While Megan's mind still churned about her upcoming, inevitable battle with Falkner as it was coming closer. She almost missed the small pokemon sitting in the middle of her path soaking up the sun. The calm demeanor of the small plant pokemon just sat in the sun. Megan stopped and watched it for a moment fore pulling out her Pokedex.
Pokedex: Budew, the Bud Pokémon. In winter, it keeps its bud closed to survive the cold, but then opens it again in the spring.
"Ooooh! It's almost winter! Poor thing! Though you must be so beautiful in the Spring with your little bud! Oh I hope you will join our team!" She said as optimistically as she could. Her hand went to her Pokemon partners on her hip as her fingers grazed over each pokeball before deciding on one. She popped it off her hip, enlarged it and tossed it out. "Perdu, let's weaken the little guy just a bit! Let's start off with a Gust!" She said her hands clasped in front of her chest just hoping on this grey day that the little Bud pokemon well join them on their journey!

With an upcoming Pokémon gym battle and the weather cooling down, Megan seemed to be doing alright herself to prepare for whatever that will come next. As the grass type Pokémon showed up, the young trainer took a couple seconds to finalize ok which Pokémon to send out. Seeing the young baby Pokémon, the pidgey that was sent out chirped nonchalantly to greet the opponent, bu also took note on how the weather had cooled down. After receiving an order, the flying type hopped upward a little bit, and then flapped its own wings as hard as it could to whip up a small whirlwind. The grass type was lifted up from the ground and then has gravity pulled it back down to earth. Then, the naive grass type glowed green and looked a little bigger with its growth attack. Well, that wasn't very dramatic. Ooc: sorry typing on mobile so it's short and i forget what gender perdu is.

Perdu ruffled his feathers as the temperatures had been dropping to a much cooler temperature. Luckily his feathers were keeping him quite warm as cool breeezes blew through the city chilling the rest of the area. When Megan had called for his attack he heartily obeyed just wanting to get back into his Pokeball, none of his usual feisty antics today. His large gust of wind picked up the little bud like she had expected and tossed it a little bit further back. It had hopped back up though and quickly glowed a green color that made it look a little bigger. "Well, that was anti-clamactic.." Megan noted.
Perdu had landed back infront of her hopping to keep warm as he watched the little bud pokemon, Megan was going to feel bad about fainting the little thing and then taking it but well, such was the life of a pokemon trainer. She couldn't wait till she was able to breed pokemon. She just wanted to make friends with the Pokemon and sometimes battling, as much as it was in her blood and she loved it, seemed harsh at times.
"Go for another Gust," she said as she wrapped her scarf a little closer to her face, trying to warm up her cold nose.

The slightly larger Budew rolled around on the spot, eyes gently squinted as it suddenly felt a warm ray from the sun up above. The feeling was so pleasant that the bud like Pokemon almost forgot there and then that it was still in a battle! Naive, ditsy or just plain and simply unaware of its surroundings, the Budew was a laid back Pokemon and it showed. Fluffing up his feathers to try and keep his cold body warm, Perdu eyed his opponent curiously, wondering if this expanding size meant that the Budew was powering up some hidden strength or if it was just a grass type thing. Either way, he had the advantage and with the go ahead from Megan, had very little reason to hold back. Whilst the Budew was distracted once again with a moment of sunbathing, the Pidgey lifted his wings and rushed up a gush of sharp winds. Circling around the body of the Budew, it didn't take long at all the make the Pokemon surrender. Covered in scuff marks from the wind attacks and feeling a little dizzy, the bud didn't look as if it was going to attack anymore. Megan could either use this chance to capture it or simply walk off to find a more... Alert, opponent.
