Casino Fountain Situated at the entrance of the game corner is an illustrious fountain that is said to disperse good fortune, all at the cost of a single game corner coin.  Make a wishIn order to participate, you must post in this topic and have at least one game corner coin to spare. These can be obtained through a number of means; purchase, gifted from other members, won from the game corner. By flicking a coin into the fountain with one of your characters, there is a chance you'll receive one of many possible rewards. However, if you are unlucky, you will not receive anything. Win or lose you may try once a week. Once posted, keep an eye out as a member of staff will update your post with the outcome. Weekly reset is on Sunday. The site time is at the bottom of the forum above the CBox. |

Aglaia walked up to the new fountain, sat up a quiet corner of the Game corner. She sighed and smiled. It was nice with a little break from the moisy room where she had been sitting and gambling. At least it wasn't smokey too! A part of her still felt embarrassed about being here, but since it was the only way for her to get a specific item, she had little choice. She sat down at the edge and looked into the shallow, troubled water. She fished out a single game coin and let it plop into the well. she followed its way to the bottom and smiled again.

Slinking over the edge of the fountain, Joey peers through the watery depth to the treasure trove of game coins that are littered amongst the fountain's base. Taking a look at the rest of the fountain with some detail, he moved back slightly as a sudden array of water bursting from front to back causing a small amount of water to ripple in the vicinity. His eyes falling back down to the coins below, he dug into his game case and took out a single coin which he left balanced on the tip of his thumb. " What's there to lose with just one coin? I pretty much half inched this from that slob who was letting his spill out everywhere. Here goes!" Flicking his thumb up, he watched as the coin went spinning upwards before it came crashing down and met the water with a plonk, sinking to the depths to be with the other collection of coins.

Akari leaned over the fountain, his hands braced against the cold stone that bordered the pool. His green eyes gazed at the water, their reflection bright in the twilight reflection. Beneath the rippling water lay many scattered coins, sunken to the bottom and layered upon each other in a haphazardous way, spilled out in a gleaming array upon the bottom of the pool. With a soft sigh, Akari closed his eyes, shifting his balance as he dug through his belt pocket with one hand, grasping one of the few scattered coins that resided in the small pocket. Holding it in front of him, he opened his eyes again, green irises glowing in the dark lighting. His wrist jerked slightly, and his fingers snapped against the hard coin, sending it spinning upward in an arc. He watched as it hit the water and then sunk down in silence, leaving only the ripplings of the pouring fountain to cover any trace of it having ever not been there at the bottom of the water. A whisper of a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as his gaze lingered a moment on the dull shine of the submerged coin.

Dorthea looked at water, caught with fascination by the play of light and sound, as spouts of water sprayed up in the air and splashed down on the fountain's surface, creating neverending ripples. The coins at the bottom only added to the light, and Dorthea almost cheered at the show. She saw someone drop a coin into the water, and thought what a good idea that was. She could be a part of this no matter how small. So she dug in her coin case, and fisted one single coin. It had taken a lot of work to get them, so she spend them only very carefully. That one coin she held for a moment, while she looked for the perfect spot to throw it, and then she tossed it, aiming for the inner circle. She hoped it ended in a nice, big pile of other coins.

Standing before the luxurious fountain that stood as a centre piece at the entrance of the Game Corner, Sharada's icy blue eyes gleamed as she took in it's beauty. The multiple layers of water rippled as several spouts shot upward in the shape of an arc, the droplets reflecting the glowing lights, making it look almost magical. Closing an eye, she leaned her body to one side, her hand sliding into her pocket and rummaging around until she lifted out a single gold coin. She had seen other people flick in coins and the base of the fountain had already accumulated a fair amount. Deciding to add an extra one by joining in on the harmless fun, the brunette stuck her tongue out childishly, as she concentrated on flicking the coin with her thumb and aiming it into the water.

Justin scratched the back of his neck sheepishly as he approached the large fountain. Was he really about to spend his hard earned coin on a silly wishing fountain? To be fair, he'd spend his precious time waiting for lighting to change, so he could get a different lighting situation for a photo, so why the heck not? Digging into his pocket, Justin pulled out his coin case to give the fountain a try. He wasn't normally the gambling type, but what could go wrong? "I'll add one more coin to the fishin' fund, eh?" He chuckled to himself, flicking the coin into the water. Weren't kids usually trying to pick this stuff up? He wondered how they'd feel when they realized it was coins they couldn't use to gamble with... Ah well. Justin crossed his fingers some luck would come his way.

Marchbaby had recently heard about a wishing fountain installed in the casino. In the past he had sketchy luck at best and he did not have many coins left over from his gambling days. He was running low on Pokedollars as well so he was not very intrested in buying more but the idea behind the fountain seemed simple enough. Throwing a single coin for a chance of getting a prize seemed like only a small gamble at worst. Reaching into one of the compartments in his backpack he grabbed a coin and threw it in the well.

Alex had probably been in the Game Corner for a while, and after waiting for the fountain to finish construction, he decided to wait a bit after the crowd was gone to visit. After all, he had some High-Low to finish! Holding a single coin on his hand, he casually threw it toward the second lowest layer, and see what would happen.

