Kurt knew he was in a bad situation as Dragon Rage could bypass Shuckle's impressive defense and cause a set amount of damage no matter what he tried. All he could do was make a brave stand against a foe that easily overpowered him however he could still run his mouth off to Rhoan and try to anger her enough that she would give up on her mission and go home. " You are just as heartless as all the other Rockets who terrorize these Slowpoke. You may act tough but if you were any kind of respectable human being at all you would not use such a dirty trick to bypass my Pokemon's defense. You will get yours one day. I will make sure you pay for everything you have done today." Before he could give his Pokemon an order the Dragon Rage left Tyrant's mouth and he knew it was over. " You sniveling coward, I hope you are proud of what you have accomplished today. I can no longer protect the Slowpoke here but head my warning. When the time comes that someone higher on the food chain than you shows you no mercy I want you to look back on this day and remember you had it coming. Karma shall get you sooner or later and when it does I will be there to watch you suffer for your choices." He then ran off to try and heal his defeated Shuckle leaving Rhoan by herself or so she thought until a lonely Slowpoke made it's way towards her. The dumb water type was smart enough to know what she was after and it was not going to delay the inevitable. Slowpoke stood half slunched over with it's mouth wide open looking at her with a clueless expression. Despite knowing she was her for it's tail the dumb Pokemon made no attempt to run but rather seemed curious as to why people did such a cruel thing to it's species. After a moment passed and nothing particularity exciting happened it was up to Rhoan to get things started. Pokemon Battle

The Red Tiger gets her own hands dirty.
But! For simplicity's sake.
Reaver uses Cut
| | "Bitter words from a defeated man. I hope someone higher than the food chain watches me. Sees me. Maybe i'll get a challenge and have something to strive for. For now, i'll resort to my dirty tricks as you put it in order to win. A battle is a battle, and a win is a win. I won't lose any sleep, will you, Tyrana?" Rhoan cast a side glance over at the Charmeleon. She seemed to be having a good time being able to let loose with the dragon flame. With a snort and a bit of smoke wafting from a nostril, Tyrana narrowed her eyes and raised an eye ridge. No sleep would be lost. In fact, nothing made Tyrana feel more alive than when she was on the prowl. Even if it was a Pokemon such as this.
With out further hindrance, Kurt was obliterated and left to shamble back out. Licking his wounds, no doubt. Tyrana had made quick work out of the Shuckle. Dirty tricks were knocking the old man down and hurting his back, suspending the battle. Thankfully it wouldn't be an option, but nonetheless. "Good, Tyrana. Return. I'll call if I need you." Rhoan went to return the dragon, which dutifully nodded before stretching. At least she got a little bit of a workout and a few shenanigan moments. But now the real mission was at hand.
The Slowpoke of this pitiful well were deeper in, and they sold for a pretty penny. Having a few more bucks in the coffer meant that Rhoan wouldn't have as much issue later on when it came down to purchasing Pokemon or moving product. Hell, sometimes extra money was good for shutting people up if needed. Nobody ever complained about having extra money. Taking a quick glance of the perimeter, Rhoan sent Reaver off to do a bit of scouting, just in case she didn't see any other Rockets for a reason. Once she decided the perimeter was secure, Rhoan entered the wide expanse which held a dopey Slowpoke watching her with wide eyes.
"Heh. Dumb oaf. Doesn't even run. Reaver, let's get this over with." Digging into a pocket, Rhoan pulled out an army knife and clicked it out of it's sheath. Approaching the Slowpoke, she turned and sat on it backwards, keeping her body weight on her legs while she held the tail between her thighs and hands. Knife poised, Reaver sat next to her, ready to give the extra umph. "Heh, wonder how many people really worried about getting their hands dirty?" She snickered, shrugging. "The Red Tiger wrestles with anything." She grunted before beginning to cut the tail as best she could. Reaver sat next to her, and as soon as the knife neared the bone, Reaver added in her two cents with a Cut attack of her own.
