Alissa had had a restful nights sleep, knowing she had some pokemon that were quite caring. Then there was Alistare. Yes he cared for Alissa, but what he didn't really care for, was Igni. He considered her a rival an adversary more than a friend. Igni however not so much the same way. She was confused by the way he acted.
Alissa was outside touring Cherrygrove, when suddenly one of the Pokeballs in her bag suddenly set free its contents. Alistare popped out, looking around quite frantically. He then looked to Igni, whom was never in her Pokeball, and said, "Do you Hooo~ sense it?" Alistare looked again in another direction, "Somethings wrong... This way!!" Alissa looked at the bird and suddenly when he darted off she was... Confused. First of all, how did he get out of the ball second of al- Igni runs off after him.
Alissa now with even less time to think, runs off after both Pokemon. Now normally people that saw a Hoothoot, Charmander, and their Trainer running after each, would just laugh. Which is exactly what they did. Alissa had no idea what they were thinking. However it must have been something important, because they were running very fast.
Suddenly Alistare stopped in his tracks and looked around again. Where they were, no one knew, it was far off trail and the forest was beggining to thicken. Alissa, finally catching up, was trying to catch her breath. "Okay... So why... Are you dragging... Us here?" she says between breaths. Alistare turns to her, "Hoo-oot!"

Route 29 | The Route seemed quiet enough, and even so, Alissa's Hoothoot had known something was wrong. Leading Alissa in the direction he had sensed a disturbance, they soon found that his hunch, his feelings, had been right.
"N-Now calm d-down...p-please...we just wanna go home!" A young boy was corned, three hellhounds had him backed against a tree, cornered at all sides. Behind him, three tiny Pokemon sat, cowering behind his legs and scared to death. "J-Just let us go...."
But as he tried to move, the lead houndour snapped at him, causing him to press closer to the tree trunk just behind him. "P-Please..." he spotted Alissa just a ways away and cried out. "Please help me! If one of my P-Pokemon can help, U-Use them...j-just save me!" He cried out as one of the Houndour snapped again.

Out of nowhere came a voice yelling for help along with a few cries from his poor youngling Pokemon. Alissa whips her head around just in time to see three Houndour growling and barking at the boy. They seemed off, viscous, and in the wrong place at the wrong time. She didn't even have to think of who to send out. Alissa ran towards the boy, putting herself between them. "Oh so you all think that you can harm a boy and his Pokemon? Think again!! I Alissa, aspiring Pokemon Ranger, will stop you in your tracks!!" Alissa withdraws a Pokeball in her bag, "Alright, Cerin go." Out comes her Absol, in all its shiny glory. He stares down the three Pokemon with a glare. "Okay Cerin you take middle, Igni you take left. Finally Alistare, you take right!!" Alissa smiles turning her head slightly to talk to Jimmy. "Hay you alright?" she asks him. Waiting for a reply she turns and immediately orders her attacks. "Cerin, use Quick Attack, Igni go ahead and use your Smokescreen, finally Hoothoot use your Hypnosis!!"    |

Ooc: Thank you so much for the table Tiki it was a life saver. Thank goodness I had a tablet to look up the stats since the PS4 can only have 3 windows at a time. If no one else minds can I reserve this thread? I really could use the practice for triple battles. Ic: Just as Abyss, Havoc, and Helena were about to make Schoolboy Jimmy their lunch they noticed Alissa and knew they would not get to eat the poor boy yet. The three hellhounds were just about to line up in formation in front of their prey but right before they could the girl somehow got between them and Jimmy. Not many trainers in the area had three Pokemon so they did not think she would be a problem until they saw her with 3 Pokemon in front of her.. Helena took charge as the Houndour tried to rethink their strategy. As Jimmy hid behind a tree to change into a new pair of pants just as the battle began. Cerin ran towards the middle Houndour Havoc and quicked the dog with a backwards Quick Attack before any of the dogs could react and sent the dog right into the tree Jimmy was hiding behind. As the Houndour looked in terror as to what had happened to their comrade Igni started to breathe a coal black smokescreen towards Helena blinding her and adding to the level of terror. Before Alistare could make a move however the Houndour made their move. Starting with Helena all three of the hellhounds let out deep demonic howls that would impress the devil himself. As the finally stopped howling Alistare's eyes began to glow bright red as he looked at Abyss. The demon dog fell into a deep trace and then fell asleep. Helena and Havoc tried to wake him up but he was out cold. The two Houndour still awake looked around to make sure Jimmy had not gotten away only to spot him sticking his head out from behind a tree shaking like he had just recovered from being possessed. Havoc finally managed to walk back over to the other Houndour barely able to stand after the collision.

"Alright!! Good going you guys and gal," Alissa says right after they finish their attacks. Alistare looks on trying to copy the look that Cerin has on his face. Eager to act he looks back at Alissa. Igni simply stands waving her tail back and forth. Cerin continues to stare them down not taking his eyes off any of them.
Without further ado, Alissa gives out her next command. "Alright. Igni and Alistare I want you both to use Growl. While Cerin use another Quick Attack on the middle Houndour." Alissa's excitement couldn't be contained. It showed in her eyes and through her movements as the battle carried on.
Cerin of course was the first to move. Once again going after the middle Houndour as both Alistare and Igni used their Growl.

