In all honesty, Scraggy did feel bad about starting a fight with this kind Spearow, especially after Clem went out of her way to give it a hand when it was being blown away by the strong winds. However, the Fighting/Dark type had another reason for battling besides the reward of Clem's song and the scolding from Riolu. Given her cowardly demeanor, Scraggy had often felt like the weakest link on this team, which was definitely not a good feeling at all. Plus, she overheard Clem chatting with her sister, Bea, once, a little before Clem left to begin her journey across Johto. As a Fighting type trainer with more experience, Bea warned Clem of the dangers of Fairy, Flying, and Psychic type Pokemon, having been defeated by those very types many times during her days as a gym leader.
But Clem wasn't worried about those three types at all, explaining to her younger sister that she had plans in place to deal with each of them. For Fairy types, many of Clem's Pokemon knew how to use the move Poison Jab, not to mention Riolu's eventual evolution into Lucario, a Steel type. For Flying types, many of Clem's Pokemon knew the moves Ice Punch and Thunder Punch, as well as Passimian's Rock Tomb. And if that wasn't enough, Clem knew of a place in Johto to capture wild Crabrawlers. Which, of course, evolved into Crabominable, an Ice type. Clem already had an Ice Stone. She just needed the Crabrawler. And finally, for those pesky Psychic types, she had her Pokemon learn moves such as Knock Off, Brutal Swing, and Dark Pulse. But most of all, she had Scraggy, a Dark type Pokemon.
Bea questioned Clem about placing so much faith in one Pokemon, especially when that one Pokemon was so young and easily startled. But, once again, the undead trainer showed no fear or concern, assuring her sister that Scraggy would always come through when it mattered most. Upon hearing this, little Scraggy was touched beyond words, but also scared beyond words too. Her trainer was putting so much faith in her, and when she had so little faith in herself to boot. And that's exactly why, no matter how frightened or embarrassed she was, Scraggy just couldn't bring herself to quit the team and let her trainer and fellow Fighting types down. She just hoped that, in her heart, Clem was right about her, and that one day she'd grow out of this and become a Pokemon worthy of being part of a future Fighting type master's team.
With those thoughts and memories still extremely fresh in her mind, Scraggy gathered what little courage she had inside, then faced the wild Spearow and offered up the best response she could to its words. "...You...You really wanna know why I can't just turn around and walk away from this fight?...It's because my friends are depending on me! I'm their hope! And if I don't get stronger, then I'll only end up letting them down and holding them back! So, I'm sorry, but I can't quit now! I won't! I refuse! Do you hear me?!" As Scraggy shouted out her heartfelt words, her face began to turn red again, and tears slowly formed in her eyes, while Clem and Riolu looked on in shock, having never seen this side of Scraggy before. Then, without even needing to hear the order, Scraggy let her emotions take the wheel, preparing yet another Drain Punch and running as fast as she could towards the Tiny Bird Pokemon.

Spearow’s small eyes were wide with fright. This strange lizard wouldn’t heed its warnings and simply leave it alone. Fear surged throughout the small bird’s body. Hadn’t it been clear with Scraggy? Wasn’t it giving her plenty of chances? Why was Scraggy refusing to take the offer and head off with her trainer for greener pastures?! “Look at me, please.” Spearow raised one of its stubby pink wings from its body and curved it back around to point to itself. “Do I really look like that much of an opponent?” It asked Scraggy with a crazed look. Spearow immediately hopped up high into the air and flapped its wings as fast as it could, causing dirt to stir on the ground. It was puffing itself up, fluffing every feather on its body so that it could look larger and more threatening than it actually was. So far, it had yet to make good on its promise to attack. But it definitely would! If Scraggy and her trainer didn’t learn to back off! “I AM WARNING YOU FOR THE LAST TIME!” The wild Pokemon growled, landing on a low hanging branch nearby after tuckering itself out from the short-lived flight. Spearow weren’t known to be great flyers, after all. “DON’T MAKE ME GET MEAN!” Spearow snapped. Scraggy rushed after Spearow, chasing it out of the tree and managing to land a powerful blow to Spearow’s face. The bird squawked loudly and tumbled to the ground painfully. It immediately crawled onto its sharp talons and dusted itself off, checking the bruised wings over thoroughly. “It’s not even a fight. You’re just a bully beating up on a Pokemon who doesn’t want to fight.” Spearow spat angrily, before lifting its wings and hopping off into the distance. It would fly short distances from one low hanging tree branch to the next, which looked more like hopping through the canopies than anything else. “Ya’ll all crazy!” Spearow grumbled to itself. In spite of the wild Spearow's harsh words and criticisms, Clem, Riolu, and Scraggy all watched the Normal/Flying type fly away, filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Especially Scraggy. The cowardly reptile could hardly believe it. She actually managed to pull it off. She won her first ever battle. Sure, the opponent may not have been anything special, but that made no difference to Scraggy. The Shedding Pokemon had won, gotten stronger, and was on her way to becoming the kind of Pokemon that Clem could rely on for pretty much any challenge that came their way. "Clem...I did it." Scraggy proudly proclaimed, smiling a big, happy smile with bright sparkles slowly filling her eyes, just as the strong winds had finally died down and given way to clear skies once again.
