Tossing out the Pokeball containing Leviya to the battle, Catherine continued her bonding with her recently caught and evolved Gyarados. The giant sea serpent and the mean canine stared at each other briefly, and both realized how intimidating each other looked, shuddering for a second or two before actually moving onto the battle now that looking was out of the way. "Heehee, thanks! Your.... green Pokemon is very cool looking itself. And wow, you got a Gyarados? I don't know many people who have one!" Brendan smiled, returning compliments to the trainer as the battle had begun. He noticed that both the Snubbull and the Gyarados recoiled a bit before doing they even attack. "You seem like a fun person to have a fun battle with. Now, Snubbull, start off with a Bite!"After Brendan had issued his command, the two Pokemon made their way to battle with each other. Although it was on land, the larger Gyarados had been able to strke first, slamming his body onto the petite but mean-looking Snubbull. The Snubbull was flung in the air, but skillfully balanced itself and landed on its feet. Then, the dog swiftly darted forward and leaped, biting onto one of Leviya's back and fin, making the water Pokemon just a little extra painful. Thankfully, Leviya's scaly hide also absorbed some damages from the opponent. "You did great, Snubbull!" Brendan cheered his Pokemon for landing back on its feet and retaliating with an attack right away.

With a giant smile spread across her face, Catherine raised her head slightly, puffed out her chest and placed her hands on her waist. Looking rather proud of herself, the young girl nodded her head in agreement to Brendan's words. "Yup, yup! Atlas is a Simisage, all the way from Unova, he is really really cool!" She had always been fond of Atlas and the two had a very close bond. Being together since he was a young and timid Pansage, the grass monkey had certainly grown in more ways than one. Somewhat shy from their compliments, the grass type scratched at his cheek whilst wearing a weary smile. But it didn't take long at all before attention fell onto Leviya, afterall, she was so huge that she was hard to miss. Looking downward with her fearsome eyes, she remained in a staring contest with the Snubbull as Catherine's voiced filled the route. "Heehee! Really?! I don't see why. Gyarados, or Leviya, is super friendly and really cute!" Holding her hands against her face, the trainer wriggled energetically on the spot.
Becoming a bit more serious as the battle truly started, Catherine made a mental note of everything what happened and planned on doing so for the future attacks. Aspiring to be a nurse meant that she wanted to learn everything there was to know about Pokemon, including the way they battled. Her emerald green eyes watching every move with great joy, a friendly smile spread across her cheeks as her own Pokemon struck first. "That's it, Leviya! You can do this!" Cheering on her Pokemon with an arm thrust into the air, she was eager to hurry up and welcome victory into her open arms... But the Snubbull was made out of stronger stuff. So much so that the attack landed on her own Pokemon dealt a good amount of damage, Gasping softly, it didn't deter either Catherine or the Gyarados. "This'll be a good battle, mhmm Leviya?" Having clearly found an opponent close to her own skill level, it wasn't going to end after one or two attacks this time. "Leviya, go in for another Tackle!" Roaring, the Gyarados coiled herself up, ready to strike again.

