Travis's lip curled in a snarl of distaste at the yapping Lillipup. "Shut yer trap, before I give you something to yip about!" He hissed, eyes tracking from the net back to the Zubat fluttering in front of him. Grace was proving to be a right and proper thorn in his side, and he was starting to get a bit irate because of it. The poorly-trained Lillipup left the field, snarling and yipping at him after the mutt caught wind of the Houndour. Some trained Pokemon it was, couldn't even tell what was going on until Travis hinted to it. Puh. The thought of cutting his losses and dodging seemed better and better as time passed. Someone could've followed this girl. He was already compromised. However, it wasn't about to continue the battle, so the girl sent out another Pokemon. At the sight of the Blitzle, Travis whistled through his teeth and smirked. "You've got yerself a nice Blitzle there. Don't see many of those. Sure you don't wanna hand it over? It doesn't seem to friendly with you." Travis knew how to use a strong, sturdy hand to control wily Pokemon like young Blitzle and Ponyta. Did the girl? There was only one way to check. With the Lillipup out of his hair for now, the Blitzle was his next concern. "Zubat, Leech Life." The fluttering creature dove down towards the electric Pokemon, sinking it's fangs into the hide of the creature. Barco snorted angrily, stamping his feet in the dirt to dislodge the bat. It wasn't until Zubat had bitten down the second time for a second attack that Barco had willed enough strength to discharge his gathered electricity. Given that the Zubat was already latched to Barco, it made the hit that much more potent. Static electricity in the form of little lightning bolts streaked across Barco's body, honing in on Zubat's little figure. In a flash, quite literally, Zubat was deterred from ever biting Barco again, and was paralyzed to add insult to injury. Travis clenched his teeth. "You paralyzed my Zubat, but at what price? Your Blitzle's just a young thing. You really think it's gonna handle another attack? Heh, you got another thing comin'." Travis smirked. His eyes wandered back over to the Houndour and Lillipup, his brain contemplating a way to make the pup shut up. (Not gonna lie, reading this was confusing so i'm just going with what I grabbed from it, as well as your notes. Since you gave Lillipup the order and nothing happened, you basically forfeitted a turn so Travis got an extra attack on Blitzle who was switched in instead. That's how it would flow in the games. Not that i'm worried you can't take them out. xD)

There were too many things going on at once, too many Pokemon in sight, and Grace was feeling slightly, just slightly, overwhelmed. Her dear sweet Opais was off to the side, growling and yapping at the man. The pup’s body bounced and wiggled with every bark. ( "Big, bad human like you can’t handle a small thing like me? Hah!" ) But before Grace could make a move to rein in her Lillipup, the situation with Barco and the Zubat snatched her attention. The bat was a blur as it swooped down and attached itself to her Pokemon, hooking its fangs into the Blitzle’s body. Grace backed away nervously as the striped equestrian went rowdy and discharged electricity. In all that was happening, she couldn’t get herself to think of a response to Travis’ jab. This was a mess...
( "Geez, what a hot mess. Lady, get that thing outta here!" ) Terry bellowed from behind her, ducking instinctively at the sight of the lightning sparks. Grace knew good and well that she was not in control of this situation. Barco looked to be drained of energy, but that didn’t stop him from clumsily throwing his weight around, kicking desperately at the ground. Opais’ high-pitched barking echoed in the air, giving her a massive headache. Her Squirtle was not helping with the noise whatsoever. And that leech of a bat was still hanging about, its trainer being a complete jerk. ”Thanks for the input,” she mumbled irately, becoming more and more nervous with her predicament. This man was bad news, no doubt about it, so she wasn’t really sure how much worth she was going to put into his words. But if there was one thing she was pretty sure of, it was that Barco was young and not holding up very well at the moment.
