"Do you think it is your flock who attacked the human child?""I don't know," the Pidgey chirped. "Maybe they were just fighting and the boy almost got hit by an attack. You know how it is when a group of Pokemon fight another group, right?" After replying, the bird then joined the group and walking toward the big tree where the fighting seemed to be occurring. It didn't seem to be a long walk until the group arrived, and the scene was basically a few pokemon, countable by two hands as there were less than ten of them total, fighting in the air. The skirmishing Pokemon were a few Pidgeotto, Pidgeot, Dustox, and Beautifly. All of them seem to be stronger than both Mikey and Astrid combined in their individual strength. Though the battle seemed to be going on for a while, the tree and nearby area can be seen of the damage from this battle. For some bushes on the ground, the leaves seemed to be forcibly blown away by a strong Twister, Gust, or even Silver Wind. It was an unpleasant scenery to walk into. Though it also looked like they had been battling for a while, as the Pokemons all look tired. Some even stopped fighting physically, and appeared to be just insulting each other by their calls. The Pidgey chirped softly and looked confused about what was going on, but also seemed to be trying to walk toward its own flock, but it barely made one step, as it was afraid to be seen to be part of the conflict. "Well, I don't know what happened..." The Pidgey hid behind Janus and spoke. "They're definitely my flock though. Should I go out? What if the bugs think I am joining in the fight?"

Ella had kept an eye on Janus and the pidgey as she had feared his question had been taken as an insult, but luckily the pidgey didn't see it that way, but simply answered happily. Ella relaxed a bit and turned her attention forward and what they would encounter there.
As they arrived at the tree, Astrid was glad she had made it clear no-one attacked since the sight was terrifying and a battle would have been devastating! "I think you were lucky to get away unharmed, Mikey." Astrid whispered as she waved him to her behind a tree. Janus had disappeared into the tall grass, while Ella was crouching low beside the tree and looked warily at the big bugs and the even bigger birds. That the birds were tired too was a clear sign that the bugs were really strong! Cyan found a bush to hide as far back as he dared without feeling left behind. "I think we can go around them in relatively safety, they are either too tired or too occupied from what I can see." Astrid said lowly. She felt bad she couldn't do something to solve what looked like an abvious problem, but a thing she had learned while working for the police, was that it sometimes would be smarter to retreat to get backup, than to injure yourself unecessary.
Ella did not agree though. She didn't know what was going on either, but she had promised the pidgey to find its flock and now it looked like they were going to abandon it to a quite uncertain fate with opponents this strong swarming the area. She at least had to try make sure it was relatively safe before leaving it. She crept forward to Janus and the pidgey in the grass. "I'm going to try talk with them, but if I fail and you cannot join them, I fear you will just have to wait to join your flock until the battle is over. If you try to join now, someone will surely attack you." She whispered to the pidgey. She didn't believe the bird wanted to leave its flock in a situation like this, but if it wanted to, she would be more than happy to lead them all away.
If the pidgey still desired to return to its flock, Ella would move towards the closest bird or bug, who wasn't in a battle at the moment, and tried to get its attention. "Sorry, why are you all battling?" She asked it.

Wild Pidgey - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mikey was excited but quiet as he walked with Astrid to the tree at the center of a heated battle, all youthful optimism and a dash of naievete. When they finally arrived, however, his eyes widened at the sight of the damage done to the nearby shrubbery and trees before ducking out of sight with his companion. "No kidding. It didn't look this bad when I came through, but I kinda wasn't looking too hard... just wanted to get through, y'know?" he said in hushed tones, peering around the other side of the tree at the combatants. While the worst of the fighting had passed, it was still an intimidating scene to behold, especially with a Pokémon as powerful as Pidgeot in the midst, the majestic bird holding on with steely determination despite being covered in numerous scratches and bumps. Pidgey was still appearing uncertain about approaching the group until Ella moved over to it and spoke in a whisper, a look of alarm crossing its face.