The battle between the two intimidating Pokemon was a rather eventful one as the first round drew to a close. Althoug neither Pokemon caused a massive amount of damage they managed to intimidate one another to such a point that neither Pokemon was at their peak physical strength. Leviya had gained a slight upper hand however the critical hit scored by Snubbull allowed the canine to keep things close enough that it could not be counted out just yet. If it could keep up a streak of lucky hits it might just be able to pull off an upset. Brendon just hoped that his beloved Pokemon would not get beaten up too badly by pushing itself. " You did great in that round Snubbull but do be careful. Gyarados can be a tough opponent and I do not wish to see you push yourself too much. Try a Headbutt this time. If it does not work we may need to come up with a new strategy." He said as the canine shook it's head ready to obey it's orders. Leviya was too fast however and before it could make a move she was already floating towards Snubbull at a breakneck pace without a hint of mercy in her eyes. The young Gyarados rammed he foe with all the might she could muster causing a decent amount of damage all things considered. Snubbull was not out of the fight yet however as it ran after the serpent Pokemon who had begun making her way towards Catherine. The canine leaped into the air before falling head first onto Leviya's back causing a considerable amount of damage as well. With the second round now over Brendon could not help but to comment on the strength of both Pokemon involved. " If it were not for Intimidate this match would have been a real slug fest. I do not think either Pokemon could have lasted this long if they were at full strength. I am very excited to see how the next round unfolds." After yet another round, accompanied by the words of Brendon, Catherine could also tell that this battle had slowed right down, likely due to the intimidating ability both Pokemon were capable of. Due to this, both the Gyarados and Snubbull were weary of one another, their attack dropping lower than there usual level of skill. The young nurse could see this and became worried for Leviya. She was certain that her Pokemon could win and placed great faith in every member of her team she had met up until this point but she also knew when backup was needed and she was heavily considering this option. Noticing Catherine hadn't responded to Brendon's words straight away, Atlas looked up to her by her side, tilting his head at her complex expression. Chimping quietly to grab her attention, the grass monkey gave his chest a pat, to which Catherine's green eyes sparkled and face stretched a grin.
"Both of our Pokemon are really on equal skill levels, huh? At this rate, we'll be here for some time to come!" Her words heavily implying the next actions she would take, Catherine hoped that her opponent didn't take offence. She loved people, especially battling against trainers but she was only human and impatience was a horrid trait of hers. "I'll stir things up a bit! Okay?" Grinning innocently, Catherine raised a Pokeball and spoke out to her Gyarados, "You did great, Leviya! Come back for a rest!" With a big flash of light, the sea leviathan was quickly withdrawn back into her Pokeball and without even guessing otherwise, Atlas stepped forward. The cool Simisage fixing up his leaf hair-do, Catherine pointed a finger straight ahead of her. "Atlas here will take over now! Atlas! Use Seed Bomb!" A sly smirk crossing the grass monkey's face, he was ready to attack this Snubbull, who had been doing so well in defending itself from Leviya's attacks.

While both the Snubbull and Gyarados were just about equal in strength, when the Simisage had been summoned, the grass type Pokemon had been readied to show off a move or two. The smug Simisage giggled for a bit, and then sent forward a series of seeds from the head. The ominous seeds then exploded in a few seconds after landing on the ground, and the explosions were enough to knock out the Snubbull. The seed bombs did mixed things up a bit too fast. "Woah, that's a cool move! Nice! Nice, Simisage!" Brendan exclaimed, gasped in awe as such a cool attack had knocked his Pokemon out. "You did great, Snubbull, return! And you're up, Mareep" The trainer swapped the Pokemon. The intimidating looking Snubbull was now replaced by a fluffy and adorable electric Pokemon. The Pokemon bleated after getting out of the Pokeball, and sniffed the air, as well as surrounding grass to examine the fresh air. Then, it walked slowly and faced Catherine, for a battle, of course.

Her fingertips still keeping Leviya's Pokeball tightly gripped in her palm, Catherine allowed her reliable partner to enter the fray in the Gyarados' stead. The water leviathan had fought hard thus far and if not for the intimidating aura between the two, which had effected each others attacking power, she would've continued to push on. Hoping that the Gyarados wouldn't take anything personally with her choice of withdrawal, Catherine nodded, focused on carrying on with the battle. Atlas had since slid forward, accepting that his turn was up next. Since Catherine had taken his gestures to heart, the Pokemon was certain that he could do something that Leviya was struggling with; defeating the trainer's Snubbull. Having watched from the sidelines, the intimidating glare that the pink dog portrayed did little in terms of scaring Atlas, which made it all the more easier for him. With a scattering of bombs, the grass monkey knocked the canine clear off of it's feet and in turn, brought victory to this round for Catherine.