( “Oh, thank you!" ) A huffing Barco was sucked into his Pokeball with only the tiniest bit of hesitation from his trainer. She reaffirmed her stance and fished out yet another Pokeball. ”Opais, shh, please!” Grace flipped the red and white orb into the air. Archer the Fletchling emerged from the flash. She should’ve thought of sending her flyer out before. Archer gracefully stayed airborne, flexing his wings appreciatively. ”We’ll make this quick for our dear friend. Archer, Quick Attack!” the girl eagerly called out her command, channeling some much needed confidence. She was banking on what Travis had graciously revealed to her, that his Zubat was paralyzed, probably from getting all up in Barco’s business. Tough luck.

Much to Travis's surprise, Grace seemed as though she was going to keep young Barco in the fight. The wily creature stamped his hooves and discharged electricity, but it wouldn't be doing that for long. Even Travis was surprise with his Zubat. Usually the creature was a successful staller, or a good distraction while Travis finished everything up. Never had the Zubat actually been useful. Heh, the Blitzle must've been fresh, that was the only explanation he could come up with. Either way, he took each of Grace's blunders as a stride forward for himself. "Zubat, look alive." He hissed, glaring over at the bat. It was flapping it's wings as best it could, but occasionally it suffered an electric spasm that almost sent it crashing to the ground. It would usually regain itself before crashing and flitter back into the air.
"Pup, I swear if you don't listen to your trainer and shut yer god-fersakin' yap i'm gonna do it for ya. You wanna join 'em, eh?" Travis snarled, stomping a steel-toed boot in affirmation. The Houndour and pups seemed to cower from the boot, hinting they may have already become well acquainted with it. Travis figured this wouldn't silence the pup, but at least it'd give it something to chew on. Grace urged her pup quiet as well, but Travis had turned his attention back to the battle and was trying to get back into the swing of things. His Zubat flew clumsily in front of him, and he had a few options. Continue battling, hopefully beat Grace, and get out? Or grab the Houndour and make a run for it in the truck. There were possibilities, yes.
"Zubat, let's finish up. I'm gonna cut a loss here. We're gonna bag the hounds and get the heck outta dodge." The Zubat managed a small nod, but suffered from one of the spasms and hurtled towards the ground before catching itself again. "Leech Life!" Travis barked, but Grace's command urged an attack with much more speed than Zubat would have been capable of. The bird, the likes of which Travis hadn't seen and probably could've sold for a decent penny, hurtled forward and slammed into his Zubat. Gnashing his teeth, Zubat regained flight and began to execute it's command, but crashed to the ground with a spasm before it could latch onto Archer. There it sat twitching for a moment, before regaining air. Travis clenched his jaw. And fists. Archer the Fletchling was having the time of his life. He was appreciating the opportunity to stretch his wings and flit through the air in the most physical epitome of freedom for him. It’s been far too long since his last battle. Unfortunately for him, he was mildly disappointed. Seeing another winged creature got him excited to begin, as he was immensely looking forward to clashing with another flier. It didn’t take long for him to realize that this Zubat was almost incapable of flying. Archer watched it curiously. The bat would begin to lift itself, but instead of soaring through the air, it decided to drop back down. It had terrible landing technique as well. ( "Why are you going down there? I’m up here! Won’t let you run from this battle!" ) the Fletchling called with the utmost seriousness. He knew he was intimidating, but this was ridiculous! He just wanted to fight.
Opais continued her incessant barking, trying her best to show off her growing fangs. If she was a bigger dog, she’d waltz right up and show that man a thing or two. But alas, she was a small, squeaky pup, and Travis’s threats and boot seemed to keep her situated far enough away. She looked back to her trainer for backup, but with Grace mostly focused on the attacking Pokemon, Opais only received another pleading hush from her. The Lillipup turned away with a huff. They don’t have their priorities right. She had lowered her barking to a rumbling growl in the back of her throat, keeping her eyes on the man and the Houndour. Until he mentioned fleeing and taking them with him. This spurred on more frantic howling. ( "For the love of... SHUT UP!" )
”Opais, shh! He’s not going anywhere. Not if me or Archer has a say in it, right little guy? Quick Attack again! This thing just can’t keep up with you!” Grace said as firmly as she could, reenergized by the tide of the battle so far. The Fletchling prepared to launch himself off. His opponent was complete fodder, but a win’s a win. And that man is supposedly a bad man, and if his trainer wanted to stop him, then stop him Archer shall.

