Continuing her venture through the underground tunnel of Goldenrod City, it wasn't too much of a wait for Catherine's next opponent to make itself known. Attracted by the sound of the previous battle or through it's own means, this next battle was bound to be full of sparks. As the electric pup cut up her waltzing, Catherine found herself tripping to a halt, various zaps and crackles of electricity reflecting in her wide, emerald green eyes. Although, she hadn't stopped because she had seen the Electrike, rather, her other Pokemon had. Grabbing her by the ankle, Atlas had managed to stop the oblivious nurse just in time, otherwise she would've accidentally trampled over the wild pup. Her Musharna had also floated ever closer, protectively, but remained in her natural, dazed state. Once he was certain Catherine was no longer going to stomp forward, the Simisage released his grip from his human trainer, glancing up to see her expression filled with awe rather than upset with his actions.
"An Electrike!" She exclaimed excitedly, "Fancy seeing one of these in a dingy place like this! Such a cutey!" Though the Electrike's defensive stance and aggressive expression could hardly be classed as cute, Catherine's simple mind was a hard one to intimidate. "It sure has some spunk!" Catherine spoke with a slightly raised voice, having to almost shout her words out, over the incessant barking of the electric pup. "Let's help it release some of that pent up energy!" Feeling fully charged herself, Catherine hoped the brief pause from the previous battle meant her Pokemon of choice was ready to go once more. "Josuke! Batter up!" Pulling a lone Pokeball from her belt, Catherine gripped it tightly and pulled her arm back, throwing it forward to reveal the energetic Pancham. The small stature Pokemon eyed up his similar sized opponent. Trying not to feel too intimidated by the dog's constant current of electricity, the Pancham twirled the leaf it held in his mouth and braced himself for a fight.
Seeing both Pokemon were eager to get started, Catherine playfully punched an arm forward and gave her order. "Alright Josuke! Get right in there with a Slash attack!" Punching his arms forward and feigning the odd ducking motion, the Pancham tried to show the Electrike that he meant business. Sharp claws ready and eager on both paws, the tiny panda was ready to battle and win.

With a spring in his step of his own, Caesar the Wartortle was primed and ready for this battle. His ears twitching in the gusty winds, the turtle used his stumpy legs to close the gap between himself and his opponent. Catching the carefree Spoink by surprise, it's pleasant day was rudely interrupted as the Wartortle made his last bound, jaw becoming ajar and fangs catching the bouncing piglet in a tight, piercing grasp. Sharada's top lip twitched ever so slightly at both the sight and sound. She was used to Pokemon battling by now, she had experienced a lot on her journey. But something she couldn't get used to, was the individual reactions of each and every Pokemon both herself and her team encountered. It was never a pretty thing to see or hear and for Sharada, battling something native to the Hoenn region always felt that bit tougher. But the Spoink was tougher than it first appeared and although it's first attack resulted in nought, it was almost a relief to see it fighting back.
"The Spoink has some fight in it yet." Tenebrae noted, the illusion of a human man stood beside the brunette, folding his arms tightly. Trusting his wild senses, Sharada looked back to the fight, repeating her previous order to Caesar. "We'll see." The second round of the battle began to unfold and with it, Caesar stared his opponent square in the eye. Hopping on the spot, almost as if to unintentionally mimic the Spoink, the Wartortle was keeping on his own toes. In his eyes, the Spoink was a worthy foe, it just seemed a bit nervous, perhaps not used to battling trainers and their trained Pokemon. Especially out in this cliff side route, with how tranquil it was, it seemed unlikely that the area received an awful lot of human traffic. Still, Caesar had his orders and he too, wanted to grow stronger. Not attacking immediately, he instead called out with his battle cry; maybe that would knock some sense into the Spoink and get it to defend itself better.
Jaw ready for the biting, Caesar sunk his teeth into his opponent, weakening it tremendously but not quite finishing it off. Looking somewhat surprised that it was still awake, Sharada widened her eyes slightly, lifting her head to view the battle a bit better. Gathering up the strength, the Spoink retaliated with an attack of it's own this time, striking back with a physical attack, laced with psychic energy. Smirking, Tenebrae took note of Sharada's subtle surprise. "It is still fighting with all it's might. A worthy foe." But for Sharada, something else was plaguing her mind, as a worried expression crossed her face. "But, you can see it, right? It's bouncing is getting weaker." Together, the trio examined the Spoink and ever so slightly, one hop would look weaker than the rest. Tensing up her face, Sharada wore a frown. "Where I'm from, it's said that a Spoink can die if it stops bouncing. That... Is something I couldn't bare to see." "It is far from death. That Spoink has more than enough energy to flee--" Pausing, Tenebrae noticed Sharada begin to rummage around in her bag and with a sudden pull, her gloved hand grasped and pulled out a lone ball.
"It's best to be safe." Sharada cut in, enlarging the ball in her fingers by pressing the central button. Remaining silent, Tenebrae stood, his eyes staring directly at Sharada without any hint of subtly. The Rocket was a difficult one to grasp at times, she would often fight conflicts in her own mind but in terms of a Pokemon's safety, a slither of her gentle personality would often peep through. Looking over his shoulder, Caesar submitted and took a step out of the way as Sharada pulled her arm back and threw forward a Great Ball.