She was putting herself at great risk, just for the sake of returning it to its flock? Emboldened by her actions, Pidgey hopped out of the grass after her, and just in the nick of time - a Pidgeotto hovering low to the ground took notice of the Froakie. Letting out a threatening squawk, the bird shifted closer and appeared ready to strike when Pidgey fluttered its tiny wings in a frantic gesture. Somewhat mollified by the smaller bird, Pidgeotto returned its sharp eyes to Ella and opened its beak to explain that the group had been squabbling over who had claim on the tree. The bugs were there first, but Pidgey's flock preferred this tree over all others due to it being able to hold their usually high numbers, and neither was willing to leave for the other.
At this point, both birds and bugs just wanted to rest and tend their wounds despite the unwillingness to concede defeat. Pidgeotto seemed to be preparing to explain further when a ragged-winged Dustox swooped down from above, taking advantage of the bird's distraction to attempt an attack. Rising with an angry cry, Pidgeotto swiped out with its talons and missed by mere inches, leaving Ella and Pidgey very much alone. "Man, they really won't stop fighting... it's weird. Maybe they're jus-- Spaghetti?" Mikey was saying, breaking off as he realized his Rattata wasn't around. From the contested tree came a loud rustling sound, branches shaking violently from what one could assume was a pair of fighters.
Instead, several berries plummeted from the tree and scattered across the ground. They were plump blue ones, of the Oran variety, and the sight of them seemed to break something in the squabblers. Descending with a cacophony of delighted sounds, the Pokémon fell on the food and began eating in earnest, setting aside their mutual dislike for the sake of good eats. Mikey, who was squinting up at the branches, laughed as he spotted Spaghetti making his way slowly down the trunk of the tree. "Maybe they were just really hungry! I get kinda grumpy when I have an empty stomach too," the boy laughed, stepping out from behind the tree with renewed courage.
Pidgey exchanged an amused look with Ella before dipping its head to her, thanking the Froakie for her help to this point. It spared a look back at where Astrid was and chirped a farewell, turning away afterwards to make its way through the feasting Pokémon to approach the Pidgeot they had seen earlier. After a moment of speaking to the larger avian, Pidgey's expression finally turned into one of pure content as it achieved its goal of being reunited with its flock. "Heheh, a happy ending for everyone. Me, too, if you still want that battle, miss Astrid?" Mikey said with a sly smile, reaching down to pat Spaghetti affectionately on the head.
Pidgey was successfully returned to its flock!
Mikey is restating his challenge to Astrid! He'll be fighting with Spaghetti (Level 5). Please send out a Pokémon to fight.

Astrid smiled at Mikeys youthful optimism, she was fine with it as long as he controlled it and did not bring them in trouble by stupid actions. She frowned nervously as he briefly mentioned his first encounter with them, it was not usual to see such strong pokemon in this area was it? From what she had heard Route 29 was often suggested as a good place to start as usually couldn't support the lives on much bigger pokemon, so the risk of meeting something like this should be minimum. Astrid slowly pushed Mikey backwards away from the birds and the bugs, hoping they would not notice them, so that they could get out of there without a battle. She wondered if she should go back to the lab and tell them about this, would it be unusual enough for the Professor to be interested in it? She was sure she would mention it for him if she ever got the chance, but the question was if it was something he wanted to investigate himself, since then he needed to be told right away.
Astrid's eyes widened and she gasped when she saw her froakie slowly creeping towards the big bird. "Ella! Get back here!" She whispered nervously but wasn't heard by the froakie, and even if she had been, Ella wouldn't have returned as she couldn't see any other way to try reunite the pidgey with its flock. The old woman had no idea what the pokemon was up to, she had only known it for a couple of hours or so. Was she planning on atticking the big birds? She hadn't seemed like she had wanted to battle before, but perhaps she was one of those pokemon who only wanted to face really challenging opponents? Problem was that these opponents would not only beat her easily, they would take the rest of their small group down with her. Astrid held her breath as a big pidgeotto noticed her froakie.
Ella pressed herself against the ground as the pidgeotto looked like it was about to attack her. She had tried to be non-threatening but obviously had failed, though it was probably mostly due to the tense situation. She prepared for a dogde and a hasty retreat when something behind her caught its attention and it calmed down and started to explain their situation to her. She blinked a bit surprised until she glanced backwards to see the pidgey and understood it had aidet her in her need and probably saved her as well. Ella sat up as she listened to the dilemma and thought if this contact was enough for the pidgey to join its flock without getting attacked by the bugs. She had no solution on the squabble and didn't believe anyone of them would really listen to her suggestions. She jumped back as the battle suddenly seemed to be about to start again, and she would be in the middle of it!