Gaining a bright, new smile of her own, Clem walked over to her victorious friend, bent over, picked said friend up in her arms, and held her close in a loving embrace. "Yup. You sure did, Scraggy. And I'm so proud of you. I always knew you had it in you, even if you didn't right away." Still, it would take a lot more than just a single victory to help Scraggy get over her nerves, as she looked up at her trainer and immediately started blushing, covering her face with the skin on the lower half of her body. "...Clem...you're embarrassing me here...Please put me down." Feeling playful, Clem decided to tease her Pokemon a bit, making it seem like she was thinking about putting her down for about five seconds. "Hmmm...Nope. Sorry, Scraggy, but you just looked so cool out there during that battle. Plus, you're so stinkin' cute, I just can't help myself. Snuggle, snuggle."
The Galarian trainer then began to snuggle her cheek against Scraggy's head, causing Scraggy to blush even harder, with steam starting to come off of her scaly head. "Oi...I guess that old saying is true. The more things change, the more they stay the same." Riolu couldn't help but comment in her usual tone of exasperation, pinching the bridge of her nose as she did. However, Clem was still completely unfazed by the mammalian Fighting type's attitude, keeping her smile as she pulled away from Scraggy's steam-covered cranium. "Well, Scraggy did win her battle, and I'm a girl of her word. So..." Not forgetting the promise she made to Scraggy, Clem took a deep breath, getting ready to sing Scraggy's favorite song to her as her well-deserved reward.
"We are still living today. We are still laughing today. We don't need anything more. We're quick to want. This feeling is only natural. We're born without anything after all. Happiness is...To be by your side, to be close to you. Not to lose sight of what is really important. To be grateful to the person who understands no matter what happens. Everyone is afraid to lose sight of oneself, but you will surely find love in your heart. Come walk with us. We walk under the same sky; we look at the same stars. Let's keep this beautifully colored bond. Happiness is forever." The song went on for a few more verses from there, as Clem continued to stroll through route 29, carrying Scraggy in her arms and swaying her head from side to side. Hearing her favorite song sung by her trainer's beautiful voice, Scraggy couldn't help but feel completely relaxed and at ease. Even Riolu found herself enjoying the melody, still not sure how her undead trainer could sing so well, following right beside her on her trek through said route.
OOC: I will have Scraggy learn Payback, forgetting Leer in its place. Thanks.

Tall ears twitched over the top of a bush. Joined by another set of ears. And another. A group of about three young sentret were playing in the grass, jumping and chasing and having fun in the flowers. But when they heard Clem's approach and the chatter of her pokemon, they all quieted. They became tense and hyper alert. One chittered as it pushed onto its tail to get a better look, flinching back down upon seeing the human trainer. They spoke in hushed noises before two of them ducked and started to flee. There remained just one, the largest and boldest of the group, who continued to watch Clem from its hiding spot. Maybe...it could get a better look? Chirping, it peered higher until its whole face was over the bush. A few leaves rustled as it positioned itself. <What's that weird sound its making?> it marveled aloud.

