Can my team be emptied out to just Strider the Deerling, Mizu the Poliwag, and Saeyoung the Rockruff?
Bang! Bang! The needle's in the red! Learning - that's what Ten had come here for, right? So that's why she was back in New Bark Town, seeking out an older couple. She had overheard a trainer mention an 'Alola Challenge' in the Cherrygrove city Pokemon Center, and she had mentioned it to her boss without thinking about it. And thus she was in New Bark Town. See what it's all about! he had said! Meet some new Pokemon! he'd insisted. And he was her boss, she had gone. After, of course, tracking down and questioning that trainer so she knew what to expect. Which was why she found herself with only three Poke Balls, attached to her belt. She'd let her Pokemon out later, once she knew what to expect. Ten was not a fan of the unexpected, and so she refused to send her Pokemon out into it. It would be hard to miss the elderly couple, what with their eye-catching gate. Maui and Kaui had been getting a number of visitors to their Alola trial lately as new trainers sought the opportunity to experience an Alola tradition. The elderly couple were quite pleased to see so many trainers lately and as Sebastene walked towards them and greeted them with a friendly hello they thought they might just have another challenger for their trial. " Alola, welcome to the Alola Experience, by any chance would you be here to try the trial out for yourself?"[/color] Kaui asked as he noticed the three Pokeball's on Sebastene's belt. Usually he would tell trainers there was a limit to how many Pokemon they could bring but as she already had that issue solved Kaui instead turned to his wife so she could explain the other rules of the trial. " This trial is based off of a tradition we have in the Alola region but with a few small tweaks to keep new trainers on their toes. Your goal is to find and defeat the totem Pokemon at the end of the trial but first you will have to solve a few puzzles to locate it. There is a very useful reward for trainers who manage to complete the challenge that will help you encounter Alola Pokemon here in Johto for completing the trial." As Maui finished going over the rules of the trial she and Kaui both faced Sebastene and Maui asked if she would like to undergo the trial. " So young trainer would you like to try the trial for yourself?" The elderly couple then waited for her response wondering if she would participate or not.

Bang! Bang! The needle's in the red! The male of the pair addressed Ten, and the girl offered them a polite smile, fingers hooking her belt loops as her eyes drifted to the ground. "I am," she agreed, "I heard about it from a trainer in Cherrygrove and thought I'd give it a try for my studies." Her hand came up, fingers running through her shaggy red hair.
Her gaze turned, then, to the woman as she began to explain the trial, and she tilted her head. "A Totem Pokemon? I'm sorry, but I'm unfamiliar with that term. What is that?" Her curiousity piqued at the thought of a reward - an item? - that would allow someone to encounter a certain type, no not a type, a range? would that be the right word? of Pokemon. What could it be? Oh, she oculdn't wait to get her hands on it to study.
The woman asked if she would like to try the trail, and she nodded, "Of course."

Kaui smiled at Ten's insensitive question about the Totem Pokemon. "A Totem Pokemon is a special Pokemon faced at the end of Trials who sources its power from its aura." His wife explained further. " This trial's objective will be to hunt down one of these Totem Pokemon, which are usually larger in size than most of their fellow species with boosted stats as well. Being an introductory trial the first totem Pokemon has no bonus stats but it should still give you a nice challenge." she said as she started to walk Ten towards the first leg of the trial. "As the old saying goes one of these Pokemon does not a summer make but warm meadows are its preferred habitat. It is also an impressive dive-bomber and will never miss a target. Some countries like to make soup out of the nests of these Pokemon! In this first part of the trial the first form of the Totem Pokemon is awaiting a challenge from you. Be careful however as 3 of the paths will not take you where you would need to go next." Maui said as four Pokemon could be seen in the distance. Maui then identified each of the Pokemon so Ten could make her choice. " First up is Ledyba on the far left, the path next to that one is Spearow, the third path seems to have Zigzagoon, and finally on the far right there is a Taillow. Of those 4 Pokemon which one would you like to follow based off of my clues?" She asked waiting for Ten to make her choice.
Will Ten follow Ledyba, Spearow, Zigzagoon, or Taillow?
