I noticed there was a board like this for shinies you get in the RPG, but there isn't one for ones you get in the games. Post any shinies you get on this thread, that you got without cheating. No using Action Replay, Gameshark, etc to get shinies, just ones that appeared and you got them without using those devices. I've actually never gotten a shiny yet without cheating. I can't even get my starter to be a shiny.

I actually get a creepy amount of genuine shinies when I play through games. I think my very first shiny was a Zubat in Ruby. I also replayed Crystal and got a flippin shiny Cleffa from the egg that hatches from the Day care couple (I never actually realised at first until I did a switch in/switch out battle and was all WTF). Then I've had a Shiny Gastly in Diamond from that mansion outside of Eterna City. I literally ran into it and stared at my screen for a while and screamed at Joe to catch it for me. All my Pokemon were too strong and had OHKO'ed everything else, so we waited for it to use Curse and BOOM, got it. Then my most recent one was a shiny Audino in Black, where I had been Audino-grinding and stumbled across it lol.
I'm sure I had one or two others from that Global Trading Link, thing when I got Diamond but chances are they are fake? Then I've had one or two shinies from events. I dunno, shinies dont really bother me that much. I think the only one I adore is Shiny Dratini but no matter how much I try, I've never found one and never will.  |

I have tried and tried to get a shiny Totodile in Pokemon Gold, but can't. So, ya, I know how hard it can be.