"Ares, come out. You have my extra bag in your saddles. Gotta put these clothes up when this is over." She grunted, accent thick and addled. She had on a pair of jogging shorts and a tank top under her shirt, so as soon as she dropped trow and stuffed the pants away she wouldn't have any issue posing as a jogger in the night. But first, this Slowpoke.

With the bitter old man behind them, Rhoan now only have one task to do, which was to cut off the Slowpoke's tail. Working together with her Pokemon, Even though the Slowpoke didn't look intimidating, the human and her trusty bug were giving their work and effort to slice this delicacy out. Working on the Slowpoke's tail, it took both Reaver and Rhoan's effort to slice and to cut off this pink sleeper's tail. The Slowpoke's surprisingly fat and thick tail got its top part sliced open. However, just before the layer that would cause blood to come out, The Slowpoke (finally) felt the sensation, and swung its tail. Ir barely hit them thankfully, because Reaver, although a small bug, pushed the human out of the way. Then, the Slowpoke yawned loudly (and a bit obnoxiously), sending a bubble as big as its body toward the two. The big bubble spoke nothing but an impending slumber. The brave and protective bug lunged forward, tackling the bubble and popped it, and the exploded liquid made the Reaver really sleepy. She could hit the hay soon. The Slowpoke returned to looking at Rhoan stupidly, as if it wasn't phased by its tail being cut off by partly already.
Slowpoke- Level 15 44/56Status: None Used Yawn Rhoan's Reaver- Level 23 63/63Status: Sleeping in next turn Used Cut! OOC: I'm not sure if this is the part that I say you got the tail, or you have to defeat it first?

Hey yeah, it's the part where I get the tail and then you have to do something about the Slowpoke. Once the player uses Cut, it's assumed that they're aiming for the tail. You can always look back on Morrigan's old thread in the Rocket Archives too, as it's gone a little bit different here already. I'll just assume that we got the tail.
| | The Slowpoke start to wriggle and squirm, now feeling the effects of the knife on it's tail. Of course it's own pain recognition would be as slow as it's mind too. "Heh, not at smart one, are you?" She growled between clenched teeth. Her knife continued to plunge into the tail before it eventually slapped her away. Reaver had taken the brunt of that, showing just exactly how powerful she was despite being so small. Thankfully, Rhoan was able to pull the tail with her, however. The sloppy tail dripped blood before Rhoan shoved it into a bag and tossed it off to the side with a sickening splat. Slowpoke had yawned, which meant Reaver would be sleeping soon if Rhoan didn't finish the battle.
"I don't want to stay here long. Reaver, uh, step aside." Realizing her Pokemon was super small and wouldn't need to step aside, Rhoan chuckled to herself and grabbed a ball from her leg pouch. "Heh, I crack myself up. This 'poke'll bring me a penny from the Market at least. If anything, i'll use it against that old man again. Hah!" The pokeball in her hand flashed in the light, showing off an impressive blue and red tent as it was chucked towards the Slowpoke. Rhoan didn't want to stay here too long, so with Reaver falling asleep, it was either switch her out or keep on trucking. Catching the 'mon still had it's uses. And hey, and extra player in her game, right?
"Ares, come out." The pokeball of the hulking mass wiggled momentarily before Ares appeared from his Pokeball. Although he had already previously battled, he was looking fine for the getaway, or at least for the shenanigans needed. "Let's pack you up and get ready. This ends now, or at least in a few minutes." Stooping down to pick up the tail, she placed it in a saddle bag and turned to check on the battle. //Greatball Updated, -1 |

As Rhoan chucked the Greatball forward, it soared through the air on with a swift curve and found itself dabbing against the target's body. Absorbing it in a red light, the Pokemon was covered from head to toe as it was digitised and scooped into the centre of the spherical capture device. Whether or not the pain had set in from its tail being cut off was up for debate but given how slow Slowpoke were to react meant it was likely it wasn't even aware of a battle unfolding. Falling to the floor with a plonk, the capture was now under way. Rocking back and forth, it was processing the newly acquired Pokemon. With any luck she could be done with this mission and move onto further exploits in the name of Team Rocket. Once... Twice...