Astrid looked surprised as Mikey's rattata saved the day and all the exhausted fighters started to gorge themselves. The area was really not good enough to support such big pokemon. She threw her head back and laughed. "Saved by a pokemon named after food, with a solution that turned out to be food, haha! What a coincidence." She smiled broadly Mikey. "But food supply is one of the main reason for wars, and your rattata just stopped it. Hopefully they can figure something out from now one."
Astrid smiled knowingly as Mikey asked for a battle. "I don't think it would be a happy ending for you, unless you got your battle," she chuckled and patted his shoulder. "But let us first get away from here, I'm not interested in waking any fighting spirit in those one again," She chuckled and pointed back at the eating pokemon.
When they found a good spot, Astrid would turn to look at her joltik. "Would you still want to battle Janus?" He quickly crawled to stand ready in front of her. "I'm pretty sure that is a yes," Astrid said warmly as Janus started to try flatted a bit of the grass so he could see where he was and make himself more visible. Ella settled beside Astrid to watch and Cyan kept in the background, not wanting to get too close or involved into the battle. Janus would stay in the same spot until Spaghetti would make any move to attack, and just before he would be affected he would race to hide behind Ella, who would be the receiver instead. In surprise she would retaliate with a Water Pledge.

With the Pidgey situation resolved, and finding a new spot to battle that won't make the flying and bug type Pokemon battling again, Mikey and Astrid were once again, and finally, starting their battle. Well, for Astrid, that would be her first trainer battle. "Well, I love to eat my mom's spaghetti! So I name my Rattata after spaghetti because I love my Rattata!" Mikey replied cheerily, little did he see though, was his mouse Pokemon rolling its eyes at Mikey's incompetence in battling. He didn't reply to the war thing though, as that went way over his head and he would be too young to understand that. As the battle began, the Rattata squeaked an readied for Mikey's command. "Alright, Spaghetti, use Quick Attack!" With that command heard, the rodent charged forward, racing toward the poor yellow bug for an attack. However, he quickly scampered to hid behind Ella, as the small rat looked like it could pack a punch on the inexperienced bug! The Froakie stood there, and took the hit. Well, at least this was between Pokemon themselves. After that, Mikey ordered Quick Attack again, and then Janus went and hid behind Astrid instead, as he wasn't sure which angle the Rattata was going to hit this time. The Froakie patiently took another Quick Attack, and then she was ready to use her Water Pledge! Watching where the Rattata was moving, the Froakie meditated and slammed her foot on the ground, creating a straight line of surging water from the ground. Eventually, one of them caught up to Spaghetti, and sent it a few feet up the air. Between the water pressure and falling back on the ground, the mouse suffered quite some damage.
Mikey's Spaghetti- Level 5 6/19Status: None Used Quick Attack! Used Quick Attack! Astrid's Ella- Level 5 8/20Status: None Janus was switched out for Ella! Ella used Water Pledge! OOC: Im guessing Mikey's pidgey would be named "Fettucine" or something. definitely not "pizza"

Astrid smiled warmly to Mikey's explanation, it would be typical for a young boy like him to come up with a name like that. It was logical in a very childish way. That he didn't answered her comment about the war, made her briefly wonder if he was too young to understand it, but since he didn't asked more about it, she didn't explain it further. She looked a bit puzzled at Mikey when he ordered Speghetti to attack, was she supposed to do that as well? She looked down at Janus but he was no longer in front of her, and she looked around trying to spot him.
Ella had been sitting and relaxing beside Astrid, content with not having to be ordered around and getting hit by other pokemon. When the rattata plummed into her, she was taken by surprise. She looked shocked at Speghetti as he raced away, only to come back and slam into her once more! It was wrong! She took a few deep breaths to calm herself down and to teach the young one a lesson! The rattata should attack its opponent and not just another random pokemon who was present near by! She narrowed her eyes as she watched the rattata and calculated which route it was taking. Then she slammed her foot in the ground and water sent Spaghetti flying into the air.
