The attack from the Baltoy knocked the Ponyta off balance, depleting a good chunk of the fiery horse's health to the point where it was struggling to focus. Accompanied with the status of paralysis and it basically spelt out the loss of this battle for the Ponyta. Wanting to test it's strength, the wild Pokemon bit off more than it could chew with Ethan and his team, enough to make the Ponyta regret it's decision of charging head first into battle so recklessly. If only it was still against that floating ball of cotton, the Ponyta was next to certain that it could defeat atleast that. But this floating, spinning clay doll was a different story. It had some bizarre powers and quite frankly, it spooked the wild horse.
Its flaming mane dwindling compared to how it was when it first entered the battle, the Ponyta narrowed it's chestnut brown eyes as it noticed the fight come to a stand still. Opposite, the training seemed to pull out a strange object that the Ponyta wasn't familiar with and even if it did work out that it was a Pokeball, used for capturing Pokemon, it was in no state to try and avoid the throw. Instead, the Ponyta stood it's ground, expecting the Baltoy to be ordered another attack. Instead, it soon found itself drawn inside of the thrown Pokeball, where it then fought to try and free itself from the tight locks.

OOC: shouldnt cottonee gain a level still from participation because it is less than level 25 and still eligible for the exp system? After catching the Ponyta, he was looking more and more forward to the Goldenrod City. If the routes around the city itself was filled with interesting and unique Pokemon, what other Pokemon could be hiding inside the city itself? Or the other entrance/exit of this city? He can't wait! He may or may not have his hopes up for this big city. The ponyta he fought may have been fiery, but it ignited this enthusiasm in Ethan. The Seviper might have been a bit ruthless, but it made him energetic even more! Except the Rattata and Pidgeotto, those were a little too common! And the battle with the girl who helped her way, even she had more unique Pokemon than the ones back in Cherrygrove City! Tucking the extra pokeball in his pocket, he would have to wait until he reached the city to put it into his box. For now, he could start to smell the scent of food and automobile smoke coming from the city, but he still have a little bit more to walk. Returning the Baltoy, he thanked his Pokemon for the help, and continued to find whatever interesting may come up next. Morri Edit:For some reason I misread the number! Adding participation level now!

The arrival to Goldenrod would sadly have to wait for the time being. With Ethan getting closer to the city, it seemed the route would be happy to provide yet another encounter for the memory of it. Beating down with a warm temperature, the sun above seemed to intensify and render a thoroughly sizzling heatwave on the area. Causing the scenery off in the distance to wane as a result, it was perhaps the root cause of what was about to unfold. Adjacent off to where Ethan was adventuring, there seemed to be a large commotion. The sound of cracking eggs going splat, splat, splat in the vicinity was a little odd to say the least. However, it would all become clear. The tall grass rustling frenetically, it suddenly parted to have a slithery serpent come dashing out right in Ethan's way! Amazingly, it didn't appear as if it was waiting in ambush to jump the plucky traveller. Quickly avoiding Ethan, the Seviper made a quick getaway into the patch of tall grass opposite the path he was walking on. Disappearing out of view, it was almost conclusive that it had been chased away by something. But what? The sound of cracking eggs had to be linked to it somehow. Fortunately, he wouldn't have to ponder for too long. Moments later, the tall grass parted once more and out came a number of raucous Exeggcute which were hollering away at what can only be assumed was the Seviper that had encroached on them. Whether it had mistaken then for an egg it could devour was possible but the Exeggcute certainly didn't take kindly to it. Launching off a barrage of dummy like shells in the direction of the Seviper, it was clear they had come off as successful in defending themselves. As the cluster let out a breath of relief, they all turned around to retreat back to their nest when one of them caught sight of Ethan. Alerting the rest of the horde, they all swivelled around to face him and seemed to return to there frenzied state. If they had seen off one intruder, they could definitely see off another. Readying themselves for another barrage, it was likely a good idea Ethan got ready to defend himself. Encounter
A barmy Exeggcute (Level 15) appears! Please select a Pokemon for battle.Heatwave will be in effect.