*BURST*Oh no! The Slowpoke broke free! It was so close! Despite the overwhelming frustration of it breaking out, the silence itself was oddly met with a very slow golf clap of sorts. It appears off in the dimness in the well, there was another party which had been acting as witness to Rhoan's deeds. Stepping forward, their footsteps echoing through the cave, their claps also grew louder as they finally drew closer, coming into visibility. Bearing a very fancy looking Rocket uniform, handsome face and a suave green haircut sitting under a black cap, the man could only be a member of Team Rocket. A higher up at that. The arrogant, cocky way he carried himself was sure to right any doubts there may have been over his rank. Finishing his clap, he leaned alongside a rocky stalagmite and chuckled once to himself. Getting a proper look, it was hard to ignore the bloodied adornments which were splattered over his uniform. " Close but no cigar. Not a bad idea though. Capture the Slowpoke and once it's tail grows back, oh which it will, you just simply cut it off again to harvest more tails. That kinda thinkin' sets you apart from the usual knuckle dragging grunts I see. Not bad, Red." Giving her a sly wink, he stood back up properly and walked over, his arms folded, a hand on his chin. " Y'know, a femme fatale like you is the sorta thing a big shot executive like me, Proton, looks out for. I'm all about that ambition, power, initiative. Seems like you're made of the stuff." A cocky grin over his face, he looked back over to the Slowpoke that Rhoan had attempted to capture and then back over from when he came. " I've been doin' some tail keeping myself." Pulling a brutal looking butcher's knife from his utility belt, he placed it back away as he wiped off some of the grime which had accumulated. " Main thing is, you've proven your worth as a Rocket. It's kinda like a rite of passage these days. You get hooked up with us, before long you're knee deep in Slowpoke, playin' the butcher." Walking off to her side, he seemed to over the finer points of tail laundering. " Not that it's a bad thing, Red. Y'see, these tails are BIG business. They fetch for a pretty coin on the black market and they're pretty finger lickin' good. Ever had a Rage Candy Bar? Hahaha, let's just say they're a primary ingredient." Having walked around her and now standing behind, he leaned in a little too close for comfort and commented in a hushed tone compared to how he was speaking previously. " A lot of the pretenders can't stomach it. You can usually tell the ones which ain't made out for this lifestyle. You've demonstrated you're as bad as the rest of us though. Which is good, as after all, I don't want no sniffly little bitches trying to get in cahoots with us, y'hear?" An odd mixture of flirting and threats, beyond that it was clear Proton got to where he was because he exemplified what made a model Rocket mobster. Moving aside, he cocked his head to the side and wondered what she would do next. " So toots, you gonna try again or what?" Sadly at this point, the yawn had kicked in and had placed Reaver to sleep. " Ahhhhh... What a bother. Heh, why not use this fine bull here to demonstrate Team Rocket's strength?" Eyeing up Ares, it seemed he wasn't aversive to the idea of a one sided, brutal assault. Having moved off to the shadows he had emerged from, he came back with a huge sack of what could only be surmised as full of tails due to the leak dripping at the bottom of the bag. Hoisting it over his shoulder, he decided to watch the rest. " Before I cash my cheque with all these tails, I suppose I could kill some time watchin' you handle this." As they talked, it seemed the freed Slowpoke almost had a realisation upon it. As it did, its body seemed to be shrouded in a curse like aura as it opened its mouth. Nothing escaped it though. It was perhaps still catching up with what had happened. Wild Battle

Hot damn, Rhoan hasn't come across anyone she feels as 'competent' but yeah, gives her something to look forward to joining Kappa
| | Rhoan watched with anticipation as the ball began to shake. Already sealing the deal and figuring that the shenanigans in this well were done, the utter annoyance of having the ball burst open, illuminating the well for a moment, was the worst. Reaver squeaked, realizing there was an onlooker with the flash, but not before the slow claps echoed through the cave, grabbing Rhoan's attention. The dopey Pokemon wasn't going anywhere, so turning away again wouldn't be an issue.
