As Joey moved in and out of the side streets, his venture lead him to the heart of Olivine City itself, where he was able to spot a bit of panic unfolding before him. The faint voices only grew louder as he began to approach and with his laid back, carefree attitude attempted to jut in, in order to work out just what had happened. Face flushed red in anger, the parent turned to Joey, giving the biker a good chance to look over just what he was about to be dealing with. Short and dumpy, the casually dressed man wore a harness, of which kept his Pichu-styled clad young son safely attached to his back. In his hands was a simple brown paper bag, of which he began to crumple up into a ball angrily. "Ice cream?! No, no, no. Something way more valuable than that!" Grunting, he pointed a thumb towards the building they were standing before.
"Olivine Cafe do THE best lunches. I was in the queue for what felt like hours!... It is worth it though, let me tell ya. Their lunches are divine!" Pinching his thumb and index together together as his pulled a look of pure joy at the thought, his face soon turned back to that of thunder. "I decide to grab a seat outside today. I put the lunch down and turn my back for one minute and CHAOS! This little yellow bugger just jumps on up and swipes my lunch right in front of me! Of course, I would've chased after it if I didn't have my son with me. He didn't help, all squirming and laughing like it was some sort of game!" Down trodden, his shoulders slumped forward in a depressed manner. He was clearly looking forward to this lunch.
However, it was only when Joey mentioned a brief description of the culprit that the man felt a vein twitch in his forehead angrily. "Yeah... It was here alright! Why? You know it?!" Growing defencive, the man immediately grabbed a Pokeball from his belt, to which the young boy on his bag chuckled and began clapping his little hands excitedly despite his father's frustrations. "Typical. I bet you are it's trainer, you look the type to let your Pokemon run amok... I'll teach ya not to ruin my darn lunch time!"
Angry Tourist Blanch is blaming Joey for his stolen lunch! Blanch sends forward Vileplume (Level 33) to start a battle!

Scanning the area and having come across nothing even remotely relevant to what he was chasing, Joey's focus shifted back onto the man he was speaking too. Having been so distracted he hadn't really been paying attention to the majority of the father's words but he tried working himself back into the conversation. "The cafe huh? Man, that place keeps gettin' mentioned. I'm gonna have t'eat there sometime or another. Guess not now with this lil' terror on the loose." Taking another look around, Joey began to lose track of the man's ramblings about the recollection of events. Bringing a hand over the cusp of his chin, he caressed it over against his stubble deep in thought. Given the Elekid had already struck once, he was pretty sure he wouldn't strike twice in the same area so perhaps it was time enough to go elsewhere. The longer he stooped around here listening to this man grumble on would only mean the Elekid would get away with another bit of frivolity. About to excuse himself, Joey raised an eyebrow as his attention was thoroughly reprimanded by the sudden turn of hostility by the aggrieved man. "Woah, woah woah! What's with the sudden mood swing dude?"
Eyeing the man up with a greater sense of relevancy now he was reaching for his Pokeball, Joey cursed his ability to land in these sort of situations under his breath. "Tch... You sure do know how to land yerself in this sorta..." Before he could finish, his would be opponent let loose a rather derogatory mark which was enough to make Joey lose his cool. "What the hell did'ya just say about me?!" His eye twitching and reaching for a Pokeball of his own, it was clear Joey didn't take too kindly to the man's idea that Joey let his Pokemon do whatever they wanted. "No point tryin' to school me when i'm gonna learn you somethin' about how I deal with my Pokemon." About to raise his voice a bit further, Joey looked over to the man's kid and let out a heated sigh. "You oughta be glad I ain't gonna disturb yer little one. I'm still gonna kick your ass though." Without even thinking about what Pokemon he would use or assessing the trainer's choice, Joey flipped forward his Pokeball at the same time to reveal Voltek. Considering all the effort the Electivire had put in up until now over the whole affair, it was unfortunate the Pokemon wasn't getting more of a rest.
Cracking his neck from side to side before doing the same with his knuckles, Joey spoke out. "I'm sorry about ya damn ice cream but you can't go about judgin' people like that. Voltek! Give that oversized plant an Ice Punch will ya? Maybe that'll make up for the lost treat." Acknowledging the order and readying for battle Voltek clenched a fist, no doubt stealing the spotlight from Joe to himself. There was perhaps some irony in all this in the fact that the Elekid causing trouble was of the same species line of both Voltek and Elektek, two Pokemon of which were under Joey's command. To this stranger, it seemed highly probable that troublemaker was one of Joe's.

