Alright, this time for sure! Confetti was safe in her Pokeball and Blossom was at Posie's side and this time they were moving together. Kent's story had made Posie sad and left her feeling introspective. He was so young and so sick and thinking about last wishes. She had to be something like three times his age and she was just now trying to figure out what it was she even liked never mind wanted more than anything else in the world. Was it bad luck to start her journey with the specter of death hanging over her? Or was it lucky that she'd just started and already she'd found something important to do. She doubted she'd ever fulfilled anyone's dying wish keeping the books, after all.
Posie was thinking so deeply as she walked that she didn't notice how thick the mist was becoming until Blossom called out an irritated, "Bulbasaur!" and used one of his vines to keep Posie from stepping off the path and directly into a bush.
"Oh dear, thank you Blossom. I'm afraid I was woolgathering," she said, squinting into the mist. "I think… this way," she said, and began to move hesitantly forward. Blossom followed close behind, conducting his own skeptical assessment of their surroundings.

Autumn was catching up now and the mist was a clear warning of what lay ahead, the few pokemon who hadn't prepared already were frantically trying to gather the last missing pieces they would need to endure the long winter which was quickly approaching by now. Posie, and Blossom would see shadows move in the mist, or fly past but none was close enough to challenge, and frankly, the wild pokemon had better things to do than battle a trainer just to entertain them. The mist made everything look unfamiliar, even to the ones who knew the area really well, and it clung to every surface, so Posie better have some good waterproof shoes on, or she would have soaked and cold feet in no time. A shadow once again moved in the mist, but this time it was much, much bigger than all the others they had seen, and it was moving straight towards them! A girl stepped out of the swirling mist and stopped abruptly and stared shocked at Posie. She was wearing a labcoat which was way too big and a notepad in her hands. "Ahahaaha," she laughed nervously and held a hand on her chest, "you scared me." She froze again as something moved near her in the bushes. A little wurmple had really drawn the short straw in life, it had hatched late in the year and had therefore always been smaller than the other wurmples around. It meant, that it both was pushed away from the best leaves and was the main target from birds so it had had to use a lot of energy to run and be alert, it had managed to survive until now, but now it was in trouble. Winter was coming, and where most of its kin had by now evolved to their cocoon state and had dug down into piles of warm leaves to wait out the cold season to evolve and fly freely next spring. the wurmple was thin, and scarred as it crawled out, it was so hungry and rather desperate, when it saw a huge fresh bulb the hunger got the better of it. It crawled feverishly forward and flung itself at Blossom and bit down on her bulb to try eat it. "Wha..?" the girl said confused and then giggled, "it must really be hungry."She glanced at Posie, and even though this might not be the right time at all, she gathered her courage and stepped closer. "Ehm, you.. you're traveling around here for a bit? Could.. Would you be interested in joining up with me? I.. I'm out here looking to register some pokemon and.. well, its a bit hard wtih the mist and all, would be nice with some company... and help," she asked shyly and fidgeted with her notes. Wurmple [Lv 3] is hungry and cold and tries to eat Blossom. Weather will be MistShiny: 0MUBc7zE1-421-42

"Oh goodness," Posie said at the approach of the looming shadow, one hand raising to press against her chest. The shadow resolved into a girl who had assumed the same pose, and Posie laughed self-consciously. "You scared me too," she admitted. "My name is Posie, and this is Blossom," she said, introducing herself and her Bulbasaur to the lab-coat-wearing girl. The oversized coat made her seem even younger than she probably was, and it made Posie feel immediately protective of her. "Of course you can travel with us," she assured the girl with a small frown as she stepped towards Blossom and the Wurmple mouthing at his bulb. The poor Pokemon must have been starving to try to eat something that could defend itself as fervently as a Bulbasaur.
"Hey, you can't eat him," she said firmly. No amount of pity was going to makethat okay. Blossom himself was growling slightly, and Posie had the feeling that he'd be attacking the little Pokemon any moment. "Here, let's see…" she said, unslinging her bag and rifling through it until she could pull out the sandwich she had packed for lunch, "Why don't you try this," she offered, holding the sandwich out towards the two Pokemon, "It's much better than a Bulbasaur's bulb!"

The wurmple was a little distressed at the two humans trying to get it away from the tasty bulbasaur bulb. This was the most nutritious snack it had ever found after being born so late in the season. Maybe if it nibbled faster, it could at least have a full belly before it was chased off. However, the human started talking about it coming with her? Oh, no, that was directed at the other human. Then offered something that smelled tasty. Not as familiar as the sweetness that the bulbasaur's bulb produced, but interesting all the same. It watched with a hesitance, its skittishness born from its innate wildness, but hunger made it more pliant, and less inclined to attack. Especially since it was so small and weak. It inched towards the sandwich, nubbin legs reaching out. Once it managed to latch on, it began to eat eagerly. FOOD!
Oh, how it loved this food!
This wurmple probably wouldn't resist being caught at all. Not after such a generous offer of food!
"I'm Lily. Nice to meet you." The other girl laughed softly at the wurmple's eager snacking, "It's...almost kinda cute, isn't it? Look how tiny it is." The [LV 3] Wurmple is very hungry...It seems interested. What will you do?
Battle or use a pokeball?
