Vs. Nidoran♂ - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emboldened by Ace's reaction to his attack, Nidoran♂ was looking a lot less hesitant about the whole battle, his trembling a lot less noticeable. Sure he was still frightened of both human and bird, but it was a start. Scraping an anxious paw on the dirt, the Poison-type squeaked irritatingly at Ace, who returned the favour with a supremely annoyed glare. Cowed by the intimidating look, Nidoran♂ shrank back with a wince, eyes shifting round the angry Spearow to fall on the trainer. Caught up in his momentary boost in confidence, and subsequent crash, the rabbit had failed to notice what Tyler was holding in his hands.
Seeing the Great Ball inspired the worst sort of dread, scant knowledge of humans in general aiding Nidoran♂ enough to realize what this meant. Ace leered at the Poison-type again, the only thing he could do without invoking Tyler's terrible wrath. Stupid rodent deserved whatever was coming to it. Paralyzed by fear, Nidoran♂ watched with dull eyes as the Great Ball whirled through the air and struck him square on the snout. Drawn into the device by the beam of light shot out, a fading squeal of terror from Nidoran♂ lingered in the air.
As the device landed on the ground, it rocked about wildly, its new unwilling occupant desperate for freedom. If only Nidoran♂ had acted before the ball came flying, perhaps giving it a chance to make that escape, but luck did not smile upon him today. Ball coming to a complete halt, a red light flashed on the button on the front, indicating the capture was a success.
Congratulations! The wild Nidoran♂ was captured!

As the Great Ball locked shut Tyler could not of been happier as right after the click Ace began to glow a brilliant white light and he knew all too well what it meant. Ace had begun evolving into a Fearow which is exactly what he was hoping would happen as it was one part of his plan for dealing with Bugsy. Now that Ace had reached his final evolutionary stage Tyler felt a bit more confident but as there were still some Pokemon on his list along with a few things in his plans still not ready to go he was not quite ready to go out and fight the bug maniac yet. With a few trees and bushes around him on fire he felt like he was the king of the route as son far none of the Pokemon who dared to step out had stood a chance. As he looked around hoping to find another victim he soon took notice of a Surskit that was trying to use it's bubble attack in a desperate attempt to put out the flames. He was not usually a fan of Bug type Pokemon seeing them as a waste of time with just a few exceptions but as Surskit were not exactly the most common Pokemon known to appear on the route he could not pass up a chance to capture one. He waited as the bug continued desperately kept trying to put the flames out to no avail as he slowly approached the bug trying not to scare it off. Flint sand Ace stayed behind as Tyler got just a few feet away from his target. Once he was close enough that he knew the bug would not be able to get away he made his move. He threw the Pokeball containing Sparky behind the bug trapping it between him and his Pokemon so it could not escape. Once he knew for sure that the bug was going to have no choice but to stay and fight Tyler looked over at Sparky who for his own sake had so far avoided any mistakes. Tyler then began to talk to the bug giving it the news it did not want to hear. " Yes it was me and my Pokemon that set this fire and yes you are going to battle me whether you like it or not. Sparky make sure you do not screw this up or I swear you will suffer a fate worse than death. Use Thunder Wave to paralyze that Bug so it cannot get away." He said as he hoped his plan would work. Ooc: Allowing Ace to evolve into Fearow and requesting a Surskit. Nidoran♂Name: Alexander Gender: Male Level: 12 Moves: Leer, Peck, Focus Energy, Double Kick Ability: Rivalry Nature/Personality: Adamant Alexander is a brave and strong willed Nidoran who will risk life and limb to protect his home. After being soundly defeated by Tyler he has been quite homesick however he is slowly learning to accept his fate as one of Tyler's tools. He does not like to work with any of Tyler's Pokemon or Tyler himself when given the choice as he has always been independent since he was little. He does have a love of battles however and is always looking for a fight whether it be a friend or foe so long as he gets to test his skills he is happy.