Simply wanting to fill the huge, gaping hole in his stomach with the delicious lunch from the nearby Cafe, his previous excitement from the idea of munching on such delicious food had changed to disappointment within moments. Now, he not only was lacking a lunch but he was starting a Pokemon battle on an empty, grumbling stomach. But he seemed to have a gut feeling that the lunch thief belonged to this shady looking trainer. The boy had come across all jovial and nice but the man was on edge and over thinking things, ultimately feeling that Joey was part of the plan to ruin the man's day. Which in itself was rather arrogant of him. The child on his back bubbling baby sounds and wriggling excitedly in the harness, the man known as Blanch tossed forward his chosen PokeBall, revealing that of a Vileplume.
Spinning elegantly on the spot, the large flower bore a smiling face under all the petals and turned to see her trainer. Only, something was wrong. Unlike the caring looks he would often wear, the Pokemon could sense that something was wrong. Tilting her body curiously, she listened as Blanch flung more words back at Joey. "You heard me! I bet you steal lunches all the time with the help of that little rascal! I'm gonna teach you a lesson, punk!" Shaking his fist in the air, the Vileplume hopped on the spot uncomfortably, looking between her own trainer and this unknown male, waving her hands and squeaking her own cry as if to try and calm the situation. Only, things were made worse with Joe's choice of Pokemon. As Voltek stomped forward, the mere sight of the Electivire caused the tourist to stomp on the spot.
"THAT! It looked just like... THAT! It was a bit smaller but the markings were the same! It is you! You got a WHOLE team of 'em! Troublemaker! Scoundrel! THIEF!" His face becoming redder in frustration, the Vileplume turned to face Voltek, even if she was just as confused by the situation. Still, she knew Blanch, he must've been upset by something serious to react this badly! Pulling a more focused glare, she decided to follow his order for now. "Use Acid, Vileplume! Stop that outlaw in his tracks! We'll teach him to steal my food!" ...Pausing, she rolled her eyes. Was food really the main source of the problem here? Her moment of pause being a dire choice, Voltek spared no moment in thrusting an icy fist forward, striking the giant plant directly in the face.
Spiralling backward and landing face first on the cold, hard ground, the grass type should've been taken out from such an icy strike but with an intense flow of determination, she had managed to get back up. Breathing heavily, the Vileplume turned to face the Electivire, her flower pulsating numerous times before a great gush of acid shot from the centre. Hitting the body of Voltek and absorbing past his fur, the poison stung his body and lowered his defences.

Wasting no time in delivering its freezing punch, Joey folded his arms and displayed a suitably cocky grin over his face as Voltek took the acid attack considerably well. Looking over to the man, he let out a sigh and commented. "See? Me and Voltek here, we have a good deal going on between us. I support him as his trainer and tactician out on the field and he... Well, he does that brilliant bit of handiwork you saw just then. If we rambled about doin' things on our own, it'd be pretty rubbish to say the least." Not quite done, Joey eased up his stance by unfolding his arms and was about to continue when he heard the man's rebuttal. Clearly helped by the sight of Voltek's appearance what with Electivire being the end form of what an Elekid could evolve into, it meant some other rather weighty accusations were n being thrown about. "So that yellow blighter that made a fool outta ya looked like Voltek here?" Unable to hide his smile, Joey was happy he was at least on the right track. Before he could try and play down the connection there, the man was very quick to jump the gun and come to a rather misled conclusion. Or perhaps a conclusion with some form of truth in it, even if the foundations which led to it were incorrect.
"The hell? I sure as hell ain't got a whole team of these guys." A slither of hesitance in his voice, he realised Elektek was now in his party meaning that two out of six, or three from this man's perspective, were under Joey's command. However, it was the last few words that would cause real concern for Joey. He was as the man was saying depending on who you asked. A two bit thief. The other labellings were of course unfounded but it still meant that if such a fuss was being made that it would attract the wrong sort of attention. And considering he had gone so long without having the whole of Johto's finest on his trail, he would prefer to keep it that way. Hoping to reign back in the situation, Joey cut in. "I prefer the term a charming rogue." Looking around with a hint if paranoia, he was hopeful there was nobody about to hear such accusations. "C'mon Voltek, let's finish this. Harley back at the warehouse uses a Vileplume. You remember all our sparrin' sessions right? Just follow on with a second Ice Punch and go for a KO!" Having formulated their next round's offensive, Voltek raised his fist before him. Still decorated with ice and frost from the fight prior, it took only a moment for him to concentrate and renew its elemental properties. Looking over to the Vileplume, he would need to act quick lest he suffer another helping of acid.

