The Spearow was unconscious and defenseless, and when it was picked up by the human to the side of the road, it felt something it had not felt before. The warmth of human touch had gave it something to think about. Maybe the next time it had encountered humans, it would hope to be captured by one of them? The bird stared blankly and thought as its stamina slowly regenerated. As Clavis continued down the road, the clear sky with sunlight was a pleasant atmosphere to be sauntering outdoor. Although, the humidity would make clothes a bit more sticky to the people. For Pokemon on the other hand, it could be uncomfortable depending on their structure. A lone Spinda was walking in a funny way while whining softly to itself. "It's soo... hot. I swear the water puddle was around here last time for me to cool off. Did I miss a turn somewhere?" It jogged its memory of last summer, where it found a cool puddle to sit in to cool off from the heat.
Summer was too hot for (Level 6) Spinda to handle! e4pSn2pL1-42OOC: hey, your last post was much shorter than your usual posts you had done. Please try to write a little more to give mods something to work with. Maybe include the weather? Or how Clavis's Pokemon would feel over the victory? Thanks~ 1-42

The air was getting more humid as time went on: Clavis considered taking off his scarf. As he stopped to take it off, a peculiar Pokémon started walking in his direction. It wandered as if half in a dance and half in a struggle to not fall over. Watching it made Clavis feel lightheaded. He felt that it looked slightly nauseated as well, but was not entirely able to tell. Clavis was unfamiliar with this Pokemon. He, of course, had seen it before, but merely knew it was a normal type and that it was deemed weak by trainers. Looking down at his Bulbasaur, he made a gesture for her to stay as he checked things out. Stepping slowly near, he tried to examine it to understand what was awry. Although, this act alone was born to fall flat- Clavis could hardly be called a Pokemon specialist.

The spinda could simply not stand still, it would need to sit or lay down on that but otherwise it was the natural state of the strange bear, to move around in an erratic pattern which made it difficult for everyone else to guess where it was going next. It was not the greatest thing when it was hot and humid and you most of all just wanted to relax in the shade. The came face to face with Clavis and for a heartbeat it stood still, watching the human as intently as the human watched it. Then it seemed to lose its balance and stumbled a lot to the right, before it swung upright and stumbled a few steps forwards, then back, swinging its arms. It turned around, the human wasn't a puddle and he wasn't acting aggressive so no need to pay him more attention. "Watch out! Stay away!" A young voice shouted and a white thread shot past Clavis face and stuck to the grass. "No! String shot the spinda, not the human!" The voice said resigned and a couple of more string shots came flying and the purpose of spinda's strange wobbly gait got explained as they both missed simply because it never stood still. The voice came from a kid, a bug catcher clearly with his straw hat and his net, and his two worms at his side. "Spindas are dangerous! They are unbi... inpre.. indee.. very hard to guess where's it's going! I'd always be told to stay far away or they might hit you! I'll chase it off for ya!" He offered with a grin, and gestured to his two caterpillars who both advanced on the bear. Said 'dangerous' bear stumbled backwards away from them and managed to get behind Clavis and grabbed hold of his pants. "It's too hot today, and two against one, he can't be real, can he?" The spinda whimpered and looked beggingly up at Clavis, "will you help me? Please?"The two bugs paused and looked back at their trainer, they didn't like to attack while the spinda was so close to Clavis, they might risk hitting the trainer as well and that simply wouldn't do. "Oy, this is hard. I'll get it, don't ya worry!" The kid said and scratched his head, "hey, whadda ya say to a battle later and all? I'm Don!" He added cheerfully and then frowned as he looked at the trouble which was spinda. Clavis had a few options here, he could of course try battle the spinda himself although it would be pretty certain that Don would have patience to wait it out and would run off if it took too long. He could also ignore the spinda clinging to his legs and accept the double battle with the kid right away, or he could team up with the spinda to battle the kid and his bugs. He might even want to try something completely different out. Bug Catcher Don is attempting to chase off the spinda and challenge you to a battle at the same time. He has a Weedle and a Caterpie, both level 3. Weather will be Humid (clear)

