Thief In The Night (Dig In Quest)

Rocket Grunt smirked as he evaluated the battle. No way was this little swinub faster than his meowth, plus the swinub looked like it was getting worn down. “Finish that little piggy off, Meowth! Scratch that thing, and then we’ll swipe it from that trainer!” Kyle said, smirking. The swinub tried to strike first, but it wasn’t quite fast enough. It inhaled sharply, about to let loose yet another powder snow, but the meowth pounced on it quickly scratching it, meowing loudly. The swinub recoiled from the scratch, and then collapsed into a furry heap on the ground. “Heh, whose the one making a racket now?!” The rocket shouted proudly, “Keep them busy for just a bit longer meowth! Get ready to bite whatever they send out!” The meowth looked slightly nervous, backing up to protect the door the rocket ran into as he retreated into another room and started frantically searching for the crate of TMs. “As annoying as this kid is, he’s right. We gotta mission to do, and I gotta do it quick!” He grumbled from the other room, as the sounds of pots and pans clanging together rung out from the other room. “Why am I looking in the kitchen... Get it together Kyle!” he shouted to himself.

So that didn't work out. He would have to apologize to Rex later once he recovered. That was unwise to put him in a position like that. Bishop was sure they would both grow from it though. The Rocket fellow though...he wouldn't do much growing from this. He was destined to be behind bars before the night was up.

"Blossom, I choose you," he said, voice cold and measured. Bishop was furious on the inside but didn't let it show as his Pikachu appeared in the room to face off against the weakened Meowth. "Use your Shock Wave attack and clear me a path to that thief."

His Blossom was stronger than the other trainers pokemon by level and also fresh to the fight. He had little doubt she would take Meowth out of the fight so that he could go deliver a little justice up close and personal.

"I'm coming for you Mr. Thief in the night."

Blossom's arrival spelled the end for the Meowth, the single shockwave from the pikachu was more than enough to knock the cat pokemon out. From the other room, the team rocket grunt heard his meowth yowl as it fainted. 

"No! My meowth!" Kyle exclaimed as he ran back into the room. His search in the kitchen had proved... he'd say fruitless but he did find some fruit. He summoned the meowth back into its pokeball and looked furiously at Bishop. "Listen up twerp! I'm gonna make you pay for what ya did to my pokemon."

Kyle rolled up his sleeves and seemed to be ready to charge and throw a punch right at Bishop when the police force finally arrived on scene. 

"Stop right there!" called out a police officer as she entered the room. She quickly moved in and blocked Kyle's momentum by catching his fist as he threw his punch, then in a swift continuous move, she twisted the grunt's arm behind his back and cuffed him. The officer looked to Bishop and flashed him a smile. 

"Thanks for your work here citizen!" she extended a hand for Bishop to shake, at the same time she nodded to the other two officers with her to search the rest of the house for the homeowners. "I don't know whether to tell you you were brave or reckless for coming in without calling for help, but I am certain that you are quite lucky the neighbors across the street called this in for ya.. you're lucky this sap was working on his own too. They usually travel in packs haha." 

The officer passed Kyle along to a third officer to escort out, and continued to congratulate/scold Bishop. "But more seriously, are you and your pokemon okay?" 

After a few moments, the two officers that had left to search the premises returned. They'd found the homeowners tied up in the bedroom. One of the homeowners rushed to thank Bishop for intervening. 

"Thank you, thank you," he bowed repeatedly and then thrust into Bishop's hands a reward-- a Dig TM and  £1500. "This is the least I can give you for kindly stepping in. That thief would have surely escaped if it weren't for you delaying him!"

"Here's something from the IPF too," the lead officer smiled and handed Bishop another stack of pokedollars and an item. " We've got an initiative to promote citizens to take action running currently. This here is a max revive and £500 that we found on the Rocket Grunt's possession. Use it all wisely."

Blossom won the battle and gained 2 levels!

Blossom is level 14 and can learn Electro Ball, would you like to substitute a move for Electro Ball?

"Thank you officer," Bishop said, shaking her hand and blushing a bit at her comment. "I don't know about brave or reckless but I couldn't let him get away with robbing these folks."

He didn't say anymore on the matter but was glad the experience was over and no one was hurt. Accepting the rewards with a smile he excused himself to take his pokemon to the nearest center for treatment. On the way he made a mental note to keep an eye out for Rockets going forward. People up to no good like that had to be watched so that they didn't cause trouble for innocent folks.

(Ooc: Let Blossom forget Thunder Shock and learn Electro Ball. Also, can my Charmander evolve now that she has reached level 16? Thanks!)