Having an embarrassing last round was not something Travis took very lightly. It was terrible news for him that Zubat was under the effects of Paralysis and he had been too inconsiderate to bring any Paralyze Heals but being unable to attack due to that mistake was just pitiful. With his Sneasel already down he had no choice but to continue using the crippled flying type and hope it would summon the strength to fight off it's ill condition long enough to win this battle and escape with the Houndour. That was at least in his mind the best case scenario under the circumstances however from the start of this round things did not look very good. Archer obeyed his trainers orders at an astonishing speed and like an arrow he darted towards Zubat ready to slay the annoying bat. Scoring a direct hit on one of it's wings Zubat began to shriek out of terror as it could not manage to protect itself in the slightest in it's current state. " Come on you dingbat and use Leech Life on that worthless bird before I have you skinned and turned into the latest fashion accessory." Trying it's best to obey orders proved fruitless as it remained still barely able to keep flying with it's now sore wing. As Zubat's body continued to have random spasms Travis had grown tired of it's performance. " You worthless bat. If you cost me this score I will make sure you pay dearly. For your sake this next round from you had better be amazing." Sensing that Travis was not doing very well by now the Houndour and her pups began to howl cheering Grace on despite their fear of the evil man hoping their howls would give her Pokemon enough encouragement to win the battle and put the heartless Travis in his rightful place. Archer was peeved. He gave his opponent a disapproving look. ( "Why won’t you fight? Fight me! Before I take both your flappers out!" ) he trilled harshly, completely unaware of the Zubat’s current state of paralysis. His foe was a sorry excuse for an avian, he had to admit. Archer liked winning, but he also liked a challenge. This battle was chump change. It shouldn’t even count. Still, he couldn’t help but feel all that more powerful. After all, he was essentially the only competent flier at this point. He pumped his wings boastfully as he stared down the Zubat, making obvious that he had no trouble with that simple task.
”I can definitely tell that y’all have a special, loving friendship,” Grace remarked sarcastically, feeling her utmost confident. Archer was doing work, and Zubat didn’t seem too capable of hitting back. His Sneasel was tough, but this one didn’t seem like it was on that level just yet, luckily for them. ”You should totally give me some pointers after we wrap this up.” As if on cue, her Fletchling readied himself for another round, pumping his wings gradually faster. His attention was briefly stolen by the chorus of noise that erupted from a wiggling pile off to the side. Curious, but not distracted enough, Archer quickly refocused back onto his mission, charging a challenging stare into Zubat’s face.

Travis had certainly fallen once Grace had hit the scene. What felt like mere moments ago, he had successfully bagged a Houndour and her pups and was already planning on what to use his black market earned money on. But now, the troublesome female had taken down his prized Sneasel and rendered his Zubat completely useless. The constant quick attacks from the weird, red bird had been chipping away at the Zubat for some time and it had become obvious from the way his own Pokemon was moving that the final attack would end it all. What made things worse was how the Houndour had begun howling, almost taunting the hunter for failing the hunt. His blood boiling more than ever, Travis was desperate to think of a way to turn this back into his favour but no matter which way he looked, his future appeared bleak.
