Tyrana and Forzo merely stared as their trainer pulled the transported Pokeballs out of the machine. The red-head simply clipped them onto her belt and grinned down at the two Pokemon infront of her. While her two fire Pokemon were joys to train and have, Rhoan couldn't help but feel the giddy excitement in her body as she held the new Pokemon. Six Pokemon were always better than two. And they were all obtained illegally. It just added to the adrenaline. Forzo? Tyrana? She said. Tyrana shot Forzo a look for, well to be frank, his name being called first. As if it was the pig's fault. Meet your new teammates.
She was going to send out the Pokemon, but instead decided to wait. Tyrana merely rolled her eyes but tagged along as the red-head exited the Pokemon Center. We'll meet all of them during training. She grinned, liking that idea better. She'd had to get somewhat attatched to a Pokemon that couldn't battle. That would just be awful. So we'll see what we come up against. Look alive, you two, don't worry. I still like ya'll. You're safe. She chuckled, before tromping through Route 30 to see what she could battle.
(Looking around Route 30 at the moment. Will switch back and forth :/ )

It was a glorious spring day like any other. The sun was beaming, the air was tranquil and route 30 was a shining example of why so many people held Cherrygrove and its surrounding areas in such a high regard... Or at least, that is what normally would have been the case had it not been the fact there was a torrential rainstorm which had decided to flood things up something fierce. The day was sodden, the sun obscured by the many black rain clouds and the route looked like a water slide. Many Pokemon were seen scurrying about from there once thought safe little burrows while others seemed to be greatly enjoying the maelstrom of rain by bopping up and down in the now overflowing ponds and turbulent seas. Numerous trainers were running backwards and forth, up and down the route as they too scurried for shelter but this time with a little more security than some easily swamped muddy dwelling. It wasn't all doom and gloom however. The torrential rain may have been the bane of their existence to the many people and Pokemon that traversed along the route but for some, those of the more aquatic persuasion, it was a gift from the heavens. One such Pokemon was a particularly endangered species which had been granted protection from the nearby authorities of Cherrygrove. Having established a preservation for the few remaining Quagsire that had once populated the majority of route 30, it meant that people were only really lucky enough to be granted chance encounters with the elusive amphibian. Speaking of lucky, it seemed Rhoan had been particularly so as out of a particularly deep patch of water off by a number of barrier rocks poked out an inquisitive albeit dopey looking face. Its smile was brass and loud as it noticed the brave hunter daring the weather. Clapping its hands together, it was glad that it wasn't the only soul out here. Maybe the two could play some fun and games. The reservation certainly wasn't offering all that much to begin with anyway. Encounter
A protected Quagsire has taken an interest in you! How do you interact with the Pokemon? Thread reserved... Or until I can get the basis down for this mini-plot. And Tyger, I understand Rhoan's bit of a Pokemon collector so it's entirely up to you how you engage with this Quagsire.

Rhoan wandered around some more, while reading up on the reservation she'd stumbled upon. Apparently, most of the Pokemon here were protected by law, a thought that made Rhoan smirk to herself. A challenge was always welcomed... A picture in the pamphlet showed a dopey looking Pokemon and it's locations around the place. Nothing was around Rhoan though, but she couldn't help but hope she'd run into one of this dumb Pokemon. Tyrana and Forzo followed behind obediently, but still wondered what new Pokemon were inside the Pokeballs on her waist.
Hmmm. Nothing's come out for a while. Rhoan growled, starting to get bored. Maybe she should go back to that old route she was on and train with the weak Pokemon... However, something caught her attention. Was it... that dopey Pokemon? Tyrana and Forzo oogled at the 'Mon, while Rhoan smirked and dug into her bag, bringing out a rope. Alright. Let's see. She released a few Pokemon. One being a Snorunt, the other being an Ekans. Uhura, Tirrika, surround it with Tyrana and Forzo. They created a square around the Quagsire, while Rhoan climbed up on the rock the Quagsire peeked out from. You better stay there, Quagsire! Forzo's voice quivered. A rope soared towards the Quagsire in an attempt to bind it so she could capture it easier. Protected Pokemon sold well!

