After finishing Salandit's training, Venom had once again set foot onto route 29. Given that this was his third trip to this route since starting his journey through Johto, he already had a pretty good lay of the land. Therefore, he had a pretty good idea of where his destination was located by now. As his own little piece of Alola, Salandit, slept soundly on his right shoulder, Venom decided to pass the time by humming one of his favorite songs. It was a song by the Poison type gym leader of the Unova region, Roxie. It didn't take a professor to figure out what got Venom so hooked on her music in the first place.
In between lyrics, the ninja reached into his bag, and pulled out his all time favorite snack, feeling kind of hungry after watching his Pokémon eat two rounds of birthday cake in a row. What Venom pulled out of his bag was a smaller bag, filled with Mago Berry flavored mochi. The Poison type trainer opened up the bag, then popped one of them into his mouth. Venom got a big smile on his face as he chewed the very sticky treat, clearly enjoying the taste of it very much, as he continued to hum Roxie's song in between bites. Thankfully, being that she was such a heavy sleeper, Salandit wasn't bothered by any of this in the slightest, showing so signs of awakening from her slumber. Even with his treats and tunes, Venom hadn't forgotten why he was here, and continued to walk through route 29, searching some of the areas that were newer to him in hopes of finally locating the Alolan trial he'd been anxiously looking forward to taking part in.

A little further along the half beaten path winding through the thinly wooded section of route 29 a colorful striping would come into view. Some sort of overhang it appeared, though the rest was beginning to be obscured by a faint wisp of fog rolling into the area. Being that the town was solidly behind him at this point there was no mistake that this was a structure of intrigue. Soon his curiosity would be rewarded with clear sounds of laughter and chatter from an elderly couple. They were relaxing under the protection of their camper's awning as if it was a beautiful summer's day. Oversized floral shirts pulled over a warmer sweater they lounged by a burner bubbling hot water as they sipped back their current hot refreshments. It took them a little bit to notice the approach of the ninja. "Maui!" the elderly gentlemen gasped, sitting up and placing his drink on the small table between them. "We have company." The pair looked at Venom with bright smiles. "Hello there young man, don't be shy, would you like some hot chocolate?" the woman greeted, waving for the trainer to come closer. "Would you look at that dear, he has a piece of home on his shoulder," the man observed with a chuckle. Maui looked up from grabbing a spare recyclable cup from a near bag. "Oh my, a Salandit. They can be a tricky one, best take care of that tail."Once the cocoa was poured they offered it to Venom and introduced themselves. "Where are our manners? My name's Kaui and my wife is Maui," the older gentleman began following up with an indication toward the perched lizard. "We're originally from Alola, just like your friend there. The idea was to retire here but, well, we'd be bored out of our minds if we just sat around all day.""So, we've actually organized a way to bring a bit of Alola here to Johto! Seeing all the young trainers exploring around reminded us of home so what better way to spread some of our region traditions than share them with you." Maui smiled broadly and clapped her hands. "Think you'd be interested in undertaking an Alolan Trial young lad?""You'd only be allowed to bring 3 pokémon in with you, so if you say yes we can keep the rest of your party here all nice and cozy."Maui and Kaui offered Venom a chance to undertake an Alolan Trial Please choose up to 3 pokémon that will participate, then they will begin