Already over the effects of the acid, Voltek stood strong and tall against the Vileplume across the battlefield. Despite Blanch's rage, Vileplume had no ill will towards the electric creature, unless one counted wanting to get him back for the powerful Ice Punch. However, Vileplume was nothing if not dutiful, and did her best to stand as tall as possible. The flower petals on her head were getting rather heavy, however... Blanch didn't notice and continued to fume about the Elekid and Joey. "Vileplume, you're doing great. Don't falter now though, we've still got a few rounds before this degenerate is put in his place. My stomach, and our honor, will be avenged." He growled, pulling his arms up into a crossed position. There was no convincing him that Joey wasn't the cause of the issue, especially with his first choice of Voltek. Perhaps not the smartest thing Joey had done in this particular string of events, but at least Voltek seemed to be doing fine. The command of another Ice Punch registered well, and Voltek spent no time in executing the command. "Look at that! Just another underhanded move. You're showing your true colors well, you hoodlum." Frustrated to the max, Blanch watched Vileplume flinch at the oncoming Voltek. "You don't want to get hit by that! Quickly! Put it to sleep with a Sleep Powder!" Blanch hollared. The sound of his dad's voice made his child waver a bit, noticing the man's frustrations. The clapping stopped and the boy fell silent as he sat upon the bag. Vileplume did it's best to release the sleeping spores into Voltek's face before he approached, but it was to no avail. Unfortunately, Voltek was much, much faster. With a quick Ice Punch, Vileplume fell to the ground, immediately knocked out. A quick KO indeed. Blanch's Vileplume - Level |33| Health: 0/102 Current Status: ... No Attack! Joey's Voltek - Level |41|
Health: 101/125 Current Status: Down for the count! -1 Sp. Def Successful Ice Punch!
Voltek decimated the competition, netting him 1,650 EXP (+850 Lucky Egg) and +1 Happiness! (MAX) (4,052/5167) Metyrant analysed the battle and gained +850 EXP! (2,425/2977) "Vileplume, return!" Blanch returned the Vileplume to her Pokeball with a flash of red light before pulling out another Pokeball. "Alright you ruffian. You've angered me to the last point. We're finishing this now, then you're gonna give me my lunch back. Slowbro, time to put him in his place!" Despite the fact he'd been utterly defeated with the first Pokemon, Blanch held strong to the fact that justice would prevail, and that Joey was truly in charge of this nefarious plan. True to his word, a Slowpoke appeared in front of him when the pokeball released. It glanced over at Joey with a dopey smile before yawning cutely. Angry Tourist Blanch sends out Slowbro! (Level 33) Will you send out another Pokemon?

Clawing his face at how difficult this man was being, Joey felt the onus was on him to make it clear yet again he wasn't to blame. Eventually all he could bring himself to do was roll his eyes and let out an exasperated puff from his mouth as he mumbled to Voltek. "And here I was thinkin' we were avengin' our good name... Tch." Looking back over to the trainer and his Pokemon, Joey pulled an incredulous look backed up by a nonchalant shrug as the man labelled the move as underhanded. "Oh c'mon, a frosty job is underhanded?! What about the punk who's commandin' his Pokemon to lob acid like its nothing?" Sounding something of a cocky smirk, Joey failed to relent on the command he had given. "All's fair in Pokemon battling." His sentence finished, Joey had to laugh as the next utterings from the man were regarding a tactical assault involving sleep spores to put Voltek asleep. "Guess you're already practicin' anything goes. No matter, Voltek, don't breath and deliver that ice punch! We can't let up now." He yelled out passionately to his Pokemon. Thankfully Voltek was swift despite his bulky, imposing frame.
Hurtling forwards as his tightened fist jammed forwards, there was no doubt in who managed to make their attack connect first. Momentarily keeping the fist pressed up against the Vileplume, it soon exploded with an icy barrage as the air cooled to sub zero temperatures and obliterated their foe. With the man's Pokemon defeated, Joey was hoping this would be the end of the man's folly. He was sorely mistaken. "Jeez, you seriously don't let up, do ya?! Me and Voltek here have proven we're not as haphazard as you accused earlier and we knocked yer Vileplume seven ways to next week. Y'really think sending out another Pokemon is gonna do much good?!" Realising the man wasn't going to stop until someone paid for the loss of his lunch, Joey grunted as he watched the light die down from the Pokeball and the man's next Pokemon line up to bat. Hearing the name Slowbro, the biker was already somewhat clued up on what to expect. Sure enough, as the light fully dimmed down, a dopey albeit cute mammal looked at him, smiling before indulging in a yawn. Shaking his head, Joey would have preferred not to but the man was being impossible. "C'mon Volt, let's shock some sense into this dude. Unleash a Wild Charge!"
Folding his arms, Joey talked to himself as Voltek charged up. "Hopefully this won't have delayed things. I'd hate to let Jasmine down if we lost this lil' tyke."