The docile looking smile on the Quagsire faltered. Normally, it was delighted to make new friends no matter whether they were a human or Pokemon. The more the merrier was an erstwhile belief the Quagsire held but... There was something not entirely pleasant about this woman and the new arrival of her Pokemon. He couldn't quite put his fin on it but they seemed almost threatening with the greedy glint in her eye and the flanking approach of her minions. Gulping nervously, it held its arms together and backed a few motions away but realised it had met the end of the large boulder it was clambering about on. Realising that this must have been the reason why itself and the rest of its kind had been herded into this protected fortress of sorts, the newt like Pokemon suddenly felt like eating its words about how boring it was by itself. As Rhoan readied the rope, the Quagsire closed its eyes meekly. Given how tempestuous the weather was, it was difficult to see the rope soaring outwards. There was nothing wrong in the slightest with Rhoan's masterful throw nor was there anything visibly blocking the rope from making its course between her and the Quagsire and yet... The rope snagged mid air and was ripped towards and entirely different destination. Before the huntress even had a chance to double take on what had possibly gone wrong, a lone figure off to her right tugged at her rope a few more times to get her attention. Displaying what can only be described as a too smug for his own good grin, the interrupting party made themselves properly known. " It's times like this that I love m'job." Tipping up his camo-designed cap, the young man was now fully revealed. His very attire hinted at the fact he may have been a guard to this preservation zone. The only thing that was out of place was his brazenly dyed pink hair. Unravelling Rhoan's rope from his own, he tossed it back her way and shook his head disapprovingly. " Lemme guess. Thought you could poach yourself a nice rare little Quaggy, eh? Not on my watch." Holding his head up high and his hand on his chest, he seemed to be rather up himself. " I'm afraid by the power vested in me by Cherrygrove City officials... I can't let that be. No siree ma'am." Flicking his rope around, he tidily placed it back onto his holster and folded his arms while chewing the gum in his mouth. " We can deal with this in two ways. You calm down, return your Pokemon and never let me catch you waltzing around these parts no more, alright?" Dropping his folded arms, he shifted his puffy jacket to one side to reveal a whole roster of Pokeballs just spoiling for a skirmish. " ...Or, we can settle this. Like trainers." Spitting out his gum on the floor, he ripped off a Pokeball from his holster and grinned with his smug visage once more. Staring into Rhoan's eyes, he chuckled. " You don't seem like the quiet, retreating type." Sighing mockingly, he whipped forth his Pokeball, revealing a Tangela as it stood forward on the muddy path. " Medusa here'll sort y'all out." You're not alone! Quagsire Reservation Guard Morecambe has caught on to your little ploy! He sends out Tangela (Level 10) to put a stop to your intrusion. Please select a Pokemon for battle.

The rope soared perfectly toward it's course, despite not being able to see it. Rhoan smirked. Her first catch of the region and it was a legally protected Quagsire. Not bad for the Unovan... Her thoughts drifted towards how she would sell it, but they were literally tugged away with the sudden discourse of the rope. The firey red-head snarled and looked over to where the rope was, only to see what appeared to be smug person standing up for the Pokemon. Activists. Great. He started off on what appeared to sound like some sort of monologue, so Rhoan shoved her hands in her Pockets and whistled. Her Pokemon came to the base of the rock so they would be away from the boy, and of course to settle the distance enough for a Pokemon battle.
Tyrana's claws itched. She was ready to fight, and Rhoan could see the excitement boiling in her blood. Might as well settle it, eh? Rhoan smirked and rolled her eyes when the boy was done. Ya done talkin' yet? She asked, her voice probably sounding odd to a Johto inhabitant, being from Oblivia and all. The red-head crossed her arms and shook her head. Let's just get on with it. I'm notta gal of many words. Too bad, you're kinda cute, but you're in my way. She growled. Tyrana, flamethrower. She said, and the Charmander stepped forward, ready and willing to show off to her new teammates. They would have to understand who was in charge in Rhoan's Pokemon line-up anyways.

