<Vile creature? How dare you! I am cleaner than you are after your tumble through the crusty snow!> the purple rodent shouted back, aside itself that the Hawlucha would say such a thing. No manners at all! To show the luchador Pokemon just how it felt, it turned its body and faced its butt at the fighting type, waving it back and forth so that its tail would swish from side to side. The hope here was that the opponent would be following its tail and lower its guard, but considering the circumstance, a tactic such as that was probably not well advised. As soon as the rat turned around, it was face to face with the angry Hawlucha and the fighting type punched the rat so hard that it went flying AND chipped its front tooth. Landing hard in the snow, the rat rolled a few times and disappeared under a nearby tree, without getting up and coming back out. Safe to say that this battle was over. Where there is one rat, there are more, so perhaps the trainer and her team would be more vigilant or careful as they continued to make their way forward. Victory! Hawlucha gains 3 levels for the Victory, grows to Level 4. Hawlucha wants to learn Wing Attack, replace a current move?

Upon achieving his very first victory, Hawlucha smiled triumphantly, jumping up into the very tree he knocked the wild Rattata under, and striking another set of heroic poses. "Behold my power! Our foe has been vanquished! Another victory for Team Nightingale! No thanks are necessary, my ladies!" The Fighting/Flying type demonstrated his new and improved abilities by jumping even higher into the air and filling his wings with plenty of energy, causing them to glow in the sunlight. Hawlucha then dived straight down at the tree branch he was just standing on, sliced through it with his Wing Attack, then landed safely back on the ground, striking one more heroic pose as the severed tree branch fell to the ground behind him. Seeing all of this unfold before her eyes, Clem smiled at her Pokemon once more, then clapped her hands together for him as well. "Woo! Nicely done, Hawlucha! I'm very proud of you, my hero!"
Still, as happy as Clementine was with her Pokemon's development, she still felt bad for the wild Rattata, noticing the damage it took from Hawlucha's last attack. So, after calling Hawlucha back to his Pokeball, the Fighting type trainer lost her smile in favor of a more concerned facial expression, and slowly approached the bush that the Normal type had rolled into. "Rattata, if you can hear me, I'm sorry we hurt you. I know it's not much, but please accept this as a token of my apology. I hope you and the rest of your family like them." As she spoke to the probably unconscious Mouse Pokemon, Clem dug through her bag until she found a small box of cookies, placing said box into the bushes for said Mouse Pokemon to find as soon as it woke up. She also focused her aura and channeled some of it into the bush as well, hoping that it would help heal Rattata's injured tooth after what Hawlucha did to it.
Seeing all of this, Riolu placed her left paw in her left hip, then let out another small sigh and shook her head slowly before speaking to her trainer once more. "Your heart may not beat anymore, but it's still as soft as a newborn Igglybuff. Talk about ironic." Upon hearing Riolu's words, Clem got her smile back, turning away from the bush and facing the pure Fighting type, still unaffected by her insults. Even though that wasn't really an insult at all. Although, what the Emanation Pokemon said was true. If one were to listen closely, they'd hear absolutely no heartbeat from Clem whatsoever. "Irony suits me just fine, Riolu. As long as I get to spend more time with the ones I love. You included. Now, c'mon. Let's go get you your first victory." Clem turned again, hiking towards another part of route 29, with Riolu hiking right beside her yet again, thinking that it was also ironic for someone without a heartbeat to talk about things like love.
OOC: I will have Hawlucha learn Wing Attack, forgetting Tackle in its place. Thanks.

As Clementine walked, it was perhaps to be expected that she would see other people on the route. Up ahead was a gaggle of school-aged kids, likely all under the age of ten. There were a couple of boys and a few girls, all in matching uniforms for the local private school located in Cherrygrove. The wind pulled at one of the girl's long hair, as she had not tied it up before leaving the house. Her friends were attempting to help her braid it (badly) so that it stopped getting in her face, while one of the boys held her hat. It was a very cute, domestic scene. Well, at least until a little bear bumbled out of the grasses and bounced off one of the boy's legs. "Ouch!" he yipped, staggering back. "Hey! That wasn't very nice." One of the girls grabbed his arm, "Careful. Don't get mad. That's a wild pokemon! It could hurt us if you make it angry..." "It shouldn't hit people if it doesn't wanna be hit back!" His flailing got the attention of the other boy, who grabbed him as well. As they wrangled their temperamental friend, the bear stumbled about and then caught itself on one of the girls' skirt, eliciting a scandalized screech. She smacked its paw away and skittered backwards. The confused spinda wobbled and spun, still watching them, apparently baffled by why they were making all these upset noises. "GO AWAYYYY!" the girl whined. Well then. Just another day in the pokemon world.

