As soon as the Surskit was knocked out cold a very angry looking Masquerain decided it had seen enough and it decided to challenge Tyler and his team. " I knew something worthwhile was just waiting for the right moment to strike and behold a Pokemon that can put up a fight after all this time. This will be a very nice test to see how much more training we need to do before the next gym." As Tyler looked at the bug type thinking of all the ways he could torture it while keeping it alive Mania and Senorita looked at one another wondering just what in the heck the thing was. It's wings looked rather odd and both Pokemon grew unnerved at the sight of it's wings.

" I admit that thing is a lot tougher than the other Pokemon we have battled here. We might need more than a single hit to bring something of it's size and strength down." Tyler did indeed have a plan however as a Pokemon had had not used in a long time would prove to be a very useful tool to bring the bug type down to size. Tyler grabbed a Pokeball from his backpack and tossed it towards the bug. The ball landed a few feet away and from the ball Blitz his Magnemite appeared almost losing his mind in terror as it gazed upon the bug Pokemon's wings. Tyler had planned on it however as he was going to have the magnet Pokemon stick to only ranged attacks to weaken the bug enough for Senorita to finish it off.

Mania went from being a bit unnerved to almost laughing to death as she looked at Blitz. There were some funny looking Pokemon but a living magnet was something she could not stop herself from poking fun at. " A living magnet? Is that really our plan to weaken this thing. We really need to find stronger Pokemon so we can raise some hell with worthwhile species. That Houndour was a good start but we still need other stronger Pokemon like it to have any chance of becoming true legends." Tyler believing in the magnet however as he had seen what it could do in a match did not discount it so quickly. " Blitz may not look like much but it has proven how tough it is in a good number of fights. Watching Sparky getting beat for his failures served as a great inspiration. This battle should be no exception if it knows what is good for it."

Tyler wanted to show the bug a true taste of strength and Blitz had a huge type advantage. Using that to his advantage Tyler called out his first order. " Blitz use Thundershock on Masquerain to start things off and do not fail me for your sake."{/color]

The Surskit carnage that had caused Masquerain to come out and attempt to stop Tyler had buffed up his team a relatively good amount. It wasn't anything that couldn't be handled by Tyler, or so he thought, so why worry too much? Although the Masquerain buzzed angrily, wings flapping rapidly, Tyler didn't seem too bothered by the situation. Although the Magnemite was unnerved, as long as the trainer served as the intimidating rock to keep the Pokemon there, the Magnemite would still perform. While Mania snickered about the magnet's appearance, Masquerain zipped side to side before charging forward.

It appeared to want to go in for a physical attack, but then stopped about mid field to Tyler. The angry bug inhaled for a moment before it released a long string of bubbles to pop against the magnet Pokemon. It definitely seemed to hurt the Magnemite better than any physical attack would have. Blitz swirled it's body around a few times in an attempt to sling some of the water from the attack off while listening to Tyler's order. Electricity would do wonders here.

Fully prepared to knock out the Masquerain as the rest of these battles had happened, Blitz spun it's magnets momentarily, building up the magnetic energy to create the electric shock it needed to send towards the flying bug. The electricity darted through the air and zapped the bug, but instead of falling to the ground, it took the damage, faltered for only a second or two, and was back in fighting form. It was damaged, yes, but not near as much as was probably expected. Dealing with the evolved form was a bit harder than stomping Surskits.

Tyler was far from satisfied in Blitz's performance although he also expected Masquerain to take a few hits being the evolved form of the Surskit his team had nearly wiped out. He was amazed that they were still just an uncommon Pokemon after all the ones he had defeated but he planned on wiping them all out soon. As Blitz tried not to look roughed up from the Bubblebeam Tyler was biding more time until Senorita Ramirez could deliver a strike of her own. With Masquerain still having a ton of health though she would not be able to do so for quite some time. Blitz on the other hand was doing well all things considered and Tyler saw no reason to change tactics.

Mania still had to put her own two cents on the matter as she began to speak. " The more I look at that freak the less scary it gets. It is a shame that bucket of bolts does not have more powerful electric type moves or else this would be over already. So much for another quick battle however that bug is still going down onw way or another even if all else fails and I have to do it myself. Feeling full of confidence Mania could not wait until she could battle in a gym and if their good luck continued that day would be soon. Senorita Ramirez also was getting close to being able to counter anything the next gym might try to throw at them.

