There had been so much bustle and disturbance along the route there was no doubt it could only be caused by one thing: a trainer. It wasn't an uncommon thing by any means but the ever alert rodent had been keeping an eye on this one as she approached. Buoyantly the aspiring nurse trekked through the route, walking and battling wherever the day's encounters seemed to take her. It became apparent she wasn't one that was just swiftly passing through on some business between human settlements and this worried the rattata. Quietly it slunk through the terrain at a distance and made for the border of its home that worried it so. Sure enough, though, after the briefest of breaks dispatching one of the fiery horses, the trainer continued making her way closer to the nest. This couldn't stand! Getting fired up itself, the rattata bristled its fur and began running through the thick vegetation for the woman. Its purple form was a tiny blur as it shot out of the bush in a grand jump. Darting as fast as its little legs could take it the rattata was making good time to close the open distance between them. Despite its speed Catherine expertly nabbed one of her pokéballs and tossed it out to reveal a gleaming Sylveon. But the rattata wouldn't be deterred. Juris stepped from his ball ready for battle, already beginning to charge up the glow for his attack, but the swift purple rat zipped in with a darkened hue enveloping its claws. In a flash the rattata had run up and managed, at best, a sloppy brush against the Sylveon's fur. Barely feeling the damage Juris now had the rattata in prime position for a spectacularly dazzling attack. In a blinding flash the immediate area was engulfed in light. The poor wild rattata didn't even know what hit it. One minute it was full of energy and the next it was motionless on the ground, dazed and a single back leg twitching.  Juris obliterated his opponent and grew to Lv 19! His happiness is already max  Marzena learned from the sidelines with EXP Share and grew to Lv 24! |

As Juris emerged from his Pokeball, the elegant Sylveon was welcomed with a lightning fast strike from the wild Rattata. Barely grazing his frame, the Sylveon sniffed at the air with disinterest, returning the favour with an attack of his own. The Dazzling Gleam blinded not only the Rattata but even Catherine and her other Pokemon were forced to turn away, in order to shield their eyes. Soon, the beam dispersed, leading the youngster to cautiously raise her head, surprised to see the wild Rattata now belly up, fainted with twitching feet. Flicking his head to one side, the silent Sylveon turned to Catherine, awaiting her usual outburst of excitement he had come to expect. "Juris!" Her childish tone of voice chirped out, as if one cue. Allowing Marzena to float out of her grasp, the nurse skipped forward, kneeling down slightly in order to give the Sylveon a loving pat to the head. "You did super, Juris! Your attack was so pretty and bright!" Turning his head as if to say 'of course it was', Catherine brought back her hand and stood back to her feet.
"So. What should we do now?" She questioned. She had been back to Goldenrod a couple of times at this point but she had seen mostly everything she needed to, in this particular route atleast. Maybe it was time to move on. Seeing her uncertain expression, Atlas paused by her side before trying to grab her attention. He had attempted fishing once or twice but was interrupted each time. If they were going to return to the city or move on, he wanted atleast a bit more peace, first. Smiling as his gestures, Catherine understood her Pokemon well, particularly Atlas. "Okay. A bit more fishing and then we explore Goldenrod to it's fullest!" Pumping her hand into the air cheerfully, the group of Catherine, Atlas, Marzena and Juris all walked toward the ocean. Despite the cold chill that had since settled around them.
Setting up the Old Rod, Atlas took his spot as fisherman whilst Catherine found a patch where she could sit to one side. Her arms wrapped around Marzena to keep the pink Pokemon warm and safe, it seemed to be up to Juris to act as the guardian, this time. Keeping a keen eye on the lure, the Sylveon was ready to strike at whatever Pokemon Atlas hooked with a Swift attack.