Riolu didn't realize it at first, but as she and Clem hiked along route 29 in search for more opponents to train against, it soon became apparent that Clem was no longer by her side. "See any Pokemon or trainers that look like they'd be good first opponents for Scraggy or myself yet, Clem?...Clem?...Damn it, are you counting your teeth again?!" The Emanation Pokemon turned after not getting a response from her trainer, then her eyes went from glaring to wide with shock, as Clem was nowhere to be found. Riolu then became rather frantic, looking all around for Clementine as fast as she could. Fortunately, it didn't take her very long to find her trainer, noticing Clem several yards behind her, watching the grade school children's adorable display with a warm smile upon her face.
"Urgh!...The attention span of a Pachirisu." Riolu remarked to herself in a frustrated tone of voice, then marched right over to Clem and started tugging on her left arm to get her attention. "Watching school kids now, are we? And just when I thought you couldn't get any creepier." This was more than enough to bring Clem back to reality, but not nearly enough to make her lose her smile, as she turned, looked down at Riolu, and offered her up an explanation. "Oh, sorry, Riolu. Those kids just reminded me of Bea, Allister, and myself when we were all younger and I just couldn't help but stare and reminisce." Indeed, the silver-haired trainer had tons of fond memories of her two best friends in the whole world, going all the way back to even before they were in grade school themselves.
"Yeah. Great. Can we go now?" Riolu said that first part in a sarcastic tone of voice, then questioned her trainer while continuing to tug on said trainer's left arm. However, they didn't get very far at all from there, hearing one of the female children scream and seeing that a wild Spinda had appeared before their group. Although the children had grown rather worked up by this, it was easy for Clem to see that the Spot Panda Pokemon meant them no harm. Still, Clem and her Pokemon did come here to train, and Clem did hate seeing children in distress, no matter the cause. So, after quickly weighing her options in her mind, the Galarian trainer shrugged her shoulders, grabbed a familiar Pokeball from her bag, and pressed the button on it to make it bigger.
"Okay, Hawlucha! Time to be a hero again! So, go give those kids a hand!" With a new and even brighter smile upon her face, Clem tossed the red and white ball over at the scene before her, and the Wrestling Pokemon appeared between the children and the wild Spinda. "Have no fear, children! Hawlucha is here!" Sticking to his usual routine, Hawlucha struck some heroic poses, staring down his latest foe as he did. And although Hawlucha's mannerisms exhausted Riolu, she had to admit, she was impressed by Clem's initiative this time around. "Don't let any harm come to those kids, Hawlucha! Use your Drain Punch now!" At Clem's command, the Fighting/Flying type struck one more pose, then clenched his fist, filled it up with energy, and charged straight for Spinda.

The spinda was confused by all the flailing and screaming. It wobbled some more, waving a paw at the kids who were backing away from it. Apparently the power of friendship was not strong here, because they kept backing off no matter how adamant it was in trying to reach out. The angry boy looked close to kicking it and the scandalized girl was now hiding behind her friends, still making a fuss about it grabbing her. That was when the hawlucha jumped onto the scene. With a powerful and dashing punch, it sent the spinda whirling! It hobbled and wobbled and nearly fell down onto its fuzzy butt, but it managed to keep its balance. Barely. It shook its head and stumbled in the opposite direction, slamming into the hawlucha's chest in return. A far less devastating of a blow in comparison. <Why is everyone so upset? I didn't do anything?> the spinda complained. It waved its paws in frustration. <I said hello and they started to scream and then I stumbled and they screamed so more and now you're hitting me. Hawlucha had taken some damage from Spinda's Tackle, but he hung in there and struck another heroic pose, wanting to look as cool and composed as possible in front of all who were present to witness this battle. "HA! If that's the best you can muster, then you shall never defeat me, you fiend! This hero shall not faulter!" Hawlucha proudly declared, even though the children couldn't understand a word he was saying, and the wild Spinda hadn't actually done anything wrong itself. The kids may have misunderstood the Spot Panda Pokemon, but Clem and her Pokemon sure did. That being said, none of them made any efforts to clear up this misunderstanding whatsoever. Clem wanted to do so, but Riolu beat her to the punch this time around.
"Tough luck, Spinda. That's just how life is sometimes. Haven't you ever heard of natural selection? All Pokemon have to beat other Pokemon to grow and get stronger. You just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time." Riolu explained to Spinda in a cold and unforgiving tone of voice, but then glanced at her undead trainer, unable to resist the urge to point that fact out yet again. "Although, admittedly, there are exceptions to every rule. Not sure if you can count this one anywhere in the circle of life." The Emanation Pokemon gestured to her trainer, but said trainer wasn't really paying much attention to her right now, focusing most of her attention on the children for the moment. Unlike certain Poison and Bug type trainers, Clementine did in fact care about the feelings of her fellow human beings.
"Don't worry, kids! Hawlucha will have this battle all wrapped up in no time! Just sit back, relax, and watch the show! You'll see!" The silver-haired trainer called out to the children in friendly tone of voice, making an effort to reassure them that everything was going to be okay. But, of course, there was still the matter of the finishing blow to address. "That's your cue, Hawlucha! Use Drain Punch one more time!" Clem turned to face her Pokemon, gave him his command, and the wheels were set in motion once more. "As you command, my lady! I shall strike this foe down with one more blow from my powerful fist of justice!" Still as proud and heroic as ever, the Wrestling Pokemon clenched his fist, channeled energy into it, then charged right for Spinda for the second time, using the strong tailwinds to gain even more speed and power.