Knowing if a fire were to spread it would plunge the forested route and its neighbouring town, Azalea, into absolute chaos, the brave Surskit had skimmed over from a pond and despite only being somewhat attuned to the affinity of water, began to spurt out tiny little bubbles that were carried over by the wind and splatted over the searing flames. Amazingly, the bubbles were able to tame the fires somewhat but it would all for naught as Tyler caught wind of the creature's presence. Encounter
An unassuming Surskit (Level 14) is ambushed! Ordering his Pokemon Sparky to go in for an attack, it meant that the Pokemon would have no time to retaliate let alone respond. So focused on putting out the fires, the Pokemon had failed to pick up on Tyler's approach. It was only when Tyler opened his mouth and revealed he had caused this mayhem that the Surskit turned around. Sadly, as it turned, the Pokemon was greeted with the appearance of Sparky. An electrical surge cloaked around its aura, it was clear the Pokemon no longer wanted to be bearing the brunt of Tyler's wrath. Having practised this move enough, it was becoming quite efficient in being able to utilise it correctly. Landing before the Pokemon, the Electrike let out a howl as thunderous, paralytic waves coursed forwards, enveloping the Surskit in their imprisoning grip. Quaking erratically, the skinny legged pond skimmer let out a terrified cry as it struggled to do anything. Instead, the Pokemon's fear made it tap into a move it had no idea it had. If it had known of this move, it would have surely have attempted using it to put out the fires. Quivering uncontrollably, the Pokemon suddenly let out an incredible expulsion of water that rose high up into the air. As it did, gravity eventually took its course and with that, the area was drenched with a soaking water sport. Not only were the fires put out but the Surskit, Sparky and even Tyler were now wringing wet. Wild Battle

As soon as the Thunder Wave struck it's target it became apparent that the attack had crippled the Surskit. The terrified cry the bug let out as the attack left it hardly able to move was like music to Tyler's ears. He did not find it so funny however when the Surskit unleashed a Water Sport that left the area drenched including himself and Sparky. He did not care one bit if Sparky got soaked but getting wet himself was not something he expected nor appreciated. The fires slowly burning the route also were put out meaning he would have to go through the trouble of having Flint relight them after the battle made his hostile feeling towards the bug grow.
However despite his feelings he did not want to put the bug totally out of commission as he saw some use in a bug type that could use water type moves and as he began to think of all the evil things he could do with such a useful tool he decided instead of maiming the bug like he had mostly done to Sparky that a better course of action to take would be to slam the bug into as many trees as he could until the bug learned both respect. He also noticed that the bug was a big higher level than he had originally believed and that would certainly come in handy for Sparky who was lagging behind other members of Tyler's team.
As the young man took a better look at the devastation he had caused on the route to pass the time until he was satisfied with Surskit's suffering he was not very eager to let the destruction end just yet. Realizing that so long as Surskit resisted him however it would be pointless to start another fire as it would just put it out again he knew that the bug must be put in it's place and Sparky was going to have to be the sorry soul stuck with the task. The canine was still furious over how poorly Tyler treated him but as he was not a huge fan of getting wet this round was going to be personal. Sparky howled as deep and loud as his lungs would allow as he stood ready to make a move. Tyler wished that Sparky had another move that could do damage besides tackle but as that was his only damaging move he had no choice but to use it. " I really need to get some good TM's to teach you Sparky so your will not be so worthless but for now try a Tackle attack." He said not expecting much to come out of this next round.

Belittling Sparky on his lack of useful moves, the electric hound would one day be of some use but until that time came, he was going to be treated as the under dog. Drenched with water by the previous attack from the Surskit, the Electrike could feel the droplets of water drip from his static like fur all the way to the very tip of his nose. Irritated by this turn of events, Sparky scrunched his snout with intimidation and whilst it was nothing more than humorous for Tyler, the Surskit felt differently. Not used to seeing the Electrike species, the small water bug found the Pokemon a terrifying sight to behold. Much bigger and badder, everything from the sharpness of his claws down to his element struck the Surskit with worry. Plus, it's tiny body had been paralysed with a wave of thunder, making any evasion even harder.
With a snarl, Sparky suddenly sprang from his position, channelling all of his anger of Tyler into the attack which he would ultimately use on the Surskit. Moving awkwardly on the surface of the pond, every now and again the Pokemon would falter due to the paralysis and it was an infliction it definitely didn't need. Watching helplessly, the sight of the Electrike charging forward struck fear into his opponent, making it immobile. Paws splashing into the shallow water, Sparky hit the body of the Surskit, sending the small Pokemon flying back, legs curling inward defensively. Wearily, it uncoiled itself, body moving in a jagged manner. It was paralysed this turn and unable to strike back.

