Moving on to 39 for training. Moving Lucky Egg to Zoroark. Exp share to Luxray. Zoroark using Dark Pulse x2 (Running Shoes) Head still swimming with thoughts and emotions, Justin left Ecruteak behind him. The Burned Tower pulsed through his mind and his thoughts raced, but there was nothing more to be done here. He'd visit the Dance Hall probably later tonight to see a performance before committing to his trip towards Olivine. For now, it was time to train. The Pokeballs strapped to his belt and camera strap buzzed with anticipation. After the fight with Suicune they were all looking to get better.
After all, the dogs promised another battle. Justin wanted to make sure they were ready for them.
"Alright, team. My camera is broken and I can't get the part I need to fix it until we get to Olivine so i'm in trainer mode for now." The trainer pushed his glasses up so they sat higher than the bridge of his nose. "We've got a lot of progress we need to make before our next rendezvous with the beasts. Since we don't know when that is, we need to get stronger! I promise ya'll, we'll treat ourselves to a lovely night out at the Dance Hall if we do a good job out here!"
Justin didn't doubt his team for a second, but it was nice to give them something to look forward to. They didn't know when they'd see the legendary beasts again, so that motivation would burn out eventually. If he gave them a couple of things to think about...
"Kuuma, you're up!"
A pokeball burst forth, revealing not a Zoroark but an Emboar. The porcine Pokemon punched at the air, gauging a reaction, but Justin only blinked. Realizing the trick was a bit off the mark, Kuuma sighed and turned back into his true form: A Zoroark.
"Man, I gotta stop doin' that or i'm gonna get you used to the surprise!" The fox huffed, crossing his arms.
"Yeah yeah. It is really impressive, but don't let what Morty said go to your head! We all still have a long way to go, and you're still the youngest out of the bunch. Let's get some more training in." The photographer reached out and gave the beast a pat on the head before scratching behind his ear. "You did a good job, so I want to see the same hustle out here and you'll be making babies cry in no time."
Thumping his foot, Kuuma grinned. "Awww, man, you say the sweetest things. Let's do it! For the reactions! For the pranks! Ya-HOOOO!"

Unbeknownst to Justin a Pokemon had been watching since before he even tossed Kuuma's Pokeball. The Pokemon in question had been waiting to see if the young man would be worth the effort to battle or not and the appearance of an Emboar got the wild Pokemon to be quite excited as it walked towards the young man and the strange Pokemon. Before it could leave the grass however the strange Pokemon transformed into a Zoroark really leaving the wild Pokemon confused but even more curious to challenge the young man. As it finally stepped out of the bushes its identity would surly be recognized by Justin as a Miltank. Without so much as a peep the cow walked towards Kuuma with its curiosity peaked. Having never seen a Zoroark before it had no idea what to expect. The cow Pokemon had made quite an error in getting to close to Kuuma as he fired off an evil aura filled with dark energy causing massive damage as it struck the cow. Had Miltank been any other species the battle would have been all but over by now but Miltank were known for taking a beating and this one was no exception. As she recovered from the pain and shock of the attack she started to suckle on one of her udders drinking the nutritious milk she produced to recover some of her health. Just when she was starting to feel better Kuuma fired another Dark Pulse leaving the cow in a pretty bad situation but still standing thanks to her recovery efforts in the first round. As she could not win without attacking however the cow knew she had to strike. She rushed towards Kuuma and jumped into the air landing right on top of him. Her weight along with her strength led to the attack doing a lot of damage but she was not strong enough to knock him out and she could not outspeed him either. Things were looking pretty bleak about now but there was one thing she could still do, and that was to plead for Justin to show her some kind of mercy before Kuuma could get another Dark Pulse off. Even then she knew her chances of mercy were slim as Kuuma would likely not take the Body Slam very kindly and after being dumb enough to get close to him she knew she was asking for trouble in hindsight. Wild Battle (Weather: Rain)Miltank | Level 26 HP: 25% (24/93 HP) Status: Normal Miltank used Milk Drink( Healed 47 hp) Used Body Slam VS
Justin's Kuuma | Level 32 HP: 64% (58/90 HP) Status: Normal Item: Lucky Egg Kuuma used Dark Pulse x2 (56 damage then 60 damage!