The lapping water ebbed a soft crash against itself in lolls, making for quite the serene soundtrack. The slightest breeze brought the fresh salty air onto the shore with the distant bustling sounds of the city nearby buzzing in the background. Any disturbance beneath the deep blue veil would be hard to spot, unless such a thing was to catch itself on the lure securely tied to the rod held by the Pansage. Atlas would feel a snag of the line, immediately pulling against the new force trying to break away caused the water fairing creature to fling from the water: a Corphish. Cued and ready, Juris was on the ball with a Swift attack flying through the air toward the airborne crustacean. The surprised water pokémon gurgled its displeasure at this turn of events, gravity doing its job to land the wild corphish back into the water. The lobster remained at the surface, a hard glare at the prissy mammal that had just fired at it. Opening its mouth it sent forth a wash of bubbles shooting for the Sylveon and exploding in his face. It was more of an annoyance than anything. With the distraction the corphish managed to free itself from the fishing line so it could combat proper. Fishing Encounter

As the line which had been tossed into the surface of the water began to twitch, Atlas pulled back at the fishing rod, forcing whatever was hanging on the other end to come to the surface. Emerging with a mighty splash was a crustacean known as a Corphish, it's clacking pincers sending a shiver of worry down the spine of Catherine. But as Atlas cut the line to set up the rod for the next potential capture, Juris was quick to jump into battle. Using a Swift attack whilst Catherine sat in wait, arms gripping around the smooth body of the Munna, the Sylveon was so ready that his attack struck before the poor wild Pokemon had even touched solid land. The quick, smooth attack chipping away as it's shell, the likely angry Corphish was very quick to retaliate, attacking Juris back with a number of popping bubbles.
Wincing his eyes shut and pawing at his snout, the prim Sylveon was not keen with getting splashed with cold water or bubbles, his body shuddering at the impact. Seeing her Pokemon act in such a way brought the young girl to her feet, her hand moving about amongst her belongings. "You don't have to fight.. If you don't want to!" She chirped up, holding a Ultra Ball in her palm. Pulling back her arm, the young girl tossed it forward with a swing, hoping that the battle would end with a successful capture.

Corphish's stern visage held a sparkle of satisfaction when the Sylveon displayed its discomfort with the bubble attack. Perhaps it would have the upper hand in this round while its opponent balked at the splash of water! Sadly, though, the wild crustacean would have to wait to find out; if it was to find out at all. Acting fast, Catherine rushed to her feet and pulled out a reliable pokéball. But not the cheap run-of-the-mill kind. No no. This, was an Ultra Ball. The yellow and black striped device spun through the air and bopped the sea dwelling wild pokémon on the side of its head.  One Shake...The Corphish disappeared with a start into the ball's light, fighting hard against the container. Two Shakes...The capture device lobbed and rolled in the shallow waters, floating with the waves which pushed it closer to shore. It still writhed back and forth as the water pokémon desperately thrashed inside. Three Shakes..!It was the final moments. The ball had bumped the sandy beach and by this point was barely moving. *CLICK*SUCCESS! Congratulations! The Wild Corphish was captured! With a toss of her arm, Catherine attempted to interrupt the battle at hand by trying to capture the wild Corphish. Not only did she want to meet and make as many potential friends as she could, she also wanted to make her current team stronger without both sides becoming too hurt. It was difficult to find the perfect balance but for now, she was happy with using some kind of Pokeball to try and capture more and more. Not that she was the type to hog all these captured Pokemon to herself. She was a friendly girl and would be more than willing to part with a few as long as the recipient was just as kind a soul as she was. Not that Catherine was the best judge of character in the first place. Either way, the ball she had thrown wobbled from side to side and with it, successfully clicked shut. Whilst she made a not-so-subtle cheer and moved forward to collect the ball, Atlas was less fussed with the capturing aspect and just wanted to fish. Flicking in the line once again, he awaited another catch, Juris the Sylveon moving to one side ready to Swift attack whatever would appear.
OOC: Requesting a Staryu and Sylveon using Swift again. Sorry for short length.
Also just a note to say that Fishing Level needs to be updated after a catch. (I think Uncommon raises by 1 but I'll check later so no worries for now.)