Still drenched from the Water Sport attack Tyler could care less if Sparky had finally learned to hit his target. Until the mutt learned a move that could do more damage than Tackle Tyler had no plans to show him any mercy. The only thing that prevented him from beating Sparky again was that his paralysis had prevented the bug from attacking. Although it was far from a spectacular sight Tyler enjoyed watching the bug struggle just enough that he chose not to beat poor Sparky to oblivion. The water dripping off of his clothes also worked in Sparky's favor as Tyler was still very displeased in the bug's decision to drench him and Sparky enough that he could not focus on punishing the canine.
Since he could not get dried off using anything around him and he did not have any Pokemon on him that could safely dry him off without giving him first degree burns in the process his only option was to suffer though the situation and hope that the bug would not decide to go on another water spree. Just as he was about to order Sparky to attack again he remembered that the bug was paralyzed and it would not be easy for it to make any sudden moves so there was no need to hurry and launch another attack. He could wait a while and make it suffer more from it's current condition before causing the bug even more pain just when it begins to think the worst part is over. As Sparky kept trying to get the remaining water out of his fur he began to get impatient.
The canine hated was not in the mood to stand around and watch the Surskit twitch helplessly. He wanted nothing more than to get dry again and since Tyler did not seem to want to give an order he took it upon himself to try and hurry things along. He barked at Tyler until the young man finally looked at him. Although the hound was impatient he did have a good point that just standing around doing nothing was not going to accomplish much. Considering his options Tyler finally decided to act so that Sparky would shut his mouth for a moment. " Alright you lazy mutt shut the help up already. If you really want to speed things along use another Tackle attack and do not slack off." Having received his orders Sparky got ready to charge at the Surskit for a second time.

Bounding forwards, Sparky was going at quite an astonishing pace. His ability to cause paralysis on his opponents had become far more effective but his attacking style would have to be worked on somewhat if he wanted to thwart and punish Tyler's foes. The fact a weakling paralysed bug like Surskit was still standing was testament to this. However, this battle would certainly give some practice in improving the move that was tackle. Legs thundering against the ground, the Electrike made short work of their distance before making a pounce like movement at the end, sending the Pokemon flying through the air before slamming into the pond skimmer Pokemon. Considering how uncooperative its body was being, the enemy Pokemon had no time at all to protect itself and took the full brunt of the move. Recoiling backwards as Sparky tackled into itself, the Surskit let out a pained gasp of agony as it struggled to keep itself conscious from the heavy hitting strike. Returning back to Tyler from the force of the hit, it would be interesting to see if this pathetic creature could muster even the slightest retaliatory action against Tyler and his aggressions. Straining its face, the Pokemon fought with the paralysis but and amazingly managed to overcome the locking of its joints. Disappointingly however, the retaliation would not be much. Spinning around on the spot, the Pokemon suddenly exuded a pleasant smelling waft in the form of Sweet Scent. Sending this over the gentle wind, the pleasant smelling aroma soon overcame the foul smelling burning that had plagued the trees and was likely to overload both Sparky and Tyler's senses if they breathed too much of the scent in. From the looks of things, Sparky had already suffered from this. Standing there rather absent mindedly, the electric canine could be seen sniffing the scent as he fixated himself on doing so, in effect, lowering his evasiveness. Wild Battle