Cursing under his breath, he glared back over to Grace, who had been bold enough to send him a sarcastic remark. Feeling a blood vessel burst as his face lit red with absolute hatred, the man's eyebrows twitched but no words escaped his mouth. Completely stunned and blind with rage, the man deepened his tone as his hands instinctively tightened into fists by his side. "You... Little... BRAT!! Just you wait until I grab that dumb looking bird of yours and pluck it's feathers out one by one right in front of your dumb face!!" So enraged that he didn't even order an attack, even if he had, Archer would've easily out sped the Zubat. With incredible speed, the Fletchling zipped across the air with straight, hardened wings, his body slashing across and past the Zubat before turning in the air and returning back to his trainers side. The Zubat, unceremoniously tumbling to the ground.

Slowly soaking in his loss, Travis looked like a kettle which seriously needed to blow off some steam. That accompanied with the constant howling of the captured pups, he felt as if he was losing his mind. Luckily for Grace, she was able to avoid any fisticuffs as several people burst out from the wilderness wearing blue uniforms, a "MOVE MOVE MOVE!" echoing in the air. Within seconds, Travis was pinned down to the ground by a couple of police officers whilst others were attending to the captured Pokemon. Then, a lone female officer approached Grace, wearing a gentle smile. "Hello, trainer. We heard reports of a Pokemon Poacher in the area and when we heard the sounds of battle, we were led here, only to find the one criminal we were searching for."
Turning her head, the officer and Grace were able to see Travis being lifted up and pulled away, his roaring voice fading into the distance. "We're sorry we didn't appear to help earlier. We were waiting for just the right moment and you delivered it. Thank you for your help." Handing the trainer an envelope, the officer nodded forward, beckoning her to take it. "Please accept this reward money as a token of appreciation from the International Police Force. Farewell." Turning on the spot and walking off, a thought suddenly hit the officer and she quickly turned back, "Ooh! Another thing! The Houndour will be taken back with us to be treated at the Pokemon Centre and will then be released back into the wild. They too, are grateful of you I am sure." Smiling once again with a bow of her head, Grace was free to continue on.

The battle finally drew to a close as Archer, moving in his usual fashion of grace and speed, dealt his last attack, and Zubat came crashing to the ground. A huge sigh of relief heaved itself out of her tense person. They had done it! They had faced one of the toughest adversaries Grace had ever met, and they were coming out victorious. The battle turned from one of the most stressful situations she’s ever been stuck in to a huge confidence booster. She couldn’t believe they had fought so well. The girl couldn’t help but holler with joy. She snatched Archer from the air and laughed as she coddled him, none too gently. Grace wasn’t too reserved about seeming unsportsmanlike in front of Travis.
Speaking of whom, he was looking livid at the moment. His figure was absolutely shaking. No that there were no more Pokemon fighting, the scene was quite awkward. Grace shut up real quick from her festivities, the delicacy of their situation now dawning on her once more. Maybe she should’ve just not said anything. Moving her eyes over his tense, tightened knuckles, Grace was feeling nervous like she had before. If this guy was one to blow his top just like that, they were in massive trouble. He had no Pokemon left, she hoped, so it was only him. However, the red-faced man looked angry enough to knock little Archer, Terry, and poor Opais upside down and sideways. This guy could seriously mess up her face permanently.
Fortunately for her, she didn’t have to decide whether or not she wanted to feign any more courage than she had. In a whirlwind of events, the clearing was completely occupied by service workers in blue. Now this was immense relief. Finally, other humans who weren’t crazy. In fact, these good people were putting Mr. Crazy in cuffs and helping the Houndour out of their prison. Grace quickly returned her Pokemon into their respective balls and slowly backed out of the way. Most were primarily focused on getting the Poacher and Houndour out of there, but one woman approached her. Grace lifted her eyebrows in slight shock. ”A wanted criminal?” She couldn’t believe they managed to take down someone that infamous. ”Oh man… I’m not too surprised though…”
Grace watched the police officers take the man away, yelling as he went. Inwardly, she smirked. She couldn’t believe her luck. She was positive that she had been bluffing her way into more and more trouble… But it would appear that she wasn’t too off. This was way too lucky. The girl smiled up at the older lady. ”We’re just glad we could help y’all!” she said and received the envelope. ”Thank you so much!” Grace tucked the reward into her pack, fighting the childish urge to open up her present as soon as possible. ”That’s so great to hear. I hope they recover soon from this ordeal!”
