play the role of a good guy if the payout was good enough and so he played along with the young man. Tyler smiled as he looked over at Mania as the two tried to keep their evil deeds a secret while Höllenhund kept watch from behind a nearby tree.

" So you wish to see every form of Vivillon? I think I can help you out there as I am a collector of sorts. I see you are not very well and I can be quick at helping you achieve your dream but it will cost you. My fee per Vivillon will be cheap but if I do bring you all 20 I would like that Larvesta as payment." He said as he looked right at the young bug. After giving Kent a moment to think it over Tyler asked for confirmation either way as it would be worth the effort to get all 20 forms of Vivillon if he got a Larvesta out of the deal. " So do we have a deal? This Scatterbug of yours will be a great down payment to me helping you achieve your goals so I think I will gladly take it off you hands."

Kent sighed in between his incessant coughs. The foggy weather of Route 29 was a perfect backdrop to signal his own sorrowful mood. He kept trying to grab the attention of passersby as he stood around New Bark's entrance, but the trainers that flooded out of the placid town either completely ignored him or actively ran away from him. It wasn't like he was contagious or anything, but these ignorant folk didn't seem to care all that much. At his feet, a Scatterbug and Larvesta looked up at their trainer with concern in their eyes. Just as the boy was about to give up hope, though, someone made their presence known by speaking to him. Kent couldn't believe his luck. He quickly started on a rant of how he wanted to see all the Vivillon types before his inevitable... well... before long. The kindly stranger had a certain discomforting aura about him, but Kent didn't let this distract him. He was going to complete his dream, no matter what it took. He knew how rejection went by now, so there was nothing to lose here. What Tyler said next shocked him. Yes? Was he sure? Was this a joke? Kent didn't know what to think.

'Wow... you mean it, sir? Thank you! Don't worry about my health though *cough*, it's fine! Even better to hear that you're gonna help! *cough*' The request of payment took him a little by surprise at first, but he soon reassured himself. Of course this man would want payment. Nothing in life was free, was it? Kent nodded happily at Tyler's request. 'Of course, mister! *cough* *wheeze* I'll give you whatever you want if you just complete this quest for me! *cough* I'm sure Larvesta wouldn't mind, would you buddy?' Larvesta looked much less pleased with this sudden promise, unease firmly etched on its face. Kent didn't seem to take this on board though. At least, not really. 'Don't worry, I'm sure he'll be a great owner for you, pal! And you too, Scatterbug. *cough* Now come here...' Scatterbug was a lot more accepting of the situation, agreeing to return to its ball when asked. With the little Bug type stored away, Kent handed the ball to Tyler. 'So, it's a deal, mister. *cough* *cough* Here's the Scatterbug I promised. When you've got a new form, just come to Route 29 and see me. I'll still be here. *cough* Promise!'
