CIANWOOD CITY
Description: A Port of Crashing Waves
On the far edge of the Johto region is a sometimes forgotten port city by the name of Cianwood. With little else going for it, living by the sea has meant that this beach side city has benefited greatly from the blue oceans surrounding it. Two other key features of this port are worth mentioning however. The first is of the popular pharmacy that has been in existence for well over 500 years. The second is the city's gym that specialises in Fighting type Pokemon and attracts enthusiasts from all over and is headed by the intimidating Chuck, who lets his fists do the talking. Recent developments to the west of the area have also made another attraction in the form of a fully fledged Safari Zone, acting as a tremendous pull for the city.Surrounding Areas:
The city has two entrances. To the east is the shore line that links up with Route 41 and takes travellers on their way to Olivine City. To the west of Cianwood is the newly built Safari Zone, offering everyone a chance to encounter rare exotic Pokemon.
Checkpoints:
The following list suggests a possible order in which Cianwood City and its surrounding areas may be explored:
- Go on a hunt in the city's Safari Zone (optional)
- Defeat Chuck and claim the Storm Badge (mandatory for progress)
- Retrace your steps to Ecruteak and negotiate Route 42 ---> Mahogany Town
Note: The minimum requirement needed to progress to Mahogany Town is the Storm Badge and one battle on Route 42.
Other Points of Interest:
- Explore the pathway of Route 47 leading to the Safari Zone
- Visit the five hundred year old established pharmacy
- Crack open boulders that originate from the north of Cianwood's mountain
Cianwood Rocks
To the north of Cianwood is a large mountain that is constantly littering the northern part of the city with a battering of rocks. What is special about these falling boulders is that it is rumoured a variety of Pokemon adapt the rocks by hollowing them out as their own private little dens or item stashes. Should a trainer have a Pokemon with the move Rock Smash, they might come across something unusual.

Special Trainers:
Special trainers are a range of NPCs that typically offer something different from the rest. Trainers are welcome to express interest in having an encounter with one of these trainers providing they leave an OOC note. Special trainers may also unexpectedly appear as an encounter.