As he ventured further and further down this path, Venom started to notice all these things that seemed rather out of the ordinary. The fog made it a little hard to see, so he moved closer to one of them, and examined it more closely. Upon closer inspection, Venom quickly deduced that it was not found or made anywhere in Kanto or Johto. This was a good sign for him, as he turned back to the path, put his bag of mochi away, and picked up the pace a bit. As soon as Venom heard the laughter and voices of some new people, his pace slowed once again, as he made his way onto their campsite, a little surprised to see something like this in such a location. Still, his attention was quickly recaptured by the elderly couple that had noticed him.
The Poison type trainer turned to the elderly folks, and listened to what they had to say. "Oh. Well, sure. Since you offered." He thought it'd be rude to turn them down, as he accepted the hot chocolate from the elderly women, and took a small sip from it. All the while, Salandit was still sound asleep on his shoulder, and once these two had recognized her, Venom knew he was in the right place. The ninja then listened to their introduction, and gave them a bow, careful not to let Salandit fall off his shoulder though. "Its a pleasure to meet you. My name is Venominon Ouroboros, but please, just call me Venom. Im a Pokémon trainer, and a ninja from Fuchsia City. Ive come seeking a trial from the Alola region, and it looks like Ive finally found it. And please, don't worry about Salandit. She just hatched from her egg very recently, so when she's not battling, she sleeps mostly."
Venom was starting to get excited, getting a rather toothy grin across his face, as he listened to them offer him the chance to take part in said trial. "Of course Im interested. I have been ever since I heard this trial was here. Ive heard about Z moves, and how powerful they are. You see, Im aiming to become the world's greatest Poison type trainer, and show everyone that Poison type Pokémon are the strongest Pokémon in the world. To that end, I lead of team of Poison type Pokémon, called Team Toxic, and having a Poison type Z move will aid us in our quest a great deal, as Im sure you can imagine." The purple haired trainer explained to them, then listened again as Maui explained that he could only use three Pokémon.
After taking a few moments to consider his options, Venom made his three choices, then reached into his bag to grab the poke balls of the two Pokémon he'd chosen not to bring along. "Come out now!" The ninja yelled out, tossing them both into the air, as the Pokémon emerged from them a second later. Appearing before the couple was Venom's Arbok and Golbat. "Arbok!" Arbok gave them a hiss as a greeting, while Golbat flapped his wings, staying air born next to Arbok. "Bat! Bat!" Both Pokémon then turned to their trainer when he spoke to them. "Im sorry you two, but we made it to the Alolan trail, and I can only bring three Pokémon with me. Ive decided to go with Ivysaur, Salandit, and Venipede. So I want you two to stay here, and be on your best behavior, okay?"
Both Poison type Pokémon understood their trainer's orders, as Golbat flew to a nearby shady tree, folded up his wings, and started hanging upside down from it, making himself comfortable. Arbok was a little disappointed Venom didn't choose her, and that she'd be apart from him for a while, but she didn't object, and coiled up beneath the tree Golbat was hanging from. Venom smiled at his two Pokémon, and gave Arbok a gentle rub on top of her head, which did well to make the cobra Pokémon blush, before he turned back to the elderly couple, and handed them Arbok and Golbat's poke ball and dusk ball. "Please take good care of them until I get back. Ive decided to go with my Ivysaur, Salandit, and Venipede for this trial." Venom told them with confidence in his voice, then awaited further instructions.

As Venom made his choices for the trial Kaui assured the young trainer the rest of his Pokemon would be kept safe. " We will make sure your Pokemon stay safe, now it is time for you to begin the trial. Maui will give you the rundown on how to complete the trial now that you have selected your 3 Pokemon." He said as his wife started to speak. " This trial's objective will be to hunt down a Pokemon known as a totem Pokemon, they are larger in size than most of their fellow species and most of them have increased stats as well. Being an introductory trial the first totem Pokemon has no bonus stats but it should still give you a nice challenge." She said as she started to walk Venom towards the first leg of the trial. " The Totem Pokemon in this trial is not native to this region but the region it is from has a deep connection to Johto. In their native region the first form of this particular totem Pokemon is known for its teeth and living near bodies of water. In this first part of the trial the first form of the totem Pokemon is awaiting a challenge from you. Be careful however as 3 of the paths will not take you where you would need to go next." Maui said as four Pokemon could be seen in the distance. Maui then identified each of the Pokemon so Venom could make his choice. " First up is Rattata on the far left, the path next to that one is Spearow, the third path seems to have Bidoof, and finally on the far right there is a Taillow. Of those 4 Pokemon which one would you like to follow based off of my clues?" She asked waiting for Venom to make his choice. Will Venom follow Rattata, Spearow, Bidoof, or Taillow?

