Jay has black hair that slightly spikes up, with one spike being dyed a bright red. He has a tan complexion. Jay has blue eyes which don't stick out to well thanks to the red spike in his hair. Jay has a large scar going up his left arm {More on this in history}. His hair isn't too short, or too long. Jay has relatively normal sized hands and feet.
Gigantic Orange Backpack, where for art thou Gigantic Orange Backpack, Oh your on Jay's back as always. Jay usually wears shirts that are relatively the same, except for the color strip on his collar and sleeve. When it gets colder out Jay also has a Black pull over jacket that is stored inside the Gigantic Orange Backpack. All of Jay's pants are the same color though, the most vibrant, and fantastic color ever....Gray
. Unlike most Trainers whose pokeballs are stored on their belts, Jay's are clipped onto the Gigantic Orange Backpack for safe keeping. Instead of wearing shoes to help traveling {Like most people with common sense} Jay prefers to run around in a pair of gray sandals. Jay also keeps a white piece of cloth which he wraps around the scar to hide it when ever he feels nervous about it.Personality:
Even from a young age Jay Swanson was a very brave kid, even running away at one point to become a trainer when he wasn't allowed to become one. Jay is also very hyper active, clumsy, curious, and determined. What Jay isn't is careful, long tempered [has a short temper], he isn't good at saving his money either. He also doesn't think before acting, often messing up his first few attempts at something. Jay is very timid. Also he is shy at first around people he hasn't met or heard of before, but after a small conversation he can open up to them.
Jay dislikes the heat, rock pokemon [He thinks their stupid and useless], and things that cannot fit into the Gigantic Orange Backpack {which isnt a lot}. Jay likes, Grass and Electric pokemon, Sour foods, the cold, and his Gigantic Orange Backpack. Pretty much his only strengths are, He is coordinated with his pokemon, being brave [cant tell if its courage or stupidity any more xD], and the Gigantic Orange Backpack. He has many weaknesses, some being; he's clumsy, not that bright, the Gigantic Oragne Backpack slows him down, and he's often broke. If Jay had to choose a favorite pokemon it would have to be a tie between Nidoking and Joltik. The item that is the most precious to Jay is his Gigantic Orange Backpack.
History:
"Its a girl! Wait no nevermind...." Were the first words Jay's parents ever said to him. Jay's parents had been hoping for a little girl that they could raise up into the world's best pokemon.....stylist??? Yep Jay's parents wanted him to grow up to only groom pokemon, not raise them. So when Jay actually came out as a boy and not a girl his mother's dreams of him becoming a pokemon stylist were crushed. Unless she could find a way to make her son want to groom pokemon for life...which she couldn't. Eventually Jay's father was able to make him mother, lawanda, stop pressuring him into becoming a pokemon groomer.
Ahh the infamous scar on Jay's arm time to cover that. Since Jay wouldn't become a Stylist, his mother refused to let him become a trainer. So one day Jay befriended a Gastly (Which were pretty common around Saffron thanks to Sabrina) and JAy set out with the gastly to become a trainer. The first pokemon Jay found was a scyther. Bet you can tell where this is going now, or not. Jay decided to battle the Scyther with his Gastly pal, hoping to catch the Scyther. Instead of catching the Scyther, the Scyther ended up slashing Jay's left arm open. Causing him to flee away from the Scyther and the Gastly and back home to get his arm checked up. After some stitches and his Father's Hypno's Hypnosis to keep Jay asleep he was good as new...except for his newly found fear of Scythers.
Five years after his accident with the Scyther Jay's Father, Colonel Johnson, tried to convince his wife that they're now 17 year old son is responsible to be a trainer. Of course her answers was "HEEEEEELLL NO" obviously still angry that Jay wouldn't become a Pokemon Stylist. So Colonel Johnson (He wasn't in the army, just liked the name colonel) decided who better to ask how to convince his wife to let their son become a trainer than the Saffron Gym Leader Sabrina. Sabrina refused to become involved with their family's problems at first, saying that "She didn't want to meddle in family affairs.". But once Sabrina found out that their son was the kid who ran away a few years ago to become a trainer, only to be attacked by Scyther, she happily obliged to help. So after much pleading From Jay, his father, and a rousing slideshow by Sabrina on how become a trainer could benefit Jay, Lawanda finally allowed Jay to set off to become a trainer. Can you guess what the first thing he received for his journey was? You guessed it the magnificent Gigantic Orange Backpack. And now Jay is on his way to new adventures, with his first true partner, Bulbasaur.
Goals:
To one day beat the pokemon league, in order to become a gym leader.
