A sweet treat (Honey Tree Encounter)(ON HOLD)

[Marchbaby]

Marchbaby has just arrived at his estate to try out the honey tree he recently ordered. According to the manual that came with it the tree could attract Pokemon that were not native to his estate and in some cases Pokemon that rarely appeared in other places and he just had to try it out as he had received a single bottle of honey a while back. If the instructions were accurate he would have to spread the entire jar across the tree to attract a Pokemon so he started to do just that with the help of his entire team. Bonecrusher covered the very bottom of the tree with his paws while the rest of March's Pokemon randomly spread the rest around until not a single drop was left.

The instructions said it might take a little time to attract a Pokemon so he started up a conversation while he waited. " It sure has been a long time since I have been here and this poor Greenhouse has yet to be used by me so I am glad to finally put it to use. Next time I see Kevin I will have to tell him the news and let him use that empty bunker I had placed here with no real use right now. I am sure he could use it for something meaningful." Vör was more interested in exploring the rest of the estate than she was waiting for some Pokemon to get a snack off of a tree but she knew there would be time for that later and she knew Marchbaby might need her help if a Pokemon showed up.

" I do hope whatever it is shows up soon. That bunker sounds neat and exploring this estate sounds a lot cooler than standing around." Before Marchbaby could say a word however the sound of something approaching caused him to shift gears and get his Pokemon ready. " OK everyone be ready, I have no clue what Pokemon this tree might attract but the Pokemon living here are pretty high leveled unlike most of the ones you have encountered so do not do anything reckless." As his team stood by waiting for the encounter Marchbaby stood dead silent as he looked around the greenhouse hoping to spot whatever if was before it could get a jump on his team. Whatever it was he hoped it would not cause too much damage to the room before he had a chance to grow some berries.

As the group stood around soon to be bored out of their wits around the honey slathered tree something finally caught a whiff of the sweet substance. Its curiosity drew it nearer. It was difficult to track through all the trees that concealed the entrance of the underground base, the base well concealed by the nature surrounding, but eventually a tiny white head popped out of a bush. Proportionally large black eyes stared at the group now unveiled by breaking through the foliage, blinking a few times as it considered. Should it get closer?

The wild pokémon looked to the alluring tree with a renewed interest. Surely they were all here for the same thing: that tree. Right? The pokémon blinked again then steeled itself as best as it could considering how little it was. It was tough. Or so it thought. Surely it could handle anything these guys wanted to throw at it if they were the jealous and unsharing types.

Tynamo broke from the cover of the bushes and made its way closer, swimming through the air. It made no aggressive moves as it tentatively approached the honey tree; eying March and the other pokémon around.

[Marchbaby]

Marchbaby could hardly believe his eyes as the Tynamo appeared in front of the Honey Tree. He had no reason to believe the housing commission lied to him when they offered him the tree but boy was it paying off already. He had managed to fish out a Tynamo in Goldenrod during a swarm but he could always use a breeding partner for the one he had and it was a pretty cute Pokemon that only increased his desire to capture it while he had the chance as he doubted another would come near the tree any time soon given how rare they were in Johto. His main problem was deciding on which Pokemon to use as it was a far higher level than Vör but he did have a Repeat Ball.

" I would have never dreamed a Tynamo would be the first Pokemon this Honey Tree would attract but that is a fantastic stroke of good fortune. If we capture it we might just get our monies worth out of just this one encounter. It is a really high level one Vör so I am not sure if you will be able to handle it after the first round but thanks to it's small size and rather low power you should be able to take a single hit if it fails." He said as the young Lucario stepped forward with the Lucky Egg in her paws, she knew if things went their way she would gain a huge amount of levels from this battle and they would gain a useful partner given the small number of electric types anywhere near Marchbaby's estate.

As Marchbaby looked over at the eel Pokemon he smiled thinking about all the useful ways he could use a second Tynamo and he just had to try and plea with it to join his team. " My dear little Tynamo, you seem to be quite curious about my Honey Tree but I can offer you far more than just a sweet treat if you come with me. I have a Tynamo friend you could be with and I can help you become far more powerful. I know you are pretty powerful for a wild Pokemon as it is but with me as your trainer I can make you become a true force of nature. Would you like to come along with us?" He asked as he took out his Repeat Ball and got ready to toss it hoping for good luck.


OOC: Sending out Vör but instead of attacking Marchbaby tosses his final Repeat Ball. Updating the ball myself. Noting that as he has captured a Tynamo already so the Repeat Ball gets its bonus capture rate.

Every time the trainer spoke the flying eel paused a second, listening, then continued forward at a slower pace. Though, once it heard its name that put it right to an absolute stop. It blinked and stared up at March, only glancing a moment to the lucario standing beside. The jackal had moved to a more protective spot but overall didn't seem to be openly engaging in a battle. Tynamo could respect the caution. After all, that was exactly what it was doing.

Listening through the wild pokémon was given an intriguing offer. Something more than a sweet treat? Was that what was on the tree? But there was more interesting tidbits to March's proposal than just that. A spark of excitement visibly crackled down its body when it heard that this human had a tynamo friend. It made the electric type relax a bit more around this man. No wonder he and his team seemed so calm by its approach they were familiar with its type already. Tynamo's fancy was tickled.

Did it really want to go with them though? It wasn't really doing much out here besides adventuring and it did get lonely... but to be tied to this group on the whim of a trainer? The eel pokémon wriggled back and forth a couple times as it considered the pros and cons. Nothing around here was able to bother it much; everything stayed away cause of its power. But this man, this trainer, he understood it already -- and had a like friend!

The tynamo squeaked happily, sparking lightly, then waited. Marchbaby threw the repeat ball in the air. The eel looked at it with a bit of awe noting that it wasn't the plain old pokéball. That somehow reassured it in its decision. The device gobbled up Tynamo's form and dropped to the ground with a padded thud. It wriggled once then clicked.

As the Tynamo disappeared into the Repeat Ball Marchbaby held his breath as the ball started to shake only to hear the familiar click right afterwards as he breathed a huge sigh of relief. Given the level of the Tynamo had was not sure the electric type would take him up on his offer but he was thrilled to know it decided to come along with him. Upon inspecting his new partner he determined it was a male Tynamo which was wonderful news as the one he currently had was female and he had no doubt the two would become good friends once he had a chance to introduce them. In the mean time however it was Vör who really celebrated as her level skyrocketed thanks to the lucky capture.

" My word my energy just spiked there, that Tynamo really was a strong one after all. If we get lucky a few more times like this I should be ready for the next gym leader in no time. If the little guy is that strong now I can only imagine how tough he will get with our help. He certainly would make a fantastic guardian of this estate while you are away if nothing else." Vör said as Marchbaby nodded believing that might just be a good idea once the electric type got a bit more training. Before any of that however he had to come up with a name for their new pal as a Tynamo of his level certainly deserved a good nickname as a symbol of his status.

As Marchbaby thought it over for a few minutes a nickname finally popped into his head. " I've got it, how about Volt as you showed up as quick as lightning to my honey tree? I do think that would be a good fit for you. With that decided I do believe it is time to head out for now as I do not have any more honey but as soon as I get more I will have to return. This tree might just turn out to be a gold mine at this rate." As he finished his sentence Vör and him made their way out of the compound after making a brief stop in Marchbaby's Quarter's to deposit Volt for the time being. With that out of the way he had to get back to training Vör so he could take on the next gym leader as soon as he possibly could.