Even though he'd just met this couple, he felt assured that his Arbok and Golbat would be safe with them until this trail was complete. So the ninja gave the couple a bow of gratitude, then proceeded to follow the elderly woman down the path, listening to the instructions for the trial. Venom had heard rumors about totem Pokémon before, but he'd never actually seen or battled one himself. Naturally, the thought of getting to do both only added to his already heightened excitement. The Poison type trainer figured the totem Pokémon for this trial wouldn't be native to Johto, but as he continued to listen to Maui's clues, he began to wonder what Pokémon he would be facing in the near future. Having heard her clues, Venom stopped when she did, and proceeded to give each of the four wild Pokémon a once over, trying to narrow down his choices.
The serpent loving trainer narrowed his eyes on each of them, mentally repeating Maui's clues in his head. He ruled out the Spearow and Taillow fairly quickly, since neither of them were known for their teeth. This left Venom with two choices, but between the two of them, it was rather obvious to the ninja. Even though he wasn't native to Johto himself, he knew from his studies that Rattata was common in both Kanto and Johto alike, and this rat Pokémon preferred living in tall grass and forests rather then close to bodies of water. This left Venom with on choice, the one that he was sure was the right one. Locking his gaze on the Bidoof, Venom gave Salandit a nudge, waking her up from her slumber.
"Salandit, its time to wake up." Feeling his nudge, and hearing his voice, the toxic lizard Pokémon's eyes fluttered open, and she let out a yawn. "Salaaaaa…" Once her vision had come into focus, she looked over at the wild Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, figuring that it was the reason her trainer had awakened her. "Sala?" Venom gave his Pokémon a nod, and took a few steps down the path that lead to the wild Bidoof. "That's right Salandit. Our trial has begun, and this Bidoof is our first opponent. Im eager to see this totem Pokémon with my own eyes, so lets try to wrap this up quickly. Your new move should do the trick. Salandit, Dragon Rage!" Having received her orders, the Poison/Fire type sprung into action, jumping off Venom's shoulder, and staring down her opponent. "Sala! Salandit!" Salandit built up the energy inside of herself, then release a huge stream of blue colored flames from her mouth, aimed right at the wild Bidoof.

All four of the wild pokémon looked a little antsy even at a distance, each watching the visitors warily. The atmosphere thickened once the sleeping lizard was woken by the ninja. Where once was a light haze of fog now seemed to be a thick layer of moisture wicking the snow covered ground. "Good luck!" Maui cheered from behind, "When you've completed the trial just come on back this way." Giving a quiet clap she watched for another moment before turning around and leaving Venom to his own devices. Once it was clear that Venom was coming after it specifically the Bidoof nattered fiercely in an attempt to deter the boy. It didn't work; obviously. The beaver pokémon huffed, putting on its game face as the dark skinned lizard hopped down to face it. The ground was slick. It'd make movement faster if the bidoof could just get going. But before the normal type could even decide on a first move Salandit's maw was already rolling with fire. The blue fire erupted from her like a crackling whip. Aptly named the raging flames easily engulfed the figure of the surprised wild pokémon. Just a squeak ripped through the air half a second before the snap of Salandit's attack gobbled up all other sound for a brief moment. Once it was over there was a well charred bidoof standing there. It coughed. A wisp of hot vapor smoking into the frosty atmosphere before dissipating beyond the visual spectrum. Bidoof blinked and wobbled, slowly turning around as it willed every ounce of strength it had to its legs. No doubt everyone watching was expecting the little bucktoothed pokémon to topple over defeated. It was unmistakably at the edge of consciousness but the little guy willed on. Soon it was picking up speed and wailing for help, running north. Slipping through the banks of snow it left a nice trail through the snow for Venom to follow. Venom was quick to notice the change in weather, but it made little difference to him. He was here to complete this trail, and that's exactly what he was gonna do. Once he heard Maui's voice, he glanced at her again and watched her walk off. "Very well. Thank you for everything ma'am. I can handle it from here." The ninja said to the elderly woman before she was out of earshot, sounding very sure of himself. He then turned his attention back to the battle, if one could even call it a battle. With how quickly Salandit had beaten her opponent, it was more like a one sided slaughter.
However, Venom and Salandit were a little surprised when the wild Bidoof didn't simply fall to the ground after being beaten. As soon as the Normal type had turned and ran off deeper into the forest, Venom was quick to run after it. "Hold on! We cant let it escape Salandit!" The Poison type trainer ran as fast as he could, following the beaver Pokémon's trail, as Salandit jumped up onto his shoulder when he ran passed her. "Salandit!" Unlike the aftermath of every battle she'd been in up to this point, the toxic lizard Pokémon didn't fall asleep this time. In fact, she was wide awake, showing almost the same level of enthusiasm and determination in this trial as her trainer had. The two continued to follow Bidoof's trail, doing their best not to lose sight of it, and wondering where exactly this wild Pokémon would lead them.
OOC: Im well aware of the lack of obedience Ill likely see from Venom's Pokémon moving forward. Small price to pay. Its gonna take a lot more then that to stop Venom. Thanks for the heads up though.

