Whilst the battle continued, a storm was rolling in over head from the ever endless ocean. Dark clouds and clatters of thundered boomed, causing the young girl to jump out of her skin. As darkness spanned above her head, the aspiring nurse flinched, a down pour of rain suddenly covering the entire route. "O-Oh no! It's a thunderstorm!" She exclaimed, turning her head toward Atlas, who still appeared to be fishing. "Come on over here, Atlas!" Loudly suggesting for her Pokemon to get out from the rain and hide under the tree Catherine stood beneath, the Simisage didn't feel the need to be told twice. Pulling the rod up from the water, the grass monkey scrambled across the grass, getting himself under some shelter before shaking off the excess raindrops which had coated his body. With one team member safe, the girl then placed her focus back on the battle. She had thrown a Ultra Ball and with this weather rolling in, she had timed it just right.
Shaking from side to side, the ball containing the Shellder wobbled. It was always a scary moment for a trainer, as they waited to see if their throw had been successful or not. But after a number of seconds, the ball clicked in success. Despite the horrid weather, Catherine's eyes beamed energetically and with a manic, sudden dash into the rain, she moved to collect the Pokeball before rushing back under the large, dry tree. "We got another Pokemon!" She let out a gleeful cheer, drying off the surface with a layer from her dress before placing the ball away. But as she did this, she lifted out another set of balls, "Maybe it would be best to return for now. With the weather like this, I wouldn't want you to get a cold." Looking between each of her Pokemon, Kiki had particularly looked drenched from the sudden downpour but there wasn't enough space under the tree for everyone to stay dry.
Giving a concerned look to their trainer, she stuck up her thumb to relieve them of any worry they had for her. "Don't worry, I'll head straight for a Pokemon Centre and stay there until the rain stops!" With that, she withdrew Kiki, Juris and Josuke, stopping at Atlas who refused to be withdrawn. Not because he disliked being inside of his Pokeball, if anything it was a nice moment of peace but he too, was worried about his careless trainer. Smiling, Catherine leant forward to pat his head but found herself tripping up instead. "Wo-WOAH!" Crashing head first into the tree, causing the entire thing to shake uncontrollably, a lone Pokeball slipped from her collection, the large figure of Blissey emerging with a flash of light. It was a good thing too, as whilst Catherine yelped and cradled her face, Atlas had looked away in embarrassment, leaving only Yumina to realise that they had disturbed a wild Pidgeotto. Preparing an Ice Beam, she wasn't sure what was going on but she would attack anything that could be a potential enemy to Catherine.

Wild Pidgeotto (Level 19) has been disturbed! With the rain now disturbing both wild Pokemon and wandering trainers, it was a mad scramble to get under the safety of trees and buildings. Given that the route wasn't necessarily laden with many umbrellas and structures, the best bet would take to the trees like many of the Wild Pokemon had. Pidgeotto was no exception as it banked hard, wind and water whipping at it's wings with little regard for the Pokemon's dwindling strength. What had promised to be a nice day with occasional warm drafts of air had turned into a nasty thunderstorm. Imagine the birds surprise when its day was cut short! Already irate with the happenings, it cursed the oceanic currents (thanks Lugia) and nestled on its home branch, none the wiser. Beak nestled in it's feathers, Pidgeotto began to preen and wash it's feathers. After being soaked, the best thing would be to dry off in order to try and keep warm. The comforts of its home tree would keep it warm... While it's head was preoccupied under a wing it didn't hear the trainer under the tree. She was returning Pokemon into pokeballs with great flashes, but Pidgeotto figured that was probably just lightning flashing off in the distance. It wasn't until a loud thunk shook the tree, knocking Pidgeotto off balance. Since it's head was under wing currently preening, there was no way to catch itself as Pidgeotto began to crash and plummet towards the ground. Angrily screeching, Pidgeotto opened its wings and glared at the young girl. A bright flash surprised it once more, revealing a Blissey. A knee jerk reaction from the Blissey's part shot an Ice Beam straight at the bird, who had merely wanted to get dry. Instead it had been wet once more after being knocked out of its tree, and THEN it was shot with a cold beam. It hit the ground with a soft thud, feathers becoming more soaked as it lay there unconscious. Knee Jerk reactions are the best! Yumina has gained +950 experience and +1 Happiness! Trying to soothe her pounding face with warming, circular rubs of her hands, Catherine was blissfully unaware that a battle was going on right next to her. Upon shaking the tree, a wild Pidgeotto had appeared and it was none too happy, considering it also wanted nothing more than to flee into some shelter after the sudden downpour of rain. But her clumsy actions had meant that Yumina, her Blissey, had managed to pop out of her own Pokeball, the incredibly overactive creature bounding into action straight away. Sun, rain, hail or snow, there was nothing that would put a damper on Yumina's energetic personality. She would happily eat, sleep or battle in any condition presented before her and this was no exception. As the Pidgeotto cooed in midair, the Blissey turned towards the direction of the avian, aware of it's presence. Puzzled after being shaken from it's tree, the bird noticed the girl but her Pokemon was equally at the ready.
Without even questioning what was going on, Yumina took in an icy cold breath, releasing a crackling beam of ice which shot through the air and pinned the bird to the ground. In a matter of seconds, the potential threat was dealt with. Tutting to herself, Catherine finally raised her scarlet face from her hands. "Tch tch... Hmm? Yumina?" Unaware that her Pokemon had popped out of her Pokemon, the aspiring nurse glanced between her Blissey and the sight of a fainted Pidgeotto close by. Unable to make sense of the situation, for now, she was atleast able to pin the blame on herself. There was no doubt her previous trip had brought the avians attention to Catherine. "L-Let's move it under here!" With the help of Atlas, who was rather cautious of the Pidgeotto, the group moved the fainted Pokemon beneath the shelter of the tree before agreeing to move elsewhere before it woke up.
Together, the group hurried back to Goldenrod City, in order to seek some shelter from the rain, grab a bite to eat and also stock up on some supplies. She also took a moment to make a slight change to her party before heading back out into the local route once again. This time, however, she was more prepared. "The rain just doesn't seem ready to stop yet." The young girl mumbled, a large umbrella raised over her head. As usual, her Simisage was nearby but something else clung to her shoulder. A sleepy Pokemon known as Munna was joining her brief visit to the route and whilst she seemed uninterested, the Pokemon was always keeping watch. Infact, within moments of walking down the path, the Munna floated forward and let out a random Yawn at a bush. Leaves rustling, a pink blob oozed itself into view... It was a Ditto!