<Natural selection?> The other pokemon kept saying big confusing words that didn't understand. The humans kept making a fuss and then—Bam. Another hard smack. This time, the little bear stumbled right into a bush, out cold. Those hits were hard! Such a strong pokemon. Now that the spinda was seeing stars and dreaming of berries, the kids looked over at Clem and waved. One of the boys ran up to Clem and pointed at the Hawlucha, "THAT WAS AWESOME. What pokemon is that? It like punched so hard. LIKE BAM, AND WHAM—" "Andrew, leave the grown up alone," one of the girls whined. "Sorry! He's, um, a bit rough." "Hey. You have to admit that was so cool, watching that bird beat that stupid bear up! Like a super hero!" "...I don't like violence," the harassed girl mumbled. Her friend comforted her as she started to sniff. Clearly just overwhelmed. "Sorry..." her friend apologized. "We should go. Thanks for the help!" Hawlucha gained +3 LVs and grew to LV 7

At first, Hawlucha was quite pleased with himself, having won his second battle, gotten even stronger, and saved the little children all at the same time. Even if they weren't actually in any danger. "The hero triumphs yet again! No thanks are necessary, citizens!" The Wrestling Pokemon proudly proclaimed, raising his fist in the air as high as it could go. However, when the children all turned their attention towards Clem, rather than he himself, he had lost the wind beneath his wings, so to speak. Looking on with a stunned facial expression, Hawlucha had fallen completely silent, while Riolu made her way over to her disheartened teammate. "Don't let it get to you, Hawlucha. Remember, most humans can't understand us. And hey, at least that kid said you were awesome."
Riolu spoke to Hawlucha in a sympathetic tone of voice and patted his shoulder gently, doing her best to cheer him up, which may have seemed out of character for her, but in truth, Clem was the only one she gave a significant amount of grief to. The Emanation Pokemon could actually be very sweet and caring towards others, but only when she wanted to. "...Yes, I suppose you're right, Riolu. Besides, a true hero has no need for trivial things such as recognition." Hawlucha said after perking back up a bit, but Riolu could tell with her aura-sensing abilities that he was merely attempting to justify this rather unsavory outcome to himself. "Whatever makes you happy, Hawlucha. Whatever makes you happy." Riolu responded in a more sarcastic tone of voice, sweatdropping at the latest words and reaction of her fellow Fighting type Pokemon.
All the while, Clem was smiling at the group of children, waving back at them and addressing them one by one, starting with the boy called Andrew. "Well, aren't you sweet? Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed the battle. That's Hawlucha, and I think he's really cool too." Clem then faced the girl who whined, keeping her smile and waving her hand in front of her face, assuring her that it was no big deal. "Oh, don't worry at all. It's totally fine. I don't mind one bit. Really." After that, Clem noticed the other girl in the group, seeing that she was very close to breaking down on the spot. This caused the Galarian trainer's facial expression to soften right away, as she then heard that girl's friend apologize and thank her for her help.
In response to all of this, Clementine quickly bowed her head, speaking to the children in a kind and soft tone of voice so as not to upset the sniffling girl any more than she already was. "It's no trouble at all, I promise. But yes, you should all hurry home before anything else happens. I do hope you all get home safely, but if anything else does happen, my Pokemon and I will come to give you a hand anytime, anywhere." Clem raised her head after that, smiling and waving at the gaggle of children as she watched them vacate the area. "Such sweet little kids. Makes me miss Bea and Allister even more." Clem said to herself, then turned to look at her two Pokemon, losing her smile in favor of a mildly shocked and puzzled facial expression, taking notice of Hawlucha's current emotional state.
"Oh my...What's wrong, Hawlucha? I thought you'd be happy. Sure, that Spinda was harmless, but you still won another battle and help those kids out. Just like a real hero." The Fighting type trainer spoke to her Pokemon with a high level of concern in her voice, and Hawlucha was quick to open his mouth with a response. But Riolu was even faster, quickly covering his mouth before he could speak, giving their trainer a response of her own. "He'll be fine. All heroes go through this sort of thing at one time or another. Let's just move past it and get back to training, okay? I still wanna win my first battle over here." And just like that, Hawlucha fell silent once again, while Clem got her smile back and called Hawlucha back to his Pokeball. "Okay! Let's make it happen then, Riolu! I'm with ya!" Riolu then rolled her eyes, as she and Clem turned right around, and continued to search around route 29 for a good training opportunity for Riolu.