The kind officer took her leave, and Grace was left standing on her own. She took a minute to take in her surroundings. Not a few minutes ago, this clearing was a battlefield for her and this Poacher. The serenity that now settled over the plain was slightly bizarre. She shook her head bewilderedly. What a crazy day full of crazy events and crazy emotions. It was way too soon to be a sad sap about it. Snapping out of her daze, Grace realized too late that the officers and the policewoman had already cleared out by now, so with no one to ask for directions out of this forest, Grace exchanged a lazy shrug with Terry, and the two of them started to make the trek back the way they came. As luck would have it, they would happen upon another set of Houndour tracks.

Following the next trail of tracks after her most recent run in with a Pokemon Poacher, Grace had experienced a lot in such a short space of time but she chose to continue on. As she continued along the dirt path, which was edged with lush tall trees, something in the distance was soon to catch her attention. What looked like the point of a tent protruded from the forest of trees, it's bright yellow, patterned material standing out from the variety of dark greens which scattered around it. It was strange that the tracks of the Houndour led towards this tent but maybe this one belonged to a trainer. The previous hound had clearly been wild, as she had pups that she protected but what about this one? Before Grace could approach any closer to the tent, a rustle from a near by bush caught her attention, along with the hushed voice of a man.
"Pst... PSSST! You! Yes, you there!!" Waving a hand in the air in a not so subtle way, he waited for Grace to approach him, even if he did look incredibly suspicious in his own way. "Glad I caught you! My name is Sammy, I'm working along side the Police but they had to leave to deal with something else... We've heard a few cases of Pokemon abuse in this area so we came to investigate. But, I can't go in there alone." Looking around sheepishly, the boy held a camera tightly. He may have came across suspicious at first but from his uniform, it was obvious that his story was genuine. "It's not something I would usually ask a civilian but would you give me a hand? All I need you to be is a distraction. Grab his attention long enough for me to take a few pictures... He is inside the tent and could leave at any second." Eagerly, Sammy stared at Grace hoping that she would aid him.
Suddenly, a pained howl roared out from inside of the tent. If Grace chose to enter, she would soon see that the abuse story was indeed true. A slender boy stood with his back towards the entrance of the tent, his foot pinning down a beaten Houndour. "You ran off. Again. Not only are you useless at contests but you can't even follow your master. You are useless. Scum." Hissing at what seemed to be his own Pokemon, off to the side, something else had noticed they were being watched. A prim feline leaping from a crate, her voice mewed to gain the attention of her trainer. Looking back, the abuser turned to the Glameow before spotting Grace in the corner of his eye. "Huh? Who the heck are you? Get out before I force you out!"

This day was just filled with surprises wasn’t it. As luck would have it, while backtracking through the never-ending wilderness, they seemed to converge with another sign of those Houndour things. Since Grace was already feeling lost, there wasn’t much to lose if they followed them. And followed them they did. She only hoped that she could be spared another encounter with someone like that Travis character. Shrubbery brushing at her legs, Grace traveled as close to the path as possible, carefully not to let it out of her sight. Her Squirtle was much less cautious and charging on ahead and looking back occasionally, hoping to speed up the slow pace his trainer was setting..
A strange sight stopped Grace in her tracks. A glaring yellow stuck out against the dense green. It looked innocent enough, and she almost talked herself into investigating when a whispered voice surprised her. Grace jolted slightly, bring her hand to her chest as she swung to face the direction the noise was coming from. ”Um…” Grace beckoned at herself questioningly, and with a little hesitation, slowly walked closer. What could this person want with her? She stopped a fair distance away. He could be another Travis for all she knew.