The Ditto soon appeared but after seeing Munna it quickly transformed into a Munna itself. Munna looked a bit confused as she looked at somewhat herself. Munna soon shock herself out of it though and realised her yawn was getting to the ditto now Munna. Munna wasn't sure what her trainer wanted to do. Did Catherine want to catch it? Or did she want to fight it to train her pokemon a bit? Sadly Munna couldn't tell so all she could do was watched the Ditto sleep as she awaited an order or an idea of what Catherine wanted to do. Feeling Marzena raise from her shoulder, Catherine turned her head slightly and followed the course of the sleepy Pokemon with her large, emerald green eyes. The Munna always came across as a lazy sort but deep down, she was constantly on the look out for approaching foes, using her sensitive psychic energy to pick up on flickers of nearby movements. This case was no different. As usual, Catherine was walking around with blind glee, ignorant to most around her. It was a good thing her Pokemon were more competent. Thus, the pink Pokemon sporting a floral pattern left the safety of the umbrella in her trainer's grasp and randomly approached the bush. Giving an almost worried side glance to Atlas, the Simisage folded his arms. Of course, the wild Pokemon was so close by that it was practically impossible to miss. He was aware of it's presence too.
Letting out her loud yawn, Marzena felt the cool droplets of rain slide down her smooth down, a feeling which would wake most up. But it wasn't the Munna that was ready for a nap. Slowly, a Ditto slid into view and with it, Catherine's eyes lit up. "Another pink Pokemon!" She exclaimed with glee, taking an energetic spring forward. "And it is a Ditto! W-Well it used to be!" In a matter of moments, the now sleepy Ditto began to wobble and slowly, it's own pink body began to change shape. Shifting into an exact replica of her own Pokemon, Marzena, it would've been impossible to tell them apart. Using her spare hand to scratch the side of her head, Catherine raised her eyebrows, "That Ditto sure is skilled. Look how sleepy it is! It has copied Marzena down to such specifics!"
Thinking that the Ditto was getting into character by copying the behaviour of her own Pokemon, it turned out that the Ditto-transformed-Munna was finally feeling the effects of Marzena's earlier yawn. Falling to sleep on the spot, Marzena blinked her eyes and slowly turned to Catherine, as if asking how to proceed. She had successfully stopped her trainer from walking blindly into the Ditto's den but now, would they flee, battle or perhaps even capture? Pondering to herself, Catherine let out a childish giggle. "I wonder what the Ditto is dreaming about?!" Her words burst out, voicing her thoughts, "Marzena! Use Dream Eater and find out, okay? Make sure you don't go TOO overboard though. Look at how cute it looks." Deciding to take the battle route, Catherine's own Munna turned to look at the slumbering Ditto-Munna. Ready to drain it's energy by consuming it's dreams, Catherine took a step back and jumbled through her items, trying to find one in particular.

