Coming from the Twilight Glade. As Marchbaby and his group of Pokemon entered the fog covered area they quickly realized they were back in the Majestic Grove and that the very next area was the forest shrine. That was all well and go however the fog made it impossible to she the giant swirling purple cloud above the shrine. To make matters worse the feeling of evil and dread filled the air around them. Atropos was already dead and being pure evil she did not mind at all and Shocker and Bonecrusher were immune to the toxins in the air. Marchbaby and Kamikaze however knew they could not stay in the fog or long or else they might end up like that poor Chikorita. Marchbaby was not about to give up being this close however. As the group desperately searched for the evil spirit Atropos realized the only way she could make it to Morty so she could make a name for herself was if she helped her master. Being stronger than most of the evil spirits she was able to place a curse on the fog to temporarily keep it at bay so Marchbaby and the others could have more time to both banish the evil spirit as well as reach the forest shrine and end this madness. As much as Atropos hated helping any excuse she could get to practice using Curse was good as far as she was concerned. With the fog at bay for now the swirling purple cloud above the shrine became visible again but Marchbaby could not shake the feling that they were being watched. It was then that he saw a rather large tree in the middle of a clearing that looked like it may be hiding something. The tree looked really old compared to most of the trees in the area but the branches looked weak enough that a Headbutt attack would shake anything out of the branches that might be trying to hide in them. Marchbaby was glad to have found this tree since Bonecrusher knew Headbutt and he made up his mind to have Bonecrusher headbutt the tree in hopes that if there was an evil spirit in the tree that the collision would force it out into the open. As Marchbaby stepped back and Bonecrusher stepped forward the young man began to cough trying to clear his lungs before giving an order. " Alright Bonecrusher use Headbutt on this tree and let's see if it can drawl out any evil spirits."Staying to fight the next evil spirit just being a bit creative as to how it gets drawn out.

Dispelled somewhat by Atropos' curse in order to give the rest of the not so immune member's of Marchbaby's company some breathing space, the despicable spirit that dwell within this section of the routes was none too pleased. It had been allowed this majestic grove as a reward for its foul and malicious deeds it had performed in proving itself worthy to be considered part of the curse's watch. Realising it would have to dispel Atropos in order to reclaim its complete and undisputed control over the grove, it decided to lie in wait, hoping to ensnare Marchbaby the moment he dropped his guard. Its mind racing with dastardly thoughts, the Pokemon considered turning itself invisible and becoming the very air that he breathed. By doing so, he would bypass the guard of his Pokemon and choke the very lungs of the trainer. Considering how much damage he had done, there would be no mercy for such a sickly just and righteous soul. The other option of course was to place a curse akin to that of the one the Chikorita in the lake was suffering from. It wouldn't have an immediate effect. Instead, the curse would slowly sap away at Marchbaby's life, causing him to grow weaker by the hour until he would be unable to function. So intently wrapped up in it thoughts, the vile spirit had totally overlooked the fact Marchbaby had come over to its hiding spot with Bonecrusher in tow. Not quite hearing what the trainer had ordered, the next thing the ghost knew, its sanctuary had been absolutely devastated and torn asunder by Bonecrusher's immense headbutt impact. At this point it may be worth considering a change of name to Treecrusher. Nevertheless, with the headbutt made, the Gastly was left in full view and completely open. Realising its situation, the Pokemon let out a venomous hiss as it attempted to spread itself out in order to intimidate Marchbaby. Perhaps there would still be a chance he could sneak into his lungs and choke them. No matter what, this would end here. This trainer had become too great a threat to let walk free. Encounter