Flustered by Rhoan's comments on his somewhat cute appearance, Morecambe brushed aside his stumble and retorted back to try and level the playing field. After all, a Pokemon battle was as much a game of strength as it was a game of wits. Having seen which Pokemon the would be poacher had sent out, Morecambe couldn't help but crack a smile at her choice. " Seems like you're not a gal of much thinking either, haha." As her Tyrana waltzed forward into battle, Morecambe only had to point upwards at the torrential rain that came showering down around them. " Puttin' a Fireling out to battle in this weather..." He trailed off, with a whistle. " You're either balls to the wall crazy or just don't pay much attention to what's goin' on around ya." Clearly amping himself up for the battle, he wasted no time in ordering his odd looking creature. The way its tentacle like hair writhed around was unsettling to say the least. " We're diggin' in for the long haul! Medusa! Ingrain yourself to the ground and sit tight!" The aptly named Pokemon jumped and down a few times on the muddy flooring it had decided to make its stand on. The way it boisterously moved around was almost as if it was settling itself in for a long, tedious match. As it finally settled down, a pair of different looking vines appeared from behind its back and bore themselves into the slippery muddy patch of grass. Now firmly rooted, it appeared Morecambe nor his Pokemon were going to be going anywhere fast. " We got some front row tickets now for sure. Let's see this fire show." Placing his cap back on firmly, Morecambe looked as if he was taking every precaution necessary in case the rain wasn't going to be as dousing as he had hoped. Keeping his eyes sternly on Tyrana, the air was so thick with tension it could almost be cut with a knife. And then it happened. Tyrana breathed out a heavy unrelenting stream of fire that ushered towards her target. It was an impressive display of power but there was one problem Morecambe had forewarned. The rain. By the time it had reached Medusa, the flames were but a lick having been dampened so much that the full effect of them had been undermined. Bobbing backwards in disgust at the searing heat of the fire, the Tangela was unable to fully roll back with how ingrained its roots had become. " Poor show. Your little nipper seemed like it had promise." Becoming a lot more confident in his posture, Morecambe seemed to gleam over the fact the rain had given him a defensive cloak. " So tell me. What'cha gonna do with poor Quaggy 'ere anyway? I'm always curious as to what happens after the pilchering of one. What then?" Trainer Battle

Rhoan knew about the rain, as did Tyrana. But the stubborn lizard was insistent about battling. Rhoan knew how much asserting her dominance meant to the lizard, so she figured she'd led her fight. Even with the rain, she was still putting up quite a fight. They'd probably be here a while unless Tyrana scored a good hit, so until then Rhoan was just patiently waiting and amusing herself with the dumb words escaping the ranger's mouth. Her hair was soaked so she brushed it to the side, revealing her gnarled scar over her eye. Not trying to be dramatic. It was just damn annoying having that hair getting water in your eyes.
Hun, i've been balls to the wall crazy for a while now. You have to be for this job. Everybody's 'gainst ya, so you've just gotta take things as they come. She shrugged, letting her body fall back to lean against the rock in a comfortable position while Tyrana leaned back on her tail, copying the same stance with her arms crossed defiantly. As the boy kept talking, it stirred the girl to think. Well? What would I do with the Quaggie? She shrugged. Gotta sell for a good price somewhere. Ya'll have to have some sorta criminal syndicate around here somewhere, eh? Might help me get my foot in the door with them. That, or I could turn around and use it in battle. The possibilities don't stop at just selling. Ya gotta get creative or ya end up stalking the bottom of the barrel just waiting for something small to pop out. Something you can easily control. But where's the fun in that?