The Ditto um... Munna slept quietly on the battle field, it's side slowly raised and fell. The ditto slide around happily, in flower fields stopping every so often to pick some of the pretty flowers to smell it. Ditto reached the edge of the field and the world just stopped and turned to darkness, frighting the poor Ditto. He ran of the edge of its dream to land softly in a field of grass like nothing had happened.
Mean while on the battle field Munna eyes had lit up a pink colour firing, his dreamer eater attack at the Ditto. The peaceful sleeping Ditto started twist and turn in his sleep, clearly being effected by dream eater. But it all soon calmed down and the battle field of once again quiet. Looks like Ditto won't be waking up with round. Battle

The Ditto continued to sleep and with her trainer giving her a command, the floating Munna continued on with the attack. Floating a little closer to the slumbering foe, Marzena seemed to pause but truly, she had already begun to use her psychic powers to delve deeply into the mind of the Ditto. Invading it's dreams and turning the sweet sight into a world of nightmares, the transformed Ditto creased and twitched in it's sleep, as if it were trying to fight something off. Looking incredibly distressed, Catherine felt a bit guilty, her hands gripping tightly to one another, as if she were praying that the Ditto was still okay. Exchanging a glance down to Atlas by her side, even the Simisage shuddered subtly. He could feel an odd, heavy atmosphere and he was simply glad not to be in the Ditto's position at that point. Swallowing, the aspiring nurse finally took a step forward. Marzena was a sweet Pokemon but she certainly held a scary side.
"That's enough, Marzena!" She called, head shaking from side to side lightly. Easing off her powers, the Munna floated back ever so slightly and with it, the reaction from Ditto calmed as well. "Phew.. It looked like it was really in pain but.." Trailing off, she was expecting the Ditto to wake back up after such an attack but perhaps it had managed to drift back into it's previous, gentle dream. "I wonder what we should do with it now? Maybe, just maybe, it'll come along with us." Pulling out an item she had been searching for earlier, her fingers wrapped around a lone Greatball. "I usually like to ask the Pokemon if they want to come with me but this one is still fast asleep!" Shrugging her shoulders, she took aim. "Ooh well. I'll give it a go anyway!" It was better than using another attack like the previous one. This way, both sides would win, sort of. The Ditto would dodge any further pain and Catherine would have yet another Pokemon to her group. Although, the Ditto didn't seem to have good odds which ever way it looked at it.
Pulling her arm back, Catherine readied her throw. Slowly drifting to one side, Marzena moved to ensure that she had a clearer field of aim and with a toss, the Great Ball spun through the air toward the Ditto. Now it was just the matter of waiting to see if she would be successful.

After Marzena's last attack the Wild Ditto soon woke up and loked aorund in shock before shaking it head quickly. It looked at Marzena unhappy and shot a peculiar ray at her which unlikely for the ditto didn't seem to do much. With this said Ctherine threw a blue and white ball wiht two red sprites at the ditto. The Ditto was confused and was soon hit by the ball. With it being hit the ball made the ditto into a red beam as it opened up before closing again. The ditto begin to shake the ball trying to gt out but with one shake......two shakes......... and then a final third the ball make a sound before it stopped singalling Catherine had just caught a ditto. As the Greatball containing the Ditto shook from left to right, the sudden sound that confirmed her captured almost made the young, aspiring nurse jump. Clapping her hands together gleefully, she skipped forward in order to collect the sitting ball. Lifting it up with her gentle fingertips, she dusted it off against the material on her dress before pocketing it in with the rest of her belongings. "Whew, that was fun!" Catherine exclaimed, adjusting the umbrella over her head, to keep out the heavy pounding of rain. Floating under the smidgen of shelter, Marzena hovered closely to Catherine, who gave the Pokemon a pat at a job well done. "You really did well, Marzena! You always seem to make the opponent so sleepy!" Often using Yawn on her own, Catherine was likely aware of the attack but hadn't once ordered it. Yet.
Looking around, Catherine beckoned Atlas to also follow and together, the three moved to an area which held more trees. It was by no means enough to fully protect them but it was better than being out in the middle of the tall grass. "Brr.." Catherine shuddered, "Sure could do with something warm!" As if on cue, another Pokemon slowly moved into her Pokemon's senses. Turning his head to look at Marzena, Atlas edged a little closer to Catherine, suggesting he would protect her if the Munna went out to investigate. With a subtle sigh, the Munna floated off once again. "H-Hey!! Where are you going? Marzena! It is raining!" Concerned for the health of her Pokemon in this weather, Catherine followed after her, only to see the flickering flames of a Ponyta up ahead. Rolling in the air, Marzena let loose another Yawn, in hopes of effecting the fiery steed.