Still set on Joey being the culprit, with a Slowbro now standing in the place his Vileplume once did, Blanch was hellbent on making him pay. Face flustered red and the odd sounds of his grumbling stomach firing off between the silent gaps of the battle, he seemed determined enough to win. "Your... V-Tek or whatever might not be as impish as the other yellow rascal but it doesn't prove that you are innocent through all of this? Who is gonna give me back my time?! My money?! That lunch was darn expensive... But they are worth it, let me tell ya!" As soon as he made even the smallest complaint about the lunches at the Olivine Cafe, he quickly turned it back around with a compliment of sorts. He wasn't a good salesman, especially if he was the type to point the finger of blame without any proof but atleast he was a loyal customer.
With Joey passionately ordering Voltek to charge in, Blanch grimaced and with a clenched fist, did the same for his own Pokemon. "You've got this, Slowbro! Use Yawn and knock out that giant!" Slowbro had a very strong trait, however. The hint was even in the name. She was very slow and even as the order of Blanch entered her ears, it took a while for the cute Pokemon to register it. Instead, she stared blankly ahead, at the nightmareish sight of Voltek growing ablaze with electricity and running straight towards her. For the psychic type, it was all in slow motion, even with the delayed, slowed shouts of Blanch ordering her to dodge out of the way. But it was far too late, she smiled in her usual dopey way as Voltek grew closer, the surge of electricity cloaking them both until an almighty boom shook the area.
Slowbro: | Level 33 | Health: 0% ( 0/115 HP) Status: Normal OHKO'ed!

Congratulations!Angry Tourist Blanch has been defeated! He hands over £786! (Updated)The total amount of exp gained is 2475 (extra due to Lucky Egg) but it is shared due to Exp Share!

Standing in sheer disbelief at the sight of his Slowbro sprawled across the floor, the shocked male didn't notice Voltek had also astained some injuries due to the impact and heaved himself back up onto his feet before stomping back to the side of Joey. All of a sudden, the man's arms slumped forward, his entire posture being one of simple defeat. Returning his Slowbro back into her Pokeball, the man sighed and cautiously approached Joey. It seemed that the battle had shook some sense into him, as now, instead of the previously enraged man, stood a very apologetic one. Bowing his head slightly, the man muttered sadly. "...I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me." Lifting his line of sight, he suddenly pointed a finger over to Voltek, "But the little thief really did look your Pokemon. I guess I jumped the gun too quickly." Sighing once again, he took a glance over at the Cafe before straightening his back and becoming more like his old self. He even wore a smile.
"Guess it can't be helped. I'll just come back again tomorrow." As he turned back to Joe, the man held out a hand to gesture a hand shake, "Thanks for letting me let loose some of that anger. I guess we'll go and find another place to eat. Right?" His final few words aimed at the youngster strapped to his back, the small child seemed to be in hysterics, obviously that battle had been exciting for the little boy. "Well, seeya around kiddo! If you're really looking for that the critter, best of luck to you." As he parted from Joey and made his way through the streets of Olivine, all of a sudden, a shadow jolted out from the side of the cafe and headed towards the beach.
Follow the shadow heading for the beach!
OOC: I'm not sure if you calculate the experience with Lucky Egg/Exp Share this way or Tyger's way. I'm not saying she is wrong but I thought since Voltek participated in battle, his Lucky Egg would add activate the extra boost and then that whole number would be split? If you know, would you mind explaining to me in OOC note back or a PM for future reference? Thank you!

Understanding the man was all too dogged and wasn't going to let this matter rest, he continued on listening to what was spewing forth from the man's mouth. Having let him finish, Joey made a small cavalier smirk and shrugged at the man's words. " Fine. All this i'm doin' doesn't prove squat. But what have you got to prove that i've done anythin'? You said yerself, V-Man here is similar in appearance... Bein' part of the same evolutionary chain 'n all but what concrete evidence does it give us? Not a thing, that's mere coincidence. What shred of evidence d'ya have to prove i'm complicit in this woeful tale of a man not gettin' his lunch? This whole accusation thing works both ways. And i'll tell ya, i'm fond of this whole innocent until proven guilty way o' things." Joey was a troublemaker. There was no denying this. He was a thief through and through and he wasn't one to shy away from a bit of danger and thanks to this, it meant he had a way of defending himself. He was well aware of the way itself worked. Sighing at the man's last words, Joey made a throwaway comment. " Beats me, go and cry to the cafe staff about it... Never know, they might do you good." All the while they continued their discourse, their Pokemon engaged with one another. As it stood, the fight itself wasn't much of a fight, more of a one way demonstration of Voltek's impressive strength. Despite the Slowbro's support from its trainer, Voltek's body coursed with overwhelming sparks of electricity as he stomped forward in a merciless charge. As the electric sasquatch like creature made contact, a boom followed, sending both Pokemon flying away from one another. Slumping along the ground as Voltek travelled backwards, Joey moved over to offer him some support up. " Looks like that did it! Nice one V." Ensuring Voltek was alright, Joey looked back over to Blanch and his Slowbro. Voltek was usually a gentle giant but when the fight heated up, Joe was always a little concerned the outcome on the opponent's side would be terrible. Thankfully they both seemed ok. Albeit a little dazed. Hearing Blanch comes to his sense with an apology, Joey made a hearty smirk. " Heh, don't sweat it." Listening to Blanch's words, Joey responded with an acknowledging nod. " If the thing we're followin' is what i've been told it'll be like a trip down memory lane. I've seen Volt here grow from Elekid into what you see now. So hey, easy enough leap to make in the logic." Looking over to his son who looked thoroughly excited over the whole affair, Joey gave him a cheerful grin whilst laughing. " Hahaha, you better watch out for yer own kid. Don't want him gettin' any ideas from the Elekid. Either way, catch ya later. This thing ain't sittin' still." Looking to Voltek, Joey gave the order. " Alright! Let's rock 'n roll. Seems like the blighter headed off towards the beach... Oh man. And I don't even have my trunks." Shaking his head, the duo jogged on off. Looking over his shoulder, Joey examined the cafe one last time. " After this, i'm gonna get a damn bite to eat." - Joey pursues the trail to the beach - OOC: Also, I was under the impression you had. Must've overlooked the maths un Tyger's one. It does make sense, the presence of lucky egg doubles exp for the participating Pokemon which would receive the whole amount before it then gets divided between the two thanks to the share.