Being that both Clem and Scraggy were still lost in the rhythm of Clem's song, they both failed to notice that they were being watched. However, Riolu's senses were still as sharp as ever, quickly picking out the aura of a curious wild Pokemon nearby. Turning her head and narrowing her eyes, the Fighting type Pokemon glanced at the wild Sentret, but not enough that the Scout Pokemon would notice that it was being watched right back. From there, the Emanation Pokemon pondered her options for what to do next. Although she had given Clem almost nothing but grief from the moment she emerged from her Pokeball, Riolu still didn't wish to interrupt the Galarian trainer's singing. To do so would mean to rob Scraggy of her hard fought and won reward, and Riolu just wasn't that cold hearted.
Instead, Riolu took it upon herself to deal with the current adversary, making use of her Quick Attack to grab a Pokeball from Clem's bag without her noticing. Once she had the red and white orb in her paws, Riolu used her Quick Attack again, heading straight for the wild Sentret. With her speed, she reached the Normal type long before it had any hope of escaping, staring right at said Normal type with a displeased look in her eyes. "Ya know, it's not very nice to spy on others. My undead trainer might have some forgiveness and mercy to offer you, but not me. And not this guy either." Riolu tossed the Pokeball in her paw up into the air, calling her fellow Fighting type Pokemon, Passimian, out onto the latest battlefield. "Woohoo! Finally, it's my turn to get in some action again! It feels like forever since my last battle!"
The Teamwork Pokemon grinned big and cheered loudly, clearly very excited for his second battle, while Riolu just gazed upon him with exasperation all over her face. "It hasn't even been an hour since your first battle, Passimian..." She quickly moved past that fact though, focusing all of her attention on the battle that was about to unfold, and taking it upon herself to act as the trainer this time around. "Whatever! Just do what you do best and hit that Sentret with a Drain Punch!" Hearing his commands loud and clear, Passimian eyed the wild Sentret, then tossed his coconut over to Riolu before carrying them out. "You got it, Riolu! Here! Hold my coconut for me, would ya?!" Passimian then clenched his fist and charged in, while Riolu flinched and did the best she could to catch the incoming coconut. "Huh?! No! Wait! I'm not ready for-" Having never played catch before, she failed, and ended up taking a coconut to the face.

The sentret was curious but knew it had to stay hidden, it was a dangerous world and a lot of things were out to harm the little wary normal type, which was why all the others had ran off as soon as something new and unknown had arrived. The brave one had been a pickle before but hadn't learned from its earlier mistakes, perhaps it would this time. It flinched as Riolu appeared out of no where and then darted around it when it instinctively tried to ran away, it fluffed out its fur nervously. "What?" It said confused and looked over at its shoulder toward Clementine. Little of what the fighting type said made any sense, it had no clue about what an "undead" was, it could see a human standing down there, and it wasn't quite sure what spying was either, since pokemon did scout ahead and keep an eye on others while being unseen themselves all the time, it was just a matter of surviving. Riolu didn't sound like she was open for questions of that kind, not with how angry she strangely enough was. "Oh! You just want to battle! you could have said that!" The sentret said with a grin, "I love to battle! I hope to evolve and be a giant one day! That will be so cool!" It chattered on and was gone in a blurr, even fast Passimian couldn't keep up with that speed and the sentret bumbed a bit lightly into the side of the team working fighting type. It laughed out loud when it realized what had happened to Riolu, "better work on your coordination!" It teased good humoredly. It was just the distraction Passimian needed and her fist found the side of the normal type and sent it flying over the ground. It lay still and for a long moment it looked like the battle was over, but then the sentret stirred and struggled up sitting it. It looked at awe at Passimian and then smiled wryly, "you really know how to pack a punch!"Wild Encounter Weather: Clear [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Wild Sentret LV 6 HP 100% [3/22]