She laughed a bit and continued. Her accent still struck a dischord with the boy's foice. Besides. I didn't come here intentionally tracking down one of these dopey lookin' things. It was the first thing I saw when I got here. They way it walked up, that's not how normal Pokemon act. So I pulled out something I found on the ground that said they were protected. They gotta be protected for some reason. People want 'em, they needed a safe haven. This placeis it, but if it's guarded by the likes of you, I think I can survive. So yeah. Didn't come here with the malicious intent of taking one. Only grew the malicious intent when I saw one. She grinned. Tyrana let out a chuckle, despite the pouring rain. Tyrana, flamethrower again. Try ta put a bit more uuumph into it.

Forcing a sly grin over his face, Morecambe was dead set on trying to rattle Rhoan and more so her Pokemon than any normal person with a shred of common sense would. " Kinda funny really. You'd think your ickle lizard there would have a better time dominating Medusa 'ere over the rain but..." Glaring his eyes cockily, he finished his little jab. " Seems like the age old superiority of fire over grass ain't all its cracked up to be!" Observing her for a reaction, all he received was Rhoan flicking aside her hair due to the downpour of rain. Seeing her flick aside the lose strands almost made him instinctively brushed aside his garish pink hair. Proceeding to do so, he stopped abruptly as he noticed the incredible scar that the huntress sported. Not one to walk on eggshells about people's distinguishing features, he let out a whistle. " Pheeeeeweeee! That's one trophy y'got there. Lemme guess, one of yer exploits turned ugly?" Dropping his testy sarcastic remarks, the lake protector fell silent as he listened to what Rhoan had to say. He may have come across as bit of a smug loser but he always liked to weigh up two sides of a story. The way she spoke was so arrogant, so determined... It made something react within Morecambe. " Pah, you best not try to get all cuddly with Team Rocke-..." Stopping himself with a hand over his mouth, the young male's posture soon depressed itself as he miserably realised he had fallen for the oldest trick in the book. " I just gave that one away, huh...?" Muttering something else under his breath, he shoved aside his inopportune slip up. " Doubt you'd get the Quagsire to fight all that well anyway." Smiling knowingly, Morecambe folded his arms and had a wave of confidence pick him up. " I've been protecting these Quagsire for a good while now. They're docile as my ol' granny." Laughing at the thought of a Quagsire fighting stirred him up pretty good. " Gotta admit its gettin' kinda boring... People like you are a welcome intrusion. If I didn't get the chance to exercise some i'd get alllll flabby like." As she fully explained her modus operandi, Morecambe scratched the end of his chin and puzzled over such a whimsical way of life. To act so impulsively, it was the extreme opposite of everything he had ever stood for. His reflection was interrupted only by the rousing order Rhoan imparted to Tyrana. The way the Charmander stomped forward making small splashes on the sodden floor only served to further her wish to dominate. The heavy rain pounded down on her but despite this, she was resolute. Even the flame on the tip of her tail seemed to burn more brightly than ever despite being trickled with the annoyance that was water. " They always said a Charmander's tail is a good indicator of their life force. This oughta be interestin'." Mused Morecambe as his attention was bought back to that of the battle at hand. It was hard not to be drawn back as a scaly salamander prepared itself for a vicious onslaught. " Medusa, hang in there!" A muffled cry from the messy creature echoed out just as a relentless flame streaked forward from Tyrana's mouth. The flame was a lot more intense than the last turn as the rainfall pouring down on it began to sizzle rampantly, sending steam up in the air. Still blunted off by the rain by the time it hit Medusa, the grass monster was damaged all the same. Now in a much worse state, Morecambe had a strange glint in his eyes. " We've been pushed into a situation like this many a time. Follow through with Plan A!" Clapping his hands together, the bound Tangela leered its eyes mischievously as two vines whipped forth and wrapped themselves around Tyrana. Wasting no time in showing their purpose, a sudden glow graced the vines as it seemed to transfer the glow back to Medusa. Eventually having her fill, Morecambe let out a hearty laugh as his own Pokemon seemed to reinvigorate itself with the drained life force from Tyrana as well as the nutrients from the moist soil. " If you're not too sure, that was Mega Drain. Me and Medusa here... Let's just say we're born survivalists." Trainer Battle

Rhoan gave a little smirk that turned into a cruel grin. This fella was more interesting than she had thought! Too bad he talked too much. Most people did, it was annoying. Has anyone told you that you talk too much? Oh wait, nobody comes around here, do they? You and your Pokemon are just wash-outs stuck here in this park. Eager for some sort of companionship, or socialization. Makes me miss Oblivia more and more. She said, shoving her hand in her pockets. Her eyes narrowed with her thoughts of home, but she knew she couldn't go back.