The young girl's eyes gleaming with excitement, she clicked her fingers together as Brendon acknowledged just how awesome her Simisage was. Beginning to feel that she had truly made the right choice, it was likely that her Gyarados just needed a bit more training to catch up to Atlas' level. If that was the case, she simply needed to find opponents more on her level! "You betcha! Atlas has always been cool! Every since he was a little Pansage!" Grinning widely upon remembering the much smaller form of Atlas, this more bold attitude of his was certainly one she welcomed. Thinking that the battled had ended, she was pleasantly surprised to see the boy bring out another Pokemon. That was fine, Catherine didn't mind continuing. Perhaps it would even mean that Leviya could appear back in the battle. That was what she thought, until she saw the opponent. Thigh high with a mass of fluffy far, as cute as the Pokemon was, Catherine immediately knew that electricity would not be a good match for her Gyarados.
"Ahh! What a cute cute CUUUTE Mareep!" Smiling over the sight of such an adorable creature, she knew that there was not enough time to fawn over her opponent. Instead, she pondered to herself, wondering if it was best to stick with Atlas or if another Pokemon of hers could do with the battle experience. In the end, she figured that if the Mareep was just as strong, or more so, as the previous Snubbull, then none of her team would be able to fully handle it. So, she played a safe cafe and smiled, with a nod aimed at Atlas. Smirking, he clapped his hands together before turning to look at the Mareep. "I'll be sticking with Atlas! Let's go with a Dig this time!" Readying himself, the grass type lifted his hands, ready to dig a tunnel and emerged under the feet of the enemy.

Deciding against to send Leviya the Gyarados back into the field against an electric Pokemon, Catherine continued to have Atlas the Simisage to proceed the battle. Choosing to use a surprisingly super-effective move, the opponent was starting to look a little uneasy. Smiling sheepishly, he replied with a smile on his face, "Aww, thank you! Mareep always make my day bright." He chuckled at his own pun, and then gave his own Pokemon a command. "And wow, if I knew that your Simisage knows dig, I should have had my Snubbull hit harder! Alright, Mareep, try your best and listen to where the Simisage comes out and dodge, then use Thunderwave!"And so both he and his Pokemon wiated anxiously, for when the digging monkey would come out. One bulbasaur, two bulbasaur, three bulbasaur.... fifteen bulbasaur.... twenty-three bulbasaur and BAM! The Simisage dug out right when the Mareep wasn't suspecting, and break the ground open and then slammed the Mareep so hard that it fainted. Seeing his defeat, Brendan sighted and returned his Pokemon, and congratulated Catherine for her win. He also gave her the appropriate winning prize reward, and thanked the trainer for showing him cool Pokemon that he could talk about next time when he's socializing with his people. After he had left, the route was back to just Catherine and Atlas.
Atlas gained 1150 exp from winning! Now Level 28! 674/2437 to level 29! He gained 1 happiness, now +13! Josuke gained 1 level from EXP share, now level 16! Brendan awarded Catherine 840 for winning! (updated) OOC: going ahead and do two turns since you can't do anything while dig goes on anyways.

Holding a hand up to her lips, the young girl began to giggle, humouring Brendan for his very flashy pun. Most would've rolled their eyes but the childish mind of Catherine found things like that incredibly funny. As her laughter continued, Atlas rubbed his hands together and with a mighty clap of his palms, began to dig away at the earth of the route. Burrowing himself a tunnel, the Simisage disappeared from sight but continued moving under ground. "Ah-haha... Hahaha!" Trying to calm herself down, Catherine wiped a tear or two which had begun to overflow from her large eyes, before responding to Brendan's surprised remark. "Y-Yeah! Do you have that little app on your Poketch? Which allows you to listen to the radio? The salesman on there is my favourite! He sent me a mystery TM, so I taught it to Atlas!" Sticking up her thumb cheerfully, he tongue poked out from the side of her lips playfully. "It's a surprise move that no one would expect! Riiight?!" Clearly proud of her choice in who to teach the move to, she would've likely taught it to Yumina the Blissey if she were able to, purely for the laughs. But Atlas actually made good use of this move and was able to avoid trouble in a pinch with it.
