Slivers of the warm and golden sunlight slipped through the small cracks of the towering oak tree. Platinum and her Pokemon sat under it on their picnic blanket as the elegant leaves provided them with great shade and comfort. The medium-sized blades of grass shifting and swaying as the gentle wind blew through the evergreen leaves. Platinum's precious, metallic-hued eyes staring off into the distance watching a trio of energetic Hoppip dancing with the wind. A couple of soft giggles soon escaping from her mouth as she watched one of the Grass/Flying-type Pokemon attempt to become the center of the show. "You know what guys? I think that we really deserved this break right now after training so hard in New Bark Town. Just look at the weather is so beautiful and relaxing! The perfect day to have a picnic!" She stated out loud, turning her attention away from the Hoppip and onto her Pokemon. Her Pokemon let out soft cries and nodded their heads in agreement. "Alright. I think we've rested up enough now It's time for some food!" She smiled picking herself up from the blanket and walking over to retrieve her picnic basket. Monroe and Harlow followed after her, but Brenton decided to passby them all in order to bathe in the warm sunlight. Platinum shook her head at the Ponyta before pulling out a container of fresh berries and then another container of homemade sandwiches. Monroe's eyes widen the second the Piplup noticed the delicious container of berries. Without any self-restraint, Monroe made a quick attempt to swipe one of the berries from the container. "Hey! Not so fast, Monroe! I'm not done setting everything up yet!" Platinum shouted, quickly snatching the container out of Monroe's reach. "Piplup! Piplup!" She whined before sighing and walking away to join Brenton in the warm sun. Platinum and Harlow continued to set everything else up for the nice little picnic, but the duo soon found themselves becoming slightly distracted by an excited cry coming from their small, azure penguin friend. "Monroe, what's going on?" Platinum asked, glancing over into the direction of Monroe and Brenton. The Piplup and Ponyta were staring upward into the clear blue sky in awe. Platinum and Harlow walked from underneath the giant oak tree to get a better view of the scene and within seconds the two of them found themselves staring in awe with Monroe and Brenton. "They're so pretty! I've never seen anything like this in my entire life." She spoke out in a rather loud tone as she watched trainers release their Vivillon. The elegant butterfly-like creatures fluttering around high into the sky without a single care in the world. "But I don't understand...Are their trainers releasing them into the wild?" She questioned under her breath. It was not too much longer before a particular Vivillon with a cute, pink scarf took notice of Platinum and her Pokemon from above. The Vivillon let out a joyous cry before descending down to them. "Eek! This is so cool! I've never actually seen one of you in person before!" She squealed, taking out her Pokedex and aiming it at the fluttering butterfly. "Vivillon. The Scale Pokemon. The patterns on this Pokémon's wings depend on the climate and topography of its habitat. It scatters colorful scales.” "Vivillon, you're so pretty!" She stated between a few soft giggles as she watched the brilliant-colored butterfly dance around her before fluttering over to her set of fresh berries, sandwiches, and Pokemon food. "Ah, I see. You want to join us for lunch, huh? That's fine with us." Platinum smiled, putting her Pokedex away then making her way over towards her picnic blanket with her Pokemon following behind her. "Everything is all set up. So, we can start eating now." She smiled, picking up a berry then handing it over to the Vivillon, who took it without any hesitation. Platinum's Pokemon also did not hold back from digging into their food either. Everyone is enjoying their food so much that they did not seem to notice another traveling trainer and his Pokemon approaching them in the distance.

It was a long haul all the way back to Professor Elm’s Lab. Not a tribulation he mind or dreaded. Hiking everywhere was his only mode of transportation. His Pokémon can’t carry him and he didn’t have a bike to ride. Even if one was a Available, he didn’t know how to ride one. Never got the chance to learn. It wasn’t a terrible lost though. They didn’t have anywhere to be, so there isn’t a rush to get a move on. Why not enjoy the peace and feeling of the green forest? The breeze didn’t have the strength to pull his cloak around, but enough to ruffle it some. His goggles held a tint to them because of the sun, which made them look one way. Yuki looked very out of place. Especially with all the dirt on said cloak.
The journey back wasn’t an easy one. A few wild Pokémon dates to get in their way and paid the price for it. But it wasn’t without trouble. Yuki fell down a few hills, was overwhelmed, and chased around a couple of times. Why didn’t anyone tell him being a trainer was so taxing on him? He checked his wallet and found a good amount of money in there. Enough for food and supplies. His next stop will be the marketplace, so he can stock up for the journey to Violet City. It’s a good day’s walk from their current location. A fact his Bulbasaur hated him for, but only received a hint of apathy for. There isn’t anything wrong with continuing their walk.
The grass growled in anger as the passes by a trainer’s picnic table. She turned to them with a look of envy and hunger. Unable to contain herself, Bulbasaur used her vines to take Platinum’s berries for herself. ”Bulbasaur!” Yuki snatched the basket of berries from her vines and went into a stare down with his starter. After a few moments, he returned them to Platinum. ”Sorry about her.”

Platinum and her Pokemon were just about to start indulging in their delicious lunch when the pretty, indigo-haired female trainer noticed an unexpected vine approach her and snatch the basket of berries from her hand. "Wh-what? Huh? She asked out loud, a panic look being expressed over her fair face, and took a quick glance over her shoulder to notice a Bulbasaur and its trainer standing not too far away from them. "Pip! Pip! Pip!" Monroe cried out, waddling over towards Bulbasaur with her short arms flailing about to help express her anger and frustration regarding Grass/Poison-type Pokemon stealing part of the lunch from them. Brent, Harlow and the Vivillon watched from afar as Monroe moved even closer towards the Bulbasaur, her head against touching the plant-like Pokemon head a bit and stared deeply into its eyes. "Monroe, stand down." Platinum ordered her Pokemon, walking closer towards the two Pokemon and the male trainer. Monroe let out a deep sigh before taking a few steps away from the Bulbasaur. "Oh, umm...Thank you." She stated with a soft smile, retrieving the basket of berries from the other trainer. "Your Bulbasaur caught us a little off guard. No worries! We're all fine. My name is Pl-... Lady by the way." She replied, almost revealing her true name to the stranger until she remembered that she had just met him. "You know...You and your Pokemon could join us for our picnic. We have more than enough food to share." She stated with a smile, extending an invite for the two of them to join them for lunch. She would walk back over to the picnic blanket to join the rest of her Pokemon, Monroe tagging right behind her. Luckily, her Pokemon had managed to calm themselves down and prepared themselves to enjoy a peaceful meal with their trainer and her guests. Christian