The snow that had coated the route was all but gone now as the sun was shining high in the sky, but along with this transitional weather was the pickup of gusting winds, blowing through the area. It was almost gusting strong enough to pick up a lighter Pokemon and send them flying. That would be the problem for a native Pokemon in the area. Trying to flap with stubby wings, the poor lone Spearow was struggling mightily, not used to such awful wind conditions. In fact, the wind was pushing so hard on the wings of the bird, half the time it seemed to be flying backwards. A particularly bad gust of wind would send the Spearow right for Clementine's head. Would the awareness of her and her Pokemon avoid a crash? Level 2 Wild Spearow is struggling against the wind and heading right for Clementine? What will she do? Shiny? vH9le1rGp_1-42 p_1-6 p_1-3

The increase in wind speed and power might've bothered other trainers, but not Clem, as she was way too focused on the beautiful sunshine to get her spirits knocked down even a little. Rather, the Fighting type trainer stayed true to her nature, smiling even more brightly than the sun itself, and humming a merry melody as she and Riolu continued to make their way through route 29. As for Riolu herself, she was having some more trouble than her trainer was. With her small body, she nearly got blown right off her feet a few times, much to her irritation. "Oh, come on. You've gotta be kidding me right now. This bit? Seriously, universe?" The blue, bipedal puppy rhetorically asked the universe itself, doing so in a tone that was far too quiet for Clem to hear over her humming.
And so, although Riolu was extremely reluctant to do so, she reached up and grabbed onto Clem's hand, holding onto it as if it were a kind of safety line. As soon as she felt this, Clem momentarily stopped her humming, looking surprised, but then smiled again the moment she turned and looked down at her young companion. "Awww, Riolu. All you had to do was ask." Since Clem's heart no longer beated, she didn't have a pulse, which Riolu didn't like one bit. In fact, the mere act of touching any part of her trainer's body made every single hair on her body stand on end. Metaphorically, of course. "Yeah, except I had absolutely no desire to do so. Just don't let me get blown off my feet. Okay, zombie girl?"
Once again, Clementine was completely unfazed by Riolu's mean comments, continuing to smile at her and hold her paw securely with her left hand. "You got it, Riolu. I'm sure this wind will blow over quickly enough anyway." The Galarian trainer made a little joke, giggling a bit, while Riolu just rolled her eyes and let out a small sigh of exasperation. The trainer and Pokemon pair then continued down the route, with Clem going right back to humming her melody, looking and sounding even more happy than before. Another, rather dangerous, assumption to make about Clementine Nightingale was that she was a simpleton who was blissfully unaware of the world around her. However, that assumption couldn't possibly be more wrong.
With the power of her right eye, which she received from a Lucario after her encounter with death, she gained the ability to see and sense the aura of all living creatures. And contrary to what people may think about her, she was constantly using this ability. Even while she slept, to an extent. As such, it took A LOT to surprise her. So, the incoming Spearow was certainly no surprise to the silver-haired maiden, as she stopped walking and humming once again, saw the approaching Tiny Bird Pokemon, then quickly raised her right hand to catch it. True, the Spearow didn't fit into the palm of her hand at all, but she was still able to stop it from being blown away by the wind and hitting her in the face. "Some weather we're having today, huh, little guy?" Clem asked the Spearow in a playful tone of voice, smiling at it, before slowly bending over and placing it back onto the ground.
