"Heh, you are so pathetic!" a boyish voice came scoffing from seemingly nowhere, though it was actually behind Aglaia. A red haired boy in stylish dark colored coat with red color riding the edge of the coat appeared. His face was young and healthy, but it was unfriendly to look at. He looked at Aglaia with his stern face and judgmental eyes, rolling his eyes top to bottom, looking at the Bulbasaur and the Weedle. He made a disgusted facial expression. "Oh, look at you. A squishy Weedle and a salad. Why don't you just hand over your money and we can skip the battle?" he snickered as he made snide comments on the girl's Pokemon. He then added even more insult to infuriate the girl, or attempt to infuriate her. " You. Weren't you that talkative new trainer from New Bark Town? I'm surprised you didn't cry and give up on being a trainer yet." He grabbed a Pokeball from his pants and casually tossed it up in the air. The sphere, then, casually fell onto the ground. After the flash of light, a Zubat was revealed. The flying Pokemon fluttered next to him. "We should make this quick. Zubat, don't disappoint me!"
Silver challenged Aglaia to a battle! He sent out his Level 6 Zubat! OOC: um, i dont know if i should update ur party and ur box or u do it urself.

Aglaia jumped bu surprise when a voice scoffed at her, not being friendly at all. She had no idea of where it came from, until Wystan turned on her shoulder and glared backwards. "Oh, it's you." She said as she recognized the red haired boy. After all, he was the only trainer she had met, beside the crazy Ranger who had accused her for all sorts of things. "A battle?" She asked hesitantely, while her weedle more or less jumped straight to the ground, and placed himself in between his trainer and the possible threat in front of him. Not that he was very impressive down there, and it would be easy for anyone to just over him.
"Who is that!?" He hizzed at Saury, who had slunked behind Aglaia's legs and partly hid from the mean trainer. "And why are you hiding?? Weren't you supposed to defend your trainer?" He scolded the bulbasaur who just looked away ashamed. "I will defend her if it is necessary, but I don't like that trainer." Saury answered quietly, and continued when he saw Wystan was waiting for an answer. "He was the first trainer she met, and she tried to learn from him how to be a trainer..." He glanced worried at Silver. "He told her to kick us, and be really mean to us, or else we would turn against her, when we evolved..."
Wystan stared in disbelief at the bulbasaur. That explained everything! Or perhaps not everything, but a lot about Aglaia and her fear at least. "Weedle, weeee!""I'll make you pay for that!" He shouted threateningly at Silver and shot a serie of poison needles at the flying bat.
Aglaia wondered if she should protest that her pokemon wasn't salat and squishy, but wasn't sure if he was right. Wystan was a bug and rather soft to the touch, while Saury really was a plant... "I am that trainer.." She answered hesitantely and agreed with herself, she didn't need to tell him, she had cried both before and after she met him. Things weren't always that funny, but hopefully the things he had told wasn't as bad at they sounded, since if they were, she hadn't experienced the worst yet!

Silver and his Zubat moved away from the poison sting when the Weedle fired them, and thankfully none of them were hit. "Hey, watch where your squishy is firing! Zubat, use Supersonic!"After hearing an order, the obedient Zubat flew right in front of the Weedle, and prepared for an attack. Before it attacked though, it muttered something to the Weedle, "You know, if you're trying to aim for my trainer, you need to try harder..."Then, the Zubat's mouth opened and a strange sound wave could be heard from both sides, but Silver just shrugged it aside, since he had been hearing that ever since he caught that Zubat. Once the Supersonic ended, the Weedle's head was swaying slightly, as if he was dizzy or nauseating. While concentrating himself, Wystan finally got a hold of himself briefly, and fired three poison sting directly at the Zubat, at close range. Being a poison type itself, the Zubat took little damage from the hit. "Really? Is this all you've got? My Zubat will crush your pathetic worm," the red haired boy taunted Aglaia.