Standing on the spot, the innocent and fluffy looking Mareep looked around wearily, all until the ground began to shift beneath it's feet. Erupting upward, the grass monkey pushed his way up, knocking the Mareep down as well as making a muddy mess. As his feet touched the ground once more, the Pokemon looked from left to right, searching for his opponent. But the electric sheep had long since fainted, leaving Catherine and her team to be the victors this time. "Pheeeew! That was a close battle!" She exclaimed, as Brendan approached and congratulated her. "Your Snubbull was really strong and I bet your Mareep was aswell! Atlas is just really quick!" Noticing that the Simisage had stood back next to her, she went to ruffle his head but immediately stopped. "Eww! Atlas! You are all muddy now!" Flinching on the spot, the grass type looked up in horror. He didn't want to be dumped in water! Getting a head start of dashing off thanks to the distraction of Brendan, Catherine hurriedly accepted his money before nodding a head to him. "Thank you so much for the battle! I hope we meet again!" Waving him off, all the trainer could likely hear was Catherine shouting; "GET BACK HERE ATLAS! YOU NEED A WASH!" as she disappeared along the route.
As she chased after Atlas, heading the opposite way from the city, the grass monkey came to a halt as he noticed that he had gone head first into tall grass. Heading a mad rustling behind him, he froze in case of an enemy but instead, it was simply Catherine. Gasping for breath, she immediately grabbed hold of the Simisage by the shoulders. "Hah... Hah... Stop running!" Now that they were no longer on the path, the chance of bumping into another opponent was higher than before.

The lumbering Simisage, fearful of baths, made his way into the tall grasses only to be 're-captured' by his human trainer. The monkey was definitely lucky that it wasn't something else far more scary that had been behind him, and instead, was back in the safe arms of his trainer. However, what the Simisage was unaware of was the grass that he was actually standing in. Rushing in too quickly, Atlas would have had no way of smelling the territorial markings of a rather brutish Pokemon in the area. But, with Atlas's next step, his foot would make a loud crunching sound as the little monkey stepped on a freshly shedded snake skin. Seviper had been working all day to make sure it's territory, a small patch of grass on the far outskirts of the Goldenrod City, was freshly marked before the creature molted. It had to be careful that no Zangoose attempted to take advantage of it's weakened state while it molted, because then the rivalry would end with a freshly smoked snake. Seviper was incapacitated for a few moments while the molting took place, first in flakes until Seviper was able to just slither out of the old skin. It lay there in most of one piece, albeit old skin. The fresh black, purple and yellow scales glinted in the sunlight and Seviper lay the skin on the outskirts of the grass. If anything, it'll warn nosey trainers to stay away and if nothing else, alert Seviper to intruders. So, of course, when the crinkling of it's skin reached Seviper's ears, it let out an angry hiss and began to stalk towards where it had left it. It wasn't all that far away. It didn't take long at all for Seviper to spy the intruders. A female trainer and a grass Pokemon that Seviper had never seen. No matter. It's poision attacks would be enough to fend it's home. Besides, it could have been worse. It could have been another pesky Zangoose. Rising up above the tall grasses with the massive strength of the snake's musculature, Seviper hissed as it loomed over Catherine and Atlas. It was definitely a challenge, and with the posture that Seviper was taking, any one attempting to run would be on the receiving end of a painful bite. Angry Seviper (Level 19) is unhappy with your tresspassing!

As Catherine finally got hold of Atlas, the duo realised in unison that they had become quite deep within very tall grass. So tall and overgrown that it was next to impossible to see anything around them, luckily, some down trodden grass suggested which direction they had come from. That was good. Catherine enjoyed exploring, she was on a journey after all, but the last thing she wanted was to become lost. With how close they were to the exit of Ilex Forest, she didn't want to accidentally step across the boundary and find her way back inside, only to become lost again. Atlas had a reasonable sense of direction but Catherine could be stubborn and believe her way to safe, too. Either way, they weren't anywhere close to Ilex but they were being watched and the Simisage could feel it. As if feeling dagger drag across his back, the Simisage stood protectively in front of Catherine, his foot making a very loud crunch against something. In unison, the trainer and Pokemon looked downward, even the face of the thrill loving Catherine draining of colour.
