Special: Headbutt Tutor!  Howdy there, trainer! What brings you around here into my neck of the woods? Well, back in Azalea Town, they like to call me the 'Headbutt Man'; but you can call me Shirley! I mean Julie! I mean Julia! I mean Ken! I'm Ken and I'll be here to help you teach your Pokémon how to... to... to... Headbutt! I think!
Y'know, the folks back in Azalea, they seemed to love me too much. They sent me out here to butt all these trees. Oh, look! A tree! Do excuse me as I Headbutt it!

Did you see me headbutt that tree? DID YA? Cause what I did there was amazing! Best butting I've done in about three hours... or days... I'm not quite sure...
SO! Did you see how a Pokémon fell out of that tree I just gave my skull to? Well, that's something your Pokémon can do, too. I'll teach them! And teach you! I mean, give you a TM to teach you... your pokemon. But I only have the one so if you want to learn more I'll have to teach it right here on the spot. I love passing on my pain--I mean passion! So come by anytime.
Also, you know those times when the sky's dark and it's not day? What's that called again?... Night! Yes, at night! Sometimes, at night, the Pokémon that fall out are sleeping! Aw, they're so cute. I try to give them a huggle! In fact, I'm going to huggle one tonight!

Tumbling in from Mushroom Bank. After coming in from the steep meandering pathway from Mushroom Bank, Joe was getting slightly worried at how crumbly the path seemed to be. With a few misplaces steps, he tumbled forward and with some stroke of luck managed to regain his balance at the cost of falling down the side of the pathway. With a defiant kick of his boot into the ground, the biker slid down the side and made it to a new area. Groaning to himself, Joe shook his head. " Nearly had a bloody repeat of Pine Gap. Oh well, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice and shame on me as they say." Patting himself down from some of the grit which he had stirred up, he noticed his Pokemon had bravely followed alongside him. " With me to the ends of the earth, eh? Hahahaha!" Laughing cheerfully, Joe was feeling a little more comfortable. The uneasy feeling of eyes watching him had eased up... For now. Looking around, he noticed the vast conifer trees that surrounded him. " Man, this place has some real gargantuan trees. I bet these 'ave been growing untouched for centuries." Patting the trunk of one of the conifers, Joe stretched his arms with a click and then moved on. " Seems like this place leads only one way. Let's head off down this western slope."

Pleasantly strolling in from Fern Pass. Reaching the end of the gentle pathway down the side of a hill, Joe couldn't quite believe where he had ended up. Gone were the numerous ferns covering the lands, now replaced with towering conifer trees. " Well, looks like we're back here again." Moving forward into the myriad of trees, Joe shook his head as he came to the realisation he had once again turned back on himself. " Well, whaddya know. There's the markings I left from when I strode down the side of this hill. And this!" Patting a large conifer, he mused. " This is the same conifer I patted when I remarked about how old these must be. Grrr..." Thinking it over, Joe was starting to mentally kick himself for being so hasty in exiting Evergreen Glade. " Bah, if it wasn't so unnaturally green I may have thought things through better. Thinking about it now, given how much light there was there, it must have been near the exit. Everything else in this inner forest is so... Dull." Looking to the sky, Joe pulled a bewildered face to see no sun shining down on him. Just a faint luminescence. " Well, let's head back. I think that rock is up ahead again. I guess it was good for something after all."

Through the Woods
---[Entering from Forest Shrine]---
After a quick pass through the real-life, miniature sized Mushroom Hill Zone, Nadia's Swellow had led the young trainer to a portion of the woods that was of incredible beauty. There were magnificent pine trees all over and, though it was rather rocky around here at the same time, she did manage to find herself a dirt path to walk on. Any real path leading out of Ilex Forest straight to Goldenrod didn't exist, but then again most people drive or take a bus. Some Pokemon trainers, such as Nadia herself, do enjoy taking everything on foot. It helped her spend more time with her Pokemon and, in addition to that, it was also very good for her body. Her thighs were like rocks from hiking from New Bark Town to here.
"We're doing wonderful, Cheeky! At this pace, we should be out of here and to Goldenrod City in no t-"
THWACK!!!
Being interrupted by an unusually loud smacking sound of some kind, Nadia stopped looking up into the air and shouting to her bird and directed her gaze to the source of the most peculiar sound.
THWACK!!!
At the end of her gaze, there was this big, bald man with a blue jersey shirt on and holding a red bicycle helmet in his hand, consistently running straight into the trees head first. He was laughing to himself like one of the Three Stooges as he did so. It was like he was heabutting these things into submission and enjoying the pain he was getting from it. That was all strange in itself, but it was even more so that he'd do this and hold a bicycle helmet the whole entire time. No doubt, he's butted heads with the trees far too many times than what anyone would be willing to count.
Questioning it over and over to herself in her head, Nadia didn't want to approach this man. No normal, sane person would EVER do this kind of thing! He's got to be some kind of escaped insane asylum patient or something. Rather than get his attention, Nadia just slowly ducked behind the trees and slinked away from the scary bald guy. Doesn't care what he might have to offer, he's just too damn scary to approach.