Using Ultra Ball on Miltank The appearance of the first Pokemon on the route didn't startle Justin as much as what it was. The harrowing battle against Whitney's Miltank and her devastating Rollout attack sent Justin spiraling into a mini-flashback of having to deal with the frustrating creature. Set to -never- have to do it again, Justin figured he could take that knowledge from Whitney and apply it to this battle. "Alright Kuuma, be careful, okay?" He began to speak, but the Zoroark was already leagues ahead of him with an attack.
"... or not. Eh."
The first attack struck true and Justin was rather surprised to see the Miltank worse for wear, instead of the other way around. Maybe we all have improved more than I realized... He had to give his Pokemon a little more faith. He couldn't keep treating them like papermache Pokemon, after all. Besides! His Luxray took on a Suicune! Well... kind of.
"Not bad Kuuma! Give it another go!"
The Miltank had healed up, prolonging the battle. Neither Justin or Kuuma seemed to mind, though. In fact, the thought sparked Justin to rifle through his bag to find the singular Ultra Ball he'd been holding on to. If he was gonna get gifted a strong Pokemon from the get go on this route, he might as well take advantage of the opportunity. Miltanks were incredibly versatile and useful creatures.
"Sorry Kuuma, step aside real quick." The ears of the fox immediately drooped for a moment and then perked back up when he saw the Pokeball. Kuuma nodded in understanding and hopped to the side to allow his trainer to toss it. "Here's to a good catch?" He shrugged, tossing the powerful sphere in the direction of the cow.

Miltank was exhausted but still able to fight as the third round got underway. In a bit of a twist of fate however Justin had chosen to forego defeating the bovine Pokemon instead option to try and capture it while it was so tired. As he tossed the ball it scored a direct hit on Miltank's abdomen as the cow disappeared into the ball in a bright red flash. The ball landed on the ground with a heavy thud as it started to shake very violently as Miltank tried to break out. The first shake offered hope that things would end well for Justin and a second made it seem like luck might actually be on his side. Before the third shake however the ball busted open as Miltank was able to break the lock on the ball. The bovine took full advantage of the failed capture by running towards Kuuma in a desperate act to knock him out before he could attack again by using another powerful Body Slam. As she landed right on top of Kuuma a loud popping sound could be heard coming from Kuuma's back as the impact had broken a few bones in his back greatly reducing his mobility. He could hardly even stand as Miltank got off of him as the pain was so severe. He was lucky that with time he would make a full recovery but for the time being he was not going to be able to outpace the cow nor could he afford to take another hit with the shape he was currently in. As the fourth round loomed ahead Justin had a very difficult choice to make as Miltank would be a lot harder to capture without any Ultra Balls. Whichever choice he made one thing was for certain, his bad memories of Whitney's Miltank were likely going to come flying back into his mind. Wild Battle (Weather: Rain)Miltank | Level 26 HP: 25% (24/93 HP) Status: Normal Miltank used Body Slam VS
Justin's Kuuma | Level 32 HP: 33% (31/90 HP) Status: Paralyzed!(25% speed reduction) Item: Lucky Egg Justin used Ultra Ball (Failed)!

Soda Pop used Dark Pulse on Miltank Damn it really has been two years wtf Tch. A spot of bad luck, Justin noted, as the Ultra Ball burst open. The container turned into mere shards as the plastic seemed to litter the ground as the bovine rose back to its full height. Not quite as menacing as Whitney's Miltank, it still sent a shiver down the back of his spine. How long had it been? Not too terribly long ago. Goldenrod felt like years ago, and yet here he was, just on the outskirts of Olivine. My, how time had flown.