Matthew wasn't much for gambling. Or at least, he liked to think so. His thinking was slightly flawed, though, in the way that he was easily distracted by the machines and whatnot one found in casinos. High intellect, but the attention span of a fruit fly when it came to games, it would seem. Statistically speaking, the chances of getting anything from this fountain were less than stellar. Not to mention the fact that he tended to ignore 'wishes and luck'. Nevertheless, he took a coin from his pocket and flipped it, watching it land in the fountain with a 'splash'.

Having spent a good amount of time racking up the wins with hi-lo, Joey had come out of the games room themselves and found himself back in the calming presence of the casino's fountain that adorned the main foyer. " Ahhh, somethin' about this is pure bliss. The trickling water, the glittering coins along the bottom... That or the fact I picked up a ticket just after tipping in a coin last time. Eh, it's all good." Sitting at the edge of the fountain where there was some space, he looked back down into the water and gazed between his reflection and the abundance of coins littered along the fountain bed. Digging deep into his pockets, the rogue thief looking at the coin he had just procured and grinned. Flipping it over, side by side, he examined it carefully. " So, Lady Luck smiles upon me in the games, I wonder if she's smiling enough to bless me with a lil' bit of luck here too?" Kissing the coin, he extended out his arm and with a definite flick of his thumb, watched as the gold coin went splashing into the water and slowly sunk in with the rest of the coins. Not having much luck the previous week, Sharada had noticed a number of people had lucked out after throwing in a coin but not so much herself. Since the last time she stood at the base of the glamorous fountain, it had since accumulated a large amount of coins. Huffing disinterestedly with a snooty turn of her nose, she mumbled out loud to herself, no doubt catching the ears of one or two passing by gamblers. "What gives? Why does everyone but me have luck? I guess it has just never been my thing." Somewhat tempted to walk off and spend her lone coin on a actual machine after being reminded of her dejection from last time, she couldn't help but release a sigh. A part of her wanted to try again. Trying not to think too much of it, she flicked another coin into the fountain, trying to not set her hopes too high.

Aglaia retreated back to the quiet area around the new Fountain. She needed a break from the gambling to persuade herself to continue it. She had just lost a few rounds, and as she had been raised to look down on gambling, it was hard to continue when it confirmed everything she believed about it: That it was only there to make you lose all your hard earned money. "You need it!" She thought for herself and found out her note book to remind herself of why she was doing it. It did not help. A woman she passed muttered something about everyone else than she had luck, which made Aglaia smile wryly. Yeah, she had so much luck herself, though hearing others too didn't win, did not help to convince her about continuing either. Wystan looked curiously around when she called him out and his eyes got big when he saw the fountain. "Beeeeeh." He murmured in awe and Aglaia smiled fondly. He had probably lived in teh forest his whole life and had never seen things like the inside of the Game Corner before. "It's called a fountain, it's made to give players a calm place to relax between their games." She explained him, though he didn't look like he heard her. "Bee-e-e?" He asked and pointed at all the shimmering coins on the bottom, since he did not understood why they were there. He had seen Aglaia use similar things before, perhaps she got them from this thing? "People throws them down there for good luck and..." Aglaia started to explain but stopped abruptly when Wystan bent down to pick some of them up. "No! You don't pick them up!" She exclaimed and grabbed his stinger to stop him. He looked pluzzled at her. "You only throw them in, I guess they are going to some kind of charity." She told him and looked around for a sign to prove it but couldn't see any. She couldn't believe all the coins would just lay down there with to no use at all, that would be such a waste! "Let me show you." Aglaia said with a smile and Wystan looked excited as she picked up a coin and flipped it from her fingers. Both their eyes followed its swirling fall towards the water, which ended with a soft plop.

As Marchbaby reentered the casino he headed straight for the fountain. The last time he used it he got rather lucky and got a nice reward out of it so he figured he should try again. It seemed like quite a few people had tossed coins in since the last time and he hoped that all the good luck in the fountain had not run out. He reached into his backpack yet again to grab another coin. " I guess it cannot hurt to try this again as it worked pretty well last time. Here goes nothing." he said as he tossed the coin into the water.

"C'mon, guys! We're gonna be late!"Justin exclaimed, checking his watch and grabbing all of his equipment. So, there were a few things that had happened that day. 1. He may or may not have gotten carried away with the Hi Lo game. Two. He may or may not have forgotten he had a prior engagement to attend. Three. He may or may not have 5 minutes to be in Azalea at his estate. Simba scurried at Justin's side, holding a bag in his mouth while the Gallade held a bag and ran alongside Justin as well. They had quite a few coins to store, but there wasn't any time. Passing the giant fountain, Justin stopped in his tracks. Something told him he should probably put a coin in. Perhaps it was fate telling him to pay up, and he wouldn't be late? "Simba! Toss one of those coins in for good luck! We're definitely gonna need it..." Justin murmured, putting down his bag to help Simba fish out a coin. The little bit of gold was a bit too small for the Luxray to handle on his own, but with Surreo and Justin's help, the eventually tossed the small coin into the fountain. "Haha! Nice. Now, let's hustle and bustle, boys.."