As if this route wasn't interesting enough, the next event that Ethan encountered spiced up really well. He heard the crackling of eggs, which he thought were some poor Pokemon's egg nests were being crunched on. Perhaps it was one of those pesky Pidgeotto's? Then, suddenly the tall grass moved, revealing a Seviper who was on its way to slither across the street. Why did the Seviper cross the road? Just as he thought he would be battling another rarity known as Seviper, he found the snake just moving away instead. Following behind the giant snake, was a mix of bobbling, egg like Pokemon called Exeggcute, which were basically giant seeds that somehow moved and thought together. Though more emphasis on the thinking, as their movement looked a little less synchronized.
He certainly haven't seen a thing like this before either.
Playing it safe, he was trying to also capture this one, but first, he had to weaken these coconuts. "Come on out, Wavy, this beach party wants some fun, so let's give them a Play Rough!" He tossed a Pokeball out, sending the familiar water Pokemon which was known to play with the Picnicker Gina's Hoppip since the last time he sent it out. He wondered how would she played with these eggs.
OOC:
Edit Wavy personality please. scratch line is what's deleted. Underline is what's new. On second thought I have no intention to romantically create love couple between my pokemon anymore lol.
Wavy likes the sound of water-- raining, water splashing, water movement. This Azurill like bouncing and Azumarill likes humming when it's raining or there's a playable pool of water. With other Pokemon, Wavy tends to be sarcastic or rude with silence and her glance. In battle, Wavy usually starts the battle with plenty of bouncing and sarcastic insults.
She might also be developing relationship with Tempo
also can i swap baltoy for zigzagoon for water quest? thanks!

As Ethan acknowledged them, the Exeggcute were eager to chase off the trainer, much like how they had done to the Seviper only moments earlier. Hopping up and down in a disorderly fashion, each egg muttered incoherently to one another, showing that although they moved and acted as one, they each had their own individual personalities. But one thing was certain and that was that they were prepared to band together and attack in unison to chase any unwanted guests out of their territory, Pokemon or not. Ready to attack the trainer himself if he wasn't paying attention to their warning cries, it seemed that he had a way to defend himself, in the form of a Pokemon known as Azumarill. Throwing his choice of Pokeball forward, the burst of light faded to show the large, blue rabbit like shape, whose eyes scanned across the sight of her next opponent. Smirking almost immediately, the smug Pokemon didn't feel intimidated by these bouncing eggs in the slightest and if anything, looked down her nose at them. It was this reaction which spurred on the beginning of the battle.
Bouncing forward one after the other, the Exeggcute lunged for Wavy, without a care of her size or superior strength. They were brave little eggs but also stupid. Remaining silent, the Azumarill allowed the opponent to come to her, it meant she could use more energy in her next attack. Leaping up from the group, one of the Exeggcute took one for the team by trying to crash into Wavy's body but the Azumarill spun on her foot, using her tail to knock the flying egg straight back down to the ground. A wry smile spreading across her face as the others looked on in surprise, it seemed to finally be her turn. Picking up a few of the others, she lifted and juggled them in the air, accidentally or intentionally dropping them with a rather harsh motion to the ground once she had grown bored. With a few sorted, she then bounced forward with a leap, landing on another couple with a heavy body slam like motion. Only a couple more where then left, which clung together fearfully as Wavy towered over them. Using her tail, she knocked the remaining eggs over as if they were pins scattered about by a bowling ball. After that, all the Exeggcute could be seen scattered about, each and every one fainted from Wavy's rough play.
Congratulations! The wild Exeggcute was defeated!Wavy gained 750 experience and grew to Level 26! (107/2107) Felime gained 1 level (due to Exp Share) and grew to Level 24!

OOC: I'm sorry to ask for one more thing now... can I also swap Raticate for Snorunt and put EXP Share on it? Thanks!
Watching how his Azumarill played with those Exeggcute, he felt extremely terrible for those bouncy seeds He did not expect Wavy to throw, toss, juggle, and knocked the Exeggcute like that. Those were some brave and aggressive Exeggcutes! Poor Pokemon, and with that, he would have to scratch the thought of catching them. The grass types were beaten to pulp so much that they could be vegetable sauce. He thanked the Azumarill and returned the Pokemon, sighing and then continued his walk into Goldenrod City.
Well, he should be hurrying toward the city, as the sun was heating up and scorching the ground and air. He could feel himself sweating more from this extreme weather. Wiping sweat off his forehead with his backhand, he wiped the wet backhand onto the back of his shirt. He also gulped down some water before continuing. He could see the city, and he'll arrive soon.

As the skyscrapers and bustling streets of Goldenrod City became larger and larger, it seemed for a moment as if Ethan would be able to get into a nice air-conditioned Pokémon Centre before long. However, fate still seemed to have other ideas. The heavens were apparently conspiring to keep this trainer in the heat wave as a young Drowzee watched Ethan’s sluggish movement toward the big city. It was suffering badly from the sun’s powerful rays and didn’t exactly seem at its healthiest right now. It mopped its brow with a stumpy arm and tottered closer to Ethan, waiting for a chance to strike. Humans tended to carry water. Water sounded nice right now. Mmmm. As the Drowzee prepared to jump the trainer and seize tasty water, a Zangoose burst past it and dashed into Ethan’s path. It squared up to the young man, sharpening its claws and threatening him. It seemed to be rather delirious and mistaking the trainer for a wild Pokémon. Just as it prepared to run at Ethan, however, it saw something in the distance. A tree. Or, to the heat-addled Zangoose, a Seviper. Seviper was clearly a much bigger threat than the wild Ethan, so he left the smelly sweaty humanmon and ran off to kill the tree. With the hostile Zangoose finally gone, Drowzee could now safely intervene. It waddled over toward Ethan, just as he was reaching the city streets, and gave a tired battle cry. It was going to get its water, no matter what. Though, quite how it was going to do that when humans famously can’t speak Pokémon languages was beyond the little Psychic at this moment in time. A wild Drowzee (Level 17) wants a drink to battle! Battle or flee?