Still, it wasn't going to fly any faster if they stayed here in this battle. Gritting his teeth, Justin reached down to pull out another pokeball, much to Kuuma's chagrin. "Whoah, whoah, whoah, hey?! What's that for? We still-" The Zoroark winced as a pulse of pain racked through his body, stalling him for the briefest of moments. "-we... we got this. I ain't gonna get any stronger if I don't put this steak through the grinder, eh?"
Justin's brow furrowed. "Kuuma, that's horrifically insensi- What do you suppose we do? That thing gets another slam on you, you're gonna be a pancake." The headstrong fox was eager and excited to joke and play, but there wasn't much that could be done about the situation. He either needed to heal the Pokemon, or switch him out. He doubted another Ultra Ball would do the trick, even if he had one. Shame. Perhaps a trip to the Pokemart was in order after this.
"I dunno, I just do what i've been doing!" Zoroark shrugged with a wink and a shrug. Justin rolled his eyes and took off his bag, beginning to furrow through it.
"Yeah, cause that's worked out for you so well now..." Despite the banter back and forth, it was clear Justin was digging in his bag for some sort of item. Not a pokeball, but perhaps something to give the fox a bit of an edge. Something to finish up the battle, perhaps? A shiny bottle of cola was produced, and after a few moments consideration (Justin was thirsty, after all...) he tossed the drink over to the Zoroark.
As soon as the drink hit his paws, the Zoroark grinned widly. "Heeeeeey, hey hey, now we're talking!" Kuuma held the bottle up in triumph, as though he'd climbed the highest peak in the region to reach said treasure, before proceeding to down its contents. "This outta put some more gas in my tank. Give us a few turns extra to turn this cow into roadkill!" The Pokemon jumped back and forth on each foot eagerly, only occasionally wincing from the paralysis.
"Don't let your guard down! It can still take you out, or you can still get paralyzed! Just take it easy, and give it another Dark Pulse. You got this, Kuuma." Justin reassured from the sidelines. If his Pokemon *really* wanted to stay and fight, he couldn't stop it. It was better to support him in training endeavors, rather than to just ignore his wishes. Hopefully they turned out for the best, and Justin could turn this rough battle into their favor.

The pastel bovine didn't hurry the pair as they discussed, finding the little break well needed. It had only been a couple exchanges but each hit like a raging tauros. Plus the looming possibility that another capture attempt would be on its way was pressed into the miltank's mind. Whatever was going on though it seemed to have the trainer and his pet monster a little stressed. Miltank's gaze followed the toss of the beverage, perking up a little at the sight. It wasted no time. As the bipedal wolf popped off the lid and began downing the drink the cow took advantage of the opportunity to do the same. A rush of relief washed through all its sore limbs and bruises from the dark power that had previously thrashed against the tough pink leather. Miltank breathed anew once finished. A fresh take of moist air seeping into its nostrils. The rain continued to patter about. A never ending series of tiny slaps over the landscape. The tanky normal type slapped its sides and nodded, seeming to take on a defensive stance. Its hooves spread to even its stance. The bovine had bunkered down. There was a slight sheen to its coat as it waited eagerly for the zoroark to move. Of which even stricken with paralysis was not a long wait from Kuuma. Another, albeit slightly involuntarily twitchy, growth of dark energy expanded before the illusive pokemon and pulsated forth in a harsh blast. Miltank weathered it as best it could. In the end it was still standing; barely. Perhaps it had underestimated how much more it could take. Using Timer Ball on Miltank "Heh. They're really not making it easy on us, are they?" Justin gaped, surprised at the absolute resiliency of their bovine adversary. The flashbacks from Whitney's gym continued, despite the fact they were long beyond the days of Goldenrod gym. "I gotta admit. She's a hefty fighter."
"Can we... can we not praise this hoofer, please? I'm kind of in a tch!!- spot here!-" The Zoroark grunted, still feeling the effects of the Paralysis despite having a much better outlook when it came to health. Virtually healed back to full, Kuuma was rip, roaring, and ready to go, and yet Justin was holding back? The way the man's eyes focused in on the adversary... Yes. He was right- the Miltank was biding its time.
Justin frowned. "That's... not great."