As she had dealt with the rattata, she turned to find the joltik, which was easily spotted hiding beside Astrid. To Ella's surprise Astrid was already scolding the joltik. "You do not do something again without permission! If Ella doesn't want to battle you shall not drag her into it, is that clear?!" Astrid asked angrily and Janus looked troubled as he nodded slowly.
Ella sighed a bit, as Astrid continued. It was nice that her trainer were respecting her choices, but now she couldn't really scold the joltik herself, not without repeating what had already been said. There was another thing she could do to try avoid it happened another time. "Why did you do it? I thought you wanted to battle?" Ella asked and Janus actually looked relieved at her. "I DO want to battle, but I have no chance to win against it alone." He explained. "I had to get help and I had only two choices. Did you want me to hide behind him?" Janus defended himself and pointed towards Cyan, who was still staying far away from the battle. Ella sat down and glanced at the scared mudkip before she looked closer at the joltik. She realized Janus might be a few years older than Cyan, but he was far less experienced and he needed help. "I want to help you out but I cannot do that yet, so I'm trying to take the chance of experience I can get," he explained and Ella nodded thoughtfully.
Ella looked up surprised when Astrid sprayed something on her side and the pain disappeared. "That's better, isn't it dear?" Astrid asked Ella with a smile before she looked sternly at Janus. "And you, you get back out there and finish what you wanted to start!" Ella held out a hand to stop Janus. "I got this," she said and jumped out to face the rattata again. This was her own choice and she could see that both Janus and Cyan, and probalby Astrid as well, needed her help. As the oldest and most experienced, she had to take that responsibility on her shoulder if she wanted unecessary accidents happening to the others. "What are you doing Ella? Do you want to battle now?" Astrid asked a surprised and Ella nodded. "I'm finishing the battle with you Speghetti," she called out to her opponent. "Show me what you got." She watched it closely well aware it was much faster than her and probalby would get a couple of hit in, before she could retaliate, but she would be ready with a bubble as soon as she got the chance.
Astrid frowned as she didn't like the way Ella rewarded Janus for a stunt like that. She would end up learning him he could get away with such things, it was bad parenting!

"Nice going Spaghetti!"Mikey cheered, fist pumping the air as his tiny rat successfully launched consecutive quick attacks against the Froakie. The boy let out a slight whimper of concern as his Rattata was mercilessly brought down by the powerful water attack. Much more to his panic, Astrid seemed to have a potion at hand which she applied to the Froakie. Mikey had to bite back a whine of complaint, knowing it was not against the rules of battle for a Trainer to heal his or her Pokemon. He just mentally kicked himself for leaving all his Potions at home. "C'mon Spaghetti, don't sweat it! Use a Tail whip,"he commanded. The Rattata's muscles were screaming for him to stop moving, but the Rattata was too stubborn to just give up. Spaghetti dashed at the Froakie and darted to the frog's flank, wriggling his hindquarters and allowing his tail to bat against Ella. Ella flinched slightly, expecting a full frontal attack from the rat Pokemon. However, the tail merely batted lightly against her that she barely even felt it before the rat Pokemon scampered away. The Froakie let out a snort of disbelief, wondering how the rat Pokemon could possibly defeat her with such a weak attack. However, the ploy worked as the Rattata knew what to do next. With unmatched speed, the rat Pokemon dashed forward again in a zigzag pattern before slamming right into Ella. The Froakie let out a startled croak and felt herself being knocked off her feet from the sudden, unexpected attack. "Hah! You fell for our trick!"Mikey gloated, jumping up and down in excitement, the Rattata equally sharing in the mini victory. However, the pair's victory was short lived as Ella gingerly hopped back onto her feet and launched a barrage of bubbles straight at the purple rat. The Rattata let out a squeal of pain as the bubbles smacked straight into his face relentless, confusing his entire sense until he couldn't handle it anymore. Dizzy and already weak from the earlier attacks, the Rattata keeled over and fainted. "Aw man, you're strong lady! But don't think I'm going to go down that easy. Go Ravioli!!"he called out, tossing another Pokeball. The capsule burst open and out popped a Pidgey. The bird instantly noticed the fainted rodent and hopped over, sneakily pecking at the unmoving rat. "Ahhh I forgot to return him. Stop bullying him Ravioli!"Mikey scolded, flustered by his mistake and quickly recalling the fainted Rattata back into his Pokeball before the Pidgey could do more damage. His Pidgey (Ravioli) Lvl 5 was sent out! Would you like to switch Pokemon?