Not used to receiving such praise from anyone besides his trainer, Passimian was rather surprised by Sentret's kind words at first, but that wore off quickly. Once it had, the Teamwork Pokemon smirked confidently, wiping some dirt from his nose as he did. "Awww, c'mon. You're making me blush here. It's just how I roll. And hey, you're not so bad yourself. I think you'll make a fine Furret someday." Passimian offered the Normal type some praise in return, very much enjoying this exchange of blows, as well as words. All the while, Riolu was trying desperately to roll his coconut off of herself, gritting her teeth and having some trouble breathing. Fortunately, she was able to use her Dig attack to escape, digging her way out from underneath her teammate's favorite toy. "BLEH!...I'm...I'm alive...I'm pretty sure...I saw the face of Arceus for a moment there..." Riolu said to herself while trying to catch her breath, relieved that she didn't end up joining her trainer under the title of "undead". A few minutes later, the Emanation Pokemon got back to her feet and regained her composure, then immediately turned towards her fellow Fighting type and glared angerly at him. "Damn it, Passimian! Don't ever do that again! We don't all have your upper body strength! You could've killed me!" Hearing the sound of Riolu's angry voice caused Passimian to lose his smirk before turning to face her, nervously chuckling and scratching the back of his head a few times. "Oh...yeah. Sorry about that, Riolu. But hey, you're still breathing. That's what's important, right?"Riolu was clearly not even the slightest bit amused, continuing to glare at Passimian, while also grumbling a little bit as well, folding her paws in front of her torso. "Grrr...Just finish the battle, you big oaf! Use Drain Punch again!" The small blue puppy continued to play the role of trainer to the sport-loving primate, giving him his next command and doing so in a very angry tone of voice. Of course, since he was bigger and stronger than Riolu, Passimian wasn't really intimidated by her at all. Still, he didn't wish to anger her any further, turning back towards the wild Sentret and clenching his fist for another Drain Punch attack. "Sorry about this, Sentret! Wish we could talk some more, but she's serious! So, here I come!" Passimian charged straight towards the Scout Pokemon again, going to deliver what Riolu hoped would be the final blow of this bout. OOC: Sorry about the confusion, Tarlar. But no, ya got it right the first time. Riolu isn't taking part in this battle at all. She's just acting as the trainer, since Clem is off in her own little world. I thought it would be funny.

"Don't be sorry, I accepted this battle fair and square." The Sentret replied, readying itself for another Drain Punch coming from the strange Pokemon it was facing. With his fist glowing, the fighting type's black hand powerfully punched the poor Sentret, who was quickly knocked unconscious as the soft, furry body landed on the soft maturing grass with a soft thud. If Clementine would be interested in having this Sentret joining her, now it would be a good time to throw a Pokeball at it. "Alright, you can give me back my coconut. Or would you like to borrow it to get stronger?" The Passimian turned toward the Riolu, joking a little bit. He probably wouldn't mind staying outside the Pokeball for more training and battles, but he would have to see the Riolu's response. Well either way, the Passimian had learned a lot from this battle.

With Sentret down and out, this was yet another victory for Clem's team, and another step closer to finishing their training for the time being. Of course, Clementine wasn't aware of any of this herself, currently walking through another part of route 29, a good way away from Riolu and Passimian. As such, this Scout Pokemon would remain wild. At least for now. Hopefully, its friends would soon come back for it and help it to recover from its defeat. As for the puppy and the monkey, they now had to find their way back to their undead trainer, which would prove to be a relatively simple task with said puppy's aura sensing powers. However, she would definitely not be carrying her fellow Fighting type's coconut back with her, folding her arms and letting out a huff before responding to his little joke.
"Hmph! That's not funny, Passimian. You can carry your own stupid coconut back. Now, pick it up and let's get going." Riolu kept her arms folded and proceeded to seek out Clem's aura, finding it in only five seconds and beginning the trek towards it. As she did, Passimian shrugged his shoulders, walked over to his coconut, picked it up with his right hand, gave it a spin atop his index finger, and followed his teammate's lead at the same time. And during the hike back to their trainer, a thought occurred to Passimian, causing him to smirk at Riolu from behind, as the desire to tease her a little bit was far too great to ignore. "Ya know, there's really no need to get so upset, Riolu. I'm sure you'll be able to lift my coconut someday...after you finally manage to win a battle of your own perhaps."
As soon as those words reached her ears, Riolu came to a stop, and complete silence followed, as she kept her back turned to the Teamwork Pokemon. The Emanation Pokemon was well aware of the fact that she was the only member of the team that had yet to win even a single Pokemon battle, and that left her feeling more than a little frustrated. Partly because she had fallen behind her fellow Fighting types in terms of level, and partly because winning a battle would likely require her to work alongside the zombie trainer she constantly put down. After all the insults she had thrown Clem's way, how could she possibly ask for Clem's help in a Pokemon battle? "...Shut up, Passimian." Was all Riolu had to say in a cold tone of voice, clenching her paws tightly and continuing to head back to Clem, with Passimian continuing to follow behind her and losing his smirk, wondering if maybe he had gone too far.
