The Poke Ball flew through the air, hitting the Wurmple square on the stinger. The ball opened, sucking the worm-like Bug into the spherical device. It shook three times, just like it would any other time it was used. A moment of silence began as the ball's last moments, the moment when it would either ding as a success or break open as a failure. The moment seemed to drag on for quite some time before the decision of failure or success was determined...  *DING!*Congratulations, the Wurmple was caught!  Name: Sentaku Gender: Male Level: 6 Attacks: Tackle, String Shot, Poison Sting Ability: Shield Dust Personality/Nature: Sentaku believes in having a goal, and completing the goal. His first goal is to evolve all the way. Haley gave a laugh as the Poke Ball captured the Weedle in one try. She scampered forward and quickly scribbled down his name on the Poke Ball before it vanished. She returned Sandy, Stumpy, and Flounder to their Poke Balls, attaching the shrunken versions to Hokori’s harness. “Hokori, could you take this to the lab and trade them out for Daisy, Yokina, and Sentaku?” Using a piece of paper from her bag, she quickly scribbled down the orders and gave it to Hokori. The Pidgey screeched in response, leaping up into the air and vanishing. Haley sat down against a tree to wait for Hokori to return with the three newest members of their family. It wasn’t long- maybe thirty minutes or so- before the flying-type returned, the three shrunken Poke Balls attached to his harness. He fluttered down, and accepted a berry from her as she removed the Poke Balls. “Thanks Hokori, you need a rest.” She returned him to his Poke Ball. She let out the three, the red beams forming a Pichu, Spinda, and Weedle. “Welcome to the team, guys. These are my partners Honou,” The Fire-type puffed up her tail flame. “This is Sensei,” the Hoothoot chirped and jumped up. “And Hokori’s in his Poke Ball, but her brought y’all here. There are three more, Stumpy the Bidoof, Sandy the Sandshrew, and Flounder the Sentret, but you can only have six in your team at one time.” The three looked at one another, and nodded. The Pichu, Yokina, leapt up onto her and rested atop her head. The Spinda wobbled up to her and clung onto her hip, while the Weedle scrambled up onto her shoulder. Honou took her customary spot on Haley’s back, while Sensei fluttered onto her other shoulder. “Everyone ready?” she asked, and all the Pokemon shouted their affirmatives. “Then let’s go!” And she began to walk along the route once more. Traveling with her teammates all around her, Haley looked unusually friendly to most wild Pokemon in Route 29. However, most of them were shy and prefer being with their wild Pokemon families and friends. One Pokemon, however, was not intimidated by Haley strolling through the route with her companions. The Pokemon observed quietly through the leaves, watching the trainer and her Pokemon walking along the route. The wild Pokemon perked its ears and finally made the move. Shouting "Sentret!" happily, the Pokemon hopped on its tail and landed right in front of Haley. Wiggling its open arms joyously, the Sentret was the friendliest and happiest Pokemon to meet Haley and her companions!

At the sound of another Pokemon approaching, all the tame Pokemon turned their heads. Haley turned to see what it was, only for a familiar Pokemon to bounce out of the trees and land in front of her, wiggling its arms happily. She kneeled, with some trouble, and rubbed her hand between its rabbit-like ears. “Hey buddy. You seem really sweet, but I already have one of y’all on my team, and I like to let y’all stay in the wild if I can.”
Haley turned to her team, and they all tilted their heads. “But, would you mind a battle? Some of my friends here need some leveling up.” She nodded to Sentaku, and he wiggled down so he stood in front of the Sentret, smiling slightly. “Sentaku, if it agrees, use Poison Sting!” The Wurmple nodded, and watched the wild Pokemon, ready to attack if it decided to battle.

The wild Fouinette's plush face scrunched up as it tried to understand, then it slowly nodded. It was up for a game, but felt discouraged by the way the trainer worded things, as if she thought there was no way it could win and she was just using it as an easy target. Its ears drooped then perked up, determined to prove her wrong. Sentrets aren't usually the best battlers, being more prey than predator, but this one wanted to show off what skills it had. It chirped and bounded back a fair distance, facing off against whichever Pokemon she chose.
A Wurmple wiggled forward, firing off a Poison Sting from its spike. Sentret plucked out the barb gingerly then curled up to bolster its defenses.