The boy kept annoying her. Sure, the scar thing might have been a bit of a ploy to catch his attention and show her opponent that she had meant business, and she'd done stuff like this before. The memory of the fight with the Magmar made her grin. Ah, that fight. Hand caught a Magmar. Where i come from, unless you're a Ranger you don't have Pokemon. And not rangers like you. They have some sort of contraption that connects 'feelings' with a Pokemon. Heh. Worthless, if you ask me. She mused on, while Tyrana tried to wrap her head around the concept of no Pokeballs. Wild Pokemon everywhere and no battles? Sounded AWFUL!
The boy rambled on about something, but then released the name of a place. If he hadn't backtracked, Rhoan wouldn't have thought about it. Team Rocke? Rocket, eh? I think I saw a poster with a face on it. Wanted: Rocket members. Not an advertisement. Police wanted. Pretty nifty, eh? Crowd I don't wanna mingle with? Sounds fun. She smirked. Her life force was blazing, just like her fire Pokemon. Tyrana let out a little snarl and crossed her arms. Her tail blazed despite the rain. Of course it'll be interesting. Tyrana's a fighter. She smirked. Her eyes darted over to her bag, just incase she needed to bring out a potion. However, if this attack brought the Tangela's health down enough, the battle would be over in about two turns. But it would be a close one unless the rain died down.
Flamethrower again, girl. Let's try and finish this up soon. Wrap it up all nice like. She murmured. Tyrana had been attacked with the Mega Drain. Pokemon battles sure were complex! Rhoan shook her head like a dog ridding itself of a wet pelt. Water splashed everywhere, even on little Forzo. Although Rhoan didn't know much about the battles, she was still sharp enough to catch onto what happened. Oi! I may be a foreigner, but I can grasp what's goin' on. Ya know, that Tangela's pretty strong. Maybe i'll nab it off of you after we beat you into the ground.

Scratching the side of his head where his hat covered, Morecambe raised an eyebrow. " You think I talk too much? You obviously ain't seen all that many of the people from our neck of the woods." Trying to brush aside her harsh observations, Morecambe couldn't help but feel a slight resonance of truth within her words. Not wanting to admit that she was perhaps right, he fumbled what he was saying, kicking his boot into the muddy floor. Eventually growing bitter, the reserve ranger flung his hand up in despair. " I'd like to see you and try and cope with how boring it gets around here! You know, maybe I ought to just throw in my towel here and take a leaf outta your book." A small grin spreading over his lips, Morecambe quite liked the idea of such an escapade. It wasn't as if he'd be too unprepared for the adventure. After all, he had learnt to survive on mere scraps off the fat of the land and was highly experienced in using camouflage and surveillance. His aspirations soon came crashing down as he heard about Rhoan's own experiences. He wasn't too sure if he heard wrongly over the tremendous rain that was soaking their battle but it sounded like she was making up an entire region. " Oblivia?! That doesn't sound like a place. Are you trying to fob me off with some kinds of bull?" Despite his disbelief, the other things she mentioned seemed to remind him of something he had read a while back and... Well. There was her funny sounding accent. " So you got some serious balls to take on a Magmar. I can respect that but... This far off land you speak of. It sounds absolutely backwards. Bonds and feelings are tempered through adversity!" Seeing Tyrana flare a little brighter, it was exactly the sort of scenario he was referring to. He may lose, he may win but at the end of this battle he'd be a little closer to his group of friends. Morecambe's disdain would soon reach new lows as Rhoan amazingly