Rhoan had been very chatty at the beginning of the battle but as it begun to progress, her interest in conversing did as well. Bugsy watched from his standing position, holding his bug net firmly in one of his hands. It had been thanks to this trainer that he was able to be introduced to such a sweet, little Joltik but now the battle was approaching the end, she was beginning to make the face most challengers did. Maybe it was his fascination of bug Pokemon that spooked people, that or the mixture of power, speed and repetitive U-Turn that he would continue to order. Regardless, it had been an interesting battle but he still wasn't ready to give up, not just yet. His Scyther was exhausted due to the previous Flamethrower and lingering burn that now plagued her and without his precious cocoons or healing items, she was left to suffer. Rhoan's Charmeleon also looked worse for wear. For someone who was so set on not using the fiery lizard at the start, he was left to ponder why she was so quick to send it out against his Scyther. She had mentioned being pushed into the corner but Bugsy knew that, just like the others, she too wanted the fight to just hurry up and end.
"Well, this has been a close call! I don't think I have any tricks left up my sleeve to get out of this one. Looks like we are backed into a corner, also." Smiling somewhat, Bugsy knew that another blast of flames like that would surely finish his partner off. Only, with his slight bluff, he hoped to have the upper hand last minute, the only problem being the burn affliction which was disrupting Scyther's attacks. "Scyther's U-Turn is powerful but it is not the only thing she excels at. For Scyther, speed is key." Incredibly coming across as ordering a completely different move for once, Bugsy pointed his bug net forward in front of him and boldly ordered his move, "Now Scyther, use Quick Attack! Let us see if we can turn this battle around!" With his very words, despite her pain, the Scyther moved into a speedy blur. Reappearing before Tyrana, the tired Charmeleon winced somewhat as a pair of scythe like arms were raised before coming crashing down on her.
Roaring out as her feet tripped back, with the Scyther in close proximity, her eyes flared up. Parting her jaw, she let rip a vicious gush of flames that engulfed Scyther's entire body. "No! Scyther!" Bugsy cried out worriedly whilst wearing a heavy look of concern. Right before his eyes, his precious bug Pokemon was burning up to a crisp and with a sudden thud, her body fell to the ground. For a moment, Bugsy remained motionless and even he wasn't sure why. His role as a Gym Leader meant that others had prior knowledge to his type and even Pokemon if they did their research. But seeing his Pokemon torched with flames countless times, he didn't know whether he should take being blasted by fire as a compliment, due to being a challenging opponent or just plain annoying. Sighing, for now, he couldn't let this bother him and with a raise of his hand, withdrew his fainted friend.

Trying not to come across too devastated at his loss, Bugsy turned back to Rhoan with a mature smile. "Very well done, Miss Xavia! That was a battle truly worth remembering. It was a shame I didn't get the chance to battle your Joltik but regardless, your other Pokemon were outstanding." Bowing his head respectively, the boy then stepped forward, speaking whilst approaching her. "I know I mentioned that several other challengers would often use Charmeleon but yours was exceptional! Never have I seen such a strong burst of flames. She is very well trained." Standing before the red head, Bugsy held his hands forward, presenting her with a number of items. "I present to you, the Hive Badge. This is proof that you were able to best the Bug Encyclopaedia." Smiling once again, clearly it was a nickname that he was proud of. "I also present you with victory money and a technical machine which may prove useful to you... U-Turn!" Not really needing to give her a proper explanation of the move since she had both witnessed and been a victim to it a number of times, he trusted she would make good use of the move. "Thank you once again for the challenge. I wish you luck in the rest of your journey!" With that, the boy turned and exited into the rear of his Gym.

Rhoan's teeth gritted as she watched the tension fly through the air. She was still mentally kicking herself, and she would until a day or so after the badge was obtained. Tyrana was a last resort, and true, this was a last resort situation, but she'd done so much in a fit of arrogance that now she was stuck in the shadow of a situation she didn't like. Here she was, in a Bug Gym, using the Pokemon she said she wouldn't. Here she was, in a Bug Gym, getting her ass kicked by a kid. Granted, she shouldn't feel too bad, considering that he was a Gym Leader for a reason, but that was the only thing that kept her going. She was going to win eventually. She had enough Pokemon to stall the burn long enough for one of her Pokemon to become victorious, but what kind of win was that? That was a win where you grappled for whatever foothold you could. That wasn't a decisive win.
Frustrated with herself, Rhoan watched as Bugsy commanded his Scyther to do something different for once. Quick Attack was quite the attack, considering if Scyther had enough gumption to push Tyrana to 0. Taking her out before she could attack would prolonge the bug's life, and just drag the battle out. Reaver was her last bet, given her electricity. If Tyrana fainted, well, it'd be up to her. Given the type, Rhoan figured that Reaver could finish off the Pokemon as long as she could survive one turn. Thankfully, that wouldn't be needed. The quick attack was strong, and Tyrana wobbled, but still stood. Rhoan watched with an intense gaze as the Scyther fell to the flames. Part of her felt bad, but on the other hand, this was what Bugsy was here for. He should feel good that he forced Rhoan to use another fire type.
"Great job!" Rhoan smiled, watching Tyrana run over to her in the facade. Making careful strides to not mention her Pokemon's name, Rhoan gave Tyrana a pat on her head before returning her to rest in the Pokeball. Reaver took her cue (thankfully she wasn't needed to shut the Gym Leader up for a quick escape) and snuggled Bugsy's cheek before bouncing off his shoulder and into the grasses. A few seconds later, she was on Rhoan's shoulder, rubbing on her cheek as well. Ignoring the gesture, Rhoan approached Bugsy and shook his hand, taking her badge, money, and TM. U-turn... could definitely be useful, right? After all, Bugsy could take out her team with it. Hopefully she'd put it to good use. "Thank you for the good battle. I definitely got what I was looking for." She dipped her head, scarred face exposing itself only momentarily before she turned and walked out the door, grinning like a Cheshire cat. She'd done it.