Despite all its injuries from the devastating breath weapon of the little bandit lizard Bidoof was making great time. Its tiny head start was just enough to keep it out of sight as it ran quick as its stumpy legs could carry it. Luckily it wasn't a quiet beast. The wild pokémon led the ninja further into the more rocky terrain of route 29. Practically on the verge of the checkpoint to route 46. It was getting harder to follow directly. With the ground becoming even more solid than the frozen earth earlier tracks were reduced to nothing. The brush was giving way to more open rocky terrain and a wind had picked up. Nothing harsh by any means but it carried the chill of the season. And some other things. Venom would be left standing at a rocky pass split six ways if one was to include the way he came from. Noises echoed all around him of the wildlife bustling about. But the sounds were stronger at the foot of each pathway. Approaching any of them and listening very carefully the keen ears of the trained stealth artist would be able to pick up on the following: Western Path: Northwestern Path: North Path: Northeastern Path: Eastern Path: Follow Bidoof's calls! Which path will Venom go down? (( No worries! Was more just a reminder for any other mods since it's a new feature, easily forgotten ^^ Probably won't affect Salandit much really ))

As he continued to chase after the wild Bidoof, Venom was surprised that it still had this much stamina, especially after being defeated in a single blow. Never the less, the ninja continued to chase after it, refusing to let the rocky terrain slow him down. Thanks to all his time in the Kanto safari zone, he'd gotten used to travelling across all different kinds of terrains. Additionally, thanks to his studies, Venom knew what was up ahead. This made the Poison type trainer grit his teeth in slight frustration, as he knew his Pokémon weren't strong enough to battle the wild Pokémon of route 46 yet. So he hoped the beaver Pokémon wouldn't go much further, and continued to follow it down the rocky path.
However, Venom's pace had slowed to a stop when he'd seen that the path had slip into five smaller paths. Both Venom and Salandit looked over each path, not sure which one their foe had travelled down at first. "Sala?" Salandit questioned her trainer, wondering if his ninja training would be able to help them figure this out quickly. Fortunately for the two of them, the purple haired trainer gave his Pokémon a nod. "Of course Salandit. There are a number of ways to track a wild Pokémon in this situation. We'll use sound." Venom explained to her, then quieted down, as he approached each path and listened for any wild Pokémon hiding further down them. Venom recognized the calls of each Pokémon down each of the paths, but the call he'd heard down the eastern path was the one that captured his attention. "Found you." He said with a grin, then proceeded down the eastern path, knowing that he'd made the right choice with this one.
OOC: I know, its cool. Thanks for it. Any and all help or advice is greatly appreciated. Venom will be taking the eastern path by the way.