Ooc: Using my Full Heal and a Super Potion to fully heal Kamikaze. Using my Birthday cake on Kamikaze, Bonecrusher, and Bud my Budew and Bud evolves into Roselia. Edit: All Pokemon and items updated. Ic: As Kamikaze dealt the finishing blow Marchbaby could tell the toxic was quickly spreading throughout Kamikaze's body and he knew she was in trouble. He remembered having a Full Heal in his backpack and a Super Potion as well that he could use to treat Kamikaze for the time being until he could get her to a Pokemon Center. As he picked up the Full Heal he sprayed her entire body to make sure the poison would be negated. As Kamikaze began to feel better Marchbaby sprayed her with a Super Potion so she would regain the energy lost by the poison. Luna was in a state of pure terror as Kamikaze roared upon recovering her energy. The poor Clefa had barely hatched from her egg 20 minutes ago and the first two Pokemon she laid eyes on were scary looking Pokemon and Kamikaze's roar did not help to comfort the young Pokemon. As he did a Swellow flew overhead with a package tiec around it's legs. As it landed in front of Marchbaby the bird untied the package before flying off. As Swellow flew away Marchbaby opened the package there was a cake inside with a letter from the police academy. Marchbaby read the letter as he was curious as to what it may be about. "Dear David, We are sorry that the academy is still not ready for recruits yet but as a small token of our apology and for your desire to join the force we are sending you this Birthday cake. Happy belated birthday. Best regards, Johto Police Academy" Marchbaby was a little annoyed they still were not ready for him to join the force but a free Birthday cake was always nice. Kamikaze was pretty hungry and if he knew Bonecrusher the little dinosaur could not pass on a treat either. As soon as Marchbaby cut a slice of the cake Kamikaze snatched it and swallowed it whole. Bonecrusher at least chewed his piece but there was icing all over his face. Marchbaby saved the last slice for Bud as he felt bad for the poor Budew. He had not used him in a long time and he knew the little guy could use a treat. Poor Shocker lacked a mouth to eat anything despite somehow drinking MooMoo milk when fighting Bugsy and Shellshocker was still in his Pokeball and was too tired to care about eating. As for Atropos she was technically dead so she did not need food and Luna was still scared out of her wits from Kamikaze's roar. With the cake gone and their lungs as clear as they would get Marchbaby decided it was time to head to the forest shrine to end the madness. Heading to the Forest Shrine.

-coming from forest shrine-Leaving the rather spooky shrine he had encountered earlier, Alex felt much more relief. Though little did he know, time kept on going, and he could see that it's a bit past noon already. If he had wanted to hurry to find Goldenrod City, he would have to keep on walking, but he could really use a rest for his feet, as he was getting tired. Though with trees up high, he didn't really want wild Pokemon to interrupt his rest. Sighing unhappily, he continued on moving to somewhere that would be suitable for a rest, and less trees on top of his head. -go to ethereal lake-

-coming from Twilight Glade-After leaving the forest area after his fight with the Shuppet, he realized that he had stumbled upon this place before. This also meant that he might have been lost. However, this area felt a bit different because he felt that same dreaded feeling before when the cursed fog was around. Even though it was dark, he could finally see this forest area also have been affected by the fog, which also meant that another ghost was nearby. Seeing that nothing had appeared yet, he took the opportunity to thanked his Cacnea and Ariados for their help, as they had been helping him a lot and could use a rest. Then, he tossed out two different Pokeballs, a Dustox and a Beautifly appeared. He swapped his grounded Pokemon for some flying ones. The two Pokemon fluttered around, feeling uneasy about this weird forest area. -waits for Gastly-

Getting used to the uneasy feeling which had cursed the forest, even Alex was beginning to sense when another spirit was lurking nearby. Only, this wasn't just any spirit. He had one final area to progress through before making it to the centre, which held the ominous Forest Shrine. It would be there that the true terror would befall upon him but for now, he still had another problem to rid first. With his flying bugs accompanying him this time, Alex stepped through the low fog which cloaked the area of Majestic Grove. Even if it currently didn't look or feel all that majestic, without the fog, this area was usually scattered with tall, thin trees which allowed a lot light to flow down from over head. The ground was scattered with crunchy, dry leaves making every step Alex made crunch sharply.
But there was no time to play with the leaves as yet another spirit had locked onto it's target of Alex. It had felt for a while that the power of the evil spirits had been dwindling. Apart from the useless wood cutter boy in the far distance, currently, Alex was the only other human life this creature could sense, automatically making him the culprit. A mysterious cackle echoing around him, right before Alex's eyes the shape of a Gastly merged out from the purple haze and into the air before him. Sporting a large, wicked grin and piercing stare, the Gastly let out one last cackle. This time, Alex would be brought to an end and both him and his Pokemon's souls would be devoured!