Ella knew she was no match for Spaghetti's youthfull speed and she made no attempt to try catch up with him. She knew her only chance of succeeding was to wait her time and hope she had enough strength to endure it long enough. She frowned a bit confused when the rattata didn't use his blinding speed right away, but instead ran up to her and patted her with his tail. She knew it was menat to do something and that she had seen it before, but she couldn't remember what it was supposed to do, it was too long ago she had last battled. She watched Spaghetti with a worry that just grew as he suddenly speed ahead so fast she had a hard time tracking him with her eyes. She was not prepared when he hit her. It was with a bit of difficulties she got back on her feet again, she was sore and tired, but now she remembered what the tailwhip did. She looked almost regretfully as she shot her bubbles as Spaghetti's dancing back and watched him go down and be recalled.
Astrid looked worried at Ella and sent Mikey a weak smile when he gloated about having tricked them. She wasn't sure how he had tricked them as she hadn't really battled before and had no knowledge og the tactics which was used. As Spaghetti had to give up and Ella came slowly jumping back to her, Astrid had to hide a smile behind her hand at the sight of the pidgey. She was not the only one who was a newbie in this, though Mikey clearly know more than her. "It was a nice compliment Mikey, thank you," she said kindly, "but I did not do anything and I don't understand what trick you played upon me and Ella? Could you enlighten an old silly woman?" She asked him. She hoped it would both would make him want to share his knowledge with her, and that it could boost his confident over the loss when she asked him for help. She then looked questioningly at her pokemon to see who was up for the next round, but as Janus was about to move forward, Ella stopped him and asked him to wait. "Is it a rascal you got there?" Astrid asked to spent the time while her pokemon figured out what to do.
Ella slowly made her way to Cyan, who got a feeling what was going to happen and therefore did his best to hide in a bush. "Hey, why are you hiding all the way out here?" Ella asked him kindly and he backed further into the bush while watching her warily. "Because you are going to throw me into a battle, and that is not going to end well," he answered quietly. "You mean you are going to lose?" Ella asked and Cyan nodded. "What about the last one? You won that." "That was not a battle!" Cyan protested. "You won it nevertheless, and I can guide you through so you win this one as well. Beside I'm going to need your help as I'm too old to continueing battling, I'm exhausted and sore from the little against Spaghetti. Janus needs our help to become stronger, and I cannot do it alone. All you need to do is go in a growl at it a few time so it doesn't attack so hard and then attack it yourself a few times so it is easy for Janus to finish the job. Can you do that for us? For Astrid? She is older than me and she will need all the strong pokemon she can get." Ella tried to persuade the mudkip. He looked hesitantly at her before looking at Astrid. "You will be stronger as well and can help protect her too." Ella continued. "Why are you suddenly so thrilled about her? You didn't want to battle before, but now you will, why?" Cyan asked accusingly and Ella looked surprised at him and sat down to think a bit about it. I like her, Ella answered after a moment of thinking. "She is the only trainer I have met who accepts my refusals, and then she is kind and gives good snacks." Ella laughed and Cyan giggled nervously. "Allright, I'll try." He said and gulped before following the froakie back to the temporary battlefield.
"Oh hey Cyan, do you want to make a try?" Astrid asked and Cyan stepped out in front of her without answering, his small legs were shaking from nervousness. Ella watched him impressed, there was courage in that little guy even though he was timid. "Just Growl of it, don't think about how it sounds, that is not important." She encouraged him and he did as she told and made a sound that was closer to a whinper than a growl.