Tyler thought that Surskit was just going to stay in one place and not try to defend itself at all as he watched Sparky collide with the bug again. Surskit did not seem to be a very powerful Pokemon to Tyler however as he had yet to see it try anything meaningful in it's defense. It was then that he began to smell an overwhelming sweet scent coming from the bug that canceled out the foul odor of the burnt trees. The sweet smell came as a bit of a shock to him as he had no idea that Surskit could use such an interesting move and as Sparky and himself struggled to breathe from the strength of the sweet smelling aroma he began to think about how he could use such an attack if Team Rocket ever bothered to put him on a mission.
He was just about to order an attack until he saw how much Surskit was struggling to keep up at this point. Although he wanted to put the bug through even more pain than it was already in he knew there was a very good chance that he would knock it out and that he would miss his chance to capture such a useful Pokemon. Tyler tried to clear his nose as he thought about what to do and Sparky began to rub dirt on his nose to try and cancel out the aroma as he waited. After giving it some thought Tyler had no choice but to show mercy again as he really saw the potential in this bug. If nothing else if would be an interesting Pokemon to use against Bugsy when the time came and it's Sweet Scent attack seemed to be a pretty useful move in combination with it's Water Sport.
" Today is your lucky day you little bug. I can tell you are more useful than you first appeared and I could really use a Pokemon that gets pests to lower their guard so I can strike them down without mercy. I am giving you a chance here to join the glorious Team Rocket to realize your full potential and I will not take no very lightly. Should you chose to try and break out of this ball Sparky will keep ramming you like a crash test dummy until you reconsider. Now without further to do go Pokeball capture Surskit." He said as the Pokeball left his hand as it headed for the small blue Pokemon.
Ooc: Tyler throws a Pokeball at the paralyzed Surskit. The Pokeball has been deducted. Funny fact the Pokeball when paralyzed had about the same chance of a capture as a Greatball without it being paralyzed.

Releasing it's sweet scent had given Surskit a little bit of breathing room. Sparky, who was interested in the smell at first had suddenly found it becoming far too sweet. Going as far as to rub his snout against the earth to try and rid his nostrils of this incredibly sweet aroma. Tyler had also fallen silent but probably for a reason the Surskit didn't want to know. It wasn't just Sparky he was violent against but every attack he order meant that his Pokemon had to comply. In short, he was far too violent for such a simple little bug such as Surskit. Still, it tried to defend it's home even if it was on it's last legs. Body weakened from all the battering tackle attacks it had taken, as well as the occasional spasm from the inflicted paralysis, it was certainly a miracle that Surskit was managing to find the inner strength to continue. But that wasn't going to last for too much longer.
The silence breaking with the voice of Tyler, the young Surskit angered it's expression. It knew that Tyler was plotting something but when he pulled out an empty Pokeball, it was probably one of the last things the bug expected. It was willing to be struck with hundreds more tackles rather a spend an eternity under his command. Trying to dart away, the Surskit's infliction kicked in right when it didn't need it. Front legs collapsing due to the paralysis, the Surskit looked helplessly from Sparky to Tyler until eventually, the Pokeball hit it's body. Being drawn inside, the ball hit the ground and began to shake from side to side but the outcome didn't take long to make itself known.