Conifer Crest was very vast, at least that’s how it looked to Sandy. Darryl shivered and Sandy looked down at her, taking note of it. She knelt down and picked him up, opening her jacket slightly and placing her inside. Darryl began calming, her body not shaking so violently anymore. It was still cold, and the snow still littered the ground, which must have started to ware on Darryl’s paw pads.
“Don’t worry, you can stay in there if you want Darryl.” Darryl nodded and relaxed as Sandy walked on. She had to remember to get better shoes for next winter, since she could feel the cold in the soles of her shoes. Though, with nothing to do about it, she shrugged at her own thought.
“I hope that we’ll get out of here soon.” Sandy commented, patting her Sandshrew on the head. Continuing forwards, she thought she spotted something else in the distance.
“Well, let’s go see what that is.” Sandy hurried forwards, curious about what was laying off in the distance.

By the time she got out of Ilex Forest, she was going to hate the sight of trees. Even though this part of the vast forest was filled with a different type of tree, they were still damn trees. It was a pity she couldn't just ask Saphira to raze them all down, but clearly doing such a thing would land her in jail or a psycho ward at the very least.
The air here was fresh and reeked of pine. It was a nice scent though, one that helped calm her raging thoughts. Saphira inhaled as well, smiling softly as the abundant odour permeated her senses. Tanya stretched her arms and yawned, cricking her neck before looking around. Hopefully they weren't far from their destination at this point.
Her legs were beginning to get a little sore from the non-stop walking, and a break would be most welcome. "Let's just follow the footprints, Saphy, and see if they lead us to where we need to go," Tanya spoke after a few minutes, gesturing to a fairly traveled path leading out of the copse of trees.

Back to the endless trees. This time the soothing smell did nothing to ease her irritation. When she saw the end of this forest, it would be a day, or night, of celebration. She was damn tired of the solitude here as well, and wanted to hear the commotion of other humans as they went about their days. Ignoring the pain in her feet, Tanya continued on through the trees, making her way back slowly to the old hag.

Emerging from the vast field of tree's and mushrooms, Sharada and Bellatrix found themselves standing at the top of a downward slope, large ferns growing by the edges of the worn path. Thankfully though, the tall trees were allowing more prudent rays of sunlight to burst down and hit the path. It was still blocked out a mighty amount but this really did bring a cheery smile to the brunettes face. It was annoying having to stumble through the darkness the whole time. Nidoqueen also looked a bit more perked, her tensed shoulders now relaxing some as they began to cautiously begin their path down the somewhat steep slope.
"If there is more sunlight we can only hope that we're getting near the end. To be honest, we have probably missed out on so much this forest has to offer but I dont have the time nor patience to stick around. Besides, I still feel creeped by that shrine." Receiving a lone, low call from her heavy footed partner who was concentrating hard on not falling head first and looking like a complete fool, the brunette had a swift moment of wanting to return the struggling beast but decided against it incase she irritated her pride. Instead, the sound of a loud crash caught her attention, or more like caused her to jump fifty foot into the air. Bellatrix simply stood there, looking from side to side. She had picked up on another human scent a few moments before, this wasnt anything unnatural like back at the forest shrine.
Continuing her walk downward and onto a more flat surface, Sharada looked from left to right upon seeing that the path split. It seemed one way led into a deeper part of the woods whilst the other was nothing more than a small clearing. Wanting to take a closer look, she soon jumped out of her skin once again upon seeing an odd man charge out from behind a bush and furiously crash his head into a trunk. "G-G-Good heavens!!" Sharada stammered, immediately turning on the spot, pushing her hands into Bellatrix's back and ushered her to move faster, "L-Let's get away from that maniac!"

Tanya peeked around a tree, staring wide-eyed at the man who seemed to be repeatedly ramming into trees. Saphira was chortling beside her, as occasionally a Pokémon would fall on the man's head and begin to attack him for waking them from slumber. Stars could be seen slowly appearing in the orange and blue-streaked skies, urging Tanya to quickly dash out from her hiding place when the man was distracted and leave before he could hail her down and make her do the same thing.

Incoming from Mushroom bankWeee~! Capona cawed, flying from conifer to conifer tree. Virtually untouched, the trees were powerful as they were tall. If Justin were part Aipom, he wouldn't have minded climbing to the top and looking over the horizon, just to check out the rest of the forest from that perspective. The only ones who could do so though were Capona and Dayn to an extent. It was sad but probably necessary. Justin wouldn't go back to being a Honchkrow, but flying from tree to tree like Capona seemed lovely. Instead of dreaming about flying, Justin set up against a tree for a brief rest. He pulled out some water and drank some, offering some to Simba as well. He poured some of the liquid into the lions maw before clipping it shut and putting it back in the bag. He got a few good photos of Capona flying against the setting-ish sun, but with that picture... it reminded Justin to get back on the road and continue traveling. Otherwise, they weren't going to make it to Goldenrod before dark, which would be a bad thing. Off to Moss Rock |