"Well, of course my Rattata's Tail whip isn't that powerful. So obviously your Froakie would lower its guard. And that's the prime time to attack it!"Mikey explained, his face breaking into wide grin. He and his Rattata at least managed to pull that off on Astrid, but the old lady's Froakie proved to be too strong unfortunately. Therefore, Mikey was secretly relieved when a shuddering Mudkip stepped up to face his own Pidgey. Perhaps this time it could be their victory. "Ravioli and Spaghetti don't exactly get along. But it's alright, they will eventually,"Mikey explained to Astrid for defending the Pidgey's earlier bullying against his Rattata. The avian let out a scoff, ruffling his feathers and casting Mikey a glance as if he didn't believe his Trainer. There was no way this bird was going to be any more friendlier to the stupid rat pest. The bird's attention was directed towards the Mudkip, who seemed to very very sure of himself. Cyan made eye contact with the Pidgey and blinked, hesitating slightly as he reconsidered what he was getting into. But he can't back down now. If he disappointed Astrid...who know what she'll do with him. The fear of abandonment drove Cyan to see this battle through. Taking in Ella's words of encouragement, the Mudkip took a deep breath and tried to imagine him bellowing at the Pidgey, loud enough to even scare off the bird. However, what came out was a strangled cry that got interrupted as his throat began to tickle and he spluttered out a cough. The Pidgey snorted in disbelief, wondering how exactly the Mudkip could even go up against him if he couldn't even utter out a single, scary growl. Perhaps the bird Pokemon should go easy on the Mudkip. The Water Pokemon certainly didn't seem like much of a threat. Smirking slightly, the Pidgey decided to bully Cyan a bit. Without waiting for Mikey's orders, Ravioli unfurled his wings and gave two beats of his wings to hover inches above the ground before swooping at the Mudkip and slamming straight into the Water Pokemon's flank. Cyan let out a strangled gasp as he felt the wind knocked out of him before he felt himself tumbling across the ground and finally skidding to a stop at Astrid's feet. "Oh, I understand. That was a smart move, but now she knows it, and wont fall for it again, right?" Astrid said and smiled at Ella, who couldn't look her in the eyes. She wasn't sure she could just ignore things like that.
As Cyan faced the bird it clicked and he momentarily forgot what he was doing here and why. He stared terrified at the bird in front of him. He was going to lose and be abandonend and there was nothing he could do about it! He whimpered his growl and his courage fell even further down as the pidgey didn't look like it took it seriously at all. He had tried many times to do his best and battle to stay with his trainers, but since it always failed and he got kicked out, he had settled for just trying to avoid battling at all! Last time he had seen a battle against a pidgey, a real battle, it had ended with him below his trainer which had really hurt! He screamed more from chock than from actual pain when Ravioli tackled him and sent him rolling over the ground and into Astrid. Luckily it wasn't powerful enough to get her to lose her balance and fell too. Cyan started wailing.
"Oh dear, are you alright?" Astrid asked worried and bent to place a hand on Cyan who clung to her leg. Ella sighed and jumped over to the mudkip. "Why are yu crying? You are doing great," she asked and too place a hand on the shaking mudkip. "I'm looosing!" He cried and hid his face in Astrid's wide pants. "If you don't want to battle, that is fine Cyan, you shouldn't if you don't think it is funny," Astrid said and Ella looked worried at her, she was quite sure she couldn't handle another battle herself. "So what? We agreed you didn't finished the battle, right? You just soften the bird up a bit so that Janus can finish the battle. As soon as you feel like you are close to not being able to do anymore, he is going in instead of you." Ella explain but Cyan continued to cry and refused to look at anyone. He was a ashamed he couldn't do what every other normal pokemon did, battle and win. "Aren't you just chocked? I don't think it hurt that much, you are way too strong for that," Janus declared and Cyan sniffed to look hesitantly. "No, but it wasn't funny," he whined and tears started to run down his cheeks again. "Then make it fun, why don't do like with the other pidgey you were up against?" Asked Janus and Cyan stared dumbfounded at him. How could you just make things fun when they were trying to hurt you?! "That's actually not a bad idea," Ella said with a smile. "Why don't you try make it a game? As before I said before you're not going to endure it to the end," Ella encouraged Cyan who sent her an uncertain glance. "How?" He mumbled. "You could start teasing it and make it think that it shouldn't be afraid of you at all, then it will hit less hard at you," Ella whispered to him like it was a secret. "Then you can really surprise it!" Cyan looked doubtfully at Ravioli, "Perhaps," he said hesitantly, but he did move out to face his opponent again. He failed in tricking himself to believe it was nothing but a game, but he did growl-whine at it.