If the situation wasn’t already quite strange, this Sammy person, who worked with the Police apparently, didn’t help things. A camera in hand and a plea in his eyes, he had asked her to go into the tent and distract someone in there. And Pokemon abuse? So that is the theme of the day. Great. But also bad. Abuse was bad. ”Hey, Sammy. I’m Grace. Yeah, I’d love to help. That sounds terrible,” she said to the boy, letting her defenses fall. He seemed normal and trustworthy and police-y, kinda. ”Uh so, you just want me to go and make some noise for a bit, make a scene? I can try, yeah! What’s our code word?” A cry pealed the air, and Grace straightened up immediately.
”Okay, I’ll take that as my cue. Do whatever you need to. Code word is ‘pictures!’” With that, she hurried off into the direction of the makeshift building, Terry following closely behind. The pair crept up to the tent entrance and peered inside, their eyes adjusting to the change in lighting. Her breath caught in her throat when she managed to make out the scene. A person was standing, facing the other way, and a Houndour was on the ground, under the man’s foot. Grace was morbidly captivated by the scene, and she observed with complete unease as the man spoke spitefully to the Pokemon on its back.
She had to peel her eyes away from the horrible view and remember her little mission. So, they needed a distraction. She glanced down at her Squirtle, who was growling quietly in the back of his throat. Maybe send her entire squad after him? That sounded like a great plan. He didn’t have enough feet to hold them all down. Her brilliant scheming was interrupted when another figure came into view. This one wasn’t a person, but a small, cat Pokemon. And this one did not seem to be on that man’s bad side at the moment, unlike her canine comrade. In fact, the thing even alerted its trainer about their presence.
At least he’s distracted now. Grace bravely stepped forward into full view. This was part of the plan still. ”I’m Grace, nice to meet you,” she said sarcastically. ”And who the heck are you?” She was unclear with the details of her mission exactly, but just in case, Grace was careful not to slip up with any information regarding the alleged Pokemon abuse, so Grace decided to play it as cool as she possibly could. ”Actually, why don’t you get out before I force you out? What if I like being here?” Grace hurried to follow up her threats with the only logical thing that she could do.
A drowsy-looking Pancham appeared in a splash of light. ”Look, how cute. He’s rubbing his eyes. But he’s also really strong! Want to see?” Baylor shook the sleep from his eyes and crossed his arms, assessing the Glameow cooly. The panda waddled up a little closer, punching his fist into his palm. Should the cat decide to mess with him, he was ready to dish a knuckle sandwich back.

vs Coordinator Rod__________________________________
As Grace strolled in casually with an air of sarcasm about her, the green haired boy turned to face her properly and even began to slowly step forward to meet her himself. Leaving the side of the bruised and beaten Houndour, he squinted his eyes and gave Grace a look of pure disbelief. Was the female defying him? "Excuse me? Wait... Wait. Listen to me. Grace? Grace, that's your name, right? Well open your ears and listen carefully." Stopping with still a fair distance between them, he stood at a slight slant with his arm raised in the air in front of him, motioning his hand in loose gestures as he spoke back in a much slower, patronising tone. "What part. Of Get Out. Did you not understand?" Falling silent just to add another point to his arrogant attitude and let his words settle, he raised his eyebrows before shaking her head slightly from side to side.
"You see, Grace. I could leave but what you fail to realise is that you are standing in my property." Outstretching his arms and looking up to the ceiling of the material tent, he took a step or three backwards. "I'm a Coordinator and you are in my testing ground. No one is welcome in here. I cant let my... Training regime, be seen by others. You never know who may be competition these days." Considering Sammy was lurking around outside, could Grace have really stumbled across the rumoured abuser? The way he had treated his Houndour further pointed him into that category, as well as his vile attitude adding the topping on the cake. "So. I don't care if you like it here. Nor do I care about you in general. So get out." Rolling his eyes, Rod dug his hands in his pockets and was about to turn, certain that it would've been enough to chase Grace away. But instead, she had sent forward a Pokemon.