With Venominon and his Salandit following the Eastern Path, and his knowledge of the sounds of the Pokemon would prove to be correct. As the pair followed down the path, they would eventually find the cries of the Bidoof would take them to a large den inside the side of the mountain. It was a decent size, definitely big enough for a large Pokemon to fit through. Deep inside, the cries of the run-away Bidoof can be heard, but also the cry of a larger Pokemon can be heard as well. Upon travelling inside the large den, Venom would find that the lighting from the sun seemed to illuminate the den well. It wasn't too deep. Upon walking in, the noise of the Pokemon inside the den would come to a halt, as they heard him and his poison-type companion enter. In the middle of the den, there stood a pedestal with the amulet placed on top. Exactly what the pair had come for. But a much bigger beaver Pokemon than the two had faced earlier would show itself in front of the pedestal, ready to defend the amulet by fighting. "Bib- ibarel!" The Bibarel's tail wagged like a dog's tail, excited to face the challenge. It was time for the final battle of the trial. The finale. Bibarel (level 12) is prepared to defend the trial amulet by fighting Venom and his Salandit off! Will Venom accept the challenge?

Venom knew that he was on the right track, and continued to pursue the small beaver Pokémon all the way into the mountain cave. As soon as the trainer and his Salandit had entered, the two took a moment to take it in, admiring the way the sun shone even inside the cave. "Sala. Salandit." The toxic lizard Pokémon commented on the scenery, and Venom nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Id say so. Now lets look around. What we came for has to be here somewhere." The two started their search inside the cave, careful not to damage it or mess it up at all, knowing that a good number of wild Pokémon likely lived inside of it. Fortunately, they didn't have to look around for very long, as Salandit pointed out the pedestal to her trainer, her eyes drawn to the shinning amulet placed on it. "Sala! Sala!"
The ninja quickly turned his gaze in the direction his Pokémon had pointed out for him, and smiled at what he saw there. "We found it. Good job Salandit." Venom then started to run over to the pedestal to claim his prize, but slowed to a stop upon hearing the voice of a much larger Pokémon then the Bidoof from earlier. His smile disappeared, and the Poison type trainer narrowed his gaze, preparing himself for another battle. Both he and Salandit were surprised when the wild Bibarel appeared on the pedestal as well, as it already looked ready for battle itself. Venom wondered if this was perhaps the totem Pokémon for this trial, which he knew the Alola region was well known for. Regardless, he also knew that this beaver Pokémon wouldn't step aside and let Venom just take the amulet without a fight.
"I should've known. There's no way this trial would be that easy. Think you can handle this one Salandit?" Venom asked his Poison/Fire type partner, knowing that she was at a disadvantage against a Water type like Bibarel. "Salandit. Sala." Never the less, Salandit jumped right off of her master's shoulder, and glared up at the wild Water/Normal type, wanting more then anything to win and get Venom that amulet. Venom smiled down at his Pokémon upon seeing this, happy to see her so eager to help him complete this trial. Still, on top of her type disadvantage, Venom knew that at her level, there was a chance she'd disobey his orders during this battle. The ninja was more then willing to put his faith in Salandit, but was relieved he had Ivysaur and Venipede waiting in the wings just in case. "Alright, thanks Salandit. Since your sure, lets try to finish this up quickly! Give Bibarel a double dose of your Dragon Rage!" Venom was hoping to finish this battle in the same manner was their last, as Salandit started to build up the same blue flames in her mouth as before, hoping that she would obey his commands.

