Chance stands at around six foot and two inches tall, weighing roughly one hundred seventy-eight pounds. He has a fair skin tone thats mostly blemish free, except for a scar on his left pectoral. The scar not being anything big, just a little vertical line from a cut. Aside from that he has medium length hair of a light purple color, which he keeps dyed that color, his natural hair color being black. His hair is usually tied back into a pony tail or simply left to flow free. As well the boy's eyes are a blue color.
Clothing wise Chance usually wears a black tank-top as well as black jeans. Over top of the tank-top he can usually be seen wearing a smallish denim jacket. The jacket only covering a little bit over half of his torso length wise. His shoes aren't anything too fancy, usually just a pair of black sneaker. Not wanting to wear anything too flashy or nice that could get ruined while trekking through routes. Aside from those Chance keeps a plain regular sized black backpack on his back, after all everyone needs a place to store their items.
He has a fairly muscular body build as well, not being a complete muscle head but still being pretty well built. Despite his usual appearance Chance does dress up every now and then. Wearing a simple orange dress shirt and black dress pants, complete with a black tie, to any formal events that he would have to attend. During colder weather, or just crappy weather like rain in general, Chance switches out his denim jacket for a leather zip up hoodie. Preferring the protection of the heavier 'jacket' and its hood to the smallish jacket he's usually caught wearing.
Personality:
Chance has a tendency to be a very adventurous person, often spending days at a time wandering through the routes of the region just for the heck of it. While he tends to like being inside where its comfortable Chance does like the outdoors a lot more, preferring the fresh air and wild pokemon running around to the boredom of being inside. The boy is also pretty quick-witted, being a pretty sharp thinker, but primarily using it for insults or snappy retorts. He also has a tendency to be pretty boastful and a bit of an ego maniac. Always wanting things to revolve around him, taking each and every chance to brag that pops up for him. Which also lead him to being just a tad bit self-centered, while he still does have the capacity to care about other people, he often gets obsessed with how his own life is doing and ignores what would be going on in his friend's and families lives. Despite that he still had and still has times when he can be pretty outgoing, trying to make more and more friends, and subsequently people to brag to.
If there's anything that Chance really cares about in this world it would be money and possessions, he's extremely materialistic. Never being able to get enough possessions, thinking that the more he has the better of a person he is, and the better of a person he is the more likeable he will be. The materialistic tendencies originating from some insecurities that Chance has, those insecurities being that he wants people to care about him as much as he cares about himself. Often going out of his way to make friends but often giving himself more attention then he gives them in order to make himself seem better in their eyes. Never again wanting to be that friend that they forget about and just leave behind in the dust one day. Aside from that he also has a problem with being pretty flirtatious, often flirting with most of the girls he runs into.
History:
Chance grew up in the Unova region, Castelia city to be exact.Growing up in a pretty well off home where he was an only child. His father being a nurse in the pokemon center and his mother being a retired trainer. While they weren't stinking rich they also weren't really hurting for money or broke all the time. His parents only ever wanted on child, thinking more then one would of been too much to handle, so Chance was an only child. For at least the majority of his life that is. When he was around eleven years old his parents had another child, one they often described to Chance as "a happy accident". Which obviously meant that they didn't plan for another kid, and caused his mother to be forced to take on a job as well, working in the pokemart inside of the pokemon center in their city. Leaving Chance at home to take care of his new younger sister for most of the time, even then a family friend helped watch the new baby as well while Chance was at school.
Throughout school Chance had a pretty easy time, practically making it through without trying. Of course he studied every now and then but never too much, content with doing the bare minimum to pass. Spending most of his time talking with the other kids at school and making plenty of friends. Telling them various made up stories about his family, primarily his dad's occupation and his mom's accomplishments as a trainer. Pretending that his dad was always something better and more noteworthy then just a pokemon center nurse, and trying to pass his mom off as someone who had beaten the elite four. Which of course neither of them were, and it didn't take many of the other students to figure out that those were all just lies, stories made up to make his family seem cool. While the kids didn't start to hate Chance for making up stories or anything they however did start to trust what he said less and less, taking everything he said with a grain of salt.
For the most part nothing too big and eventful happened during Chance's childhood. He was pretty much your average child, he went to school, then went home to either do homework or run around the city with his friends. The only thing notable would be the incident with his best friend. Throughout all of his time in school Chance had one best friend, a girl named Josslyn. Josslyn Blackbourne. The two of them spent a lot of time together, Chance having plenty of sleepovers at her house and vice versa, the two seemed almost destined to be best friends. Until Josslyn disappeared on day, well at least Chance thought that she just disappeared and abandoned him, when in reality she simply had to move suddenly one day with her parents to another city. Since that day Chance's stories he made up and the things he boasted about became more elaborate and thought out, he even stuck to his stories better. Actually writing down the lies he made up in a notebook, wanting to become as important of a friend as he could for people so that he wouldn't get "abandoned" again.
Eventually he grew a bit tired of trying to build a life entirely off of lies, he had just turned 17 and still lied to people that he knew. He even went as far as not leaving his house for a few weeks to help support some story that he was going on some vacation on his own to the Kalos region to try to impress people. While he still had no problem at all with boasting about his achievements he just wanted for once to have a real achievement to brag about. The lies were getting to be too much for him, unable to separate what were just stories he had made up and forgotten about from what the actual truth was. With that idea in mind, and with his parent's blessings, Chance would leave the Unova region heading for the Johto region. Desiring to begin his own pokemon journey, and to defeat as many gym's and other trainers as possible, so that he finally had a real accomplishment.
Goals:
Currently Chance's goal is simple. To actually have something real to boast about. Whether that's defeating all the gym leaders and the elite four, kicking Team Rocket or even some Rangers around a bit or just defeating any trainer that comes his way, or just building a strong team of pokemon. Chance just wants something real to brag about.
Other Info: Making this character to replace my previous character I just don't have any desire to play them anymore. However i'd still like to hold onto the Shiny Duskull from the OR/AS event and the Minccino from the Member of the month I won. Those are the only pokemon of the previous characters I want to keep for Chance, the rest will just be sold off.
Edit: Just going to paste over the pokemon im keeping's information here, wasn't sure if it was needed. Plan to put the Minccino in the new character's box and Duskull in the part. Also changed the mention of Jay in Duskull's personality to a mention of Chance, figured that would be okay since the character Jay never actually rp'ed with the Duskull yet or ever mentioned it.

Nature/Personality: Sassy. Akemi was given to Jay by his mother who used the Minccino as help in her pokemon salon. Akemi is a sassy pokemon often getting into arguments with the rest of Jay's pokemon team. The pokemon had taken an extreme liking to Jay before he left on his adventure, and its liking continues today which is evident by the Mincinno getting angry with anyone Jay flirts with.