"Come up with that on your own?" Kuuma teased, waggling a claw at his trainer in amusement.
While it looked like Justin had a retort of some sort, he kept it to himself as the man began digging in his bag once again. Kuuma practically salivated, paws moving to his mouth in excitement. "What could it be? A treat for little 'ol me? A poffin per chance? Or a gateau for the good boy?"
No, the strange device Justin had pulled out... another Pokeball of some sort, no?
The Zoroark threw his hands up in the air in exasperation. "Oh come on! That didn't work the first time, why would it work this time?" Dark energy swirled around the Pokemon's paws, eager and ready to take out the Miltank where it waited. "We can take it out right now!"
Justin merely grinned, shaking his head. "No, I have a better idea- You still got what you wanted, and that was a battle. If this doesn't work, you'll still get one. But... This Pokeball is different." As soon as the man's thumb engaged the center button, the Pokeball expanded in his hand with a slight ticking sound. "This ball bides it's time, just like our friend over there. The longer this battle goes, the stronger these-" He held up the Timer Ball. "- get. See what I mean?"
With a wink and a smirk, Justin lobbed the Timer Ball over at the Miltank, hoping he'd have a better shot at catching this time. If not, well, they'd have a totally different problem on their hands, now wouldn't they?

Usually it was a good tactic for the cow to bide her time and payback tenfold but this time it didn't seem like it was the best idea. Actually it made her kind of stuck and at the mercy of her opponents as she might not withstand yet another attack from the black fox, but also made it quite hard to dodge any incoming pokeball, if Justin decided to try that again. Most pokemon she had met didn't know what it was all about and would go on attacking her, now she suddenly became an easy target, only for her to repay it all and more, much to their shock. The few she had run into afterwards had not wanting to face her in battle again. A look on the human worried the bovine, he didn't seem like he would fall for her trick, even though it this time probably wouldn't have made any difference. The rain soaked her skin as she waited, it was a thing she was good at. Justin made his decision and the pokeball flew. Miltank braced herself for another struggle with the device, it had been a tough one last time but she was a tough pokemon. The ball striked true, there weren't much the miltank could do to avoid it anyway, and it fell to the ground and right into a puddle. It shook once.. twice.. A third time and the battle was over, miltank had lost the battle with the device which now lay still in the puddle of water. Hopefully the pokeballs were waterproof! Miltank was caught! Kuuma endured the battle and gains +975 exp! He grows to [lvl 33]! (206/3367) He also gains +1 Happiness (+11)! Simba gains +650 exp through the exp. share. (2994/3367) Please fill out the code below: [img src="https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/xyani/miltank.gif"] [img src="https://www.serebii.net/itemdex/sprites/timerball.png"] [b]Miltank[/b] Name: [choose] Gender: Female Level: 26 OT: Justin Pryce Moves: Milk Drink, Rollout, Bide, Body Slam Ability: Thick Fat or Scrappy Nature/Personality: [choose] Of course its move pool have changed since when it was spawned.. I'm giving it the one it had back then simply because it would be a mess if it had something entirely different now ^^

Throw blank miltank into box please <3 600 Words added to Horsea egg. Lucky Egg to Gallade, please. Split Birthday cake on Vibrava, Gallade, Zoroark Bike ON, Running Shoes: Gallade uses Psycho Cut x2
With nowhere to go, and no way to make a counter-move, Justin smirked to himself as the ball hurtled closer and closer to the bovine creature in question. Despite Kuuma and his absolute frenzy, every piece of fur shaking with anticipation as he was geared up and ready to go despite his Paralysis, but if Justin had his way Kuuma's participation would finally be over. As the Timer Ball sucked in the adversary, Justin waited with intense anticipation. The ball began to shake, the wild throes of the bovine beast battering brashly inside, but to no true avail. As the shakes got weaker and weaker, Justin let out a sigh of relief (a large breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding) and let his shoulders finally relax.
It was over. This cow menace, the inducer of Whitney flashbacks... it was over.