Clavis quickly moved away as String Shot narrowly passed over his face. He made a mental note to practice dodging Pokemon attacks later. Grasping the jist of what was happening, Clavis grinned wide, unnaturally so. He recalled, after scaring one of his sister’s friends away, that he was said to have a creepy look. Of course, Clavis was perfectly prepared to battle, as that came with the title of “Pokemon Trainer.” But this didn’t mean he was about to battle a kid half his size and years for just trying to assist. Either way, he let his hand rest on the Pokemon of his recently caught Pidgey. After all, he still had the Spinda clinging to his leg. If it came to it, Clavis preferred Pokemon rather than people, and he was not fearful to make it apparent to others.
(Clavis Cassidy would like to engage in a battle with Pidgey and assist Spinda, if possible.)

The situation confused Don quite a lot and he paused to look at it all frowning. He had wanted to chase the spinda away, but it was clinging to Clavis which made that rather hard, oddly enough he didn't seem freaked out by having it there, nor did he tried to chase it away from him. Why was that so when he had just been informed that it was dangerous. It was also unclear what Clavis was thinking about the whole ordeal about battling, when he said nothing and just smiled creepily. Don fidgeted nervously but he was valiant and brave, he was not going to leave someone in trouble as Clavis might be with the spinda. Beside, wasn't there something about that you couldn't say no to a trainer battle? "I.. So what do ya say?" Don asked after a bit, hoping to get some sort of response, then added "Are ya mute?" That could explain why Clavis didn't say anything, perhaps he too was just nervous and tried to convey his feelings by smiling? The kid facepalmed, "that was stupid, if ya mute ya can't answer. Sorry. Nod if ya mute and nod if ya want a battle," he said with a grin of his own. There, that should solve the problem. Of course there was still the problem with the spinda, and Don had no clues what Clavis plans was as he had made no indication of those, the kid just had to guess. Since Clavis didn't order his pidgey to attack the spinda, it must be because he was terrified of the bear! "Don't ya worry, I'll chase it off without hurting ya. I'm very skilled at that!" He declared reassuringly and began guiding his two worms into place so that they could attack the spinda with as little risk to Clavis as possible. Spinda tugged at the older trainer's trousers worriedly, was the trainer going to help it or not? If not it would have to run and do it fast before it got cornered by the two bugs! "Are you going to help me?" It asked Pidgey nervously, it pushed itself away from Clavis legs and stumbled a few steps forward, trying to keep both bugs in its point of view all the time, and avoiding having them attacking it from both sides. It felt very much alone at that point, fearing it had to face the two on its own. The bugs readied themselves for the fight. Clavis stood, thinking for a moment. Looking down at Spinda, he mused, “Do you have any attacks that would be effective against bug-types? If so, best to use them now.” He strode forward, trying to remember what moves this Pidgey knew. After a moment of thought, “Pidgey, if you would- use Air Cutter on that Caterpie, please.” Clavis hummed the familiar tune that seemed to play at all Pokemon Centers as watched the opposing bug-types. The good warm weather put Clavis in a delighted mood.
(Clavis wishes to use Air Cutter against Caterpie. Also, sorry that I haven't been active for a month. I had family things to take care of.)

The Spinda twirled and thought for a moment, but it was too young and inexperienced to learn such complicated moves against another bug type Pokemon! Instead, it charged and moved forward, hitting the Caterpie with its soft body. The young boy grumbled as the opponent clearly was just talking to his Pokemon! "Fine, if you don't want to talk to me. Caterpie, String Shot the Spinda! It'll be easier if the Spinda isn't moving so fast! Weedle, use Poison Sting on the Pidgey!" He now talked to himself to make the awkwardness less weird. The two bugs immediately followed their orders. The Caterpie inched a little forward, and spat a string shot that wrapped around the Spinda to slow it down, until the bear wiggled itself free. However, the struggle would tire its muscles from moving too fast soon. Then, the Weedle inched then jumped forward at the hopping Pidgey, and struck it with its poisonous horn. The jab reached deep into the avian's skin, and infected the Pidgey as his face looked sickly. However, the Pidgey carried on with his might, and flapped his little wings that sent two slicing air cutters at the bugs' direction. The two bug winced and cried in pain from the strong attack, but they weren't knocked out from a single blow yet. Don spoke up again after the Pokemon exchanged moves. "Now the Spinda is slowed down! Mister if you can just step away then I can chase it off for ya!"Trainer Battle Weather: Humid (Clear) [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Caterpie LV 3 HP 19% [3/16]