pieced together what despicable criminal organisation he had stopped himself from saying. Figuring she would go ahead and try and established communications with them anyway, he felt it his duty to warn her not to cross with them. " Look, let's just put aside this whole poaching Quagsire issue and speak trainer to trainer. The Rockets are NO good. On one side of the coin they're a bunch of bumbling idiots who can't do anything right. The other? They're a callous bunch of criminals, extortionists and murderers. Make your bed with them and there's no helping ya!" Shaking his head, it was the first time Morecambe had ever really shown a serious side. Despite his adamant protests, Rhoan and her Charmander were still as battle ready as ever. Hearing her order another assault made Morecambe lessen his seriousness. " Fine, fine, fine. You just want to send me packing so you got a clear shut right?" Rolling his eyes, his smug expression returned. " Hate to say it but I forgot an important piece of the puzzle. I think by now you've worked out how Medusa here operates so guess what's comin' next!" Clenching his fists together excitedly, the ranger boldly ordered his move. " Medusa, make sure to Leech Seed her Tyrana good! We'll drain her until she collapses!" The mumbled cry from the overgrown creature sounded through the rain and it didn't take long for the Pokemon to close its mysterious eyes looking through the tangled weeds. Letting out a nasty cough, a sudden expulsion of seeds spat outwards and landed perfectly on Tyrana. Miraculously, they started to grow wildly and it wasn't at all long before the fire lizard was seeded as the roots coiled themselves around. " Haha! Take too long and those seeds will turn your little pet into a Tangela of your own!" He started laughing hysterically but soon shut up as a searing stream of fire emerged from the jilted Tyrana. Stepping back, his Tangela took the full force of the flames but was thankfully spared from too scorching a hit with the protective cloak of the rain. Jumping up and down from the heat of the flames, Medusa eventually calmed down as a glow from its roots along with the saplings implanted on Tyrana replenished some of the Grass type's fatigue. Rhoan gritted her teeth and rolled her eyes while it rained. Morcambe continued to speak, but Rhoan had tuned him out a while ago. The only thing she heard were the praisings, saying she had balls to take on a Magmar. A sly grin reached her face and she smirked. However, everything else he said bothered her. Heh. Oblivia is a real place. Far away from here though. I'm a pretty famous criminal in that region. They called me the Red Tiger. She smirked. I'm here to make a name for myself here as well. She admitted. So when i'm finished with you, i'll take that Quagsire and ship it out to the highest bidder, just because you're trying to stop me.
Her eyes narrowed and she shoved her hands in her pockets. She thought about giving Tyrana a potion, but she didn't want to spoil her Pokemon. The only way they got better was by not coddling. Tyrana. Keep going. Finish this now or we're going to have some problems. She warned, and Tyrana gave a nod. It was just the incentive she needed. Nobody liked a mad ginger, and Tyrana wanted to win more than anything in the world. She couldn't look weak infront of her new teammates. Her dominance had to be shown, just as Rhoan had to assert her dominace over this ranger.
Ya know, you can run away now. I won't mention you, I promise. She added with a sly smirk. She pointed towards Tangela. Tyrana gave a nod and released the flames from her mouth Despite the rain, it was still a powerful blow. If you can't take the heat... Tyrana looked tired, but it was still a good fight. Rhoan shoved her hands in her pockets while the wind blew her hair out of the way of her scar, revealing it once more. ... get out of my damn way.