"Ah!... Haha! That looks like a shed skin!" Her words wobbly and grip around Atlas' shoulders tightening, the monkey merely nodding in acknowledgement. "Ha... Haha... Guess that means it is still around here, huh?" Getting another nod back in return, Catherine gulped. "Maybe we should. Ooh, I dunno... Run?" Despite her rather sensible response for once, their lurking opponent was not the type to let their prey wander free. A hiss in the distance, the two hurriedly looked to one another and took multiple steps backward. Right to where the Seviper lurked. As the long serpent raised it's body to show off it's intimidating appearance, the shadow it cast over the backs of Catherine and Atlas caused the duo to freeze. "It's there. Isn't it?" Straining her words through clenched teeth, Atlas grunted, knowing that it would be best to take care of an opponent like this as quickly as possible.
With a frantic push, Atlas firstly ensured a distraction, pushing Catherine over and into a clump of tall grass, so that she was momentarily hidden. In doing this, he then jumped into the air and with his hands ready, began to dig a hole. There was no doubt that Atlas could defend himself despite his weakness to poison, if anything bad happened to him then Catherine would be there. But if the snake aimed for her, then Atlas would be ready to strike.

The Seviper, rather pleased with itself and the reaction that it's opening intimidation caused, allowed it's body to thud against the ground as it returned to the dirt to slink through the tall grasses. With noble effort, Atlas had shoved Catherine into a more horizontal rather than vertical position, hiding her from the wild Seviper within the tall grasses. Whatever. That was fine. Seviper didn't want to attack the young girl this time, the Simisage was the one that entered Seviper's territory first. Besides, it should be easy with Seviper's Venoshock and strong jaw. Hissing angrily, Seviper turned away from Catherine and watched Atlas disappear into the ground, digging rather uncharacteristically to other grass Pokemon that Seviper had encountered. Seviper glared angrily, peering down the hole as if attempting to connect with Atlas. However, there was no Simisage here to attack. The snake thrashed it's tail against the ground angrily, hissing and spitting before glaring over at Catherine. She was still hidden within the grasses, more than likely sitting still so Seviper didn't want to waste time searching for her. Why waste time when Seviper could prepare an attack now for when Atlas comes back up? Poison dripped from Seviper's mouth as it began to gurgle up and prepare a poisionous attack for the grass Pokemon when it emerged. Atlas, satisfied with his digging, emerged from the ground under Seviper, catching it by surprise. The shock and power from the dig attack made Seviper spit out it's attack, but when it hit the ground, it didn't move. Atlas, once again covered in mud and dirt, had used the Dig to finish out a battle while the massive snake parted some of the grasses with it's length and weight. When it didn't stir, Atlas concluded that it was safe and the battle was over. Rather quickly, actually. Seviper definitely underestimated Simisage, as the level of experience between to the two of them was a bit more than Seviper could swallow. As Catherine was pushed backward by Atlas, the young girl landed softly due to her large, dress and immediately covered her mouth with her hands, to stop herself from crying out. Unaware of such a Pokemon lurking along the route, Catherine was fully aware of just how dangerous poison type Pokemon could be, especially one with huge fangs such as that. She might've loved Pokemon and tried to make friendships with all but she wasn't completely stupid. Worried about Atlas, however, Catherine did want to stand up and rush back out into the open but made a rather mature choice of deciding against it. Atlas had made this action for a reason and chances were, he had a plan. Still, her hands couldn't help but skim the surface of the other Pokeballs which sat around her belt. Surely there was someone who could help? Even Leviya might've been able to been intimidating enough to scare the Seviper off. Gripping hold of the ball tightly, for now, there was still the chance of the Seviper ignoring the Simisage and aiming for Catherine but luckily for her, the serpent had taken the bait.
