"Whoa, that was powerful hit, Monroe! One more Peck should do the trick!" Platinum yelled out to her Piplup, who is on the "battlefield" facing off against a Wild Caterpie. The azure penguin-like Pokémon nodded her head before poking out her chest in a prideful manner as she started to build up energy within her sharp beak. Within seconds, the Piplup's beak became engulfed in a white light as it increased in size before rushing towards the emerald-hued caterpillar. The Caterpie let out a loud cry as Monroe's beak pecked at its body a few times before delivering an even powerful blow with its beak, sending the poor Bug-Type soaring high in the air before crashing into a tree in the distance. "Ah! We did it!" Platinum cheered rushing over to pick up her Pokémon to celebrate their victory.
After the quick celebration between Platinum and her Pokémon, the young female trainer soon found herself coming back to reality. "Oh no, oh no! We were supposed to be back at the Pokémon Center before the sundown!" She sighed, face palming herself. She could not believe that she allowed herself to get to carry away with training that she failed to realize that it was "Welp, we should probably make it back before it gets even later," she added, slowly walking off with Monroe still between her arms. It was not long before Platinum and Monroe would feel themselves becoming surrounded by a rather thick mist. "Not only is it dark, now we have to fight through this! I can barely see anything!" She hissed underneath her breath a bit. In the near distance, she would hear the sound of footsteps approaching her and her Pokémon. "Uhh...Hello?" She called out, turning her body towards the direction of the noise.

I was quite foggy, and Samuel was sure he was lost. It was getting pretty dark, too. I should really get to Cherrygrove soon, Samuel grimaced. He could barely see much of anything, so he was basically relying on his sense of hearing. Suddenly, he heard someone yell out a “Hello?”. He turned around and saw another trainer. It was hard to make out her details, as the mist was very thick. “Hi!” said Samuel. “Do you know which direction Cherrygrove City is?” He had noticed that she looked as lost as he did, so he didn’t expect much of a response.

Platinum almost jumped out of her skin after hearing an unfamiliar face respond back to her previous greeting without thinking too much about it, she accidently squeezed the Piplup inside of her arm a little too tight. Monroe flailed her tiny arms about before firing an array of bubbles at the other trainer's feet. Luckily, her aim was not perfect in the mist and could not cause him any harm. "Monroe! Calm down!" She told her Pokémon, gently squeezing her for comfort this time as she attempted to make out the silhouette of the other person approaching them. "Sorry about that, Monroe was a little startled by you! Hopefully, she didn't cause any harm," Platinum spoke out to the other trianer as she carefully walked a little closer towards him to get a better view. "I'm sorry. I can't really help you out. You see... We're kinda lost, too. If it wasn't for this mist then we would be able to lead you to Cherrygrove City," she sighed a bit.
"My name is Platinum by the way," she introduced herself with a welcoming smile spread across her lips. "Since we are both lost right now, maybe we could travel together for a bit until we make it to Cherrygrove City?" She asked, waiting for his response. It would be less frightening if she had someone else accompany her through the dark and misty woods.

"I'm Samuel. Nice to meet you," said Samuel. "Yes, I think it would be better for us to travel together than for us to travel alone, especially in this weather." The mist was getting thicker, and it was becoming darker by the minute. "We're gonna need light to navigate, though." ________________________________________________________________________________________________ (OOC: Samuel releases Chad{Charmander} from the PokéBall) Pokemon team: Charmander, Hoppip, Sentret(If chronology is set after " The Beginning of the Grand Quest")

Platinum nodded her head and smiled back at Samuel after he introduced himself to her return. "Pleasure to meet you, Samuel," she replied, extending her hand out for a friendly handshake. "Awesome! We should be able to find a way out here if we work together. Two heads are always better than one!" She replied with a couple of soft giggles trailing behind her words. However, her warm smile and soft giggles would some come to halt as the eerie mist around them started to become even thicker than before. "Awwm it's a Charmander! It's so cute!" She stated with excitement as she took out her soft pink Pokedex and pointed it towards the fire lizard. "Charmander... The Lizard Pokémon... The fire on the tip of its tail is a measure of its life. If the Pokémon is healthy, its tail burns intensely." The device spoke out to Platinum, sharing its knowledge with her. "Oh! I have a Pokémon that can help light the way, too!" Without any hesitation, Platinum would grab one of her Poke Balls and release Brenton from it. The fire horse Pokémon let out a soft "neigh" before walking over to greet his trainer. "Good to see you, too, Brent. We're going to need your help along with Charmander to help lead us out of this mist and to Cherrygrove City," she explained to the Ponyta. Brenton nodded his before walking next to the other Fire-type Pokémon. "So, Samuel... Where are you from?" She asked, sparking up a small conversation as the two of them walked along the path. Monroe keeping a watchful eye on the male trainer.

“Oh, I’m from Ecruteak,” said Samuel. “What about you?” This was one of the first trainers Samuel had met during his Pokemon journey, so he wanted the interaction to not just be something he would forget the next day. Chad kept walking, making sure not to stray into tall grass, as a wild battle in the dark and hazy forest would not go well.

"So, you're a native to the Johto Region. That is pretty cool, Samuel. I am from the Sinnoh Region. I decided to travel to the Johto Region to start my journey as a Pokémon Trainer here. I guess you can say that it is kind of a test to prove to my family that I am no longer a kid anymore and that I know how to take care of myself," she added. "Are you a Pokémon Trainer, too? She questioned. Although he does have a Pokémon, it does not necessarily mean that he wants to take on gym challenges or the Elite Four. He could be more interested in becoming a Coordinator or Breeder.
Eventually, Monroe decided to leap from her trainer's arms and waddled towards the Fire-type Pokémon. Despite not being able to assist with lighting the way, Monroe still felt the need to try to help lead them back to Cherrygrove. Platinum simply shook her head and laughed at her Pokémon's action as the azure penguin waddled from side to side with her chest lifted up and her beak held high in the air.