OOC: Charmeleon use Dragon Rage x2 woah hello politoed
IC: This route was getting more and more interesting as he reached closer to Goldenrod City. If his journey in this short path was a story, it would be approaching the climax or something. A Zangoose ran up and paused as it looked at Ethan, only for it to run away again with a Seviper running after it. Afterwards, he heard a battle cry from something, which sounded familiar. Then, he saw another Drowzee tiredly walked toward him. Its arm seemed to be raised reaching something from him.
Not a particular fan of the Drowzee kind, Ethan sent out a Pokeball and gave order to his Dynner. "Dynner, use Dragon Rage on the Drowzee until it dropped!" He hollered, and sent a mean looking Charmeleon to roast this Drowzee. The Charmeleon looked at the Drowzee, and told the Pokemon to go exercise somewhere, and then unleashed the unforgiving Dragon Rage.

Having experienced yet another close call with the Zangoose and Seviper species, Ethan had almost fallen victim to a pair of sharp claws before it was chased away. Although, either one of those Pokemon would've been a better opponent than the one that was approaching. Desperate for a drink of cool, refreshing water, the creepy Drowzee had a zombie like walk to it, as it plodded forward, arm outstretched towards Ethan. He was the first human the Pokemon had spotted and would surely understand that it needed help... Right? Having a bit of a dislike of the species, Ethan was not there to land the wild Pokemon a hand, let alone a precious drink of water. Instead, he prepared himself for battle. Anything to try and get this weird Drowzee as far away from him as possible.
With a throw of his arm, the male trainer sent forward his Charmeleon, known as Dynner. Red scales shining in the sunlight, the appearance of the young dragon made the Drowzee feel even warmer. Staggering forward, the Drowzee was finding it difficult to remain calm and collected. It wanted a drink and as things currently were, it would have to fight for it. Turning from Ethan's direction to face Dynner, the Drowzee gasped for breath, glaring at the Pokemon for interfering. With an opening of his jaw, Dynner released a mighty blue flame which appeared to distort into the shape of a roaring dragon. Rising into the air before crashing down on the body of the Drowzee, the thirsty psychic type bellowed out in pain but the battle still wasn't over. Smoke rising from its body, its snout twitched before slowly lifting its head to stare Dynner now.
With a lift of its stubby arms, the Drowzee managed to use its psychic powers to lift the Charmeleon up and into the air. Looking around in confusion, the Charmeleon felt it's entire body drop, backside landing on the ground with a heavy thump. Clicking it's tongue, Dynner hadn't yet finished. Creating a repeat from mere moments ago, the blue, dragon like flames appeared from his jaw once again. But this time, it was enough to finish off the Drowzee. Atleast it could now dream of having a tasty drink.
Congratulations! The wild Drowzee was defeated!Dynner gained 850 experience! (850/1951) +1 Happiness Felime gained 1 level (due to Exp Share) and grew to Level 25! Felime is able to learn Taunt! Forget a move?

Ooc: gonna try mobile reply. Not learning taunt
Sending out the fiery charmeleon, the sluggish drowzee was gone as quickly as it had came, but not as fast as the runaway zangoose. Even though the opponent tried to put up a fight using its psychic attack, the fire type overcame the tired drowzee with his own dragon flames. With the psychic type behind him, Ethan thanked his Pokemon and continued his way toward goldenrod city.
Realizing that his backhand wasn't enough, he paused to grab a towel from his bag to wipe sweat on his head. He would have to do laundry too at Pokemon center once he settled down on a lodging room, and even washed that dirty sock after walking in ilex forest. And he got so many creative idea from the wall between azalea town and goldenrod city. He have so many things to do, but first, he needed to stay hydrated or he'll pass out from overheating in this weather.

Zangoose was jumping around in the tall grass, trying to keep his territory free of those nasty Seviper! But it was a tough job that and one that was made worst by the sun beating down on the earth and Zangoose being covered in fur. It couldn't help but notice the trainer walking in this blistering heat and he was heading right for its territory.
The red and white pokemon rushed up to the Ethan, and growled at him waiting for him to move on or challenge him. Ethan wasn't moving fast enough for this Zangoose, he started to get angry "Zang.... ZANGOOSE" he spat get on his hind legs to looks scary. A wild Zangoose(Level 15) wants to battle! Battle or flee?