Snorting angrily, Ares glared at the blood covered intruder, ready to help defend if need be. However, something told the bull that this man was on his trainer's side, probably smelling the Slowpoke blood and tails he had with him. Either way, Rhoan watched as Proton approached. The sleek, black Rocket uniform helped conceal him in the shadows, so no wonder she didn't see him. Her frown at the sarcastic (what she assumed, at least) clap pulled the scar tissue on her face, making her grimace in the darkness. However, Proton began to speak and Rhoan concluded that things weren't necessarily all that they seemed.
It was true. Catching the Slowpoke meant more tails, more profit, and if anything, she could just sell the thing off as mentioned. Glad someone had picked up on her plan, she allowed herself a small smirk as the Rocket executive began to prowl around. Although she detested nicknames, the mobsteresque quality of Proton helped keep people in line. Making women feel uncomfortable with flirting, and using brute strength and rank to outmuscle the men. Thankfully Rhoan didn't have much of a love life, so Proton's flirtatious words didn't have much effect. (Well, kinda.)
"Nice Victorinox. 6 inches. Semi-stiff, used for boning meat." Rhoan remarked, catching a glimpse of his butcher's knife. "Had one back in Oblivia. It's a good brand." Proton wiped off some of the grime, which was good, but he'd have to clean the knife later to keep the sharp edge untainted, but Rhoan was sure he knew that. She had figured she'd meet executives and higher ups in a board room, or in a meeting. This Bass Ackward Region seemed to promise the opposite of what Rhoan wanted, and yet here she was, bloodied and standing in front of one of the executives of Team Rocket. Not a bad place to be in for the Red Tiger, considering she thrived when put in situations where she could use her hands instead of paperwork.
"Good to hear i'm on the naughty list." She chided, glancing back over at the Slowpoke. It's yawn had finally effected Reaver, so the little bug was knocked plum out asleep. Pity, she was incredibly useful. Rhoan had the tail at least, so no worries about using the Cutting power of the Joltik anymore, at least. Keeping her attention on the battle for the past few seconds, Rhoan hadn't noticed that Proton had slunk around continuously until he was right behind her.
Rhoan's back muscles tightened as she had to control her reaction. She wasn't scared, no. Far from it. Adrenaline pumped through her body as she was transported back to Oblivia, stalking Pokemon and catching them without the help of other creatures. Pesky rangers slinking around, trying to catch her trail. Usually if someone walked up behind you, it wasn't good news. However, she was able to control it and stand still as Proton chided within her personal space. Intimidation factor, indeed. No wonder he was one of the top folk within the Rockets. Not being afraid to get his hands dirty definitely helped. She could smell the blood on his clothes.
After he finished speaking, Rhoan kept silent instead of retorting. Not that she was against the executive at all. She wanted to avoid coming off as too eager to join, too eager to climb the ranks, too eager to show what she could do. Instead, Rhoan wanted her actions to speak louder than some of her words. Proton backed off and commented about the battle, but Rhoan had been keeping tabs. Reaver was asleep and with Proton here now, she needed to end this quickly as planned. "Yeah, i'll give ya a show of strength." She mused, returning the Joltik.
Ares expected to be brought to plate, but Rhoan's quick hand movement towards another pokeball made the Pokemon stop and stay where it was. "Tyrana, let's finish this up quickly. We have an audience, after all." The pokeball bounced on the ground once before exploding into the fiery Charmeleon. The fire on the Pokemon's tail illuminated the vicinity so Rhoan could get a good look at Proton despite the darkness surrounding them. He looked as aggressive as he sounded. Good sparring partner, probably.