OOC: I'll pass on having Passimian learn Rock Smash and capturing the Sentret. But just as a precaution, I'd like to give Riolu the EXP Share in Venom's inventory to hold onto for now if that's alright. Thanks.

A pidgey was chirping content to itself with half closed eyes as the breeze brought the fragrance from the many blooming flowers to it. Sitting in a tree it was clearly enjoying the sun on its feathers and the good times which spring was bringing, it was almost like a paradise. Harsh voices cut through the peace and the brown common bird opened its eyes to see what was going on. Pidgeys were known to be nonaggressive and preferring to flee at the sight of trouble, but of course pokemon weren't just what had been registreret in the pokedex by mainly kids. Of course, there were a reason pidgeys weren't usually compared to alakazams when it came to brain power. The pidgey frowned and then shook its head slowly, it spread its wings and glided down to swoop over the flowery ground, plucking several as it past. It angled its wings and soared over Riolu and Passimian and let the flowers rain down upon them. "You are traveling together, don't sour your traveling by this foul mood," the pidgey chirped wisely, "let the anger flow through you and watch it pass without damaging you, when you have let go of it you can bloom as the flowers. Your travel will be a bliss from then on."If they didn't look like they instantly had their minds blown by its wise words, started to meditate or were frolicking happily through the flowers, it would dive again to pluck some more flowers to throw in their faces. Riolu was so lost in her own fears, doubts, and regrets that she didn't even notice the wild Pidgey's chirping at all, as she and Passimian continued their trek back to their trainer. Passimian sure noticed though, smiling at the gentle tunes as they strode along route 29. Still, he preferred Clem's singing voice, but this was nice too. It wasn't until the flower petals began to rain over them that Riolu finally snapped out of it, coming to a stop and looking up at the Tiny Bird Pokemon. Passimian stopped too, standing beside his fellow Fighting type and listening intently to everything the Flying type was saying to them. Or more specifically, to Riolu.
The Emanation Pokemon knew very well that Pidgey was definitely not one of the few Pokemon that could sense the aura of others, but somehow, this one was able to pick up on what she was feeling quite well. "...Mind your own business, Pidgey. A wild Pokemon like you wouldn't understand." Was all Riolu had to say to the wild Pokemon, doing so in an uneasy and mildly annoyed tone of voice. After that, she clenched her paws once more and continued to head back to Clementine, with Passimian keeping pace with her the whole time. Of course, the Teamwork Pokemon was concerned about the mental wellbeing of his teammate, but he wasn't sure what he could say or do about it in the slightest.
Hopefully, their undead trainer would have some advice, but before the two Fighting types made it any further, a pair of flowers came flying down and struck them both in their faces. This action may end up proving to be a big mistake on Pidgey's part, as Riolu removed the flower from her face, crushing it in her right paw, then glared up at the Normal/Flying type. "Okay, you asked for it! Passimian, use Rock Tomb now! Knock the wind right out of that pest's sails!" Riolu's anger, as well as her aura, were beginning to flare up, and Passimian knew better than to go against her when she was like this. "If that's what you want, then okay. Just try to calm down, Riolu. Your aura is showing." He chuckled a bit, then dug up some big rocks from the ground, and flung them up at the wild Pidgey with all of his strength.