With a nice, tasty lunch now on his mind, Joey firstly needed to track down this rascal of an Elekid. His battle with Blanch now over, ending in the hungry tourist apologising for his actions and leaving feeling pretty silly after his abrupt actions, the thief was able to continue on with his search. So far, he had checked the outside area of the Lighthouse, skimmed through the streets of Olivine itself and that left only one major area to check. The sea. Earlier, if he had seen it or not, a small shadow had moved in that general direction, meaning that he was on the right track. With the gentle giant Voltek by his side, the duo moved in the direction of the ocean, following the path until it led them to a set of steps, which then took them down onto the beach itself. Joey's heavy duty boots sinking somewhat in the sand, it didn't take long at all for yet another disruption to get in the way of his quest.
Just off the coast up ahead, a toned male in a rather tight pair of swimming trunks appeared to be arguing with someone. Judging from his own outfit, it was likely a life guard. "The answer is still no. It is too dangerous. Go home." Turning away from the swimmer, the life guard raised a red flag, that being the usual sign that the water was off limits until further notice. Grunting with his arms flailing in an over exaggerated manner, the trunk man shouted out. "This is RIDICULOUS! Just wait until I get my hands on the darn..." Trailing off with numerous expletives, the swimmer had been left without water to swim in and it had caused a great deal of anguish. Kicking at the sand, he roughly pulled his towel and bag of belongings up from the sandy beach and began to make his way back towards the changing room. Only, the sight of Joey caused him to stop in his tracks once he reached the bandanna wearing male.
"Don't bother even trying to swim. Some puny electric squirt has just gone and shocked the water. The whole beach is off limits until they finish conducting tests or some nonsense. PAH!" Waving a hand in the air as if to shoo away how ridiculous the whole situation was, the beachgoer wanted to let off a bit more steam. "You know, how can one little thing ruin my whole day? Swimming is my life! I live to be in the water, with my Blastoise! The rush I feel when riding the waves... I gotta get out there man, it's like an addiction!" Rubbing a hand across his face, he soon shook his head, "I need to do something to distract myself or I'm gonna go insane." Taking a good look at Voltek, who still stood beside Joey, the man loosely pointed a finger in the Electivire's direction. "Looks like you're a trainer. How about a battle? A good one, something to take my mind off of this... Travesty! C'mon, I'm begging ya! I'll even show you my surfing partner." Throwing a Pokeball forward, the man released a large Blastoise, who pounded his fists together eagerly. It seemed that Joey had been issued a challenge?

