Joey strolled up to the fountain casually and with a deep dig of his pocket, found a coin. Dusting it off thoughtfully as he looked at the impressive display, he eventually took aim and tossed it in with an agile flip of his thumb.

Astrid refused to hurry and she refused to do things only half. If she was going to spent time doing something, she would do it throughoughly and probably go a bit too much into unimportant details, but that was not the point! She didn't want to waste time on halfheartedly things, life was short and she wanted to enjoy whatever she had left. She stood at the edge of the fountain, droplets of water sitting in her hair and on her clothes, as she carefully picked a game corner coin form her purse. She turned it over in her hand as she thought about if it should this one or not, and ended up putting it back and pick up another. She wanted it to be a sparkly new one so it would look good down in the water. The second one was up to her standards. She held the hand with the coin to her chest and closed her eyes as she wished, really wished, that her journey would bring her closer to her granddaughters again. She held out her hand and let the coin fall into the water, and watched the ripples slowly move outward until they were absorbed by the splashes from the fountain.

Anastasia steps to the fountian, and bravley tosses in one of ehr coins. She had heard of wishes being granted, so she was hoping it would happen to her. "Please let lady luck smile on me.." The young girl said, before she started to sit patiently there, waiting.

Martin looked at the people, who dropped in coin after coin with serious or excited faces. It was such a frivolous thing, yet so many paid their due unflinching, and Martin studied their expressions, while he himself kept his own locked in 'open curiosity'. At last he rose from his seat, and strolled to the water, Thief trailing close behind. The cat had behaved himself today, staying no more than two feet from Martin at all times, and Martin smiled brightly at him, when they reached the edge of the fountain, waving for him to jump up, and passed him a coin. Thief hesitated a tiny moment at Martin's innocent face, but then jumped up with an expressive 'meow', took the coin like they had seen so many Pokemon of trainers do, and let it slip into the water on purpose. The water swashed close to his feet, and Thief shook his paws, before jumping off away from the annoying element. Martin chuckled, and told the cat they were leaving. This was enough studying for today. Time to get some work done.
