Route 37 Note: Pokémon levels range from 20 to 28. Out of all the routes in the Pokémon world, let alone Johto itself, Route 37 is arguably the shortest in existence. A straight narrow journey, there are surprisingly a wealth of novelties about this path. Not only boasting a special tree to interact with, a number of trainers relaxing in the rural tranquillity the area provides are also up for encounter. The route's biggest secret however is the fact that Pokémon found in the sparse patches of grass dotted along the way change depending on the time of day, meaning there is a lot more to this route than first meets the eye. Other than that, this scenic route cuts through the forest surrounding Ecruteak City and many residents of the city use it as an ideal place to gather firewood.
Apricorn Trees1. Red Apricorn 2. Blue Apricorn 3. Black Apricorn Firewood Pine Trees may be cut down along this route with a Pokemon that knows the move Cut. Please note that normally, each trainer can carry only 3 logs at a time. You must take the logs to the Azalea Town Kiln to be turned into Charcoal. However, for every Pokémon in your party, you may carry an additional log (i.e. you may carry a maximum of 9 logs). ROUTE 38 Note: Pokémon levels range from 20 to 28. On the footstep of the spiritual home that is Ecruteak, there is a real rustic sense to this route. With sprawling countrysides and idyllic scenery, this attracts visitors from all over to admire its simplistic beauty. Because of this, it's an idea to watch out for a variety of trainers angered by their view being spoiled by unsuspecting trainers exploring the paths. Nevertheless, despite all of the route's splendour, the open field is also home to a number of interesting creatures that add to Route 38's natural charm. Watch out for angered Tauros attacks mind you!