Speedily making their way off the promenade and onto Olivine's beach, it wasn't long before the two encountered the next by product of the Elekid's mischief. "Wow, this lil'un is sure causing a lot of trouble. Somethin' tells me he's not quite done either." Slowing to a halt, Joey kept his ear out for details between a swimmer and a life guard. Getting the gist of what had happened, Joey whistled and shook his head as he looked to Voltek. "Sounds like he let loose a few hundred thousand volts of electricity into the water. Ow. They really do need reignin' in." About to make for another dash away from the mayhem, he was stopped as the swimmer which had been scolded by the lifeguard approached Joey directly. Mumbling under his breath something, he quickly brushed aside and spoke out in a friendly tone. "Hey, sup dude." Without so much a reply, the swimmer went off on a rather passionate tirade about swimming being his calling in life and other tidbits. Whilst he was talking endlessly, Joey looked up to Voltek and nodded. "This confirms it at least. Sounds like our runaway scamp did this." Turning back as the swimmer ended conversation Joey nodded his head and bluffed he had been listening. "Totally, man. Nothing quite like it. Say, we gotta..." Despite trying to give the man the slip, he was unable to and instead was met with a request. "Huh, a battle instead?" Letting out a small chuckle to himself, he shook his head before shrugging and agreeing.
He had a favour to pull in, that much was true but a thrill seeker like Joey, he could understand what the guy was saying. "I get it. No, really I do." Responding properly this time, Joey made sure his opponent knew he was on the same page. "I'm the same but for battlin'. A good fight gets the blood pumpin' so maybe as you're addiction to the action out on the waves I am for a brawl. Consider a white knuckle face off obliged." Grinning, he had an inkling the Pokemon he was going to use would be the one he had referenced in his talk earlier about not being able to swim. Whistling, Joey took in the sight of the impressive foe. "Wow, now that is a Pokemon. That bold shell, them fearsome cannons. Hah! Alright!" Looking to Voltek, Joey nodded. "Whaddya reckon? Can you handle this, V?" Punching his fists together and letting a small series of sparks fly outwards the Pokemon stood up to the plate. He had been worn ragged from previous fights and the toll of his wild charges were taking their toll but Voltek wouldn't let that put him on the sidelines as a bench warmer. The Electivire had a lot more to offer. Placing his trust in his Pokemon, Joey launched a passionate command to his Pokemon as he trusted a point of his finger at their target. "Here's the plan Voltek! Give 'em a Wild Charge they'll never forget. If that lil' punk can electrocute the water that people can't go in for a while, show 'em what sorta strength you got!" Enjoying the engagement of battle, he mused to himself personally. "Hopefully this won't be too long and we can solve this troublemaker's antics."

vs Beachgoer Max__________________________________
Learning that there was something out there that got Joey's blood pumping with excitement too, the beach lover clenched a fist of his own, being to feel pumped up himself. "Yeah! That's what I'm talking about! A few years back, I went on a journey of my own. Squirtle was my starter Pokemon. Heh, though that is obvious." Giving his old partner a good pat on the shell, the Blastoise turned it's nose up proudly as Joey commented on it's strong look physique. "As soon as we were able to use Surf, our journey totally changed. I hear there is a place called Whirl Islands out there somewhere. We're training to fight past the Whirlpools so we can go and explore it." Feeling an irate sigh exit his lungs, the man raised his hands into the air and spoke with a grumble. "Which is why we need the ocean to train in! We're not gonna get anywhere like this!"
Putting his complaints aside for the moment, the male lifted the goggles across his eyes to get a better look at Voltek. "Gotta say, that is a mean looking Electivire. I can tell you have been through a number of tough battles, eh big guy?" Nodding his head in Voltek's direction, the man nudged his elbow into the side of his Blastoise, "Looks like we're at a bit of a disadvantage here. Still, let's give it our all." Also pounding it's fists together, the Blastoise let out a roar and stood in position, as the swimmer moved back. Tapping a hand against his own forehead, he soon signalled a hand to Joey. "Ooh, dude! My bad! The name's Max. Let's have a good battle!" Expecting his Pokemon to atleast survive a hit from Voltek in order to show off a bit themselves, Joey's order meant that the duo wouldn't really get the chance.
Throwing a hand forward, the swimmer known as Max tried his best to think of a way to survive against the powerful electrical current of Voltek. "Act fast, Blast! Use Withdraw before it can reach you!" Yet despite his size and weight, Voltek was actually able to move across the sand very quickly. His whole body encased with a raging cloak of electricity, the Electivire roared as he continued his wild charge, smacking his shocking body right into the Blastoise and frying it on the spot.
Blastoise: | Level 37 | Health: 0% ( 0/116 HP) Status: Normal OHKO'ed!
VS
Voltek: | Level 42 | Health: 48% (47/128 HP) Status: Normal Voltek used Wild Charge! Hit with recoil!

Voltek gains 1387 experience! (1516/5419) Metyrant gains 1387 exp! (2855/3169)
The battle was over before it had even started and as the body of the Blastoise fainted, all that was left was Max and his rather priceless expression. Looking lost, confused and just plain downtrodden, the male eventually sighed heavily before withdrawing his Blastoise and re approaching Joey. "Ah... Didn't quite get the kick I wanted from that but atleast I have a reason to head on over to the Pokemon Centre now." About to bid his farewells to Joey before he got changed, a very small yellow body jolted out from the side of the changing rooms, wormed in and out of their legs before rushing up the stairs and headed towards the Olivine City Gym. "...What was that?! Was that the little tyke who shocked the water?!" Looking ready to chase after it, thankfully Max had a better head on his shoulders instead of acting rash.
"Urgh. Whats the point? I need to get changed and tend to Blastoise, that is more important." Looking to Joey, he gave his friendly opponent a mock salute, "Take care, dude. If you happen to catch the little bugger who sparked the sea, give it a good hit from me!" Parting from Joey and entering the changing rooms, the biker was now able to continue the chase.
Hurry! The Elekid is heading towards Olivine Gym!