The bird flapped to hover in the air as it listened to Riolu's snapping response, "I might not, but that doesn't mean you have to let this anger control you. Let it flow, let go of it," it said sounding wise, it smiled overbearingly and nodded of the wisdom of its own words. It looked pointedly at both of them, it was both of them who had been squabbling after all, "you are only hurting yourself by letting anger control your beaks," it said slowly, "let go of the anger and your travel will be a bliss. Let the anger rule and you will both walk in the shadows."The two it tried to guide to a more happy path, didn't seem ready to listen. The bird shook its head sadly when Riolu snapped her order as angry as before, she had a long way to go. "You are controlled by..." It started but got cut off as Passimian's rock slammed into it and it dumbed to the ground. It lay there winded with roughed feathers for a moment or two, before it pushed itself up on its feet. "You.." It coughed and weezed, "you need to... let go.." It stubbornly continued and flapped its wings weakly. Some of the flower petals broke loose and flew over the two, along with it some dust from the ground, which would annoy Passimian's eyes a bit. As the Normal/Flying type let loose with its words of wisdom, Riolu once again found herself in a very conflicted state, falling silent as she tried her best to mentally work through it. Then, several seconds later, Passimian took advantage of this rare opportunity and decided to speak up. "Riolu, this may not mean much coming from a Pokemon that lives and breathes teamwork, like me, but I think this Pidgey has a point. We all know how you feel about Clem, but like it or not, she's our trainer and our friend. And you know how your species evolves. How do you expect to become the Lucario that you wanna be someday if you won't make nice with your own trainer?" Passimian asked his younger teammate in a serious, yet compassionate tone of voice, well aware that she dreamed about evolving one day.
Those words rang true for Riolu, causing her to flinch, as she slowly found herself glancing downwards, staring at her own paws with a look of contemplation upon her face. Of course, she wanted to evolve more than anything, and she knew full well how to make that happen. She just didn't know if she had it in herself to make peace with her zombified master. Even though the two gyms of Stow-on-Side had existed side by side since the town's founding, and the gym leaders of both Fighting and Ghost had always gotten along, Riolu had just never been a fan of the living dead, to put it mildly. She wasn't entirely sure why. She just didn't like anything that was supposed to be dead but kept on living anyway for one reason or another. Truth be told, even Riolu herself wasn't sure if it was fear, disgust, or some other third thing.
Sadly, neither she nor Passimian had the time it would take to figure that out right now, as Passimian's vision was suddenly blurred by Pidgey's flower petals. "Gah! Damn it! Riolu, I don't mean to interrupt your internal struggle, but I could use some help here please!" The sound of her suffering teammate's voice was plenty to bring the Emanation Pokemon back to reality for the time being, as well as come to a quick decision that would hopefully help her and the team out in the long run. "I know that you and this Pidgey are right, Passimian! I promise I'm trying my best! But maybe I could try a little harder! And on that note, Pidgey is on your three feet ahead of you on your right! Use Drain Punch!" She poured as much heart as she could muster into her words, and Passimian was quick to follow her directions, trying his best to hit Pidgey with a finishing move.

Pidgey shook its wings and plucked the damaged feathers Passimian caused moments before free from its flesh. Though pain initially screeched through its veins as soon as they were plucked, it eventually subsided into a feeling of ease and gentle release. The brown feathered avian turned to its opponents and pointed towards the broken and damaged feathers on the ground. “Anger is a pain that consumes are soul, such as those damaged feathers were pains that consumed the flesh.” It explained, flapping its wings expectantly. “It hurt me to pluck those feathers free. Do you know why I plucked them anyways?” Pidgey chirped and stared deeply at Riolu, waiting for the small pup to answer it. She was young with so much resentment and hostility bottled up inside of her. The goals she had for herself could never come true if she clung onto them desperately so. “Had I let them stay, they would inhibit my flight. I would be grounded for a long time just waiting for them to try and heal, and likely get nowhere. Meanwhile, that pain I might have held onto…for what? Would make me vulnerable to my enemies of the ground.” It explained further. Passimian raced across the ground and slammed Pidgey with the full brunt force of his fist. It knocked the bird backwards temporarily, stealing some of its strength to heal the black-and-white ape. Pidgey hopped up onto a nearby branch after being stunned and shook itself, freeing some more damaged feathers from its body. “I can no longer continue the fight. You have bested me. Please heed my words well, young Riolu! If you never learn to let your anger go, it will hurt you and make you weaker to your enemies wherever you go! Be free, as I am of my damaged feathers, and together we fly. While I fly with wings in the physical realm, you can let your spirit soar once you’re freed of your anger!” And with that, Pidgey would fly off into the wild blue yonder. Passimian gained 3 levels. Once the battle was over, Passimian was finally able to clean the pollen out of his eyes, giving him his uninhibited sight back once again. From there, both he and Riolu watched as Pidgey flew off and left them, staring up at the sky until the small Flying type was out of sight. Who knew that one of the most common Pokemon in the world could offer such deep and profound wisdom? Still, whether Riolu would take it to heart or not remained to be seen. Of course, the small, blue puppy knew that Pidgey was right. After all, that's exactly why she hadn't participated in any actual battles yet herself. Her small body and pure Fighting typing left her quite vulnerable. If she were a Lucario, a Steel type, then Flying type moves wouldn't bother her anywhere near as much as they do now.