With a couple slain ghosts behind him, Alex and his team of Pokemon had been effective at ghost busting the evils in the forest. Though honestly, he just thought that the ghost Pokemon were normal like other ghost Pokemon. Maybe they were just misguided or mischievous or had miscommunication? Anyways, still holding onto the Chikorita, Alex continued on his quest to find the mysterious valley in the middle of a forest. How long had it been since he started this quest anyways? What time was it right now anyways? So many questions, but so little energy and time to answer. -going to Eerie Wood-

-Twilight Glade-With the sick Chikorita on hand, and perhaps a day and night's worth of weariness weighing on him, Alex was hoping to finish this quest once and for all. For now, he wasn't sure where he was going, and also whether or not if it was sunrise already. There was so many uncertainty going on his head, that it even bothered the Dustox and Beautifly flying next to him. However, he was going to keep trying anyways. Even this area seemed familiar, as if he was just going around the forest in circle. He hoped that he was going somewhere. He stopped for a second to let out a loud yawn, and then continued. -Forest Shrine-

Coming from the Forest Shrine.
As they made their way to the Majestic Grove Tyler was unsure of which path to take next. He remembered hearing something about a lake but he also heard about Eerie woods as well and either one could be home to a spirit however the woods were a bit too obvious of a location thus leaving only the lake as an option. Mania could even feel something strange about it all the way from their current location. " I cannot put my paws on it but something feels amiss about that lake. I think we should head there and see what is up." As Mania had one heck of a nose and he had no reason to doubt her Tyler decided to head for the Ethereal Lake hoping to finally encounter a spirit.

OOC: Coming from the Twilight Glade. Waiting on a Spirit encounter.
IC:
Tyler had reached the Majestic Grove in hardly any time at all after dealijg with the last spirit and he looked forward to getting outnof here and getting to the shrine as soon as he could. His goal was practicality in sight as he walked along the rownof trees in the direction of the shrine. The longer he walked though the heavier the area began to feel and a thick fog rolled in out of nowhere. He could not see a foot in front of him as the fog obscured his vision. The young Chikorita began to shake knowing another spirit was out to get her and she was absolutely terrified of the very thought of encountering another one. Tyler had done a great job protecting her but even that did not make this ordeal any easier.
They thought they would finally be in the clear but there was no doubting one final roadblock remained as the group stuck close together waiting for a sign of the spirit's presence so Mania could unleash hell on earth uponnit for wasting Tyler's time. This fog trick had really gotten old by now and Tyler was livid as he called out the spirit. " What in the hell are you wasting your time for? Your buddies have all been torn apart and you are the only thing left in my way. Do you really thinkbyou stand a chance against us? If you do think that I cannot wait to give you a reality check on the situation."
Though he did not know if his provocations would attract thenspirits to him or not it felt good to get all this anger off of his chest after going through a huge number of obstacles to reach this point only for one final spirit to get in his way. One way or another he was going to reach that shrine and end the curse placed on Chikorita and he would make sure whoever was responsible for this whole plot would be punished harshly for their stupidity. Mania could hardly wait to put abother spirit down as the rest had been enough of a pain as it was. She couldnonly grow stronger from feasting on all the cannon fodder being thrown at her. It was only a matter of time before she would get the chance to do it again and her eagerness was building for the moment. This next spirit was going to have a very rough day if it dared to show its face to her.

Watching, shrouded in shadows and mist, the spirit blocking Tyler's way was not stirred to anger by the trainer's insults. Rather it watched with cold, calculating eyes, gaze drifting down to the Chikorita that accompanied him. This was its true target, and it enjoyed the fact that it could unsettle at least one of the intruders here. The rest of the grove was quiet, devoid of the typical noises of the forest's inhabitants as they had fled deeper into Ilex to escape the presence of the spirit. And thus the Gastly was little inclined to show itself quite yet and simply draw out the tension, in Chikorita's case anyways - Tyler and Mania's growing impatience and fury were amusing distractions, but they had nothing on pure terror.
Drawing out a few more long minutes, Gastly swirled its gaseous body around Chikorita in an almost affectionate caress, chuckling deeply at the reaction this provoked. Deciding it had had enough fun, Gastly drifted back away and made itself known to Tyler, appearing through the swirling fog like the fog had been given more solid form. Baring its short fangs as the Ghost-type smiled in a cheeky way, Gastly uttered a keening wail that could make the hair stand up on the necks of even the stoutest of heart - though it would probably just incite Tyler to a higher level of anger. After all, he wasn't here to play games. But Gastly knew that, knew that prodding the trainer was just too much to pass up, even if it would cost it dearly.