Ooc: I'm assuming that you wanted Igni and Alistare to attack the same targets they did last round but I can fix it if you wanted them to both use Growl on a single Houndour. Also as it says in the library I will tally up the level gain at the end of the battle. Ic: As Jimmy was still hiding behindd the tree crying like a little schoolgirl over a stolen doll the second round was getting underway. Cerin just like before ran towards Havoc like a speeding bullet sending him into the same tree he had already became friends with before. This time however his head was implanted in the tree and he passed out with his head still stuck inside of it's trunk. Before Helena or the sleeping Abyss could do anything Igni stepped up unleashing a deafening Growl. Helena covered her ears in pain while Abyss did not even take notice. As Helena regained hearing she let out another mighty Howl this time all by herself. Havoc was still barely breathing while Abyss was fast asleep. As she was ready to tear Abyss a new one for sleeping instead of fighting Alistare let out a Growl of his own towards the sleeping mutt. The Growl was so fierce his eardrums busted but he somehow remained asleep despite his ears being a mess. Poor Schoolboy Jimmy really gained hope at this point the this young lady might save his bacon. He grew enough courge to walk in front of the tree and spanked Havoc as hard as his skinny arms would let him for revenge. Helena took notice of Jimmy but was far more afraid of the Pokemon in front of her as she was the only one who could still effectivly fight. She really began wishing that this fight never happened fear the worst had yet to come.

Alissa watches as Cerin once again slams into the Houndour. Jumping back into place he looks to Helena and then to Abyss, which was peacefully sleeping. Then looking back to Helena he puts out a paw towards her, signaling she was next. Igni looks at her as well, just much less intimidating. Alistare stares wide eyed at the sleeping Houndour in front of him. They all nod towards each other, though Alistare still turns his beak up at Igni.
"Great work you three. Now Cerin, use Feint on the left Houndour, Igni, use Scratch. Alistare, you use Tackle on the left. If it wakes up, don't worry, we'll just show it how tough you are." Alissa smiles, "Now see Houndour? This is what you get when you go bad." She looks on watching her Pokemon do their thing. Meanwhile she watches as Jimmy kicks the downed Houndour, "Really, thats how you treat a Pokemon?" She yells at him.

Ooc: I fixed the earlier post to change their positions. I somehow derped that up when I did my original post partially due to the skin I was using but now I have started to use the original one so I hope I do not miss anything else. For anyone reading this do not try to mod when using the hardcore skin on a PS4. I am on a computer right now but please let me know if I completely mess something else up. Just in case you did not know Feint only works if Protect or Detect is used and Houndour does not know either attack. Ic: As Helena looked into the eyes of Alissa she could tell the trainer was pretty mad at both the Houndour and Jimmy for spanking the Houndour. Jimmy wanting to take up for himself decided to finally speak up to explain why he spanked the Houndour. " Me and my Pokemon were minding our own business and these brutal Houndour attack me for no reason and you ask me how I could treat them in such a way. I love Pokemon with all my heart but these Pokemon clearly have absolutely no respect at all. Your Pokemon are clearly well disciplined but as little as I want to hurt a Pokemon these brutes deserve it for being such a heartless band of troublemakers." He said as his three Pokemon hugged him all terrified for both his life as well as their own. Meanwhile Cerin jumped into action ready to trick Helena into a thinking he was going to attack from one direction only to completely come from an entirely different direction however the dog was not fooled and realizing the true direction of his attack she turned to face him. Cerin knew his deception had failed and broke off the engagement failing to do any damage. Igni however was not going to let the demon dog get off twice and she ran up scratching Helena right in the face causing quite a bit of pain to the dog as it let out a loud whimper. Alistare was all ready to go but Helena again proved too quick. The hellhound sent out small embers of flame towards Cerin. It was far from a powerful attack but it still stung him as the simmered his fur. As Helena ran out of strength to produce more flames Alistare finally got his chance as Abyss was still sleeping like a baby. Alistare hopped towards Helena with his stubby little legs and Tackled the dog with as much power as he could muster. As she recovered from the impact she started barking towards Abyss trying desperately to wake him up.

Alissa looks on, wondering what made the Houndour dodge Cerin's attack. However from her point of view, she couldn't have seen it. "Don't worry Cerin, you'll get it next time," Alissa exclaims, watching as Igni goes in for her Scratch attack. She hits it successfully and smiles widely as Alistare's tackle hits the same one as well. "Good job you two."
Indeed Cerin was slightly perturbed about the way his attack didn't work, but it made him think how he could use it differently. He looked to Igni and gave her a nod, then to Alistare. Alissa saw these movements and smiled even wider. "Oh they are working together!!" Thats when she heard the fire hit Cerin. "You alright Cerin?" He nods and continues looking on. Now she had heard Jimmy's reply to her question. She understood what he meant, but there were other ways than violence. "Jimmy I understand, but violence is probably what set these Houndour to act this way. I also have a reason to believe that they are not wild."
"Okay enough talking. Igni use smokescreen on the left. Cerin use Quick Attack on the left. Alistare, you use Tackle on the right one." Alissa watches as all her three Pokemon get on the ball and do their thing. Cerin was first to go, "Give it a hundred and ten percent Cerin."