Clavis’ smile turned into more of a grimace. He felt bad for the somewhat annoying bird who reminded him of his sister. Pidgey stood strong, but it looked like all it would take is one more blow to take him down with that poison eating him up. He had potions, sure, but that would only aid in keeping him strong- not stopping the poison. Returning his face to normal, he cheered to Pidgey, “You did a great job. Now return.” Holding the Pokeball, he raised his arm, calling Pidgey back. Hooking the ball back to his belt, he threw Gaia’s Pokeball. Clavis was not such a novice that he couldn't understand the type disadvantage between a bug and a grass type, but he was all out of options. He had no more Pokemon, he had to protect Spinda, and he had no Antidotes. Clavis could tell that the kid’s Pokemon weren't as strong as his Bulbasaur and she was definitely healthier than Pidgey. If anything, Clavis hoped he could brute strength this battle. Plus, if he remembered correctly, Gaia was also a poison type. “Gaia, I need you to use tackle. Try to hang in there.”
(Clavis would like to return Pidgey and have Gaia use Tackle in his next attack.)

Don wailed a bit as his bugs were knocked out. "Caterpie! Weedle!" The pidgey had done a number on them and it seemed like this not-mute trainer was actually kinda decent at battling. Maybe. He watched the guy switch out the poisoned pidgey and between it and the spinda's tackles, his poor bugs didn't stand a chance, not even when he tried to slow them down with another string shot. He slumped a bit. Defeated! "I guess you win...but be careful! Spinda as still dangerous!" the kid declared, returning his bugs worriedly, before tossing some lunch money at Clavis. He'd then scamper off, in need of a pokecenter for his injured mons. Once he was gone, that left Clavis with the anxious spinda who had clung to his legs in search of help. Now said panda was wobbling about, watching him curiously. What would the trainer do now? Leave? Battle it? Throw a ball? It didn't seem aggressive, and in fact, made a cheerful wave at him, thankful for the help. The air was clear and quiet. No more random bug catchers barging in to try to chase the spinda away. Clavis caught the money. Looking down at it, he felt almost ashamed that he took some child’s lunch money who could have been only a few years senior to his younger sibling. Letting himself relax again, he pet Gaia on the head, “Good job. Now, it’s time for you to return and rest.” Hitching the Pokeball to his belt, he looked down at the swirling Pokemon. His respect for the Spinda was as great as his surprise that it had aided him in battle. “You’re strong. That is always good when it comes to living out here. I'm glad you are not sick, as I had originally suspected.” Clavis stood, his eyes smiling delightedly, “However, I think you should hurry to wherever it is you're going- before more eight-year-olds mistake themselves for Pokemon Control.” Clavis spun on his heels, running as fast as he could to Cherrygrove City. Pidgey would probably need to see a Pokemon center. He really should have studied before getting a Pokemon.

Thankfully, pidgey would recover in its pokeball as Clavis made his way towards Cherrygrove. Though a quick rest at the pokemon center probably would do everyone good, as who didn't enjoy a nap and a snack after a long day of traveling? As Clavis neared the outskirts of the city, there would be the crinkle of leaves and branches above him. A quick glance up and—oh? A wurmple! It was munching away on leaves. And there was a big, fat berry at the end of one of the branches that it seemed to have its sight set on. After shoving the leaves in its mouth, the little bug inched its merry way towards the berry...but oops! Oh no! The branch was not very stable for the little bug and it began to tremble and bend. Wurmple squeaked in alarm, nubbin legs flailing and floundering as it tried to cling to the branch. Noooooo. Its berry! It didn't wanna lose its tasty! However, it was just not meant to be. Its grip faltered the the wurmple fell. Right on top of Clavis' head unless he managed to scoot out of the way of the falling worm! ooc// If you want to move to cherrygrove, please just make a note of it in an ooc and mark the thread as finished. ^_^ If you don't, mods will assume you want to encounter more stuff on this route!
A LV 4 wurmple appeared suddenly! What will you do?Shiny? JSXUaCMG1-421-42