As his Pokeball rocked from side to side Tyler highly doubted that the bug would be able to escape. The paralysis had sapped a ton of the Surskit's energy and combined with Sparky's tackle attack Tyler was not surprised to hear his Pokeball click shut. Sparky on the other hand was quite vocal about his victory as he barked and howled towards the sealed Pokeball before it vanished. His excitement was short lived however when Tyler looked right at him with an evil grin on his face. Tyler's plan to burn down every last flammable object on the route was now ruined however that did not mean he was ready to display any kind of mercy to the routes inhabitant's by a long shot. Instead of burning what remained he was going to fry it with Sparky's thunder wave. " So you lucky little prick you managed to win. Good that proves you are not worthless but as that was still a bug type I am hardly impressed. I do have a new plan for this route however and you will play your part either voluntarily or by force. You see I am going to have you zap any cowardly soul on this route that crosses paths with us with one of your thunder waves so I can catch and later sell them for profit." As he finished explaining his plan to the electric canine Sparky just whimpered as he nodded. Seeing that Sparky had agreed to his plan Tyler then began to walk around an area of the route with many bushes surrounding him. As Flint and Ace slowly followed behind a Hoppip flew out of one of the bushes as a light breeze blew sending it flying right into a nearby tree before it slid down slowly coming to a stop at the base of the tree. Tyler had not battled a Hoppip on the route yet and since he fully planned to stick to his plan laid out after his last battle he saw this as a fantastic opportunity to see just how well his plan would go in practice. As Tyler looked at Sparky who had yet to follow the plan Tyler grabbed his whip and struck the ground in front of Sparky's feet. Realizing that Tyler wanted him to stick to the plan he began building up a small amount of electricity before taking aim at Hoppip. " Glad I got you attention, now use Thunder Wave on Hoppip or my next swing will be aimed at your face." Taking Tyler's threat to heart Sparky got ready to make his move. Ooc: Thank you for the reply Morrigan I will be keeping Sparky's current moves. Requesting a Hoppip this time around and Sparky uses Thunder Wave. Vs. Hoppip - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Hoppip in question had been minding its own business while drifting through the route, looking for a good place to either find food or more Hoppip to buddy up with. Loneliness had spurred it into leaving its cozy perch high up in the trees, and left it at the mercy of the wind. Buffeted about unmercifully by wind it had woefully misjudged, poor Hoppip was blown straight into Tyler's path, painfully colliding with a tree and reeling with shock even as it plummeted straight to the ground. Coming to a stop, Hoppip shook itself weakly to regain some sense of the world, oblivious for a moment to the danger lurking just behind it.
A wild Hoppip (Level 15) appeared!
Between the pain at hitting the tree and falling several feet down, it took a moment for Hoppip to reorient itself. It whirled round at the crack of the whip Tyler had threatened Sparky with, the small bulb shrinking back in terror as it found itself faced with a battle. Stuck on the ground gave it no advantage here, and left it a sitting duck for Sparky to target with a concentrated jolt of electricity. Wasting little time with the cringe-inducing thought of being stricken by that horrible whip, Sparky's aim was true and hit Hoppip dead on, the fallen Grass-type squeaking as its muscles began to spasm uncontrollably. Not looking back at Tyler to see if he'd done well, the Electrike kept a careful eye on his foe as Hoppip tried to regain control of itself enough to hop away from the base of the tree. Eyes squeezed shut in determination, it almost seemed like it would succeed in doing something in return to him, only to fall victim to another horrible spasm that left it immobile on the ground just a few feet shy of Sparky. Hoppip's yellow eyes slowly re-opened, narrowing defiantly as it stared hard at both trainer and Pokémon. What would these bullies do to it next?

Seeing Sparky score a direct hit on Hoppip meant that step one of his plan was a stunning success. Compared Sparky's poor aim against Qwilfish the canine had gained laser accuracy for his Thunder Wave which was very good news. He had still not forgiven the fish for making him look like a fool. It was not the only reason he was being so heartless to the Pokemon he encountered during his rampage but it still burned in his mind and as he watched Hoppip twitch from the effects of the thunder wave he started to picture a Qwilfish under the same circumstances and he kept hoping that his revenge would not have to wait much longer. Although Bugsy was still at the top of his to best list Qwilfish was not far behind.
Hoppip's determined eyes looking at him very much reminded him of that annoying fish and although it was not quite as good as the fish itself he still got a feeling of satisfaction as the plant Pokemon struggled to move a muscle. Like all the other Pokemon Sparky had crippled with thunder wave Tyler felt nothing but joy in their suffering and Hoppip was no exception despite having done nothing at all to him. Sparky still terrified of Tyler's whip did not dare show any remorse either fearing even more gruesome wounds if he did. The canine silently stood watching Hoppip as Tyler began to pick on it for being so weak in his eyes. " I have seen some poor evasive attempts in my life but even Slakoth move with more life than that. You are very fortunate I have a trainer who is willing to buy you or else I would off you here and save myself some time. Don't let that fool you however as I still plan on making your life a living hell before I capture you for my client."
Finally ready to act on part two of his plan to capture Hoppip he planned to repeat the exact same strategy he had used in the previous battle which worked out very well. Tyler snapped his fingers to gain Sparky's attention as he laid down the law. " Listen here you sack of crap, I want you to show this plant how Team Rocket gets things done do you understand me?" As the mutt barked back Tyler took it as a yes. " Good you are at least not quite as dumb as you've led me to believe. Now use Tackle and show no mercy."