BIC: Haley frowned softly, realizing how she had sounded. “Ah, sorry! I didn’t mean it how it sounded! I meant that you and my Pokemon both could use some battling experience!” She sighed, hoping she had worded it right. “Sorry if I offended you… oh, just forget it!” The lunar-haired girl looked at the sentry Pokemon, tilting her head. Maybe she could catch it, and sell it in the next town? It seemed nice enough to make a good pet, and willed enough to make a good battler.
She fondled a Poke Ball in her pocket, but kept it tucked away, not wanting to test her luck. Everything had gone rather well so far, not counting that Silver boy, but she feared that she would run out of luck.
A distracted nod of the head was all the cheering that Sentaku received when his Poison Sting hit the Sentret. He tilted his head to look over at Haley, but she nodded towards the Sentret. “Poison Sting, again.” she sighed, and pulled the Poke Ball from her pocket, enlarging it and preparing to throw it.

With Haley's next command the same as before, the determined Wurmple fired off another volley of Poison Sting, hoping that these attacking would help him to evolve one day. The fluffy Sentret was hit again, having one of its skin brushed by another poisonous sting. Thankfully, the injury was just a surface abrasion, no poison had entered its body. Seeing that the Wurmple had continued to attack, the Sentret ran forward and landed a big scratch on the squishy bug's tomato colored skin. Sentaku's body was luckily a little harder than a tomato, he took the Sentret's first attack and continued to battle, if his trainer wishes, of course.

“Santaku, you okay?” Haley asked, seeing her new partner get scratched by the wild Pokemon’s claws. The Wurmple nodded, and turned to glare at the Sentret. “I’m gonna beat you!” he taunted, launching a string of web into the air in a show-offey way.
“Sentaku, move back!” Haley ordered, and, albeit reluctantly, the worm inched back, staring at the Poke Ball in her hand. She clicked it to full size, and pulled it back in a way akin to a pitcher winding up their baseball. “Poke Ball, go!” the red and white orb was flung high into the air, where it split open and a red beam shot out, enveloping the sentry Pokemon.

Ooc: Not entirely sure about the Wurmple evolution going on, but I’m guessing you wanted your thread in the day time? That affects what Wurmple evolves into. If anyone sees a mistake let me know so I can fix it. Bic: The Pokeball was flung through the air as Haley tossed it as hard as she could. It was clear that she wanted the Sentret and wasn’t about to let the opportunity go to waste. The Sentret looked stunned at the change of events as it looked back at Haley at the last second. Before it could utter out a single word it knew what was going to happen next. A pokeball was soaring through the air and opened up as a bright red light appeared out of it. The light encased the sentret as the brown form of the pokeball disappeared into it. The pokeball fell onto the ground replacing the area where the Sentret had once been. Haley was not out of the blue just yet. As the pokeball fell onto the ground it started to shake, once…twice…and a third time. It was certainly a nail biting moment for the team as they waited to see the outcome of this battle. Finally it paid off as the pokeball let out a soft ding, the inner circle on it lit up a bright red to announce the Sentret had been caught. And was now Haley’s to obtain and add to her team.  Sentret Name: [choose] Gender: Male Level: 5 Attacks: Scratch, Foresight, Defense Curl Ability: Keen Eye Nature/Personality: [choose] OOC: Just put him in my box for now, gonna be a gift for my friend who’s joining on Thursday. Haley nibbled on her lip as the Poke Ball began to shake, the Sentret fighting for its freedom. Her whole team leaned forward in wonder, waiting to see if the capture would be successful. Suddenly, it finished the third tilt and gave the customary DING! that signaled a successful capture. She didn’t bother to step forward and pick it up, instead letting it pop back to the lab. Suddenly, Sentaku began to glow, causing the team to turn and look at him. A wide grin split the Wurmple’s mouth as he realized he was beginning to evolve. Haley tilted her head as his form began to grow round, turning a silky white color. His eyes shifted in, turning a crimson color. Resting in front of Haley was a Silcoon. She kneeled awkwardly next to him, reaching out her hand to pet his silky skin. “Congratulations Sentaku,” she muttered, accidentally brushing her bangs back and revealing a sight that shocked all her Pokemon. Three deep scars, two on either side of her right eye, and the other going straight through it, distorting the color. She pulled it back into place upon feeling their stares, and recalled all her Pokemon, except Yokina and Honou. “So, guys, ready to head to Cherrygrove?” she asked, and the two nodded their heads. Haley turned and finished the walk to Cherrygrove. |