((Ah sorry about that ><)) "Is your Mudkip okay?"Mikey asked hesitantly, noticing how upset the Mudkip looked from taking a hit from his Pidgey. Although the boy felt slightly bad for making his Pidgey bully the seemingly fragile Mudkip, he also felt a rush of confidence that perhaps this win would be his. However, it seemed the Mudkip was not about to forfeit so easily as it was coaxed by its allies to continue forward. The Pidgey leered at the Mudkip, patiently waiting for the Water Pokemon's next move. The avian was quite curious to see how the Mudkip was going to retaliate. However, was another pitiful, whine-like growl that emanated from the tiny Pokemon. The Pidgey let out a cackle of laughter, smirking widely down at the Mudkip. "Just pitiful. I'll show you something worth being scared of,"the avian sneered at the Mudkip. Wings spread wide, Ravioli took to the air and soared backwards. Then, it suddenly shot straight forward towards the Mudkip. Talons geared forward, the Pidgey clawed into the dirt and kicked up sand straight into Cyan's face. The Mudkip felt the grains of sand enter his eyes, causing him to tear up and make his vision blurry. "Nice one Ravioli! Now that Pokemon can't land a direct attack!"Mikey cheered while the Pidgey looked down at the Mudkip with a smug grin. "I'm sure he is," Astrid said reassuringly, though she wasn't sure about it herself. She saw no reason to frighten the young boy too, since if Cyan found it too hard or didn't wanted to battle, she was sure he would say something and step back. It wasn't like she hadn't told him that he was alloved to do that anytime, and if he chose to continue even though he didn't wanted, it was his own fault. He had to learn to draw his own lines. "How are you, keeping them from fighting all the time? I hope you are not letting Ravioli bullying Spaghetti all the time, without doing anything?" Astrid asked Mikey a bit concerned, "That could give Spaghetti some big troubles later on," she explained. She had seen that before with humans, where the bullied one, one day just snapped and took revenge. She had been writing a few reports about incidents like that.
"You are doing great!" Ella encouraged the crying mudkip, who was doing his best to wipe his eyes to get rid of the stinging sand. "It's going right into the trap," Janus stated calmly and Cyan sniffed as he looked at him, tears still running down his cheeks. "The more you growls and cries the less it will think of you as an opponent, and if it doesn't take the battle seriously, it wont hit your hard." Janus explained and a glimps of hope was seen in the mudkips eyes. He could cry and be miserable and it would help him in the battles?! "Just keep crying, it will help get the sand out of your eyes as well. Just give it some time," Ella said comfortingly and Cyan rubbed his sore eye again. He couldn't stop the tears, even if he had wanted to. "Come on, growl at it a couple of more times. Make it believe it really doesn't have anything to fear from you, and you'll really take it by surprise when you pay it back," Ella whispered to Cyan, like it was a big secret.
The Mudkip stepped forward and again more whined than actually growled at Ravioli. He didn't look imposing at all, which tears running down his cheeks, though there were a slight difference from before. He wasn't as scared since his two new friends were rigth, it didn't hurt much when the bird attacked him, and it made it less scary too.

With tears running out of his eyes, and sand particles somewhere around the eyes, Cyan had a hard time seeing the fledgling who was causing this ruckus. Thankfully at least, he didn't need to see to whine his cry loudly at the opponent. As the next round continued, it seemed like both Pokemon were into this defensive mode. Both the Pidgey and Mudkip were quite reluctant to attack each other directly, and are not resorting to measures to gain advantage over the other using some alternative way to attacks. Hopping forward, the Pidgey once again kicked up some sand to the water type, after it had heard the command from Mikey. The two Pokemon weren't exactly enjoying this pace of battle though, as this was getting a bit annoying, at least to Ravioli. How long had it been since this battle started? It was probably fifteen minutes but it felt like an hour. The bird was hoping the opponent would be a Wurmple or something for an easy hit. Answering Astrid's question, the childish boy replied, "Oh! If they misbehave I just don't let them hangout outside the Pokeball. Like Ravioli like to sit on my shoulder, but if it's bad it won't get to sit on my shoulder or be outside the Pokeball at home. For Spaghetti, it likes to sleep with me at night or eat with me, but if it's bad, the bad Rattata eats in the other table. Sometimes my mom's Natu will help out if they don't get along too well that day. Heehee."