Already uncomfortable with the situation, Hoppip did it's best to move it's body to escape the cruel battle, and the even crueler eyes of the angry trainer. Why was he so mean? Hoppip was merely minding it's own business. The shock hadn't quite worn off yet, mentally and physically. As Tyler began to 'roast' the poor wild Pokemon, Hoppip shrunk away, trying to make itself smaller and smaller. Just what had Hoppip done to deserve such taunts? Hoppip thought it was quite a good Pokemon, and definitely more reactive than a Slakoth... just about everything was. Ready to lash out at the trainer, Hoppip tried to move it's body, but the Paralysis had taken hold once more.
Apparently happy with the verbal lashing, Tyler retreated back and had Sparky follow up with an attack. Verbal and physical abuse hadn't been the plan today for the young Hoppip, so this was quite the traumatic experience. The hound, visualizing the Qwilfish it couldn't hit before, slammed into Hoppip with a false sense of satisfaction. Sparky would avoid the whip, Hoppip was being weakened for capture (why else would Tyler have Sparky just tackle it, right?) and Hoppip would be on the receiving end of the taunts and jeers. Maybe even the whip, if it didn't cooperate early on. With every whip crack, Hoppip shrunk back smaller and smaller, trying to make itself invisible as it cringed. Wild Hoppip - Level |15| Health: 30/40 Current Status: *hrk* Paralyzed! Hoppip was paralyzed, and unable to move!

With the Hoppip unable to make a move for the second turn in a row Tyler felt absolutely no pity at all for it. He was not sure if Sparky had just gotten lucky twice in a row or if the canine's Thunder Wave was truly that effective but it did not make any major difference to him. So long as he managed to get this battle over with and sell it to the buyer he did not care how badly Sparky's attack may have crippled Hoppip. The fact that the poor creature could not even launch an attack left him less than impressed and though Sparky might not of had great moves he had at least done something this round.
Not fearing any kind of retribution from the plant and he took his sweet time watching yet another one of his victims instead of immediately calling another attack. Tyler's obsession with pain and suffering seemed to grow with each and every battle and there was no signs of it stopping anytime soon as he chuckled at Hoppip as it continued to struggle with it's affliction. His sick twisted mind continued to think of the suffering the poor plant was going through as he stood there still lacking any kind of remorse whatsoever. As Hoppip was seemingly either unwilling or unable to make a move after a while Tyler had finally decided to go another round just so he could put the poor thing through even more pain.
Sparky who had been patiently waiting for Tyler to order another attack although deep in his heart he knew what the next attack was going to be well before Tyler even said it being the only move that he knew that caused damage. He cringed at the thought of having to tackle Hoppip again however he was certainly not going to get whipped for refusing either and so he stood ready for the inevitable order. " That pathetic insignificant pest might not be able to attack at the moment but I sure as hell am not going to let it off this easily. Sparky you do know what I want you to do right?" As he had already gotten accustomed to the battle plan Sparky nodded. Tyler then pointed towards Hoppip before he started to speak again. " Good now you lazy little mutt get your hide in gear and use Tackle on that weakling so that it might just finally have enough courage and determination to fight back."

No Pokemon could fault Sparky for feeling bad about fighting the Hoppip. However, after dealing with Tyler for a few minutes, no Pokemon would fault Sparky for continuing on with the battle. It was as much self preservation as it was working for one's trainer. Sparky was placed between a whip and a Pokemon, and obviously Sparky only truly had one choice, no matter how bad the pup felt about it. With the Hoppip paralyzed, it didn't take much for Sparky to dash forward and slam his body into the startled creature. Tyler was getting what he asked for, at least.
Rolling off to the side, Hoppip managed to get back onto it's little stubby feet. Due to the paralysis, even it's leaves on the top of it's head were still. However, with a little bit of willpower and strength, Hoppip got them moving again to take to the sky to release it's attack. It was probably something horrifyingly strong, or just terrible in strength. This was going to be a battle Sparky would remember and rue the day! It would be something Sparky would remember, at least.
Hoppip lowered itself onto the ground, instead of making any moves towards Sparky and began to bounce up and down, as if it were trying to splash water around to scald Sparky. However, with no water, and with Splash being a useless move in the first place, absolutely nothing happened. Sparky looked over his shoulder. This was the perfect fodder Tyler needed to continue taunting the poor creature. At least it had managed an attack, but performance anxiety just made it pick the absolute wrong one.