Masquerain was still the primary target and Blitz was slowly getting itself to battle another round so it could weaken the bug even more. The magnet also had to contend with it's lack of mobility being many times slower than the bug. Bubblebeam was powerful but going slower than the bug combined with it made it all worse. Tyler did not want the magnet to win he just wanted Masquerain hurt so Senorita could gain the majority of the levels she still needed to catch up with Mania. " Blitz I want you to use Thundershock on Masquerain so it will not be able to take another hit safely. You had best not fail me or the others on my team will tear you to shreds. Do you understand my you magnitized reject?" With nothing else on his mind Tyler began to wait and see how round number two would turn out.

As Blitz the Magnemite was spoken down to, to the point of being made to feel worthless for not doing more damage previously, the wild Masquerain spared little pity for the magnet Pokemon. Tyler and his team had torn through this pleasant route, destroying all manner of nature and wild Pokemon species in their path, the most of note being the Surskit line. Appearing in the nick of time to try and save some of it's brethren, even if Tyler was just as horrid to his own Pokemon as he was to those in the wild, the intimidating looking Masquerain cared little. It was a protector, a saviour and Blitz was trying to disrupt that peace. Any opponent would be taken down by the Masquerain, even if it was at a elemental disadvantage. Swooping through the air, the flying bug took note of the slow speed of the levitating magnet and used such a blatant weakness to it's advantage.

Flapping it's wildly patterned wings, the flying creature conjured up sharp blades of air which slash forward like knives. It was lucky that Blitz had a sturdy, steel hard body as to much softer Pokemon, it would've dealt a great deal of damage. Thrown off kilter, Blitz buzzed to itself, knowing he too needed to protect his own hide. If it failed here, then countless punishments would surely follow. The magnets attached to either side of it's body beginning to spin, another round of electricity began to churn and with a manic flash, a shock of thunder ripped through the air and collided with the body of Masquerain. Dealing much more damage than the turn previously, the wild creature felt itself droop in the air slightly. This time, the amount of damage it had received was made visibly aware.

As the Masquerain took a second Thundershock resulting in visible damage Tyler felt it was time to switch out his Pokemon so Senorita Ramirez could deliver the finishing blow and gain a large amount of levels for winning this tough battle however Air Cutter made him rethink his strategy for a moment as if the bug was able to score a critical hit with that move it would do a ton of damage to Senorita Ramirez. Switching now would be a very risky move but if the risk paid off the benefit would be huge. As little as he wanted to take a chance the potential reward was too much for him to pass up and he finally made up his mind. He was going to do the switch after considering the risk and hope for the best.

" Blitz you have managed to survive this long however the time has come for Senorita Ramirez to have a go. The risk is one I do not like to take but she needs more levels before we face the next gym and if she is able to defeat this bug she will be very close to maxing out her powers before we take on the gym." As the two Pokemon switched places Senorita Ramirez was uneasy knowing her foe would get a free attack and that a critical hit could be devastating. If she somehow avoided a bad stroke of luck however Her own attack would have more than enough power to knock out Masquerain. Hoping for good luck to be on her side she waited for both Tyler to give an order and for Masquerain to make it's free move.

" Luck is not something I want to rely on whenever skill alone is enough but for now luck is something we will have to deal with as well. This is a real roll of the dice hoping for them to come up good. If by some miracle you avoid taking a critical hit from that bug we will be in a really good place to end this battle." As he took a deep breath and waited to see the results of the first round he yelled out his orders for the next round assuming luck was somehow on his side and that Senorita Ramirez was able to attack. " I want you to use Aerial Ace on that bug if luck does not get in our way."

Ooc: Tyler switches out Blitz for Senorita Ramirez. Assuming she somehow survives the first round she will use Aerial Ace on Masquerain.

Fluttering weakly after the onslaught of electricity thrown at it, the Masquerain had grown weak but still looked far from giving up. It wasn't just the young Surskit, all the Pokemon in this area were being harmed horribly by Tyler and his team, it was unacceptable! If the Masquerain fell here, who would be the next one to come to the rescue? Likely none! The watery bug was a well known protector of these parts and if it fell, then others would likely give up all hope. Still, it looked as if the Pokemon had some sort of a chance as Tyler took the reigns of the battle in a somewhat uncertain way. Knowing that by doing this he would be making a big gamble, it was something that he clearly didn't feel one hundred percent confident in but in order to forcefully push his team to their limits, he did it anyway. After all, if his Pokemon fell then it simply meant punishment. To save themselves the harm, they had to fight to protect themselves.

