Observing on the edge of his seat as Elektek went in for the initial portion of the fight, Joey was content with the minor chip of damage it did to the Elekid. He wasn't expecting it to be downed after being hit by a strike of its own element. Considering how much mayhem the Pokemon had caused around Olivine also, meant that the Pokemon was hardly going to be anything of a pushover. As Elektek came speeding back cloaked in a burst of electricity, Joey gave him some praise. "Nice one Elektek, you've set the stage well. Voltek's been through a lot with the last couple of messes we've mopped up so it's good you got his back." Landing back by Joey's side and leaving the battlefield open for Voltek, Joey grinned as his stalwart Pokemon went up to bat. He would no doubt have to contend with one of the Elekid's move before this was over but he had the utmost faith in his Pokemon. "Be ready for anything, this lil' trickster has certainly made chumps of the people we battled before, remember?" Assuming a defensive stance, Voltek looked up as the Elekid had already launched itself forwards up into the air.
Coming down at its opponent, what would happened next shocked every party member present. "WHAT?!" Yelled out Joey as he remembered the distinct fighting style all too often. Elektek too seemed reminiscent of the move. The Electabuzz was aware of trainers in the area using it and from having talked with Voltek, understood he had access to the attack. The most surprised of all was perhaps Voltek himself. He had been trained ruthlessly by his original master a powerful fighting style move and was one he used often to great effect. So to be on the receiving end of the assault, much less from a Pokemon that greatly reminded himself of when he was younger, perhaps took him off guard more than expected. Attempting to defend at the last moment, Voltek took the brunt of the blow with a grunt but as he grit his teeth, he realised that despite the Pokemon's ingenuity in learning the move, it still needed far greater muscles to make true use of the attack.
Ready to launch the counter offensive, Voltek, grappled the Pokemon and followed through with Joey's command. "That was a shocker... Heh, pardon the pun. But I didn't think that was a move you lot were all that able to do. This Elekid's no ordinary one." Remarked Joey as the Pokemon was slammed into the ground and then hit with the full force of a powerful tremor. Punching at the ground with a definitive hit, it was enough to obliterate the remainder of the Pokemon's stamina. Considering it had run amok as long as it had and also contended with Elektek's hit, there was no wonder the Pokemon passed out cold. "Haha, result! You guys both did great. Definitely compliment each other well in battle. I'm gonna have to find some trainers who dig the whole double battle scene to take advantage of ya's." Walking over to the knocked out troublemaker, he scooped up the Pokemon with his right arm and held him under there to ensure it wouldn't wake up and cause trouble anew. "C'mon lads, what's say we let Jaz know we sorted it out. Maybe then we can grab some lunch." His mind wandering back to the cafe, there was no denying an appetite had been worked up. With the trio and Elekid in tow heading off to Jasmine's location, it was to the relief of all the ruckus had been bought to a stop.