Nodding his head with a grin, Joey was pleased this trainer was a lot more agreeable than the previous whiner he had dealt with. Sounding a whistle, Joey was impressed by the fruits of their journey. "Startin' off with a Squirtle and endin' up with a Blastoise. Now those are some trails and tribulations. Good to hear ya made somethin' of it. Sounds like there's plenty more though." Hearing talk of this Whirl Island again once more, Joey pulled a perplexed expression. A number of people had informed him of their existence and by rights he should have encountered them when he made his voyage over to Cianwood. Letting out a small nervous laugh he explained. "I gotta admit, on my surfin' journey to Cianwood I kinda got tangled up with a whole rampagin' sortie of Gyarados. I hope you and yer buddy Blastoise here won't take any of their nonsense." Laughing to himself in expression over how lucky he was to survive the encounter and end up grounded in Cianwood itself, there wasn't much worth in thinking of what other alternatives could have cropped up. Realising that the Elekid had put a really dampener on the swimmer's plans, Joey sighed. "Hope you can get back to it soon. I doubt you guys will have much to worry about though."
As conversation shifted to Joe's own Pokemon, he grinned proudly at the praise received. "Voltek here has been through a lot. I rescued him and saw him through a lot of trials and tribulations of our own." With their opponent understanding the disadvantage they were at, the biker was pleased they weren't all daunted but instead proceeded to rise to the challenge. Punching his fists together, Joey let out a laugh as he realised despite how well they were getting on, they hadn't properly introduced. "Max huh? Cool, name's Joey. Here's to a good battle!" Watching as their two Pokemon went full force into it, there was some feeling in Joey's mind the Blastoise might be able to withstand the blow. He knew they were defensive tanks when they wanted to be and with his trainer yelling out a protective measure such as Withdraw, it only contributed to this feeling. "Don't let off the charge, kick it up to overdrive!" Cheering his Pokemon on, he noticed the fearsome surge of energy his Electivire was giving off and had to look away as the two Pokemon made contact. A small blast was created, causing smoke and sand to go flying about the vicinity. Shielding his away as well with an arm raised, Joey looked back to see Voltek had once more come flying backwards from the force of the impact.
Ensuring his Pokemon was alright, he looked over to Max and his Blastoise to see him doing the same. Thankfully they appeared okay but it turned out the Blastoise was unable to stand up to that wild charge. Feeling a little harsh in what had just happened, Joey was starting to realise Voltek's strength was a lot greater than he had anticipated. "Hey Max, no hard feelin's eh? After all the chasin' around i've been doin', you're not the first person to get downed in a hit like that. We really need to find this punk--" As they both stopped and noticed the culprit escaping off swiftly, Joey leapt to action. Hearing the trail end of Max's words, Joey looked over his shoulder and gave him a farewell. "No worries pal, i'll make sure he gets a good schoolin'. You and me will have and to catch up sometime, appreciate the fight!" Storming as fast as his legs could carry him, Voltek was maintaining an almost equal pace. With injuries amounting and being bulkier in size regardless, it was a feat in its own. "C'mon, we can head off this Elekid at the gym! Let's put a stop to this once and for all!" Pushing on ahead, Joey laughed to himself. "This must be how I was back when I was a lil' nipper and growin' up in Fuschia."

Parting from the swimmer who lacked water to swim in, Joey and Voltek had followed all the hints and signs of the cheeky little Elekid and were now close to closing in on it's location. So far, they had rustled about the bushes outside of the Lighthouse itself, ventured through the streets to find it had stolen a lunch and the final snippet of information being that it had electrocuted the beach itself. There were a few locations left throughout the city that Joey could've explored but as he moved up through the main street, the odd sparks of electricity gave away the little scamps trail. It wouldn't be long now before Joey could return back to Jasmine with more good news. He had done his part in helping deliver medicine to the sick Amphy but by capturing this Elekid, Joey might very well go down in the Gym Leader's good books for a very long time to come.
As they reached the upper half of Olivine City where the Gym sat, a very familiar sight was about to hit Joey's line of sight. Standing right in front of the Gym doors was the Elekid he had been tracking down. Only, it had also seen Joey and Voltek. Looking desperately from left to right, it tried to find a place to flee toward. Only, if it carried on following the path it would be led out of the city and onto a route. Knowing that Joey had been trying to track it down for a while now, even if it did escape the city, it knew the human would continue to follow it. Thus, the spunky Elekid turned to face Joey and Voltek, pumping it's fists together to create an intimidating spark. Having Voltek since a young Elekid, the sight was no doubt nostalgic for the thief. But would he be able to tame this trouble maker?
The Wild Elekid (Level 25) has been cornered! Please select a Pokemon to use in battle.

