For those of you who weren't aware, we were running this competition unannounced this month and it was open to all non-staff members. All the staff members voted based on the following criteria:
- Quality of posts
- Contribution to the site
- Good knowledge of Pokemon
- Helping others where possible
- Activity
Joey was judged just about unanimously as the winner. I'd personally like to congratulate you on a great effort this month and you are a most deserving winner. Your creativity and originality in your roleplaying has been fun and entertaining to read. You are an active participant to this site and have started a lot of threads in the General Discussion area and have demonstrated your wealth of Pokemon knowledge on numerous occassions.

I selected the winner of this competition myself for who I thought was the hardest working and most helpful staff member for this month. I believe that Phoenix has set a benchmark for all the other mods in terms of modding people's journeys. He is both fast at modding but also accurate and prepared to test new ideas and boundaries. His post count itself is a reflection of the amount of effort that he has put in. Not only that, he is extremely active and I must admit, more so than me. Furthermore, he's been helpful and patient with other members in the cbox and he also handled an incident very diplomatically with one of our former affiliates which demonstrates his abilities as an agent and representative of Zapdoszulu.
Although it was my decision in the end, all the recommendations that I've received from the other staff for this competition have all been to Phoenix. This shows that he gets along well with the other members of this site and that others have recognised his diligence and expertise as well.
Finally, I'd like to make a few honourable mentions to the other staff that have worked hard this month. So in no particular order, I'd like to say a big thank you to:
Alice ~ For helping me develop a lot of the new rules and ideas on this site. Without her, I don't think we would have included Group Roleplaying to this site as soon as we did and some aspects of the rp would definitely be lacking. She is also another active member who participates in discussions and willingly helps other members with coding and graphics as well.
Morrigan ~ Thank you for your graphics work. Because of her, we have an awesome affiliate button and the Zapdoszulu banner which we use in our ads. I also love the ideas that she comes up with and her creativity is second to none. Even in her modding, she finds ways to be creative and her moderating technique is unique and a delight for me and other members to read. Overall, she is a very enthusiastic and cheerful staff member and has a wonderful personality.
Last but not least, I'd like to thank to:
Black Unicorn ~ It is a big responsibility being a co-admin of this site and she has handled it extremely well. When I first made the decision to promote her, I already knew a bit about her personality from back in 2007-2008 and this last month or so has completely convinced me that my decision was a correct one. She has always taken a modest and rational approach to any difficult decision that she has had to make so far. I remember very early in this site's development when I was absent for a few days, she helped keep the forum going by helping other members and also helped keep threads on topic. She is always polite and considerate towards other members and has been the model staff member in that respect. She is also in charge of the Game Corner and has also helped chip in whenever I've needed things done.
All the staff have been very helpful and diligent and it has truly been an honour working with you all.