Having been decimated in battle by Venom and his Salandit, the young Bidoof resorted to comfort and safety in the form of Bibarel. This particular Bibarel just so happened to be the totem pokemon for New Bark Town's Alolan Trial that had been established by Maui and Kaui. Bidoof had not stood much of a chance against Venom's Salandit, they hybrid fire and poison type pokemon made quick work of the plump mouse pokemon. After tasting such a convincing defeat the young and inexperienced Bidoof filled in his comrade with the details of what had just occurred, the expressions that it was displaying showed that it had clearly still not fully recovered from the toxic lizard pokemon's attack.
Bibarel stood firmly in front of the well, he was not going to allow this human and his partner to retrieve the trial amulet without earning it. Bibarel's gaze upon Salandit could not be wavered, it was clearly all business. Venom had ordered Salandit to utilise it's Dragon Rage attack, the exact same move that had made quick work out of Bidoof. The level advantage that Venom's Salandit had over Bibarel gave her the speed advantage, it was likely she was going to need any sort of advantage she could get to defeat a strong adversary that held a typing advantage over her.
Salandit acted swiftly as the blue fire of her Dragon Rage attack erupted from her, much like the Bidoof had experienced earlier, the raging flames engulfed the large figure of Bibarel, the beaver pokemon looked shaken up from the pain that the attack had inflicted upon him. Bibarel had to muster every inkling of strength left in his body to retaliate as he released a stream of water from his mouth that hurled towards Salandit. The water type move hit the mark as it connected with the toxic lizard pokemon directly in the face and clearly looked to have hurt, not so much as the fierce Dragon Rage attack however.
After attacking each other once so far in the battle, both pokemon already had apparent damage inflicted to them, that however was not going to dim their fighting spirit. Venom's Salandit, slightly slower than she had done so before, released her dragon rage attack upon the totem pokemon. Bibarel's gaze had wavered as he struggled to stand balanced on the spot, this trainer and his partner were a strong duo to say the very least. The blue raging flames that erupted from Salandit connected with the totem pokemon's large frame as the beaver pokemon's facial expression looked like one of distraught as he collapsed to the ground unable to keep himself standing upright any longer, the pain inflicted upon him was too much to bare.

During the battle, Venom kept his teeth gritted, and his eyes on his poisonous partner, hoping that both of her attacks would work. After they did, Venom's expression changed into one of surprise, as he took a moment to absorb everything he'd just witnessed. It took him about ten seconds, but after it finally sunk in, Venom got a big smile on his face. "We won! Alright!" The ninja threw his fist in the air, very pleased with this outcome. Hearing the joy in her trainer's voice, Salandit turned back to him, a smile present on her face as well. "Sala! Sala!" The toxic lizard Pokémon ran right back over to Venom, jumped onto his shoulder, and nuzzled her face against his cheek.
Venom responded to this by giving her a gentle rub on top of her head, as a way of congratulating her for all of her hard work in this trial, even if both battles were short ones. "Great job Salandit. You did it all by yourself. Im very proud of you." Salandit was overjoyed to receive such praise, and was very happy with herself as well. "Salandit." The ninja was also very happy to learn that Salandit had learned another new move as a result of their victory against the totem Pokémon, as he pulled out his pokedex to check after he'd stopped petting Salandit's head. "Smog huh? Nice! That'll come in very handy as we move forward." Venom said to the small Poison/Fire type, as she blew a small cloud of Smog right into his face in a rather playful manner. Most people would've gagged, coughed, and tried to blow it away, but not Venom. Instead, Venom took a nice, long inhale, not at all bothered by the toxic cloud that was currently covering most of his head.
Given all of his hands on experience dealing with all kinds of different Poison type Pokémon over the years, Venom had developed a strong immunity to poisons and venoms of all kinds. He had absolutely no qualms about breathing in their toxic fumes, being bitten or stung by their venomous fangs or stingers, or even getting drenched by a misfired Toxic attack, which had happened to him once during his training with Koga and Janine. In any event, once Salandit's Smog had finally faded away, Venom turned his attention back to the trail amulet, which was now completely unguarded. The Poison type trainer walked right up to the pedestal is laid on, grabbed it in his hand, then took a moment to admire the shinning amulet in his grip. "We've completed the trail Salandit. The trail amulet is ours." Venom declared, before putting the amulet into his bag, as Salandit smiled and nodded in complete agreement. "Sala. Salandit." With that, there was only one thing left for the pair to do. With that one thing in mind, Venom turned, and started running as fast as he could back to where this trail had started, excited to tell his Arbok and Golbat all about it, and maybe pick up a few pieces of advice from the elderly couple as well.
OOC: I will have Salandit learn Smog, and get rid of Scratch for it. Thanks.

