Astrid sighed and sat down near the fountain, it was getting cold and she wanted to go back under her blankets. She smiled wistfully, to be home and have the wood stove on, sitting under a blanket with a cup of tea. That was the life and she jokingly scolded herself for having given it up to start walking all around the region. A coin was flipped into the water and Astrid pulled herself back up and continued with the days tasks, it was good to have something to do.
Lei stretched, she had been tense today for some reason and her muscles were sore. It was a bit annoying, it wasn't like she had done much other than guiding her pokemon around in their daily training, she would expect them to be sore as they had actually done some physical work today. She flipped in a coin with the wish she would get a day off soon.
Dorthea felt like swearing, as she stubbed her already sore big toe against the wall of the fountain. However, children was everywhere just now, and she would be setting a bad example if she did. She didn't fancy getting reprimanded by the resident Santa for being naughty either. The arrival of December the first had brought all things Christmas-y to even the Casino area, and that included the current red-clad, white-bearded fellow currently occupying a wildly decorated chair between the fountain and the eating places. Dorthea sighed and picked out a coin to drop in the water. She hoped the toe would get better soon. She couldn't do much travelling, if it kept hurting.
Lei flopped down on a bench beside the fountain, the smell of pines and roasted almonds filled the area and the fountain was decorated and was shimmering and twinkling with all the lights and baubles. It didn't really make Lei happy though, she usually liked the time but this looked to be one she had to celebrate on her own for once, which she hadn't ever done before. It was too far to travel all the way back to Alola and she wasn't sure she was welcome after that last argument, she had thought about buying some presents to send to her family nevertheless, but she didn't have as much money as when she lived at home, so she wasn't sure what to get them. She didn't want to look poor. She didn't know if they planned on giving her anything either. With a sigh she flipped a coin into the water and pouted.
