Lila has a small frame and is average in height. She doesn't eat junk food so that she can maintain her health, and runs as her only form of exercise. She keeps her hair short so that it is easier to manage. Her eyes are a light blue, matching the water that surrounds her hometown, Pacifidlog. Although she does spend time running, most of her time is spent inside, keeping her skin light and fair. She has the soft hands of a scholar, as she spends much of her time reading about pokemon battling theories and tactics.
Lila often wears a green and white jacket and a white scarf. Underneath is a white shirt and green pants, to match her jacket. She prefers running shoes, since she finds them the most comfortable and efficient. When she isn't wearing this outfit, Lila is likely in active wear. Generally speaking she prefers clothes that are formfitting so that her clothes don't get in the way while she is performing any of her daily activities. She has been known to occasionally don a swimsuit and do a few laps in the surrounding waters, but prefers to do this when there is no one around to observe her.

Lila is a generally kind person to everyone she meets. She finds that being nice to people usually opens more doors. Her passion is pokemon battling, as she is an aspiring gym leader. She will always talk to someone if she thinks it will help her increase her knowledge about pokemon battling. Her aspirations are so strong that she often forgets other things if she was preoccupied with learning to new tactic. Most of Lila's free time is spent researching for battles, so she hasn't learned much else about pokemon, like breeding or coordination for contests.
Outside of her interest to become a gym leader her hobbies include running and helping her parents with their business. Her parents operate a small restaurant and she often helps both by being a hostess and helping cook. Being on the ocean they get a lot of seafood, so Lila has become adept at handling and preparing seafood dishes. Her kind personality help her interact with the customers, where she tries to listen for any helpful advice or tips regarding her passion for battling. Usually, much of her time is spent researching, and this usually happens alone. Although her research is a solo effort most of the time, she actually prefers having some company. She prefers to be with a small group of friends, enjoying each other's company.

Lila was born and raised in Pacifidlog Town. During the early years of her life she spent a lot of her time at home with her mother, when she wasn’t out playing with the other children of the town. The time spent with her mother was usually filled with learning to cook and help out with the small business her mother ran. During this time her father traveled for his job, which she was told was some sort of business asset acquisition job. Lila’s father would leave for a few weeks at a time before returning, always bringing stories of grand pokemon battles he had witnessed during his trip. Lila's favorite stories were those involving trainers challenging Gym Leaders. She thought the strength of the Gym Leaders was amazing, to be able to battle all kinds of trainers that traveled from around the world. The stories her father would tell were the spark that ignited her passion for battles. Life continued like this for some time, until a night that Lila hardly remembers.
One night, when Lila was 7 years old, a couple came to her home while her father was away. Lila’s mother called out, asking who they were and why they had come at such a late hour. The couple claimed they were business associates of Lila’s father and were there to pick up some documents. Before being given a chance to respond the door was knocked inward, breaking off at the hinges. Lila’s mother rushed over to her, placing herself between Lila and the couple. Their clothes were dark sported a large ‘R’ across the front. Next to the couple stood two pokemon, a Houndoom and an Exploud, bearing down upon Lila and her mother. The man began going through their possessions with the Exploud in tow, while the woman stood near Lila and her mother, the Houndoom glaring at them. While the man searched the woman grew impatient. She said something to the Houndoom and it let out a small stream of flame, lighting the nearby curtains on fire. The fire started to spread as the couple continued to pressure Lila’s mother for information, seemingly unable to find what they were looking for. The fire spread quickly and the smoke was making it hard for Lila to breathe. As her vision started to blur and her consciousness began to fade she remembers seeing another figure appear in the doorway, also wearing an outfit embroidered with a large ‘R’ on the front. Flanking that figure was a very large figure that took up the rest of the doorway. They were shouting something but Lila blacked out.
When Lila awoke it was the next day. She was in a soft bed and her mother was sitting next to her. Her mother pulled her in close and asked how she was feeling. After taking some time to make sure everything was okay Lila’s mother took her to what remained of their house. The house was a burnt husk of its former form. Sifting through the remains Lila saw her father. She ran over to him and grasped him tightly, telling him about how afraid she had been. With tears in his eyes he told her how sorry he was that this had happened and promised it would never happen again. With the help of other townsfolk they rebuilt their home and from that day forward her father never went out of town on business again. Lila’s father helped her mother and they opened a restaurant. Lila’s father also started training her on how to pokemon battle. She practiced with her father’s pokemon so that she had some idea of how to apply the theories practically. Lila was very studious and when the day finally came for her to start her pokemon journey she eagerly kissed her parents goodbye and set out toward New Bark Town.