Not able to see this side of the coin in regards to the few of Tyler's Pokemon who actually loathed the human, instead, the Masquerain continued it's own assault, uncaring either way. With a single glance, the Masquerain could tell that Tyler had some sort of a trick up his sleeve by sending the mysterious Hawlucha forward but for the wild creature, it's goal was clear. Defeat the opponent first. With a maddening flap of it's patterned wings of warning, the wild Pokemon whipped up a hectic gust which practically lifted the Hawlucha up and into the air, slicing at her body with blades of wind before tossing her back down to the ground. Managing to stagger back up to her feet, Senorita Ramirez gasped somewhat from the pain; this opponent was a tough one. But before the Masquerain could follow up with a speedy move, she used her own foot work to attack first.

Leaping dramatically into the air, the speedy Senorita Ramirez sliced forward with her wings, sending a cross shaped blade of air straight for her opponent and pinning it to the ground. Landing in a nearby bush, the attack had been enough to knock the Masquerain out, much to the surprise of watching wild Pokemon who quickly began to flee once the battle was deemed over. All apart from a bundle of Surskit, who had taken it upon themselves to lift and carry the fainted Masquerain to safety before the human could try to capture it.

Applauding as the Masquerain fell in defeat at the hands of Senorita Tyler was pleased to see his gamble had paid off by some miracle and that she was still standing. He was all but assured that he was ready to take on Bugsy now however as Senorita could still gain a tiny bit of power before facing him he wanted to show the gym leader no mercy. Taking advantage of the gym leaders level rules he was going to stay put until Senorita had peaked in power before setting foot in the gym so he would not end up like his brother. He wanted to show just how weak his brother was along with making the gym leader look like an absolute fool. Turning to look at Mania her snout was already pointed to the sky as she smelled yet another foe.

" Ah another SUrskit likely coming to try and avenge that Masquerain is heading towards us. Such a pity that their hive mind leads them to make such rash and stupid decisions but it will all benefit us in the long run. Bird Brain here still needs a tiny bit more practice before we will be ready to raise hell and let loose high water on this abomination of a town. I have yet to find a single specimen worth sparing outside of that handsome Houndour you bought. If he is as tough as he looks he might just make the cut. Another powerful canine on our team is always a good thing." She said as they waited for a moment.

" So yet another one of those worthless bugs is trying to stop us again? Did they not learn that if their evolved form could not stop us they do not have a snowballs chance in hell of stopping us. Fine we shall make it pay just like we did all the others and Senorita Ramirez will have the honor of pummeling it to the ground as her last victim before we destroy that wimp of a gym leader here. That is of course if this SUrskit is not too high leveled. For once thanks to that Lucky Egg my brother dropped I do not want any of the strong ones to show their faces or it will delay our plans of putting this town under our control for good." He then waited to see just how strong their foe was before making any further moves.

With the Masquerain's defeat, the onslaught of Surskit in the area had been nothing but a breeze for Tyler and his Pokemon's merciless clearing. What would happen now that even the heroic Masquerain had been defeated by the humans? Would some other Pokemon avenge them, or some very unlikely possibility of some passerby human avenging them instead? Neither. Instead, a lone Surskit had been watching the battle closeby, and was stunned to see the result of its hero Masquerain falling victim to the human's powerful battling techniques.

The young Surskit was too scared to move. Its legs shaking. Now that the Masquerain was gone, its scent had disappeared from the area, and only the Surskit's scent remained. Mania was waiting for a bit for the Pokemon to showed up, but it was too scared to move. Instead, she followed her sense of smell and found the Surskit a few steps away, hiding in the grass. She smiled like she had found another unfortunate victim.

Just as Mania had predicted a lonely Surskit had found it's way into the hornets nest and Tyler could not be more pleased. This one was just weak enough for Senorita Ramirez to gain the remaining level she needed without going over the limit. Smiling at his fantastic luck even Mania began to celebrate as she knew their time had almost come. So long as Senorita avoided any disastrous mistakes they would be at Bugsy's gym right as this battle was over. " Just like that fortune smiles upon us. Our time for glory is almost here. Senorita do not mess this up. So long as you win this match the next badge will be as good as ours." He said as the young Hawlucha cringed at the thought of what he would do to her if she somehow lost this battle.