"C'MON YOJIMBO SLOW DOWN!" Sharada's worried voice echoed amongst the tree's as the brunette continued to chase after her hungry otter. Noticing the path downward was a bit steep, Yojimbo finally allowed his head to over rule his belly and stop in his tracks, turning around and waiting for his jogging trainer to catch up. Keeling forward and catching her breath, Sharada looked down at him with a slightly annoyed expression, "Yojimbo you need to be careful. If we get separated here, you could be lost forever!" Drooping his whiskers sadly, Sharada saw he meant no trouble and knelt down to give him an understanding pat and hug. Feeling his little claws pat her shoulder, she pulled away and smiled, "C'mon, let's carry on going back to Goldenrod now. I'm getting a little hungry myself and a nice sea food dinner for us sounds even more appetising."
With a heave, she temporarily lifted up Yojimbo as they waddled down the steep path. The last time she walked this way, Bellatrix had a bit of trouble too. Nudging past the over grown ferns, Sharada eventually made it to much more solid, flat ground, placing the Dewott back down to walk again and sticking up her thumb. "There, we're all--" CRASH!! Naturally ripping off his scalchops, Yojimbo glared and protectively looked around, finding the source immediately and alerting Sharada. Her own face just blinked before turning to a look of uninterest, "That guy is STILL going?!" the brunette grumbled, causing Yojimbo to look up in confusion as if asking for answers. Shaking her hand down to him as to say put your weapons away, she shrugged, "The last time I came here he was headbutting trees. But it's good in a way, now I remember which path to take... The furthest from him." Now back to a casual stroll, the two walked down a path, one which led to Moss Rock.

Hiking in from Mushroom bankAs Tobias and his troupe arrived in to the next part of the Ilex Forest, he lowered the handkerchief from his mouth as he was genuinely amazed to see how tall some of the trees were reaching in this area. Seemingly of the conifer family, the eye patched male struggled to take his eye of them as he recalled what Charon had warned off originally when they entered the inner sanctum of the forest. " More grandeur sideshows and wonders. Nothing about this forest is normal. It's all one big trap." He noted. Shaking his head, he followed on behind Charon's trail. As they meandered their way through the forest's pathway, Tobias couldn't help but notice how this section seemed as if it had more through traffic. The pathway trail was a lot more pronounced and the choking layer of darkness was lifting. Perhaps the curse had its own limits in where it could take hold of people's souls. Stopping for a rest, he took in the rest of the sights as Charon ascertained where next to proceed. This time, the ghostly butler was drawn to a westerly direction. " We had best not be going round in circles." Grumbled Tobias as he kept track of all their directions they were taking.

Coming from the Mushroom Bank.As Marchbaby and his Pokemon followed the path the amount of mushrooms surrounding them slowly tampered off until not a single one could be seen. That being the case Marchbaby knew they were in yet another part of the Ilex Forest and this area looked to be a little more spread out but there was still no exit in sight. They noticed a rock near a large group of trees and Marchaby decided to stop at the rock for a moment to take a moments rest before continuing on with their journey. There seemed to be yet another path but there was enough space in between the trees that Marchbaby could see part of the next area of the forest. Not wanting to spend too much time in an area that did not contain the exit Marchbaby and his Pokemon began to follow the next path in hopes of finding the exit soon. Moving on to the Moss Rock.Ooc: 153 words for Nidoran egg count.

"...Besides, I don't even like beans that much!" Talking endlessly about random things, Catherine with the company of several Pokemon by this point, continued their journey through Inner Ilex. The end of the forest getting closer, they still weren't quite there yet but it didn't bother Catherine. She had very quickly learnt that the Bouffalant was a very calm and friendly Pokemon, similarly to the Eevee who chose to keep it's eyes on their surroundings yet eagerly looked to the human every now and then in order to obtain some sort of sweet treat. Parting her lips to continue on with a different story, a sudden bang and crash caused each of them to jump, Atlas immediately bursting through the tree tops and back to the ground as he turned towards the source. Eyes leering, he spotted what could only be described as a human bashing his head against a tree.
"I wonder who that is? Let's go and say hello!" Despite her urge to approach this strange individual, the Bouffalant was the one who made sure Catherine didn't stray. Using it's head to push against the back of Catherine, the slightly limping creature lead her future into the forest and in the opposite direction of the headbutter. "O-Okay! We'll go this way instead?" Even Ochu had released a vine which wrapped gently around Catherine's wrist, helping the Bouffalant by pulling her forward and leading her to the next area of the forest.

-Coming from Mushroom Bank-After probably stepping on at least twenty unfortunate mushrooms, Ethan now found himself in an area filled with coniferous trees. This forest was really strange! Like, it has a strange way of organizing itself! This time, he was actually trying not to step on pine cones, however they were really crunchy to step on and every couple steps he purposely look for one to step on. CRUNCH!........CRUNCH!........... CRUNCH!.... -going to Moss Rock-