"Tyrana, you're up. Dragon Rage. This morsel is gonna get in a Pokeball whether it comes quietly or I have to shove it in there." The Charmeleon glanced over her shoulder to look at Proton, almost as if sizing the man up. Snorting a waft of smoke, the dragon turned her sights back on the Slowpoke ahead of her. Nodding, Tyrana took a deep breath and prepared the onslaught. She had bad luck with the Yawn, as well as the Pokeball. With Proton watching, she wante dno more bad luck for sure. |

Proton was rather pleased to see that Rhoan knew not only the brand of knife he had but to also know how to handle it's cleaning properly as well. What impressed him the most however was her willingness to finish the job she had started without showing a hint of mercy. " I look forward to seeing what that Dragon Rage can do. THis should be entertaining to watch." He said as Tyrana stepped forward waiting for the right moment to strike. The switch out did mean the poor SLowpoke would get a free hit but from how dumb it looked it did not seem to be too much of a threat or so it seemed anyway. However the water type was ready to make a stand against the CHarmeleon and before she could do anything Slowpoke fired a small glob of water at her face. Infuriated Tyrana snorted at the young water type as she readied herself to get revenge. As she wiped the water from her face Proton thought it was rather amusing that Slowpoke had not used COnfusion which might have given it a tiny chance to overcome the horrible odds it faced. " Oh you silly Pokemon. If you thought a weak Water Gun would save you then you deserve everything you are about to get. Your species is only worth keeping alive for your tails but beyond that you are worthless as a Pokemon." As Proton waited for the next round to start Tyrana's Dragon Rage did not take long to turn the battle into a one sided slaughter fest. The bright blue flame that shot from her mouth engulfed the SLowpoke causing major damage. She had not won the battle yet however as Slowpoke had managed to hang on by a thread. " So you are a bit tougher than you look. If anything all you are doing is making yourself go through more pain but if that is what you want then I will not stop you. I enjoy watching stupid Pokemon suffer. I think you will find out soon enough that your resistance means nothing more than prolonged suffering." Slowpoke remained defiant however as it fired another Water Gun into Tyrana's face that left the fire type even angrier than she was before. The attacks did not cause he too much discomfort however and she was quick to recover from it's effects. Slowpoke on the other hand could tell things were not going very well at all as it looked into her face. It could barely bring itself to stand yet alone fight for much longer. " Oh this has been quite the show. That Slowpoke is on it's last legs so what will you do now. Finish it off or capture it to make it your tail growing slave? Either way it will learn what happens when you are unfortunate enough to become a target of our glorious team." He said as he waited to see what Rhoan would do next. Pokemon Battle

Using 1x Pokeball
Updated!
| | Tyrana knew how to pull off her job, and she did it well. All things considered, even with the Great Ball failing, it was still an interesting situation. While she had wanted this situation to train up another Pokemon instead of Tyrana, sometimes you had to sacrifice and deviate from the plan in order to adapt to the situation. Considering this, it was going well. She had to sacrifice the training in order to impress the uppers. The better foot she was on, the better she'd be off in the ranks with the other Rockets. Her moments in this dark dank cave were almost done, but she'd finally moved past the chill on her spine now that Proton was here. Getting used to his presence, she felt a bit more at ease and back in the flow of things. Would she be assigned to Proton if he was impressed enough? Would she be briefed on what was going to happen next? Unaware of how the structure worked, she could only wait and see. Assignments always came in strange, vague ways, so perhaps things would continue that way.
"Direct hit." Rhoan murmured, watching the bright blue Dragon Fire illuminate the dark, dank cave. Slowpoke couldn't help but falter. Thankfully Tyrana was strong enough to withstand the Water Guns without so much as a flinch. Everything was chalking up well. First impressions were everything. "Alright, Tyrana, step aside." Rifling through her bag once more, she listened to Proton continue before pulling out a normal Pokeball. If the thing didn't want a Great Ball, surely it'd succumb after the beating it had just received.
"I never pass up an opportunity for extra cash. More funding. Besides, what's the saying? All Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket?" Tossing the ball up and down in her hand for a moment, she aimed and chunked it at the dopey Pokemon. Tyrana snorted, watching with slight interest. The Pokemon wouldn't join their ranks, but at least there would be some use coming out of it, even if it was just to grow more tails. They were the Rocket currency, after all, and incredibly valuable. The more you had, the more influence you could have, depending on how you spun the situation.