Mania was not about to let her off easily either as she added her own two cents to the mix.{color=crimson} " I might just have to have fried Hawlucha if things do not go our way here. I hear you taste really good when served with a leek and we shall soon find out if you lose this battle. The sooner you take care of this bug so we can take on the next gym already. I want to sick my teeth into the gym leader and tear them to shreds."[/color] With both Tyler and Mania being quite clear that Senorita would regret everything if she failed she had to do well in this next battle if there was any hope of her having a good life. If there was any good piece of news for her it was that her foe had a type disadvantage and she had already beaten it's evolved form so it should not be too much trouble for her to handle.

" By the time today is over even the dead with be awoken by the horrors we shall commit. No mercy shall be shown to anyone who gets in our way as we make our way to Blackthorn to make those fools pay for their arrogance. Blood will be spilled along the way and Mania will have plenty of bones to feast on once this is all over." Having wasted enough time and energy talking to what he saw as a worthless bug Tyler gave his orders to Senorita. " Senorita you have the glorious honor of opening the very floodgates of hell itself. Use Aerial Ace on Surskit so our fun can begin."

After successfully sniffing out the small Surskit in hiding, the tiny bug stared up with wide eyes as Senorita Ramirez towered over it. Standing completely still, the Hawlucha flinched as she received a rather vicious pep talk from Tyler and Mania. It was very unlikely that she would lose this battle but the fear of failure was quick to cloud her mind. Fearful of her trainer and even Mania in some regard, the two were not ones to upset so really, Senorita Ramirez's goal was simple. Defeat the Surskit. Her own eyes looking down at the wild creature, it was clearly young, weak and inexperienced in terms of battling. The way it cuddled itself into a ball and shook nervously proved as much. Bullying such a small Pokemon was nasty but if it was to save herself, the Hawlucha couldn't hold back.

With plans of conquering the local Gym just an arms reach away, Senorita Ramirez finally poised herself, ready to strike. Dashing forward with incredible speed, a number of leaves burst up from the ground and into the air as if uplifted by her sudden movements. Then, with a swift swing of her winged arm, the Hawlucha sent a blade of air hurtling towards the Surskit. Striking it across the body, the pained squeak of the Surskit echoed throughout the area as it's tiny body rolled off into the nearby bushes, limply.

" Ha that will show that pest who is in charge here. I do believe you are now ready for our battle now as well Senorita. Between you, Flint, and Mania we should have no problem crushing that no good gym leader who gave my brother so much trouble and then after we deal with them we will contact headquarters to see if there is any jobs we can do. The sooner this town is recolored crimson the better isn't that right Mania?" he asked the young fox as she cracked the biggest smile he had ever seen. The two were almost identical in their beliefs and this was not exception. " Oh I most certainly agree. These trees need to be covered in the blood of our foes and that gym leader will just be the first sorry fool who shall fall to us."

Mania was not even trying to sniff anything out anymore as she did not need to train anymore and the rest of Tyler's team could wait until after the gym battle before doing anymore training. They had waited and trained for so long that he knew this was the right time to try his luck. After how easily he defeated Falkner he had believed gyms were a joke. His believed his brother only struggled in the second gym because he had rushed into the battle instead of taking his time and he wanted to prove just how worthless the gym leaders were. " Knowing our luck those Unown did not kill my brother and to an extent I hope they did not as I want to make him look like a fool by earning the next gym badge. That Lucky egg can come back to me Senorita however I want Mania to keep holding those Blackglasses as they are all part of my plans for this next gym."

" I can feel my strength growing by the moment. These glasses both look fantastic on me and increase my power so I will use them well. Should we get started towards the gym now?" Mania asked as Tyler put the Lucky Egg back into his backpack. " Yes now that this Lucky Egg has been secured and there is nothing else worth pursuing in this dump it is now time. If what my brother said is true about this gym from a while back the leader uses Bug types and apparently Scyther is one of his Pokemon so Senorita will give that mantis a nasty surprise with Acrobatics if it is true." He said as they made their way to the gym.