"Wystan! Behave yourself!" Agalai exclaimed when her weedle chose to partly attack Silver too. She couldn't allow that, who knew what would happen, if other trainers believed she didn't care about other trainers safety? Then what would other trainers allow their pokemon to do against her? Aglaia didn't dare to think that thought to the end.
Saury stared in shock as Wystan had been close to attacking the human, which was against everything he had been taught. "What? What is the problem?" Wystan asked and glanced annoyed at Saury, who could only say the weedle couldn't bee attacking a human, though he couldn't explain why.
"See!?" Wystan exclaimed to Saury at the zubat's quiet comment, though Saury couldn't hear it and just shook his head nervously.
The strange sound rolled through the weedle's head and made him see double, and made it difficult for him to keep his balance. The zubat apparently believed that would keep him from attacking, or just mess up his aim so much he would miss. But Wystan determination kept his thoughts rather clear even though all his other senses were messed up. He shook his head several time, but as it didn't clear it, he chose to try shoot where the zubat had been before it had howled at him. From what he could see, it hadn't done anything to move to another place, and he hoped it meant it was still at the same place, instead of where his eyes tried to tell him. He was correct.
He didn't get time to do anything else, as Aglaia quikly called him back. This was too chaotic and she felt embarrased on how little control she had of her own pokemon. Wasn't she supposed to be in charge here? She took a deep breath and thought on how she could save the situation. She looked at the zubat and wished to look it up in her pokedex, but she felt that would be embarassing too, to show how little she knew. She looked closer at it and decided it had to be a flying type, which meant the pokemon she would prefer to use at the moment, Saury, was out of the question. She went back and forth of her other pokemon, of which one she was least scared off, which would be Paloma, though she had no control of her either.
Aglaia ended with Alter, because he with his shiny status could show she had more than a weak weedle. She hoped too, he could hide from the soundwaves under ground. "I got other things, like this one." She said friendly and called out the diglett.
It was a sad looking diglett that appeared. It spotted the other trainer and his pokemon and sighed. This was what his life had become, an endles serie of battles. He waited for Aglaia's command, which she gave a bit surprised, since he had been charging her all other times she had had him out. "Go scratch it." She told him gently, as she feared to awaken his anger. She hid her disappointment when he disappeared below ground, what should she do now?
She didn't have anything to fear though, as the gorund started to rumble and what looked like half a dirt geyser and half a soil volcano raised in the middle of the street right below the zubat. As soon as the top got close enough for Alter, he popped out and tried to scratch it as ordered. Aglaia quickly closed her gaping mouth and looked confidently at Silver with an raised eyebrown. What would he say about that?

Silver fit one hand in his pants's pocket as he tapped one of his legs. He looked as if impatient for Aglaia's Pokemon switching and delaying the inevitable defeat, where she could be crying and handing him sweet money. When he finally notice the different coloration on the Diglett, he commented defensively, as if sounding jealous, "Hmph, having a shiny Pokemon isn't going to raise your chance to win this time! Zubat, Leech life!"Just as Alter came up beneath the Zubat, the flying Pokemon dodged the hit, and swooped down to bite on the Diglett. The Diglett closed his eyes as if expecting a lot of pain, but then the Zubat didn't have a big mouth or a lot of teeth. The pain was minimal. He opened his eyes as if nothing had happened. Then, the mole took the opportunity of the close distance and swiped at the blind bat. The Zubat reacted in pain as it fluttered frantically, trying to balance in the air. The ground type was hurrying his exit strategy and began digging quickly. "Don't let it get away! Leech Life again!" the impatient Silver yelled, and the Zubat fluttered swiftly, managed a quick bite on the Diglett's back. After that, the ground had another hole where the Diglett disappeared. The Zubat hovered in the air, turning its head left and right, honing its ears to detect where the Diglett might be hiding. Silver looked a bit frustrated, because he knew that he would be losing if the Diglett just hit and run. He shouted at Aglaia loudly, "Why don't you tell your special Diglett to stay on the ground? This trick isn't going to help you!" And that was his bluffing, since there was no rule in Pokemon battle against this. Next, he grunted at his Zubat, "You. Zubat. You better pay attention where the Diglett is hiding."

"This time." That was right, she had won against him the last time they had met, and perhaps a shiny wouldn't win it all for her, but she still enjoyed showing him off. She was sure Silver would have plenty of pokemon with him, since she herself has already got a full team, if she counted the boxes mudkip. She smugly enjoyed his defensively comment as she was quite sure he was envious of her rare pokemon, and she saw no reason to tell him how she had got it.
"Of course it is not enough with a shiny pokemon to win a battle. To find a shiny requires luck, to win a battle requires skill and training." She said politely to him. She wasn't sure she was going to win this battle at all, as she expected Silver to have just as many pokemon as herself, and as Wystan wasn't to much help, she would probably get into trouble later on. But it would be a fine way to get back on his proudness without directly confrontating him and start an argument. "If I can deal with him, while knowing this less about battles, I can deal with any difficult customer I should ever encounter!" She thought determined and that became her goal for this fight.
She pretended to be surprised. "Oh I'm sorry if my diglett take advantages of its typing, but I fear it can't get on the ground at all! I haven't seen it out, so perhaps you can tell me how?" She asked as she actually was curious on how the rest of the diglett looked, and didn't know herself how to get it up. She was going to take everything he said with a grain of salt, but as she still knew so little about pokemon, she would not discard all he had said. Perhaps there were some truth in it, or he had hid some real gold in a lot of crap just to make it more difficult for her.
She wasn't sure if Alter could hear her at all, down there, so she tried to avoid looking stupid by giving him orders he couldn't hear. Instead she talked with Silver to waste some time. "By the way, if it isn't going to help my diglett to dig himself down, then why is it a problem?"
For Alter everything was quiet and he started to wonder if they had all left and forgotten him, so he chose to caregully to pop up from the ground to take a look. "Alter, Good you can hear me now! Go give it another scratch attack." Aglaia blabbered unecessary long and gave Silver and Zubat plenty of time to react.