Clicking his tongue as he mock gestured his hands to be like pistols, he recited the motto. " Close, Red, close. Steal Pokémon for profit. Exploit Pokémon for profit. All Pokémon exist for the glory of Team Rocket." She wasn't far off and he at least appreciated. " What you got was more than what most grunts remember. So i'll give ya that. Remember that and you'll go far, understand?" Cocking his head to the side as he put one of his gloved hands on his chin, he seemed strangely thoughtful. " Back it up with the Pokemon i've seen you got, you'll carve a name for ya self." Obviously unaware she already had a name and reputation of her own already, he was at least able to impart from the way she carried herself that she meant business. It wasn't everyday Proton was impressed by new recruits. " Best not fail this time." His tone jokey, there was however a definite sinister hint which suggested if she did fail that it would put a dampener on her records. Reattempting capture with Proton still witness, Rhoan lobbed a Pokeball forward, it soaring through the air as it dabbed the Pokemon with a fierce resounding slap. Absorbing it in a red light once more, the simple creature was covered from head to toe as it was digitised and scooped into the centre of the spherical capture device, blinking in the most blankest manner as it was. Falling to the floor with a plonk, the capture was now under way. Rocking back and forth, it was processing the newly acquired Pokemon. Hopefully this time would be a success. After beat down it had received, the Slowpoke surely had no stamina left to resist. Once... Twice... Thrice...

She gained 1 level and is now Level 24!They also gained +1 Happiness! Letting out a clap, the capture had at least satisfied the only audience member. " Not bad. Not bad at all." His eyes watching Rhoan as she retrieved the capture device, it was highly possible he wasn't referring to the capture itself but rather Rhoan's physique instead. Not quite clearing up his focus, he continued on. " Alright, here's the deal. I've only got one jet ski which connects all the way back to base so you'll have to make it to base on your own. Cut through Ilex and once you're in Goldenrod, head to these co-ordinates." Handing over a document, he then gave her a a wink, smorking. " Won't be a problem for a gal of your talents, i'm sure." Moving over to the body of water which had a jet ski bobbing on top of it, he placed the sack of tails on the back, securing it before starting the engine and looking over to her. " Seein' as we're here, I might as well get the formalities outta the way." ROCKET MISSION COMPLETERhoan has successfully cleared Operation Slowpoke! Raring the handles of the jet ski as he turned around, he looked over his shoulder and yelled something else. " When you make it back to base, be sure to check out the bar. Modelled it myself. Can't miss it. You and me. Drinks? Good? Good." Whizzing by, sending ripples of water splashing off, he yelled out. " Laaaaater!" Disappearing off into one of the many subterranean caverns, it left Rhoan alone with her Pokemon and the dull wails of the butchered Slowpoke amongst them. OOC: All items, prestige and exp updated.

Huzzah <3
Finished.
| | Slowpoke hadn't put up much of a fight when it came down to it, and this would be the final turn if Rhoan had any say in it. As long as the little pink blob stayed in it's ball, Rhoan's future would be bright. A smudge on her record wouldn't be good. Striving to impress the Rocket Admin watching her, Rhoan realized she had to find a bit better balance. If she kept trying to show off, it might give off the wrong idea. The Red Tiger didn't jump to pleasure others. She did it because she had to in order to get higher ground to pounce later on.
She already did have a name for herself, but she couldn't talk about that. Besides, nobody cares. She could be making it up for all that it was worth. Besides, better to have two titles and two regions fearing and respecting her. The hint of a threat hadn't gone unnoticed to Rhoan, and she clenched her jaw even harder, watching the ball rock back and forth with Slowpoke inside. When it captured, she let her shoulders relax, unaware they'd gotten so tense. Stepping forward to retrieve the ball, she heard Proton mutter something behind her about a nice capture, although it could've been about something else. Either way, she'd captured the Pokemon. While she found his strength attractive, she didn't have time to flounder when she had goals for herself.
"Phew." She muttered under her own breath, standing back up to face Proton. He had to make his own getaway, so she would do the same. She'd have to trek the long way, but at least Proton gave her the things needed to get to the base in Goldenrod. Ares stood off in the corner, so she walked over and mounted him, returning Tyrana. In the darkness she could hear Proton continue to speak about the bar, as well as drinks. While she wouldn't mind the alcohol, better to go immediately instead of meet up with Proton again.