Aiming specifically for the grass monkey, as he dug his way under ground, the dark skinned snake glared through the tall grass. It was a good thing Catherine had stayed hidden, otherwise she would've been petrified on the spot! Then, for the young nurse, the next and only noise she heard, after the gentle hissing of the Seviper was some sort of impact. It was Atlas, digging up from the ground and crashing into the jaw of the Seviper, knocking it out cold. Covering her head with her arms, Catherine flinched her eyes shut tight, jolting backwards as she felt something suddenly grip onto her arm. "W-Woah!" Preparing her Pokeball, she froze upon seeing an even filthier Atlas, who attempted to grab hold of her once again and tug her up and onto her feet. "Atlas?!... You're okay!" Smirking with a hint of arrogance, the Simisage pulled Catherine out from the patch of tall grass and together, the two looked over the fainted body of the Seviper.
"S-Scary!" Catherine stuttered before looking down to Atlas, "Hopefully we don't bump into anymore of them. C'mon, let's go, just incase!" Completely forgetting to follow the down trodden grass path they had made earlier, the duo instead ran deeper into the tall grass, in hopes of finding the path. Clearly neither of them were any good at directions.

With the Seviper defeated, Catherine and Atlas could proceed further into the Goldenrod Route. Unfortunately for them, they were getting further and further away from the actual city and much closer to becoming rather lost. Ideally, keeping a visual of the City was the best tactic, but with all of the trees at the horizon, it looked more as though the duo were heading in the opposite direction. Progressing further, the tall grass gave way to an open field with no signs or wooden posts to give any sort of direction. Instead of tall grass, when one passed the field it was nice, smooth hills with a few patches of grass here and there. A few campers were setting up camp and tents in the middle of the field, and when one noticed Atlas and Catherine, he bounded over with a smile. "Howdy! You two look lost. But welcome anyway! This is the Munchlax Scout camp! My name is Tod, and I don't think you're welcome to camp with us because you're a girl. Sorry! Scratching the back of his neck sheepishly, Tod didn't seem to grasp the entire situation and was instead wrapped up in his own little world of exciting camping adventures. A lightbulb seemed to go off though as Tod grabbed a Pokeball and grinned. "I don't think battling is against the rules though!" At this point, a few of the campers stood up from their tasks and wandered over to watch the battle that was about to unfold. A few Pokedollars could be seen being passed around as bets, so perhaps Tod was about to get some street cred from the rest of the Munchlax Scouts? It certainly put Catherine in an odd predicament. Speaking of odd, Tod's Pokemon was released and into the field plopped a Psyduck. It gripped it's head for a moment before yawning dopily. "Oh, i'm sorry miss! I didn't even ask your name. Rule number 3 of Munchlax Scouts! Be kind and courteous to others, as well as polite." Tod recited, sticking two fingers into the air as he recited. It was almost kinda cute. One of the boys chuckled off to the side. "Heh, Rule number 12 of Munchlax Scouts. Don't lose in Pokemon battles or you get a bagillion noogies!" The rest of the boys laughed, and Tod gulped. "I... I'll uh, have to check the book on that one. But it's your move, miss!" He seemed nice and genuine enough, although Psyduck seemed to be more interested with a bug on the grass at this point. Escaping from the clutches of the vicious Seviper, both Catherine and Atlas ran hand in hand to try and get to safety. For all they knew, other snakes had been alerted by their fallen brethren and were hot on their tail that very second. But Catherine had always been the overdramatic type and was likely worrying over nothing. "We should-- Be far enough soon!" Having moved away from their previous location, both Catherine and the Simisage felt their eyes widen as the tall grass which towered over them, parted to reveal a clearing. Much more like the places she wanted to train in, she looked around slowly, looking as if she was ready to drop to her knees. "Ah! So happy to be out of that grass!" She gasped out loud in relief, as Atlas began to rummage his hands across himself, dusting off specks of dirt from all the digging he had been doing. "Maybe we should go back to fishing? That was much safer. Mmhmm." A bit spooked from being faced with the pair of large, poisonous fangs, Catherine realised that there truly were big, scary Pokemon in the wild.