After giving it some thought himself, Passimian glanced at his smaller teammate, unable to keep quiet any longer, his voice filled with as much compassion and concern as he could offer. "So, Riolu, what are you gonna do now?" He asked, then waited for her answer, hoping that she'd make the right choice. Several moments of silence followed, as Riolu thought to herself, before using her powers to sense the aura of all living things in the area. "C'mon, Passimian. Let's head back to the zombie. She's probably put Scraggy down for a nap by now." The Emanation Pokemon answered him, then turned and began to hike back to their trainer, able to tell exactly where she was.
Trusting Riolu and her powers, Passimian followed her lead, after picking up his coconut, of course. It only took the two Fighting types about five minutes to reach their trainer, finding Clementine sitting underneath a shady tree with a sleeping Scraggy in her arms, smiling and rocking the Shedding Pokemon back and forth slowly. Then, sensing the aura of her incoming Pokemon, Clem smiled again, calling Scraggy back to her Pokeball so that she could continue to slumber in peace. "Oh! Hi there, Riolu! Passimian! I don't know where you two have been, but I'm glad to see that you're back safe and sound! You both look stronger too! That's great!" The monkey and the puppy stopped once they came to about two feet away from their trainer, with Riolu looking rather uneasy, and Passimian smiling back at her.
"It's always good to see you too, Clem. But do you think I could go back to my Pokeball for a bit please? Riolu has something she wants to talk to you about, and I think it would be better if you two talked in private." Riolu flinched when she heard Passimian's words, but made no objections, twiddling with her small, blue fingers to help ease her nerves a bit. "Okay! Rest up, Passimian!" Clem didn't really get it, but she still called the Teamwork Pokemon back to his Pokeball, keeping her smile the entire time. Afterward, she set her sights on Riolu, giving the smaller Pokemon her undivided attention. "Now, what do you need, Riolu? Whatever it is, I'll do my best to help." Able to sense aura herself, the Galarian trainer already had a pretty good idea, but she wanted to hear it from Riolu before saying or doing anything more on the matter.
Glancing into her trainer's eyes, Riolu continued to fidget for a few more minutes, hesitant to answer her, but knew in her heart that she had to. So, after taking a big deep breath, Riolu looked Clem straight in the eye and told her how she was feeling. "Zom...Clem...I...I'm sorry...for everything I've said about you. I wanna...I wanna start over and make this work...if we can." Riolu couldn't stop herself from blushing, feeling more than a little embarrassed as she admitted all of this to her undead trainer. After that, it was Clem's turn to fall silent, losing her smile and looking down at Riolu in a stunned silence for a solid minute. She may have known what was coming, but it still meant a lot to her to hear it from Riolu out loud.
Then, once that minute was up, small tears of joy appeared in Clementine's eyes, her smile returned with a vengeance, and she dove right at Riolu, picking her up and pulling her into a loving embrace. "Oh, Riolu! Of course, I forgive you! I could never hate you! If you think you're ready, then I'd love to finally start being your trainer! You won't be disappointed! I promise! We'll make the best Fighting type team ever! You'll see!" This reaction caused Riolu to flinch again, blushing even harder as she struggled with all her might to break free from Clem's embrace. "Gah! Okay, okay! I get it! You're happy! Now, let me go! We're not here yet! One step at a time please!" Riolu's reaction caused Clem to giggle, then she gently placed Riolu back down on the ground, grabbed her back, and stood back up. "Whatever you say, Riolu. So, shall we?" Clem asked, Riolu dusted herself off and nodded, then the two of them headed deeper into route 29, waiting for their next opponent to reveal itself to them.
OOC: I will have Passimian learn Focus Energy, having him forget Leer in its place.