Alissa watches as Cerin slams into the left Houndour. He jumps back to position and stares at the now awake Houndour. Igni tries her best, but the smoke doesn't reach him. That's when Alistare takes his turn and tackles the dog. "Alright, good work you three, sorry it didn't reach it Igni." She looks at the three and decided that someone else needed to train.
"Alright, Alistare, come back. Now go Dusty!!" She takes a ball in each hand throwing out Dusty's and recalling Alistare into his. Dusty stretchs as she looks at the PokePokemon before her. Immediately she goes to hide underneath the more imposing pokemon to her left. Looking up at him, she quickly moves away . Looking back to Alissa, she really looks ffrightened, but Alissa gives her a reassuring smile and so she turns around.
"Alright guys, lets finish this one off!! Igni, use Growl. Cerin use a Quick Attack , and Dusty, go with a Poison Sting!!"

Route 29 | The Pokemon were all moving at a fast pace, but none faster than the mysterious red Absol. Cerin moved with a grace that certainly didn't surprise Jimmy. He had gone to school and learned a lot about Absol after all. Cerin moved quickly, letting out a loud cry as it collided in a quick attack with the Houndour, effectively finishing off the last of the back. Landing squarely on its feet, the absol turned back to the his trainer to look at him.
Seeing that it was now Safe, Jimmy and his Pokemon rushed over to the girl, the Azurill in his arms bouncing around. "T-Thankyou so much! We were almost dog food!" Thinking for a minute, he let out a deep sigh as he dug through his bag, looking for something until he heard a jingling and pulled it out from his wreck of a bag. He held it out for her.
"Here! It's a soothe bell! It'll make Pokemon a lot more friendly towards you when they're holding that!" He promised, then looking at his Pokemon. "Say...a strong trainer like you..could you...take one of my Pokemon along? They...they'd be yours, but I just want the to grow nice and strong."
It was then that Cerin growled, noticing the pack getting up. But they didn't want to fight this time. One shot down the middle of the path, while the others flanked, one vanishing left, the other right. "...hm...I'm kinda worried about 'em...even though they tried to eat me. Are you gonna follow them?" Jimmy asked with a tilt of his head.

Cerin jumps back from striking the final blow. He simply nods to Jimmy in return. Dusty looks like she had just survived a large assault as she suddenly begins to glow. In a steadily growing amount of light, she suddenly becomes an oval shape and as soon as the glowing dies down, she is a purplish color and Alissa recognizes it as a Cascoon. Alissa jumps up for joy, "Yay!! My first evolved pokemon!!" She runs up and grabs Dusty, and hugs her hard. Finally she returns Cerin and Dusty to their respective Pokeballs. Suddenly Jimmy walks up to her and hands her a nifty little bell. Then he offers her one of three Pokemon, an Azurill, a Budew, and a Chingling. Mulling over the possibility of each Pokemon and then decided the the little grass poison type. She picks up the Pokeball and quickly names the cute little female bud. "I'll choose Petals, the Budew. Thank you Jimmy!!" Suddenly she hears a scampering and as soon as she looks, they are gone. "What? Igni, which way should we go?" Igni looks up at her, then to the paths. She points left and so, they follow the left path. Given how well signed posted the nearby areas of Cherrygrove were, it was noticeably jarring just how myriad this off beaten track was becoming. No longer were their clear cut routes to follow. The way in which the Houndour had scuppered off too had been in a number of winding paths. As trainer and Pokemon debated between themselves on which path to take, it appeared the dirt path heading off to the left most area was most promising. Following along the trail, it was discouraging that the longer they progressed, the sign of nothing greeted them. There were the odd footprint strewn haphazardly where in the direction they were going but it was hard to make them out due to how faint they were. It was only when they came up to a bigger clearing that they were greeted with what can only be described as chaos. A large, muddy stretch of ground lay in front of them and the faint footprints they had been following were now amongst a number of other differing tracks! This was either a crossroad that Pokemon in the wild used or the Hondour had a gang of friendly Pokemon that were aiding its getaway. One thing was certain, Alissa would have to pick the right footprint lest the Houndour make good of its escape. Time was ticking. Pick the right footprint above to proceed.Which track does Alissa decide to follow? |

Crap. Alissa was getting nowhere fast, Igni agreed. She wondered just how fast this little Houndour could run? Without thinking she had run off not really looking at the trail below her. It was when they began coming into a muddy clearing that she had her chance to hopefully get things right on track.
HootHoot comes bursting out of his Pokeball, looking at the ground. He chooses a certain pair of tracks and follows thems. They were one of the smallest tracks, but had the most resemblance to a dog or wolf footprint. Alissa follows Alistare and so they run once again. Alissa ends up running after both of them thinking, "Just what tracks are we following?"