It was abundantly clear that the smile and happiness that was radiating from Venom would not disappear anytime soon, after all he just successfully conquered his first alolan style trial in convincing fashion. Venom was now the proud owner of a Trial Amulet, an item that was certain to be handy for future explorations into the world of alolan style trials. Venom made his way back to the elderly couple, Kaui and Maui, the pair had been taking care of Venom's Arbok and Golbat whilst they waited for the young ninja to return from his short adventure.
Kaui and Maui both had smiles on their faces as they recognised the familiar site of Venom, they hadn't originally been anticipating that the young man would conquer the trial with such ease.
"Congratulations young man, that certainly didn't take you very long!"
"Your Arbok and Golbat were a pleasure to care for, you and your team are welcome back here anytime!"
Kaui and Maui bounced off each other's responses, they both had the same train of thought regarding how to respond to young Venom. As Kaui and Maui handed over the pokeballs containing Venom's Arbok and Golbat they observed the Trial Amulet that he was holding. This particular item would be very beneficial and was a suitable reward for successfully completing the first of many alolan trials that were available to be completed throughout the Johto region.
"That there Trial Amulet has some nifty little perks associated with it, albeit it's only the first step of many in an adventure myself and my wife hope you are all to eager to undertake!"
"Yes young man, in future trials the potential rewards can stem from a Z-Ring to numerous typing based z-crystals to be used with this Z-Ring! Additionally you will now be able to encounter wild Alolan pokemon within the Johto region, how exciting is that!"
Kaui and Maui were filled with joy to see a young man such as Venom so pleased with his efforts, it made their journey and establishment within the Johto region all the more worth it.
"If you have any more questions relating to the alolan trials or the amulet and its benefits please don't hesitate to ask young man!"

It didn't take Venom very long to make his way back to the spot where the trial had begun, and upon his return, Arbok and Golbat sensed the presence of their trainer immediately. "Ar! Arbok!" Both Poison type Pokémon slithered and flew right over to their trainer right away, very happy to be reunited with him, even if he wasn't gone for that long. "Bat! Golbat! Bat!" One look at the shinning amulet hanging from his bag, and Arbok and Golbet could tell right away that Venom had passed the trial, much to their joy. Venom was happy to see his Pokémon again, and gave them both some gentle rubs on top of their heads. "Im glad to see both of you too. Thanks you two." The ninja then turned his attention to the elderly couple, and accepted his poke balls back from them, recalling Arbok and Golbat back to them not long after. Venom then gave the couple a bow of thanks, then raised his head, and smiled at them as well.
"Thank you for taking care of my Pokémon. I wasn't sure what to expect from this trial, but Salandit did a great job. It was all thanks to her that we completed it so quickly." Venom's kind words caused Salandit to get a confident grin on her face, clearly very proud of herself. "Salandit." The Poison type trainer then took some time to listen to everything Kaui and Maui had to tell him, and nodded at them once they finished. "Yes, Im aware of what this amulet is capable of. Im also aware that there are other trials set up around Johto. In fact, I heard there was one over in Cherrygrove City right now. Im planning on heading there next. Like I told you when we first met, a Z Ring and some Z crystals would be extremely helpful to me and my Pokémon on our journey."
Venom gave the two seniors his response, then turned in the direction of Cherrygrove City. "If there are Z crystals out there, then Ill find them. With that, and my own goals, Ive got a long road ahead of me. Im not about to just give up and go home though. Not a chance. Thank you both for all your help. I do hope Ill get to see you both again someday, but for now, please wish me luck on my journey. Farewell." Venom said his goodbyes to Kaui and Maui, and Salandit gave them a wave goodbye as well. "Sala! Sala!" With all of that having been said, Venom ran right for the trees, jumped up into the branches, and began his journey back to Cherrygrove City. The ninja had no idea where his next trail would be, or what it held in store for him, but one thing was for sure. At this moment, Venom felt like he could ride this momentum all the way to the end of his journey, no matter how long the road might be.