Nearby to Catherine and her Pokémon, a Ponyta was hiding under trees to take shelter from the thunderstorm that was still going on. The Fire type was quite uncomfortable in this weather, for obvious reasons, and the occasional boom of thunder hadn’t done much to help its mood. Fortunately for the poor thing, however, it seemed that the weather was changing quite quickly. The storm clouds passed overhead, taking the thunder and rain with them. However, what replaced them was simply more cloud. Ponyta tentatively walked out of its shelter, wondering if the storm was truly over. After a couple of minutes of caution, it decided that it was safe to go outside now. It basked in the lack-of-sun and lay down happily, finally able to have a nice, long rest. Nothing was going to come between Ponyta and its downtime. Nothing except, perhaps, a rude little Munna with nothing better to do than upsetting fire horses. And what do you know, that was exactly what Ponyta happened upon next. Marzena interrupted a Ponyta (Level 19) as it was relaxing! Marzena came hovering into the immediate area, much to the equine’s displeasure. Ponyta lifted its head to see this Psychic type and jolted to its feet, fight or flight response triggered. As much as it wanted to get out of there, though, it decided it had had enough of being scared and was going to push this intruder out instead. It neighed in defiance of its opponent and ran toward Marzena, flames burning brightly. Ponyta breathed out powerful embers which quickly surrounded it and charged headfirst into Marzena. As the two parted once more, it was clear that the Flame Wheel attack had left a permanent mark, Marzena’s left side now scarred with a significant burn. Even worse, the Fire type Ponyta didn’t suffer any ill results from her Synchronise ability. The Munna wasn’t going to let this be the end of it, though, and yawned back at Ponyta. Though it didn’t seem like much of an attack, it would probably prove to be the deciding move. Ponyta yawned in response, remembering how much it had wanted to take a nap and recuperate. Though now wasn’t the time, of course. Ponyta teetered a little as drowsiness began to take ahold. Wild Battle

Gripping onto the handle of her umbrella, Catherine splashed across the route and the many forming puddles across the dirt path. "S-SLOW DOWN, MARZENAAA!" She called out, hoping that her floating Munna would begin to slow down. Upon seeing the Ponyta and posing it as some sort of threat, the pink Pokemon sporting a flower motif deciding it was best to battle it. Only, the fiery horse was merely sheltering from the rain and would likely have avoided Catherine if her Pokemon hadn't so rudely floated up to it. But the time the aspiring nurse had caught up, her eyes focused on the sight of the two staring one another down. Or rather, Marzena hardly had her eyes open but she was facing the general direction. Not only that but the heavy rain around her began to slow to a stop. Leaning the umbrella back, Catherine held her spare hand forward, noticing that there was no longer a spot of rain.
The change in weather made things a little easier in her mind but if they had approached the Ponyta a little earlier, it might have been enough to distract the Pokemon from using it's full strength. Which the Pokemon had decided to do. Firing off a burst of flames, they scorched the Munna's body and was even powerful enough to leave an annoying burn. A bit shaken, Marzena managed to pull herself together, letting loose another yawn with also affected the opposing Ponyta. A mirror of what happened earlier, the eyes of the Ponyta began to lower, likely ready to fall into a deep sleep. Taking control, the Munna floated back, awaiting her opponent to fully fall into slumber, where she could then use a Dream Eater attack.
OOC: Using Dream Eater, please.