Merely smirking at her threat, Morecambe stared her down but was soon taken aback by the incredible blast of heat that jettisoned from Tyrana. Previous attempts at her Flamethrower attack had yielded less than spectacular results all in thanks to the heavy downpour that was besieging the quaint little route. As if heightening the temperature of her dragon like flames, the searing flamethrower continued on without regard nor care for the debilitating rain that had affected it in rounds previous. As if evaporating before it even got near the dancing flames, the flame was certain to lay waste to Morecambe's trusty Pokemon. Lighting it up and its roots in a mighty inferno of fire, it was clear that the survival techniques that he and his Pokemon had relied on had no chance of standing up to a mighty critical blow. Unable to properly free as it was so ingrained to the ground, the Tangela let out a hideous scream as it passed into unconsciousness. " Blimey...! Medusa just got..." Falling solemn, he quickly took out his Pokeball and returned the tangled mess back into its storage as to remove it from any more pain. " You think i'm just gonna run away 'cause you got lucky? If only life were so simple." Tugging out another Pokeball from his holster, he kept it securely in his hand. " I may be bored with my lacklustre job here but that doesn't mean i'm gonna go a-runnin' with my tail between my legs. These Quagsire are pretty chill guys so i'd be lettin' them down if anything if somethin' happened to the poor lot." Twirling around the Pokeball in his hands, the protectionist seemed to be having a crisis of faith. Everything that Rhoan had said before him had been great alluring. Become famous, or infamous, in a region through your own adventuring deeds. Being dubbed a name and the whole uncertainty of it all. It was something that could lit up a spark in his life that was going nowhere. Hiding his warming up to her sort of career, he cleared his throat and clenched his Pokeball as he extended it forward. " Medusa was a ***** but let's hope you can keep up with Gex. It's tail time!" Lobbing the device forward, it exploded midair with a fantastic array of light. Unlike other Pokemon, this creature took the opportunity to go soaring through the air as it latched itself onto a nearby tree overlooking the Quagsire's den. The big boring eyes and reptilian appearance all gave way to what type of species it was. Having retrieved his composure, Morecambe folded his arms and trailed his eyes off to the Quagsire that had been in danger of snatched away at the start of the fight. " Haha! Well look at that." Happily sitting on a prominent rock feature was the Quagsire dopily clapping its fins together and smiling in enjoyment. " Looks like i'm not the only one who was gettin' bored wastin' away here. Maybe I should thank ya for the chance to put on a show for the Quaggies." Looking at Tyrana's state, the ranger grinned a sly smile of his own. " Poor Tyrana's lookin' tuckered. If this were any other circumstance i'd exploit the chance but let's say as much as I disagree with your methods I like ya. How about you swap out, eh?" While his Treecko may not have looked much, Morecambe seemed to have an unwavering confidence in his Pokemon. The ball was entirely in Rhoan's park. Trainer Battle

Rhoan let out a bit of a sigh, ending with a click of her teeth for a 'tck' sound. She wasn't sure what to do at the moment. However, she had won the first little match, with filled her with a swell of confidence. She crossed her arms and looked over the lane at the ranger, who was returning his Pokemon, or whatever. Rhoan wasn't necessarily paying attention. The quip about running away made Rhoan grin slightly. Her hands dove into her pockets to pull out Tyrana's Pokeball before crossing her arms in a defiant gesture.
Correct... If only I were that lucky.
She added with a bit of sarcasm, cold eyes assessing the situation before she could make a decision. the ranger continued on with all his talking and things, but Rhoan blamed the rain for not being able to hear him. An individual as boring as this didn't necessarily deserve her attention. The sooner she could get rid of him, the better.
You act as if they truly care. They're just Pokemon. Unless they have a common goal like my team, which is winning, there's no point. They're dumb wild animals. Animals are caught, it's a simple fact of life.
She said with a shrug, returning the reluctant Tyrana with a flash of red light. The Charmander gave a snarl of reluctance, but didn't fight her trainer's orders.
I'm way ahead of you. Offer is standing, you're more than welcome to tag along after I humorously defeat you in front of, well, me. And the Quagsire at least.
She looked over the Pokemon she had on her bandolier, and then at her hands. Who to send out? There was Hawkeye, a new addition as well, the damn little Magby... and then there was Forzo, who really needed the training. He was currently the weakest on the team. With a sigh, she let out the little Tepig.