Staryu had been spinning around the area for quite some time, just enjoying the cool temperatures near Goldenrod felt exquisite to say the least. The water was so serene and clear that Staryu’s light flickered so beautifully in the salty waters. As Staryu flashed it’s light on and off within the deep water, it noticed a strange thing floating within the water. Curiously, Staryu swam up next to the lure and began prodding it with its light to get a better look. However, Staryu had not been careful enough. The lure snagged underneath the crust of Staryu’s rock-like mantle that edged around the red gem on the center of Staryu’s body.
The lure reeled fast towards the surface and Staryu panicked; what was going on?! Its rock-like body pierced through the top of the water and Staryu spun free of the lure. Holding the fishing pole was a nice looking human; at least thought this would be a nice human, having not met many underwater it was quite a mystery. Staryu, being a very quick little water Pokemon, spit out a bubble beam attack, at what Staryu assumed to be the human’s companion. The pink land Pokemon shot out a swift attack and of course Staryu knew that one can’t evade that attack, because Staryu also knew that same move! Catherine's eyes followed the wild, aquatic Pokemon which had suddenly burst forth from the surface of the ocean. Tugged up with the fishing line, the Staryu was clear for all to see as it's pointed body flew through the air. Standing on all fours, Juris the Sylveon was primed and ready to attack, his ears twitching the moment the water first rippled. Stepping forward, his pink fur ruffled as he summoned an array of glittering stars which soon struck the body of the wild Staryu. It was then that the water type retaliated with a series of popping bubbles, completely soaking the body of the poor Sylveon. As the water ran across his fur and dripped from the tips of his ears, Juris grunted in displeasure, shaking rapidly in attempt to dry and fluff up his fur. Raising an arm to guard herself from the rogue droplets which shot in her direction, Catherine was already on the ball with how to handle the situation. Quite literally. Pulling out another Ultra Ball, she took aim and threw it toward the wild Staryu. She wouldn't be turning down another party member, either for her or someone else out there!

Catherine was getting pretty good at throwing things at wild pokémon, the ball hurling through the air to lob the staryu on one of its arms as it lightly spun in the water. The wild pokémon vanished in a flash of light, leaving the buoyant device to surf the waves as it attempted to keep its contents. One Shake...The red light remained bright as the ball jostled around. It was hard to tell if its movements were from the Staryu's thrashing to escape or if it was just the gentle waves pushing it to shore. Two Shakes...The ultra ball started to stay more stable, a geometrically stable device strolling through the water. Three Shakes..!It was the final moments. The ball had bumped the sandy beach and... *CLICK*SUCCESS!Congratulations! The Wild Staryu was captured! Catherine's (or Atlas') fishing Lv. gets +1! It didn't take long for the Ultra Ball to click shut and with it, the aspiring nurse jumped to her feet. Approaching Juris, who had stepped forward to pick up the captured Pokemon with his wispy ribbons, the young girl accepted it from him with a smile. "Phew.. Those last two battle sure were close! I wasn't sure if either of them would be captured but it seems they wanna come along with us!" As innocent, or naive, as ever, she was incredibly pleased with her catches. But as Atlas appeared to ready his rod for another cast, he felt a hand being placed on his shoulder. "Let's leave it at that, Atlas!" Catherine's voice spoke out to the grass monkey, "I think everyone is pretty tired. Plus.. It's getting really cold." With a shudder of her own, Catherine pulled her hand away and with it, the Simisage stood to his feet. Noticing a sneaky yawn escape Juris' mouth, as well as the sun beginning to set across the ocean, it really painted a picture for him for just how long the group had remained in this route for.
"I think we should hit the city!" Her high pitched tone shrieked with sudden excitement. "I mean, in the morning, obviously. I bet most cute shops are beginning to shut by now." Swaying from side to side with pouted lips, she was a little upset that she couldn't continue her adventure one place after the next, immediately. "Instead, let's go back to the Pokemon Centre, heal up and have a bite to eat and have a nice sleepy, comfy time! Then we can wake up nice and early to carry on. Doesn't that sound like the best plan?!" Spinning on the spot with her arms open, the youngster took a skip forward with her Munna, Simisage and Sylveon following behind her. "Don't get me wrong, this route is SUPER pretty. I mean, just look at that sunset! ..But it really is time to delve into this city. Heehee, I wonder if we'll meet anyone we know!" Not that she had an awful lot of people on a friendlist of any kind but still, it was a possibility to her. "Let's get ready to go, go go~" Clapping a simple rhythm with her hands as she walked, the group marched back to the Pokemon Centre to rest for the night, where their adventure would continue in the morning.