Of course, given how low leveled this Spearow was, Riolu saw this as a good opportunity for her and Scraggy to finally gain some experience in battle. "Uhhh...Hello! Don't just let it get away, zombie! Get Scraggy out here now!" Riolu yelled and glared up at Clem, deciding to let Scraggy go first, mostly to test the waters against this Flying type adversary. "Oh! Okay, Riolu! If you say so! Come on out, Scraggy! It's battle time!" Maintaining her smile and friendly demeanor, Clem grabbed Scraggy's Pokeball from her bag, then tossed it down onto the ground, sending the Shedding Pokemon out onto the latest battlefield. Straight away, the wind assaulted Scraggy's face and body, as she did her best to hang in there and gaze upon the environment around her. Almost immediately after that, Scraggy gasped, blushed, grabbed her saggy skin on the lower half of her body, and stretched it up to cover her face as best as she could.
"EEK! I'm out in the open! Too many people and Pokemon can see me out here! Please don't look at me!" The Fighting/Dark type cried out in a very distraught tone, far too easily embarrassed to react any other way to the world beyond her Pokeball. Naturally, Riolu didn't like this one bit either, starting to glare and yell at her reptilian teammate after facepalming at her reaction to her first battle. "If you wanna get back inside your Pokeball, then hurry up and knock that Spearow out cold! Come on, you damn coward! Use your Drain Punch on it now!" Hearing Riolu's voice, Scraggy began to calm down a bit, slowly peeking out from her own skin to see the wild Spearow before her, but instantly took a few steps backwards the moment she made eye contact with the Normal/Flying type.
"Ehhhh...But I really don't wanna..." Scraggy continued to complain, nearly her entire face changing from yellow to red from the sheer embarrassment she felt. In fact, her blush was so hot that she barely even noticed the wind anymore at all. "Awww, c'mon, Scraggy! I know you've got it in you! Please do this now and I promise I'll sing you your favorite song tonight before bed! How does that sound?!" In a gentler and kinder tone of voice, Clem shouted out some words of encouragement to her young Pokemon, knowing that she always enjoyed it whenever Clem sang her to sleep at night. And then, slowly but surely, Scraggy began to find the will to start battling, taking her hands off of her skin, taking a deep breath to steady her nerves, and facing her first opponent. "Well...okay then. In that case...I'll try my best for you, Clem." And just like that, Scraggy was off, heading straight for the lone Spearow with her small fist raised, hoping that her Drain Punch would do some decent damage.

The wild Spearow was so overwhelmed and freaked out by the wild winds that it didn't even fight or make any sounds as Clementine held it, before finally putting it down in the grass. That was very unlike Spearows as a whole, and it was interesting that it was being so calm. Maybe because it was young? Younger Pokemon are not always as quick to lash out, especially if they were just helped. The Spearow looked around, before it started preening its feathers, apparently not afraid of this human and her Pokemon. When Clem released the Scraggy, the bird looked at the reptile Pokemon with a blank stare, since it had never seen anything like her before. Not sensing any danger, Spearow continued to do its thing until the Scraggy charged at it, her fist glowing. <You'd better back up right now. I don't want to fight you!> the Spearow growled, hoping that the vocal energy would be enough to make the lizard back down. Spoiler alert, it wasn't. The fist of the Scraggy made solid contact with the chest of the Spearow, causing the bird to flap back. When it landed it started wheezing. Scraggy must have nailed it right in the lung. With a squawk of pain, the Spearow opened its wings, trying to look bigger and intimidating. <You're going to pay for that!> Wild Encounter Weather: Clear [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Spearow LV 2 HP 71% [10/14]