Curling his lip in disgust, it seemed a true thorn had wedged into his side. "I don't have time to play some silly game with you. But if it's the only way to make you leave, I don't have much of a damn choice." With a click of his fingers, his Glameow moved into position. "I'll make you speechless from the get go. Fake Out, Glameow!" With agile and elegant steps, the feline made her way sweetly toward Baylor before unleashing an array of scratches directly to his face. Sleepy enough as it was, the attack was so sudden that it caused him to flinch on the spot. Meanwhile, Sammy remained slow with camera in hand. If Grace could just keep him distracted long enough, he could get a picture of the person's face and the injured Houndour.

When the boy turned to face her fully, Grace was immediately struck by how stylish he looked. He started towards her, and Grace bit her lip nervously. His confidence and poise intimidated her. From his patronizing timbre and overt gestures, she would guess that he was the drama type. A condescending one at that. Slightly rubbed by the boy’s tone, Grace dug for a response. ”Uh, well, then, you have a very nice property. Too bad you’re not too warm towards visitors.” And what was a coordinator anyway? ”I don’t know why anyone would care. Your training methods probably stink anyway. Houndour doesn’t seem to like it too much,” she said, smirking slightly. She hoped that wasn’t too transparent of her.
Well, his attitude sucked, and his awful behavior toward his Pokemon also sucked, and Grace wanted nothing more than to leave and never deal with him again, but she wasn’t letting him get rid of her that easy. Especially since she was here to help out that Sammy person with his big case. Speaking of whom, where the heck was he?! Grace hoped he would hurry with whatever it was that he wanted to do. In the meantime, she guessed she could keep her Pokemon out to keep him at bay. ”What? Why would I leave? You haven’t even told me your name yet. How rude...” The brunette shrugged. ”I mean, what if I’m a huge fan of the great, uh, tent coordinator?”
”Oh, what a pretty kitty,” she gushed slightly when his Glameow stepped up to the plate. She snuck out her Pokedex. If anything, Grace was very impressed with the guy’s wordless command to his Pokemon. Her adoration turned into shocked annoyance when the Glameow flitted up to her Pancham and attacked his face. Baylor cried out, attempting to cover up his face from the surprise attack. Stumbling back slightly, the Pancham was too dazed to retaliate quickly enough. Gritting his teeth, he shot his nemesis lasers from his now fully-aware eyes. ”It’s okay Baylor, that was real fast. It would’ve gotten me too, so don’t you worry! Now show ‘em how to take a punch, yeah?” Baylor growled and dropped on all fours and began to approach the Glameow, poised to leverage himself back onto his feet to deliver his own attack.

Rod clenched his fists before crossing his arms, leering over at Grace with a smug look. "Look, i'm not gonna hold this against you. My Glameow has been trained since being hatched. She's especially bred for battle and contests, and I don't think you've faced someone so delicate, and dangerous." At the mention of itself, Glameow narrowed it's eyes and licked a paw, swiping it across her eye in a grand gesture of beauty and arrogance. The Pancham didn't seem to care, and charged forward for it's Arm Thrusts. One... Two... Glameow looked as though it was going to survive the hit, despite the damage... but an extra third hit sent the cat sprawling into the floor before Rod could retaliate with another attack. Rod's Glameow - Level |10| Health: 0/34 Current Status: ... No Attack! Grace's Baylor - Level |11|
Health: 30/39 Current Status: I'll do it to you, too! Successful Arm Thrust! (Hit 3 Times)