[So it seems I missed the burn damage out last time. Didn’t cover myself in glory at all that week. I’ll continue with the HP I gave last time rather than randomly adjust them (seems fairer), just noting that here. Feel free to pick me up on this if there’s a better or more “standard” approach to this kind of thing, Morri.]The Ponyta was looking drowsier by the second, and it would clearly not be long before it was snoozing quietly. It seemed rather ironic that it was going to be resting against its will after having its break interrupted earlier. Ponyta started swaying back and forth, but it wasn’t going to let the building fatigue stop it from at least getting one attack in. After all, perhaps this would be the attack that sealed the battle. Then it could sleep happily. It walked slowly toward Marzena, stumbling a couple of times but managing to outpace the Munna all the same. Marzena prepared herself for her own move, watching and waiting for the moment to strike. This preparation was interrupted ever so slightly by a powerful hoof slamming down on the Psychic’s noggin and pinning her to the floor. Ponyta twisted its foot back and forth, increasing the pain just a tad. It wasn’t going to let anyone get away lightly with making it fight, that was for sure. The Stomping continued for a few seconds. That was all it took for Ponyta’s tiredness to overtake it. It crashed down onto the floor beside it, starting to snore softly as it slept. Marzena gently rose up off the ground again, shaking dirt off of her body and sighing in relief. That Stomp had left a reasonable dent, but she didn’t seem remotely put off by it. Now that the opponent was asleep, she could finally take action. She hummed softly, closing her eyes to increase her focus. Within moments, Ponyta started to whimper in its sleep, the Dream Eater taking full effect. Marzena’s own body began to recover noticeably, with the bumps and bruises disappearing from her skin. Ponyta carried on crying, and one could only wonder what was happening in the usually-timid horse’s mind at that point. After a little while, it calmed down once again, still perfectly asleep despite all of the interruptions from Marzena. Wild Battle

Marzena could feel the burning sensation spread across her body and whilst she was a Pokemon that didn't often show any sign of emotion, she could feel the pressure. Most confident in her ability to force others to sleep, the Munna was somewhat silently stunned with just how quickly the Ponyta woke back up. The flaming steed was a proud one and it wasn't going to let the Munna walk all over it, or atleast, feast on its dreams like she had tried to do. Floating on the spot with a slight quiver, Catherine could see that her Pokemon was suffering and could think of only one way to end this. Her Munna had been oddly rebellious, rushing off to battle like that. Perhaps there was a specific reason to it but if there was a way to end all of this suffering there and then, it was worth a shot.
Readying an expensive Ultra Ball in the palm of her small hand, the aspiring nurse was going to intervene. There was a chance that her plan would still fail and if it did, she would have to pull her friend out of danger by force and either flee, or ask for the help of someone else. Atlas stood by her side, the sight of flames making the Simisage feel more than a bit apprehensive but he would jump in to save Marzena if it was necessary. Gulping quietly, Catherine pulled back her arm and threw the Ultra Ball toward the wild Ponyta with all her might.

The Ponyta was completely asleep; devoid of any willpower to keep going. It was weakened, and the yawn attack had put it under a comatose that would be difficult for it to come out of right away. Falling down into a trance, Ponyta had to take a rest, it would be a quick one, it promised itself. This gave Catherine the perfect chance to make her move, whatever it may be.
Slumbering, an unexpected Ponyta did not expect to get an Ultra Ball thrown at it. This special ball was perfect for catching strong Pokemon; the horse had no chance, especially in the deep slumber it was facing. The ball hurled towards it and knocked it on the head, encapsulating it with a shimmering light. The ball fell to the ground and wiggled, what could happen? Would Catherine catch the beautiful and tough fire horse? It seemed so. The ball stopped moving and a ding went off. Catherine's Pokedex adjusted accordingly and Marzena smiled delightfully. As the Ultra Ball tinged closed, Catherine took this moment as an opportunity. For some reason, her Munna had taken it upon herself to go and seek out opponents but the Pokemon's odd behaviour had worried the aspiring nurse, somewhat. Jumping forward, the young girl wrapped her arms around the floating pink Pokemon, embracing the creature with a warm hug. "Good work, Marzena!.. You can relax now. The Ponyta has gone." Usually emotionless and taking a back seat in routes, merely supervising her trainer, the Munna had certainly acted out of character. A soft yawn escaping the Pokemon's mouth, Catherine gripped her a bit tighter before finally releasing the Pokemon from her grasp. "There we go. Now, we can search for battles together, instead of running off ahead!" Tilting her head and smiling innocently, the Munna didn't respond, as usual, but she didn't float off either.
Instead, Catherine and her Pokemon ventured across the route, more peacefully than before. Catherine was beginning to get used to all this battling business, even though she had been fairly against it when she very first started her journey. Now, she aimed to strengthen up her friends and together, continue to gain knowledge and experience which would lead her towards her goal. Or atleast, one of them. As the group continued to move, a rustling bush caught the attention of Catherine. Jumping in front of the female to protect her, Atlas was ever alert but amazingly, Catherine was also on the ball. A Pokeball already in hand, she threw it before even seeing their opponent. "Come on out, Juris! Protect us with a Dazzling Gleam!" As the ball burst open to reveal a beautiful Sylveon, the male Pokemon glanced his eyes around for his opponent, noticing a lone Rattata step up. Preparing to attack twice if necessary, Juris took aim.