(Ooc: that's a deal! thanks ^^)
"I see," answered AStrid hesitantly. She didn't think she had the right to educate the child in how to raise his pokemon, not if his parents was aware of it and helped if there were any problems. Beside, she found it a bit hard to go in and tell others if she was thinking they were doing something wrong when it was a thing she surely knew less about than most other people. She had only been a trainer for half a day or so. It did worry her though, that whatever they were doing to try solve the problem, it didn't help, not if they had to do it over and over again, and Ravioli continued to be after Spaghetti. It sounded like there was something clearly wrong, which was either just not discovered, or even worse, being ignored. She looked thoughtfully at Mikey for a few more minutes, before deciding to do as she had learned in her job as a secretary for the police, if in doubt, try find more information. "I see, and that is effective? Do you know why they are after each other?" She asked and did her best to just sound interested and hide her worry. "To find the solution, you need to find the problem," she cited from somewhere she couldn't remember, probably the police as well.
Ella looked worried as Ravioli once again threw sand at Cyan, it wouldn't make it easier for him to hit it at all, and she may had to go in again to help out. She was happy Astrid had used a potion on her when the battle with the rattata had finished, but she still felt tired and wasn't really up for another battle just yet. "What are you worrying about?" Asked Janus, who had noticed her troubled expression and had joined her. "If the bird continues to throw sand and Cyan, then he won't be able to see it," Ella explained in a lowered voice, to avoid the mudkip heard her. "Then get it to attack him instead," Janus said with a hint of puzzlement. To him the answer was so easy, why did she worry about something like that? "You can't control what moves the opponent are using, but other than that it would be the solution yes. I just don't know how to tell Cyan to attack without letting the bird know about it, and of course that doesn't mean it works either." Ella said thoughtfully.
"You are doing great Cyan," she called out to him as she wondered how to get Cyan to attack. Suddenly she noticed something small and yellow right behind Cyan, which disappear the moment the mudkip leaped forward in the direction of Ravioli. "How did you do that?" Ella asked puzzled as Janus appeared right beside her again. "I told him it was time for the next state in our trap, and told him the direction of the bird and to try act like he was not going to attack it," Janus said calmly and Ella patted him a few, impressed with his doings.
Cyan indeed did not look like he was about to attack, even though he raced over the grass. In fact, he looked like he was trying to run away from the battle, but had lost all sense of direction. With his eyes halfclosed, wailing and whining his growling he ran around in circles as he tried to keep the bird unaware of the tackle he was trying to aim at it.
"Cyan! Oh no! Are you alright?!" Astrid exclaimed and tried to find his pokeball so she could recall him and free him from this horrible situation. Ella hurried to her side and tried to get her to wait and get her to understand, that Cyan was alright. It was Janus though, who made sure Astrid couldn't recall Cyan, as he stuck the pokeball to the side of the trolley with his string shot.

"I see, and that is effective? Do you know why they are after each other?" This question stumped Mikey, as he had no idea why, to be honest. He grumbled and then responded, "Oh, I don't know, I will try to find the problem. I feed them well so it shouldn't be because they're hungry, because if it's a food they don't like they'll let me know." The boy answered, completely naive about his own Pokemon's behavior. As the battle continued, Mikey grinned and then ordered his Pidgey to attack once more. "Okay, Sand attack and then a Tackle! Go, go, go!" The young bird hopped and then walked closed to the water type, and then kicked up another sand projectile, making Cyan's eyes teary some more. The Mudkip whined (and growled) at the annoying baby turkey once again. Then, running like his eyes can't see and circling the feather foe, Cyan tricked Ravioli, and then proceeded with a Tackle, knocking the bird off balance a bit. But the bird quickly recovered thanks to a weak attempt of flapping the wings. Then, Ravioli dashed on the ground and retaliated with its own tackle, albeit much weaker thanks to the copious amount of Growl from Cyan. Mikey looked puzzled, as he wasn't sure why his Pidgey wasn't hitting that hard, but then he's an amateur trainer and still have a lot to learn.