Launching himself onwards through the streets, Joey was able to make short work in catching up with the troublemaker. Squaring the Elekid off outside of the Olivine gym, it meant there was nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Tossing out another Pokeball, another familiar form in the presence of Elektek was summoned. Cornering the Pokemon off completely, it meant this would be the end of the Pokemon's mischievous antics. "That does it. This is the end of the line. I'm all for a bit of cheeky messin' around but enough's enough. Why don't we call it a day, eh?" Watching as the Pokemon showed off an electric show with its fists clashing against each other, Joey couldn't help but smirk with a jovial laugh. "I'm impressed. After all the runnin' around we've been doing I was hopin' we could maybe head back to Jasmine all peaceful like. But if that's the case." Looking to both Elektek and Voltek, he had an idea which hopefully put the rapscallion in their place and also create a bit of respect given they were all of the same evolutionary line.
"If ya want a lil' brawl, we can entertain ya. We won't be goin' easy though, y'hear?!" His trademark grin spreading from ear to ear, he hopped back as his two Pokemon assumed formation. "Elektek! Stun 'em with a Volt Switch and then Voltek, go in for the knock out with an Earthquake! Hard and heavy, let's make it clear we're in charge here." Getting the confirmation, Elektek gave a small bow to the diminutive Elekid before charging up his energy. His arms waving from side to side, all it would take is to fire off his electrical current in order to zap back and forth. Awaiting for this to happen was Voltek. A little worse for wear from all the battles and the recoil endured, he was still ready to rectify this troublesome tyke. Tensing his muscles up, he would simply leap forward on Elektek's retreat and slam at the ground to create his earthquake. Watching over the whole affair, Joey was sure the plan would come together perfectly. "I doubt this lil' bugger's got anything special up its sleeves."
OOC: Elektek uses Volt Switch to Voltek who uses Earthquake.

The whole Elekid evolutionary line standing before him, Joey came up with a little plan to take the naughty electric type down a peg or two. It had been causing havoc across Olivine for who knew how long but maybe with this battle, the Elekid would learn to behave itself. Head strong and mischievous, the tiny Elekid wasn't intimidated at all by the presence of Eletek, let alone Voltek. It didn't matter how big the opponent, the Elekid was going to win before continuing to play a bit more hide and seek. Prepping itself for battle, it flinched at the sight of Eletek suddenly moving so fast into action, something that the young Elekid might not have taken into account immediately. Pretty soon it was going to realise that it was far from invincible.
Speeding forward with arms ablaze with electricity, the Electabuzz known as Eletek aimed straight for the Elekid. Honourable in the ways of battle, the fellow electric type had hoped for a fair fight but he was merely a distraction for the true owner of the spotlight. As the current surged across his yellow body, the Electabuzz tackled directly into the Elekid, who merely drained the excess electricity but was still slightly injured from the impact. Gritting it's teeth and not wanting to be defeated, the Elekid went in for a strike of it's own but soon faltered as Eletek jumped back to make room for Voltek. Despite still bearing scuff marks and scratches from the previous battles he had been a part of, the large yeti stomped forward and ended up being the one to take the brunt of the small Elekid's attack.
Already mid air, the Elekid didn't care who received it's attack as long as one of them did. Arms crossed in front of it's own body, the little electric type did seem to have a special move and that was Cross Chop. Learning it after copying the fighting style of some Pokemon belonging to a group of sailors, this surprising move was usually enough to frighten some opponents away. But as it's tiny arms came into contact with the body of the Electivire, the Elekid instantly realised just how weak it's tiny frame was in comparison with it's later evolution. Grunting once, Voltek grabbed hold of the Elekid and threw it down to the ground before leaning forward and punching a mighty fist downward, sending the ground around Elekid collapsing in on itself as the entire area shook from the fierce earthquake.
Elekid: | Level 25 | Health: 0% ( 0/65 HP) Status: Normal Elekid used Cross Chop! Elekid fainted!
VS
Voltek: | Level 42 | Health: 35% (29/128 HP) Status: Normal Eletek uses Volt Switch and Voltek enters! Voltek uses Earthquake!
Congratulations! The wild Elekid has been defeated! The total amount of exp gained is 1875 (extra due to Lucky Egg) but it is shared due to Exp Share!
Voltek gains 625 experience! (2141/5419) Eletek gains 625 experience! (1550/3169) +1 Happiness Metyrant gains 625 exp and grows to Level 33! (138/3367)
After using the attack, as the ground began to settle, it became apparent very quickly that the Elekid had fainted from the blow. Now all Joey had to do was scoop the Elekid up and report back to Jasmine.