Baylor fought bravely, and has gained +2 levels and +1 Happiness for his efforts! Baylor is trying to learn Karate Chop! Will you delete a move to make room for Karate Chop? "Ugh, No!" Rod growled, stooping down to the side of his Glameow. "Her fur is ruined! Do you know how long it took me to brush it until it was perfect?" Returning his Pokemon, Rod gritted his teeth. He technically did have another Pokemon, but no, there wasn't much of a fight with his Houndour. Stupid creature... "I'm not done yet. You haven't seen everything that I have..." Rod began to speak, but whatever he was about to do was interrupted by a loud yowl, followed by Rod crying out in pain. Havoc, the Houndour, had jumped out, and was latched onto the boy's ankle. "Ugh!" Rod snarled, preparing to kick the mutt. However, Sammy had sprung from his spot, camera in hand. "Better not, i've got plenty of proof against you already, don't give me another to give to Officer Jenny!" Sammy chuckled. "The cops are on their way here right now. Plenty of Growlithe for your Glameow to fight..." He teased. Rod's eyes widened before he gritted his teeth and lowered his foot. Havoc let go and scurried to the side of Grace and Sam. "Fine! Take him and get out." He spun around and fled through the back of the tent. Sammy let out a sigh and looked at Grace with an expression of gratitude. "Thank you for helping me! I know it's not much, uh, but here ya go." Sammy handed Grace a Pokeball. "It's a Luxury Ball. I made it, uh, myself." He said shyly, before turning to tend to Havoc. She'd intervened on this Houndour's fate, thank goodness...
Grace received a Luxury Ball! They are now available for purchase in the Cherrygrove Pokemart.

Baylor finished his last strike soundly and brought both of his hard fists to his waist, smirking ever so slightly. Undaunted by the other trainer, coordinator, whatever he was, the Pancham held his ground even when Rod came toward his Pokemon. The problem was that this man was more concerned with his feline’s fur than its actual ability to get work done. ”Aw, yeah! Nicely done! I’m so proud of ya, Baylor,” Grace congratulated him happily. Celebrations were short as she remembered the serious situation they were in. She prepared herself for whatever Pokemon Rod had lined up next. The guy looked pissed. Luckily for them, they didn’t need to see everything that he had, because the Houndour that was sprawled on the ground earlier was suddenly at the his trainer’s feet. Baylor stiffened up immediately and gritted his teeth in anticipation should this newcomer decide anything funky. ”What the… Hey now--” Grace started as a strange fight was looking to break out between this boy and his Pokemon. It looked like he was seriously about to give Houndour the boot. But thank goodness because Sammy had finally decided to show up! Relieved by this more friendly boy’s presence, Grace was able to let her guard down. ”Oh man, oh man. I am lovin’ the cops today.”All jokes aside, she was relieved to know that this awful kid was gonna get what’s coming for him. If the Houndour’s quick scramble away from Rod and to her and Sammy was any indication, then she could reasonably assume that he was just trouble for the poor Pokemon. She was baffled to think that there were actually people out there who was legitimately like this, and it kind of made her sick to her stomach. The brunette crouched down slowly and cautiously extended a hand out toward the canine, intending to give it a comforting rub behind its ears. Too bad his Glameow still had to deal with his crap… She watched him make a run for it, and rolling her eyes, stood up. Hopefully he doesn’t get too far. ”Yeah, you’re welcome! I’m glad I could help you get those pictures. Guess your hunch was right. Good thing for this poor guy.” She glanced down sympathetically to the injured Pokemon. The girl accepted the ball. So fancy. ”Thanks very much! It’s way more than enough, I’m sure. I hope y’all get him and put a stop to whatever else he could do.”Saying goodbye to Sammy, and waving a farewell to Havoc as well, Grace ducked out of the tent, squinting at the bright light. Terry and Baylor followed her out. She cast a long look around, collected her bearings, and started walking. She was ready to get out of here. As much fun and excitement as the wilderness has in store for her, Grace was so fatigued, and she could imagine her Pokemon as well. Her sneakers dragged ever so slightly as she made the purposeful trip through the forest, eyes peeled for an opening in the trees. There were a lot on her mind at the moment, but one was most distinguished. She wanted some sleep. She could deal with the rest later. & that's a wrap
