Astrid hurried through the Casino as it was the shortest route to the shop that had what she needed for the dinner she would be doing for her guests. She paused shortly beside the fountain and made sure she had remembered her purse, and a coin fell out and landed on the floor. She looked surprised after it and sighed as it was so far down. "Can you throw it in?" She asked Janus, who was sitting on her trolley. The joltik crawled down and dragged the coin into the fountain. Astrid waited until he was back on his usual spot, before she hurried on.

Starring into the fountain, barely letting her fingers touch the surface. "Dear fortunes, must we always fight?"Ironic, to ask that question here, in this place full of competition. Lin let the coin drop, watching it sink to the bottom.

A red-haired female nimbly made her way to the fountain, dug out of her pockets a coin and quickly flipped it into the fountain before moving off back to her adventures.

Joey strolled up to the fountain casually and with a deep dig of his pocket, found a coin. Dusting it off thoughtfully as he looked at the impressive display, he eventually took aim and tossed it in with an agile flip of his thumb.

Astrid felt weirdly and had a strong feeling that she had missed something, that she had been really unlucky and not gotten something she had wished for, but she couldn't remember what it should be. She didn't have a feeling of some disaster had happened and the only thing she really wished for was to spent more time with her granddaughters, and dreaming that she could get a better relationship with her own children as well. She threw a coin in the fountain with the wish that she hadn't lost something important and that everything would turn out allright.

It was getting a bad habit, Martin thought, as he watched individuals of every age drop in coin after coin to whatever god they believed in. Something about luck, he presumed. It could hardly be anything else in a place like this. He studied their expressions of hope or desire, indifference or excitement. Some did it so casual, flipping in a coin like they didn't even think about it. Others took their time, letting their eyes rest on many a coin, before they settled on a single one, looking rather wistful. It was a great place to gather expressions, Martin would give it that. He just wasn't sure, he wanted to part from yet another coin. It was silly. Martin looked at his reflection in one of the shop windows, carefully folding his expression into a mimic of one he had seen today: the wistful one. He was pretty sure he hadn't done that one before. It felt like a stranger to his facial muscles. When he was satisfied, and felt comfortable in being able to hold it without visual guidance, he took the steps towards the fountain, turned a coin trice in his hand, and slid it into the water.