"Well then, I hope your training and luck pays off. Zubat, Supersonic!" Silver ordered his Zubat to use this move again, the same move that made Aglaia returning her Wystan. The Zubat opened his mouth (or had it been open forever?) and emitted an eerily annoying sound, and that noise made Alter's head spun internally. The Diglett finally got out of the ground, moving without much of coordination, stumbling and struggling to get out of the ground... Except that no one had ever seen it out of the ground. Even by being confused, the Diglett's feet seemed to be planted on the ground. In its own confusion, he managed to smack his head on a hard rock that happened to be nearby. Silver was watching this, amused that his Pokemon's supersonic works, to which he replied, "I guess even a confused Diglett won't show himself out of the ground, ahaha. Sorry, I tried."And with that successful supersonic, his mood was lightened up again, as the battle was in his favor this time.

Aglaia blinked surprised a few times, what training? She had only said it was required to win battles, but since she hadn't really focused on training she didn't expected to win either. Her goal for this battle was to learn more she could actualy use for something, like enduring idiotic customers and learn how to make tactics in battles, since she wouldn't avoid that for a long time. She didn't believed in winning by luck either, as stumbling across a shiny just she had done, she would have used more than her fair share. If she wanted her dream to come true, she had to work for it, which was what she prefered anyway. The chance of her shop going bankrupt would be much bigger if she started it by luck instead of making a solid fundament to built on.
She flinched when the zubat screamed and she promised herself never to get one of those. Her ears wouldn't survive that. As soon as it was gone she looked worried at Alter, who somehow managed to smack his own head down into the ground. That sound of zubat was some dangerous stuff, but she didn't know what to do about it, and she still prefered to avoid looking it up in the pokedex.
She clenched her jaws as Silver laughted at her. "Calm down Aglaia, remember to be polite. If you argue with customers, they just get more angry and everything goes wrong. Be polite, no matter how big a jerk he is." She thought and managed to plaster a smile on her face. "That was a nice try, thank you." She said politely and wished him down in hell.
"Hopefully he can snap out of it and hear what I'm saying." She thought, since recalling him immediately would be too embarrassing too. "Alter, give it another scratch." She said out loud. Now there was nothing else to do than wait and see what happened, which hopefully could teach her what she could do in those situations.

The boy's red eyebrows shot into his puffy hairline as she... thanked him? Was this girl touched in the head? And she did it... with a smile? ...People in Johto just keep getting weirder and weirder. The boy expected her to recall the Pokemon. That's what most people he'd battled had done and, to him, it was the right choice. After all, a Pokemon who couldn't tell the difference between its enemy to its ally to itself was a liability in battle. However, she didn't. “Fool, don't you know that the move'll miss again?” he barked, rolling his eyes at what he saw as a useless attempt to remain in the battle. “Why not remove that liab-”The Diglett managed to clear his head enough that he vanished beneath the ground. No tunnel or anything showed where he was, until his head suddenly popped out of the ground, a tiny claw slashing at Zubat. The bat, who hadn't sensed him coming, was unable to dodge in time, and got a shiny new scratch on his wing. “Leech Life!” Zubat took advantage of the close-corners and bit into Diglett like a juicy hot dog. Energy transferred, and he let go, allowing the shiny to vanish beneath ground.