A voice suddenly calling out to the duo, both Catherine and Atlas tensed up in unison, both looking very scruffy and almost suspicious after all the running they had done. Her large emerald green eyes taking in the sight of a camp seating a number of young boys, she looked to the one who approached her welcomely and very quickly regained her smile. "Hi there!" She chirped out in her usual, cheerful tone, "What's that? Munchlax Scouts?" Trailing off as the boy introduced himself, Catherine clapped her hands together enthusiastically, "That... Is so cute!!" Although Catherine herself was only sixteen, she applauded the fact that these boys, who were much younger than her, were brave enough to camp out in a place like this. "You are all so brave! Aren't you scared of the Seviper around here?" Unsure if they realised just how close they were to the possible nest of the dangerous Pokemon, she changed subject. Clearly they were capable enough.
"My name is Catherine. It's nice to meet you Tod and the rest of the Munchlax Scouts!" Waving her hand up in the air to be aimed past Tod and toward the other boys, their little group screamed 'no girls allowed' but she was going to stick around to fulfil the invitation to battle, atleast. "Heehee, I don't mind one bit! I'm training to face the Gym nearby so any help is, well, helpful!" Grinning widely, she rummaged around for her own Pokeball choice after seeing her opponent. "If you're gonna use Psyduck, then I'll use... Leviya!" A Gyarados erupting from the Pokemon, Catherine stood behind the tall, towering serpent and slightly bowed her head, "Let's have a fun battle! Try your best cause I know I wouldn't want a bagillion noogies! Ouchie!" Tapping her head lightly with her fist and sticking out her tongue playfully, she then threw her arm forward to give her order, "Okay Leviya, start off with a Bite attack!" Coiling forward, the intimidating beast took sight of her opponent, large jaws ready to strike.
OOC: Gyarados using Bite.

Ecstatic that Catherine had accepted his battle, Tod pumped a fist into the air with a shrill 'yipeee!' before composing himself. After the nice woman had introduced herself, all of the Munchlax Scouts bowed their heads slightly before waving in unison like a Munchlax. As a group it was incredibly adorable and something Catherine could appreciate. "We're pleased to meet you, Miss Catherine!""We're pleased to meet you, Miss Catherine!""We're pleased to meet you, Miss Catherine!"The group of boys, probably amassing to about ten in total, made a little ring around the two of them, leaving a bit of space for Pokemon. Expecting Catherine to have small, cute Pokemon like the Goldenrod Gym Leader, enough space had not been prepped for what was about to come. "You're gonna face the Gym? The Gym Leader, Whitney, is really strong!" "And really cute." The noogie boy piped in, snickering to himself. Tod grew red in the face and turned. "Hey! Rule number 5 of Munchlax Scouts is to be respectful!" Managing to brush off the blush, Tod turned to get his head back into the battle while the other scout merely shrugged. "I may be young, but i'm not blind.""I can't wait to see what kind of Pokemon you send out! Whitney uses small, cute Pokemon and it's really c-" Before Tod could finish his sentence, the looming Gyarados had been released. A few boys scattered to the side to make extra room for the Gyarados with horrified glances. Noogie boy snickered. "Cute? It's cute how she uses small, cute Pokemon?" "I WAS GONNA SAY COOL!" Tod pulled his hat over his face to hide his red face before faltering in the shadow of the large dragon. "Miss Catherine is a really good trainer to have a Gyarados. I've only ever seen two in my lifetime. That's impressive. But! I have myself to protect from noogies. Let's get this going, Psyduck! Her Gyarados may be big, but it's not useful if it's asleep! Yawn!"Leviya wasted no time lashing forward to sink her fangs into the Psyduck's plump body. Such speed and accuracy was something the boys were in awe of, and most were awe stricken and wide-eyed. Even though Tod was supposed to be focused in on the battle, it was obvious he was extremely ecstatic to be in the presence of such a powerful and cool Pokemon. Thankfully he gave his attack already, otherwise he probably wouldn't have been able to form words. Taking the attack like a champ, Psyduck took advantage of Leviya's closeness and yawned right in the face of the Gyarados. "My momma always tells me to not yawn in front of her, because yawns are contagious!" Tod smiled, proud of his Psyduck. At least the yellow duck wasn't transfixed with the Gyarados. If Catherine wasn't careful she'd be giving the boys rides in the lake with Leviya with how quickly their cuteness could take down her defenses.