OOC: Meowth lead with Fake Out, and then Pokeball
IC: Walking forward, he didn't realize that he was entering another Pokemon's territory, not until he heard some growls. Then, after hearing the growls, a big Zangoos ran up to him, showing its angry demeanor and big claws. Seeing such another rare Pokemon, Ethan's eyes lit brightly as much as the blazing sun's lit the ground to hell fire.
"Woah, a Zangoose...!" He spoke to himself, feeling tired from the sun to talk too much. "Come on out, Felime, use Fake Out!" He was hoping to try and capture this rare Pokemon, once again with the capturing motive, since he did fainted the Seviper and Exeggcute from earlier. Out from the Pokeball was a Meowth, who was examining the opponent. Once his normal type finished attacking, he went to his bag to grab a Pokeball ready, hoping to capture it.

The appearance of the wild Zangoose had Ethan on his toes, his hand immediately grabbing a Pokeball from his belt. He was certainly having his fair share of rare Pokemon encounters, even if some of them hadn't attacked the young man directly! As the burning sun loomed overhead with bright and powerful rays, the fur covered Zangoose lifted it's sharp claws, that glittered brightly. Sharp eyes piercing a stare at the human, this time was an actual issue of a challenge. Unless an unsuspected Seviper popped out yet again! Contemplating on capturing the rarity, Ethan chose his partner for the battle and threw forward the Pokeball containing his loyal Meowth, Felime. Landing in the grass with claws extended, the female alley cat flicked her tail at the sight of the slightly larger Pokemon. It looked a bit spooky to most but for Felime, she was certain that she had faced scarier foes.
Without hesitation of what she was up against, Felime pounced into action, her incredible speed bringing her closer to the standing Zangoose. Struggling to keep up with her fast movements, the wild Pokemon staggered back, hoping to dodge the upcoming attack but the Meowth was just far more experienced. With her sharp claws, the Meowth landed a feint blow to the Zangoose, hitting several parts of it's body with surprising accuracy. Dropping to its knees, the rare creature took a moment to recover from the Fake Out and that was where Ethan intervened. Whilst the Pokemon was flinched, he prepared a spare Pokeball, though luck had to be on his side if he hoped to capture it successfully the first time. Zangoose were rare and known to be strong willed, this one would easily be able to break out of the Pokeball. Atleast, logic pointed to that. With a throw of his arm, the DJ tossed the Pokeball towards the Zangoose. Dragging it inside with a flash of red light, the ball struggled and rocked amongst the blades of grass all until...
Zangoose: | Level 15 | Health: 41% ( 21/51 HP) Status: Normal Zangoose flinched!

Felime: | Level 25 | Technician Health: 100% (62/62 HP) Status: Normal Felime used Fake Out!

Watching his Pokemon start the battle to weaken the Zangoose, Felime looked quite smaller compared to the Zangoose. However, both normal type Pokemon seemed to shared one thing in common, their sharp claws. Thankfully, Felime had speed as her advantage, and she struck the opponent fast. Afterward, Ethan had the opportunity to throw the Pokeball and captured the opponent. That was such a quick capture! The trainer thanked his Meowth and then returned the feline Pokemon, as there wasn't a need for his Pokemon to be out in the sun for too long. He went forward and picked up the Zangoose, another capture in his belt! Now he just needed to find someone who would wanted to trade for his Pokemon. Moving forward, Ethan continued his walk in the outskirt of Goldenrod City, and he was starting to smell city smoke and some plastic bag being blown in the wind. That plastic bag was gone as fast as he saw it.

Capturing the Zangoose flawlessly, Ethan picked up the Pokeball and stuck it in his pocket, hoping that he would be able to sell it on to a different trainer. Zangoose were a rare species, so there was no doubt that someone would be interested in purchasing it from him at some point. Returning Felime back into her Pokeball after a job well done, the young man continued on his exploration of the route, with Goldenrod City close by. The scent of the city was unlike any of the other places he had visited whilst being in Johto. A large metropolis, many people lived in the big city, hand in hand with horrible smells and pollution. So much so that a piece of litter had escaped the city walls and was blowing through the route.
Riding the winds, the plastic bag spun and danced on the breeze, passing Ethan but clinging to something else. Something very close by. Sounding as if it had hit something, the plastic crunch was accompanied by a muffled grunt. Turning, Ethan would see the cause. Wrestling the bag off of it's face was a levitating Pokemon, its yellow arms throwing the bag to one side to reveal its face. It was an Abra! Known to be sneaky in that it teleports all over the place, it was unusual to come across one. If Ethan was quick and attacked or threw a ball now, he would have a chance at owning one! Or maybe this could be sold or traded, too.
A wild Abra (Level 18) has appeared! Please select a Pokemon to use in battle or Flee!