Aglaia barely managed to keep up her polite smile when Silver called her a fool and said she should have recalled Alter. She had thought about it, but she couldn't continue to recall them every time the zubat hit them with its screaming. She would run out of pokemon and then what? It became much easier to smile when Alter apparently had shrugged it off and was ready to battle again. "So a zubat's screaming can make my pokemon lose an attack. That isn't very effective I think, it doesn't change much other than delay it all a bit." Aglaia thought and relaxed even more as her diglett didn't seemed much bothered by the biting. "And he is rather tough skinned too."
She thought about if it would calm Silver down if she thanked him for learning her about this move and getting Alter to attack his pokemon again, but she decided against it. She wouldn't get anything from it, and it could give problems if the customer thought he or she was much better than the sales clerk.
"Why should I remove him, when he is doing just fine?" She asked him calmly. "Are you afraid of loosing to him?" She was tempted to add, but that would surely only make it worse.
"Alter, scratch it again." She ordered. Perhaps she could actually win the battle against the bat? She still didn't expected to win it all, but it would be a nice confident boost, if she could do just some of it right and it looked like she was on the right path with Alter at the moment.

This challenger was probably either the most polite and patient person in this world who can ignore or who is immune to Silver's insult, or this person was hit in the head as a child and cannot comprehend that she was insulted by Silver's teenage insults. Whatever the case was, Silver was going to finish this battle and earn some easy Pokedollar for winning the battle with his weakling Pokemon. "Alright then, it's your choice if you don't want to return your mole. Zubat, Leech life!" the opponent ordered his winged Pokemon. The Zubat was fluttering swiftly toward the Diglett, hoping for an easy sip of blood. However, when it was about to get close, Atler awoke from his confusion! The Diglett shook his head energetically, shaking off that eerie brain-melting sound waves earlier, and his eyes opened with enlightenment. The ground type scratched his claws on the Zubat's body. The purple Pokemon felt the pain, but struggled and turned around for a quick Leech Life. That didn't do much for the Diglett or the Zubat, though. Silver grunted as he saw how the Diglett recovers. Oh great, his Zubat weakling is going down soon, he thought.

Aglaia blinked a few times. Of course it was her own choice, it was her pokemon and shouldn't he just be happy if it gave him the victory? "What is he trying to do? Is it really best for me to recall Alter, or is he just trying to confuse me?" Aglaia thought as she did her best to keep a poker face. "Which he is succeeding pretty well with." She thought wryly and decided to just see what happened. She was pretty sure to lose anyway.
She was pretty content with Silver actually shutting up, which would make it much easier for her to concentrate and it confirmed what she had been taught about angry and unpleasant customers "Alter, scratch it again!" She ordered and started to worry if it became too predictable, what if Silver tried to lull her into some bored state where he could then take her by surprise? But what else could she do now, other than switching pokemon again which he clearly had wanted her to do earlier. No, she had to continye and then she had to look up, what her pokemon could do and figure out how the attacks worked, so she could make proper tactics instead of this annoying guessing!
She looked closer at Alter and frowned. Didn't he look like he was slower than usualy? Like all his movement were hindered for some reason, like... like he was tired!

Even though Aglaia was worrying about her Pokemon's move being predictable, Silver was also wondering if his weak Zubat with not even four moves would be predictable too. Either way, since both Pokemon were low on their health, this next round would determine the victor of the mole and bat struggle. "Zubat, go for another Leech Life!" or that was what Silver hoped his Zubat would do before it pass out, as he could see the fatigue building in both Pokemon. Just was the Zubat was swooping down for the last attempt to hold itself in the battle longer with the measly leech life, Alter was also timing himself to scratch the Zubat as Aglaia had said. In three... Two... One... The Zubat collapsed right in front of the Diglett, as it was just wasn't trained as good as the Diglett. It was just a bit too slow to make a move first. "Tch, you're lucky the confusion didn't hurt your Pokemon too much this time." he scoffed, trying to protect his dignity. He then returned the fainted Zubat and replaced it with another Pokemon of his, "You better do your best, Cyndaquil!"Out from the Pokeball, the flying rodent was replaced with a burning rodent, with flames poking out on the mouse's back. The mouse squeaked nervously at the rude comment.
Wystan gained 1 level for participation! Now level 9! Would you like to evolve Wystan to Kakuna? Diglett gained 2 levels for winning! Now level 13! He wants to learn Mud-Slap, should he forget a move to learn Mud-Slap? Silver is not done! He sent out his (Level 12) Cyndaquil!