As the Gastly fell in defeat Tyler's path to the shrine was finally clear. Having faced an army of spirits he was so relieved that his mission was about to end. " Finally our path is clear. Those spirits were a nightmarish roadblock to us but with them out of the way we can save this Chikorita and leave this damn forest." Mania was even more pleased as she had been the one doing all of the hard work. " Tell me about it, those spirits can rot for all I care. At least that Chikorita will be useful to us. After all this work we have more than earned taking her with us."
As they stood at the edge of the Majestic Grove and looked towards the area of the shrine they were just about ready to end their mission but first off he had to have everything ready just in case anything else went wrong before they could complete their mission. Given the spirit army they had faced Tyler had a feeling something else would try and stop them at the final leg of their journey. He was glad Mania had grown a bit before they reached the shrine but he still had to keep her on guard. " Mania look sharp, I know the path to the shrine is now clear but I think something else might still go down once we reach it. Hell itself will not stop us." Höllenhund was on guard as well ready to partner up with Mania if he had to. One way or another they were going to end this mission as soon as they reached the shrine.
Right before they could get started however Chikorita suddenly started to scream at the top of it's lungs as if it was possessed. Her entire body became numb and Tyler had a feeling his hunch about things not being over yet was accurate. She had freaked out before encountering the Gastly and now she had freaked out right before heading to the shrine and Tyler could not ignore her. " Chikorita I take it you sense something else up ahead? I sure am glad I came prepared then. As easy as the rest of the spirits have been there is no telling what might greet us at the shrine once we arrive." Chikorita could still hardly move but she stopped her wailing for now. Tyler could only hope she did not start up again as they made their way to the shrine.

"Well this is a bit different." The two paused their travel for a moment to observe the area they'd broken into. A layer of dead fall was still thick this early in the year, but Majestic Grove was vibrant and open. The trees were thin, leaves not daring to grow lower on the trees due to, from the looks of it, some tree bashing. Damien grinned.
"I wonder if our resident head basher has been making his rounds through here?" the boy joked, turning his attention down to the herdier at his side. Booker simply tilted his head, one ear raised and listening to their surroundings. "Let's keep going." The ranger stepped forward through the brown of last year's fall. His bright blue eyes scanned over the lush green bushes and blooming flowers. A sudden flutter far above drew his attention higher to spot the silhouette of a bird.
Suddenly Booker huffed and let loose a short bark. The young lad instantly turned to his hound, "You got something?" His companion was nose deep in a clear patch of short grass, sniffing furiously. The herdier's head raised for a second to look around before diving back to the ground and sleuthing about some more. Damien followed close behind until they reached a dry patch. A fresh green tumble of bush branch had been snapped, dangling by the ground. It was scorched and appeared chewed lightly. "Great job boy." Damien knelt and gave his pup a few good pats before inspecting the piece closer. "Good thing this was fresh growth. A bit further back and we could have had a serious fire," he noted to no one in particular. The boy finished the job, snipping the damaged branch from the rest of the healthy plant from some scissors in his bag.
"Where'd it go Booker?" It was less a question than instruction. The herdier's tail wagged rapidly for a second before he went to work leading them along the trail.

Coming from the Forest Shrine.
After leaving the area of the shrine Kevin found himself in a rather majestic looking grove. He had not looked at the map he had in a while but before he could even take a look both Samantha and Oracle picked up on something strange up ahead. The pair ran off forcing him to try and keep up with the canine Pokemon the best he could.

Coming from the Twilight Glade.
As Kecin reached the Majestic Grove the area felt a lot heavier than his previous trek through the area. He knew yet another spirit had to be infesting the area trying to slow him down. " It figures, we are so close to our goal and yet another spirit has to get in our way. Let's look for it and defeat it as fast as we can so we can make it to the shrine. I swear these spirits are masters of picking fights at the worst possible time." He then started to look around the area trying to find the spirit. Eiskalt had not had her fill of fun yet and was looking forward to another battle.