You take too much confidence in yourself. You're not the one fighting. The Pokemon is.
She said with a grunt. Forzo gave a little tail wag and nuzzled his snout against her ankle before bouncing into the center, facing the Treeko. He looked to Rhoan for a move, where she ordered for an Ember.
Maybe the rain'll clear up soon so we can finish this even quicker.

Although he had warmed up to the idea of becoming a Pokemon hunter, there was still a fine line between them that Morecambe was never truly going to be crossing any time soon. " If you think they're just tools then you're gonna be facing a dead end soon. They're living beings just like us." Falling silent, he realised the error in his argument. " Unless of course, you treat humans like this too. What i'm sayin' is, there'll come a time where you'll be stuck in a rut and it'll be thanks to your companions, your friends to see you through." Grinning confidently, he folded his arms in a rather bold pose just as Gex did the same. " We're here for one another!" Laughing out loud, he realised the cheesiness of it all but was assured of how true it was. " Yeah, you'll probably rib on me now for bein' some kinda bleeding hearted idiot with his head in the clouds but there's plenty of times where i've prospered due to my friendship with these fellas." Watching as her next choice of Pokemon came to the fore, Morecambe cocked an eyebrow and seemed unsure of what it was. " Huh... This must be one of your native Pokemon or something, right? I ain't seen no self roasting bacon before." Despite his arrogant trash talking, he seemed to be curious of its ability having not witnessed one in battle before. " You think i'm all too confident of myself? You ain't seen how good Gex is. This guy i've had since I was a little urchin swinging from trees." Thrusting a pointed finger forward, Morecambe passionately relayed his order. " Alright Gex, let's show 'em your athletic skill. Aerial Ace!" Smirking at finally having a chance to show off some, the gecko leaped onto a branch over above its head and used its lithe agility to swing onto the next and then the next. Now soaring through the air with some unusual gliding capability, Gex observed where Forzo was standing around and then used a thrust forward of its fist to strike at the fiery porker from above. The downward momentum was effective and managed to knock the Unovan pig back a few paces. With the ball now in Rhoan and Forzo's side of the court, Morecambe shrugged and seemed hesitant on taking her up on the offer of tagging along. " I dunno. It would definitely have its perks. I mean, who wouldn't wanna follow in the footsteps of some infamous huntress and learn the ropes from the best?" Running his hand over his chin, he seemed to be thinking it over before reaching his conclusion. " No thanks. If there's anything I know, it's that you gotta learn stuff first-hand. Looks like you've earnt yourself a rival." The rain still pouring away, albeit not as intensely, it appeared the time had come for Forzo to strike. Having got over the worst of that aerial assault, the piggy forced itself to overcome the drizzling rain and summoned a hearty amount of coal that spat forward as a round of burning ember. Sizzling as it made contact with Gex, the lizard was quick to leap about in the puddles of water that had formed. " I gotta say, no wonder you got where you are today. You just don't seem to give up." Trainer Battle

Rhoan merely raised an eyebrow at the ranger's cheesiness before examining the clouds above. The rain didn't show much sign of stopping, and that really put a damper on things. The girl dug her hands into her pockets and pulled out Forzo's Pokeball, returning the little pig without a word. She then sent out the replacement Pokemon. No orange coloring or fire on the tail, thankfully. Maybe now this would help Rhoan finish this out just a wee bit quicker. When Rhoan finally wanted to talk back to the ranger, the Ekans glared over at the Treeko, readying itself for an attack from the little creature.
That's your loss. It'd be nice to have somebody who actually knew the place 'round here.
She shrugged off the ranger's rejection without sign of discontent.
I wish you the best of luck. Hopefully you won't meet anybody else like me, because if so...
She paused as the Ekans wrapped up into a tight coil, glaring over at the Treeko silently.
... those quaggies are as good as gone. Tirrika, Poison Fang.
she commanded, and the snake gave a low hiss before readying itself for the matchup.