"Goodness. Glad we didn't have to face her down any longer than that.." Justin muttered, stepping forward to slowly pick up the now-inhabited capsule. "Whitney sure picks her Pokemon well. This 'ol girl was a real beast."
"Well it's not like she played it smart!" The Zoroark huffed, puffing out his chest as if he were any smarter than the wild Pokemon they just faced. "I know what you're thinking, mister, and I may have one trick but you know I pull that trick off super well." Kuuma crossed his arms, flinching a bit as a new wave of paralysis washed over him. "We ought to fix this."
"We can all probably use a rest at the Pokemon Center real quick." Justin murmured, appraising his team. They could drop off the Miltank inside as well, right? It was perfect planning. Maybe a snack along the way too, just to keep spirits up. He quickly returned the fox before Kuuma could protest loudly, packing up their gear and moving back towards the city behind them to heal.
Back outside, after having had a light snack of some cake (because some Pokemon were insistent...) Justin turned his sights back on training. If they wanted to go see the kimono performance, they'd need to earn their evening off. He coudln't use this opportunity to sell promotional photos for the establishment unfortunately, so he was stuck doing this instead. Not that he minded. He could probably use the night off too.
Whatever your thinking, I agree.
Oh hush. I don't need a break. You guys are doing all the work.
Surreo, the easiest Pokemon to communicate with thanks to his psychic powers, entered his thoughts to speak while Justin began to bike along the edge of the route, curious what manner of beastie would jump out at them this time. He'd put this bike to good use now that he had it, rather than just letting it collect dust.
We all need breaks. Even you. Don't worry! I take breaks. I'm just stressed right now thanks to my broken camera. Ah, yes. You are getting it fixed though, right? It is important to you. Like we are to you. You guys are in a league all your own, don't worry. You can appreciate and love something without loving it more than the people you care about in your life. Attachments, but simply that. Or just a job. Training you guys... it isn't a job to me. You're my friends. Family, even. Then allow me to help get the last member of the family back. Your camera. We can leave when we're stronger, yes? Yeah. If... if that's what you want, man. Let's do it. Let's try to Psycho Cut anything that gets in our way, yeah? Lets.

It was a nice windy weather and the little doduo enjoyed its fresh run. The ground was nice and easy and it could run from anyone it know so it wasn't really worried. It did notice someone in the distance but was upon them too fast to wonder if they were dangerous or not. Surreo reacted fast and only one of his special cuts were needed to send the flightless bird flying. Doduo [lvl 24] appears and is knocked out before it knew what hit it. Surreo gets 1 lvl making him [lvl 34]from the cake and (600+300 from Lucky egg) 900 exp (1650/3571) He also gains +1 happiness (+13) Kuuma gets +1 level and happiness from the cake, making him [lvl 34] and (+12) He can learn Agility if he forgets another move. Freya also gets +1 level and happiness from the cake, making her [lvl 36] and (+15 Max) Simba gets +600 exp from the exp.share. He grows to level 34! Closing Thread! <3 Ignoring Agility. Updating egg. Justin whistled through his teeth, bike pulled to a halt as the Gallade quickly burst forth from his pokeball. A beast in battle, the Pokemon was quick to absolutely obliterate the competition. "W-Whoah." That was all the trainer managed.
Surreo turned to look at his trainer, the psychic energy extending the blades on his arms slowly fading with every passing moment that the battle was over, almost as if sheathing a sword. Do you think that we are ready to go rest now?
The question had caught the trainer off guard, but it definitely made sense. If they were really knocking Pokemon out that easily on the route (goodness that Doduo was gone in a flash!) then perhaps he was just overtraining the team. They seemed to be excited, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad to go ahead and get some rest. Feeling like they'd gotten a decent bit of training in, Justin shrugged and chuckled as he turned the bike around. "Okay, okay. Dancers it is."
The Gallade grinned and dipped his head slowly, moving to disappear back into the capsule he called his home. With nothing else to wrap up here, Justin stopped in Olivine for supplies before trekking back to Ecruteak for the night, and the dance performance at hand.
