A wild Sentret (Level 9) appeared!

With the Pokeball holding the newly acquired Lillipup on his belt, the finished encounter allowed the trainer and his team to continue seeking out further opponents. Pleased that his Goomy had finally started to learn a dragon type move, the same couldn't be said for Alpha. The Beldum had gone full throttle against the wild Lillipup as the yearning to become strong and evolve was beginning to overcome common sense. Irritated that it had not been able to finish the battle it had started, the Beldum rushed off in order to find another victim to test it's strength against. By this point, the Beldum was becoming much stronger than the Pokemon who lurked in this area, it was made clear from the previous battle. Yet Marchbaby was taking this training cautiously and knew that the time to move on wasn't quite yet. Thus, they ventured across Route 32, the next Pokemon to cross Alpha's sight likely to fall victim to a strong beating.

Eager to find something, anything, the Beldum rushed on ahead, leaving Marchbaby, Bonecrusher and Blubber tailing behind it. A seek and destroy mentality going on, it wasn't long at all before Alpha found something. Lurking in the tall grass close by, a pair of tall brown ears poked up from the sheet of grass, clearly giving away it's position. No matter what it was hiding under there, Alpha was determined to take it down. Without hesitation, Alpha zoomed straight into the grass and the ears that once poked upward was pulled away from sight, followed by the sound of a collision. Upon further investigation, it seemed that Alpha had found a Sentret, which was now sprawled across the ground, fainting after one hit. Likely young and inexperienced, the fainted Pokemon was left beind as Alpha examined it for any traces of retaliation before moving onto it's next opponent. Evolution was becoming so close.

Just as the battle ended Alpha began to go berserk as he made a beeline dash for Marchbaby's backpack. Before the young dragon tamer could react the metalic Pokemon put a Rare Candy into it's mouth followed by a third of the birthday cake he was saving. Just a few seconds later a bright light surrounded the young Beldum and before long it's body began to change into a more powerful form complete with arms.

Alpha had evolved into a Metang and Marchbaby stood speechless at the sight. He was in shock that Alpha was able to evolve after all this time. When he finally did try to get a word out he was interrupted by Alpha who had begun to speak itself as it's new form increased it's intelligence enough for it to communicate verbally.

" You dragon tamer you were a brave man to hold me back from unleashing my power against Lillipup two battles ago but I respect you for it. I see the same strength in you as Steven had though unlike himself you are dedicated to battling. You have access to my strength to aid you in your quest to stop your brother. I know he did not tell you this but the man you met was the former champion of the Hoenn region. Being one of the many Beldum he has raised I have quite a pedigree and I am sure I will be very useful in your quest." As the robotic Pokemon fell silent Marchbaby's jaw hit the floor as he learned the man he met was a former champion. Alpha being able to talk now was just an added bonus as it's intelligence would be a huge help in stopping Tyler when the time finally came.

" Whoa my head hurts now. Was Steven really a former champion? I got the sense he was a strong trainer but that makes it even more of an honor to have met him. That would explain your toughness and drive for battle as well." Alpha nodded before speaking again hoping to clear up any other questions Marchbaby might of had. " Yes he really was. Our species is known for our power and bravery so I am glad to hear I am living up to your expectations. Though my strength is far from being fully realized my evolution has granted me the ability to use Confusion and Metal Claw so now I will have better options to handle any foes we may face." With Alpha now in a suitable condition to move on Marchbaby and his Pokemon headed back to Azalea to confront his brother. However before Marchbaby could seal up his backpack Atropos and Blubber also enjoyed a piece of cake too.


Ooc: Alpha grows to level 20 thanks to the rare candy and birthday cake. It also gains +1 happiness putting it at +8. Blubber and Atropos also gain 1 level and happiness. Atropos is now level 27 and she has +7 happiness. She has (0/2267) exp needed to level up. Blubber grows to level 19 and she now has +6 happiness. Items and Pokemon updated.