While most newborn Pokemon would've probably been very happy about landing their first attack in a real battle, Scraggy was still far too embarrassed and uncomfortable to feel even a single ounce of joy. It also didn't help when the Spearow started yelling at her and opened up its wings, as the intimidation method seemed to be working like a charm. "EEK! I'm sorry! I don't wanna battle you either! Please forgive me! And please don't look at me either!" Once again, Scraggy grabbed the loose skin on the lower half of her body and stretched it up to cover her face, doing her best to hide from her opponent. On the one hand, Clem found this display to be rather adorable and comical, unable to stop herself from giggling ever so slightly. But on the other hand, Riolu only found this behavior to be utterly shameful and just plain unacceptable, letting out yet another sigh of frustration and burying her face in her right palm.
"We've been over this, Scraggy! If you wanna go back to your ball, then stop hiding and fight! Give it another Drain Punch and make it a good one!" Like the small K9 she was, Riolu barked another set of orders at her cowardly teammate. After taking her face out of her palm, of course. "Yeah! C'mon, Scraggy! Show us what you can really do, sweetie! Remember, there's a good song in it for you!" Similarly, Clem continued to cheer her Pokemon on, doing so in a much more cheerful and friendly tone of voice than Riolu's. "...What do you think I've been doing up to now, Clem?" Scraggy asked in a nervous tone, slowly coming out of her skin for the second time since this bout began. After that, she once more gathered her courage, clenched her right fist, then ran as fast as she could towards her feathery foe.

<Alright, here I go, going to make you pay for this any second now!> The spearow growled, continuing to flutter and loom and try to make itself look as big as possible. This furious, feathered fiend was apparently a bit of a pacifist at heart as it continued to avoid attacking in favor of intimidating the scrafty. But the intimidation tactics only did so much, as the next punch hit just as hard as the last. The spearow was flung a few feet back where it made another disagreeable caw. <Just run away already! BEFORE I REALLY MAKE YOU REGRET HITTING ME! I'M SERIOUS! I WILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR IT! JUST YOU WAIT, I WON'T HOLD BACK NEXT TIME!" More fluffing and posturing and flaring of wings. It probably could have won this fight if it attacked from the go ahead, but it had fluffed itself into a corner by the look of things... Much like her trainer, Scraggy was a rather paradoxical creature. Even though it was clear that she was winning this battle, she still felt trapped. At her front, she had an agitated Spearow cawing angerly at her. And at her back, she had a displeased Riolu who simply refused to let her back out of this battle. No matter how badly she wanted to do just that. Fortunately, the Shedding Pokemon still had one ray of sunshine that kept her going, even in the darkest of times. Which was kind of ironic, since she herself was a Dark type Pokemon. In any case, this ray of sunshine, so to speak, was her undead trainer, Clementine Nightingale, who continued to cheer the young Pokemon on and offered her plenty of encouragement.
"Don't you listen to that mean little Spearow, Scraggy! I could've had just about any Fighting type Pokemon I wanted for this team, but I chose you! Partly because I saw great potential in you, and partly because you're just the cutest little thing I've ever seen in my entire life! I'd never ask any of my Pokemon to do anything that I didn't know they were capable of doing! So, let's see another Drain Punch! If that Spearow won't attack, then we will! And we'll win this battle for sure!" Clem's smile was as full and bright as ever, and her words were chock full of enthusiasm and love, without even the smallest hint of doubt to be had. As for Riolu, she simply stayed quiet for the time being, finding herself admittedly a little touched by Clem's words herself, but there was no way she'd ever admit that out loud.
Thankfully, the Galarian trainer's small, but meaningful speech did its job, as Scraggy felt her heartbeat quicken, clenching her small fists and taking a single deep breath. "...I'm still not sure if I'm worthy of such praise, Clem, but if you're willing to keep me around, then I'll do my best to make you proud! Starting by making sure that your speech doesn't go to waste!" With renewed vigor, Scraggy prepared a third Drain Punch in her right hand, then charged at the wild Spearow yet again. Whether another Growl or an actual attack was coming next, Scraggy was more or less prepared to face it without backing down. All the while, Clem and Riolu continued to watch from the sidelines, both of them hoping that their comrade would indeed be able to pull off a win here.

"Listen here you little lizard. The wind might be blowing hard today and maybe you heard Spaerows are mean, but I am in a particularly good mood today and I have been warning for you to please go away. I am feeling extra generous and kind today and you should definitely take advantage of it!" The tan-feathered bird squawked, albeit a little frustrated. "Why can't you just listen to me? I am giving you a good deed by letting you go! Like, I am trying to be a nice Spearow today for a change!"The Scraggy continued another Drain Punch, but it wasn't convincing to the particularly kind Spearow that she was taking in her generosity. Even though the Scraggy was persistent, she was getting close to wear the flying type Pokemon down, but just not enough to score a victory, yet.