To Aglaia's surprise Alter was the one standing when the round ended, or standing was perhaps too strong a word since the diglett looked more like it lay down than stood. Aglaia wasn't even sure he had legs. "There is the luck thingy again, how annoying." She thought as she still wanted to win by tactics and hard work instead of lucky. She didn't showed this to Silver though, but just nodded like she really thought about his words. "I see." She said and recalled Alter as well. Even she could guess the diglett had to be tired and asking it to battle yet another battle, would probably be too much.
As Silver called an old acquaintance out, Aglaia immediately decided she wouldn't use Saury against it, but then what? Before she got a chance to decide though, Wystan took the matter into his own stubs and he jumped out of his pokeball. "Wystan no!" Aglaia gasped but didn't get time to say anything else as the weedle became surrounded by a bright light. When it faded she did not have a weedle anymore.
Now Aglaia found her pokedex and checked her pokemon with it. It told her Wystan had evolved into something called a kakuna and that he couldn't really move anymore. A part of her was sad about that as she liked having him on her shoulder and nudging her all the time. Then she remembered the fire type and much to Wystan's protests(though he couldn't do anything about it), she recalled him, only to sent out Shadow a moment later.
"Fury Swipes." Aglaia more asked than ordered the purple feline, who sent her a curious glance as the the girl sounded rather nervous. Aglaia almost flinched when Shadow looked at her as she clearly remembered how she had behaved in her last battle. To her relief the purrloin turned her attention towards the cyndaquil and leaped forward to do as she had been told to.
(OOC, so I'm trying to make the first round a switch to give Wystan the single level he needs to evolve to beedrill, but he wont survive a real battle against cyndaquil)

Hoping that Aglaia's next move would be to take the bait and send out her Saury to meet its old friend Cyndaquil, the disdain in his eyes was quite obvious. " Hmph. So much for starting off with that whelp Bulbasaur because it was easy for you. Throw him away to the sidelines says a lot about you." Clearly trying to strike a nerve, he threw his head back and shrugged his arms at his side. " If you want to play with Bug Pokemon, prepare for them to get stomped. Weakest of the... What?" Cut off from his sentence, he noticed the Weedle forced its way back onto the field. That wasn't the only surprise it bought with it, as it came back onto the fore, the sudden burst of light caused Silver to raise his arm to his eyes to block out the wondrous rays of evolution. Lowering them as the evolution settled, Silver pulled a disgusted look. " So it became a cocoon. I'll just have to stomp twice as hard. A bug is still a weakling bug." Looking down at his Cyndaquil, he thought of another way to exterminate a pest. " Maybe stamping isn't the most effective. Perhaps i'll get Cyndaquil here too incinerate the puny insect." Flaring up its back, the once docile Pokemon was exhibiting more and more traits akin to that of its trainer. The harsh way of life and hurl of abuse would do just about the same to anyone in such a pitiful situation. Clearly raring to go, Silver clicked his fingers. " Ember." He commanded bluntly. Opening up its mouth, Silver's Pokemon took aim at Aglaia's Pokemon only to be caught somewhat off guard as the trainer made a quick switch to remedy the situation. By the time Shadow had arrived on the scene and took a leap forward, the ember was sent hurling through the air. Now taking up where Wystan had once stood, the feline creature took a pelting of hot coal as a welcoming gift. The quick change of Pokemon amused Silver. " So you managed to rustle up another mangy looking critter." Leering at the Purrloin, Silver must not have been all that aware of Shadow's behaviour to insult her so lightly. Recovering from the burning cinders, Shadow hissed and leapt forward again. Unleashing her sharp claws, the trickster Pokemon let loose with a flurry of claw swipes. " Don't just sit there you stinking rat! Dodge the hits!" Spat Silver as he realised this could put him in a tricky situation. Heeding it's master's words, the Pokemon began bobbing and weaving. With each swipe, Shadow seemed to be just a few inches off. Visibly upset, Shadow lunged that much further and overcame the Cyndaquil's frantic attempts at dodging. Landing a vicious swipe down the side of the Pokemon, Shadow followed up with another swipe that dug in deep and left a decidable mark as she drew it upwards and transferred the moment from her jump into the final swipe of her claws, landing two clean hits. Tumbling backwards, the Cyndaquil let out a pained squeal as it tried to cope with the stinging wounds it had just received. " Tch. You're making me start to think I swiped the wrong Pokemon. Prove your worth otherwise i'll head back to New Bark and drop you back off!" Silver's harsh words seemed to set the Pokemon alight as it used all of its focus to power itself up. " EMBER!" Roared Silver as he began to lose his patience. Spitting out a huge clump of burning hot coal from its mouth, the embers counteracted right in Shadow's face, causing a blistering burn as she was sent flying backwards, landing ungracefully at Aglaia's feet. The burn still searing, it took its toll on the poor Pokemon's stamina. Smugly smiling to himself, Silver looked over menacingly to Aglaia. " What did I tell you back in New Bark? You have to act tough to get tough results from your Pokemon. The fight your Pokemon are putting up leads me to believe you're still rookie tier." Folding his arms, he smirked. " I'll let you forfeit now if you like. You winning back at New Bark was a pure fluke. Plain and simple." Trainer Battle
