"Ugh.." Justin groaned, rubbing his eyes as he took his first steps into the Ecruteak route. After the Goldenrod shenanigans he had gotten himself and his Pokemon into, he was more than ready to go ahead and get some sleep. Unfortunately, that wouldn't happen until he made his way up to Ecruteak. At least Capona was above, making sure that he was staying on the same path, but he couldn't help but shake the feeling that things were about to get a little hairy before they'd calm down. "All I wanna do is sleep, man. Is that too much ta ask?" He groaned to himself, scratching a bit at his stubble.
This evening had already been interesting. The Sudowoodo being a bit of a distraction, as well as Freyja saving Justin and evolving at the same time. All of his Pokemon were sticking their necks out for him, and what was Justin good for? I mean, he took photos which was relatively interesting at dinner parties, but his Pokemon had individual personalities and lives that were so much more interesting than his. "If anything, i'm the one that needs to evolve..." Justin groaned, rubbing his eyes once more. Surreo's Pokeball shuddered, as if attempting to get Justin's attention. "Are you alright, Justin?" The Gallade had psychic abilities, but even those weren't needed to tell that Justin was in a bit of a rut.
"Eh, just feeling a little low. You guys are too good for me. Too interesting. I'm just a photographer, and I feel like i'm kinda failing at this trainer thing. I mean, I didn't know I was walking into a dangerous situation and I didn't get hurt because of my Pokemon. But what do I bring to the table?" He grunted, waiting for Surreo to reply. It took a moment, but eventually he could feel the Pokemon's presence in his mind.
"I can understand feeling that way, but who took pity on me after I was stomped in a Pokemon battle? Who made Freyja comfortable enough even after a terrible past? Just because you aren't the one doing the battling doesn't mean you're not a central part of the team. Of course you're our trainer, but you're the glue that keeps us together. Besides, the fact that you're even having these thoughts means that you value us, which means that we're the lucky ones to have you. Now, watch the path because it's dark and I don't want you to trip. You have very bad night vision." Surreo snickered, and Justin smiled a little bit. Perhaps it was just the midnight blues.
"Capona, you good up there? Keep a look out, and attack any wild Pokemon that comes down with a Wing Attack. Unless it's a trainer, obviously. Don't hit them, please." he snickered, although he felt relatively confident there wouldn't be too many trainers out here at this hour. Later, definitely.

A wild Venonat (Level 21) was found!
Uncovering the truth behind the mysterious tree, which had been wrecking havoc on a nearby berry plantation, it left Justin to continue his wander through the darkness, trying to find the next town up ahead. Just on the border of Ecruteak City, the tired photographer hit a moment of self doubt but was soon encouraged by his trustworthy and caring team member, Surreo. He had come a long way on his journey across the Johto region and was now practically half way through the land. There were still plenty of Pokemon to see, people to meet and places to go but there was no need for him to feel disheartened. Perhaps it really had been because of the cold and distant night that his mood had swung this way or maybe he was still reeling in from the surprise of Freyja evolving. Either way, he had done a good deed and deserved a pat on the back. Looking up, tall trees edged along the dirt path, making the night feel that bit darker. It was a good thing that he had his Gallade by his side and Honchkrow swooping in the air, as the chance of getting lost in this darkness was high.
Hoping not to bump into trainers on this nightly stroll, he gave Capona free reign to attack on sight and immediately, her eyes fell upon an opponent. A nocturnal creature known as Venonat had attempted to hide itself within the branches of a tree, tiny fangs nibbling away at a berry, of which it had quite a collection of. Smirking to herself, Capona felt as if she needed to practice and quickly swooped in to attack. The Venonat would've likely avoided Justin but it was best to be safe than sorry. Dive bombing from above, the small Pokemon didn't know what had hit it until it was too late, or even at all. As the dark wings of Capona knocked the furry Pokemon off of the branch, the Venonat managed to make a fairly light landing in some bushes below but that didn't help the fact that it had pretty much fainted on impact.
Congratulations! The wild Venonat was defeated!Capona gained 1575 exp (extra due to Lucky Egg)! (2169/2269) +1 Happiness Riika gained 1 level (due to Exp Share) and grew to Level 19!

(really hard to type but want to put something)
Justin trucked on, trudging towards Ecruteak as best he could in the darkness. With a bit of a pep talk from his Pokemon, he felt as though he could make it safely to Ecruteak and still continue on as a decent trainer. If he could get on all fours and battle for his Pokemon he would too, but not much he could really do for them now. As they progressed, Justin wasn't aware of the Pokemon around them in the darkness, especially those up in the trees. Perhaps Simba could have with his keen eyesight, but Justin wasn't that capable. So, of course, when the dark flash of Capona diving down happened, he wasn't sure what was going on. She probably thought a Pokemon was going to attack him, and went ahead and did the job herself. His suspicious were confirmed when a Venonat plopped from the branches of a tree down into a bush, fainted on the spot. Capona landed in front of Justin, preening a chest feather as if to brag.
"You definitely showed that bug, Capona." He snickered, reaching down to give her chin a scratch. "Glad i've got you in the skies keeping an eye on us as we walk." Capona clicked her beak and snickered. "Well your eyesight is really bad, it's the least I could do as the eye in the sky. After all, the only one with eyesight to rival mine is Simba, but you're a bit too tall to ride on his back."
"So humble, too." Justin smiled, giving her one last scratch under her beak before standing back up. "How much further to Ecruteak?"
"It's up the path here. It's safe to say we'll make it there right before the sun starts to rise if we keep at this pace. If we engage in too many battles, it might be a bit longer." Capona reported, taking back to the skies. The news was good, but not really what Justin wanted to hear. He wanted to get his head on a pillow stat. Having never traveled past this point, it didn't' seem safe to camp this late at night. Might as well keep trucking on. "Alright, well same deal. Don't attack a trainer, but if a Pokemon comes up, I probably won't see it so that's all you." He told Capona. The bird nodded silently before rising back into the sky.

Soaring and scouting in the sky, it didn't take long for Capona to identify another wild Pokemon. This time, it was a young red fox, running in the woods to chase after a rolling fruit. The dark crow flew downward, stepping right in front of the fruit to stop it from rolling, and then kicked the fruit toward the Vulpix. The fire type thanked the strange black feathered bird, and naively ate the fruit. After watching the mammal had finished the meal, Capona soared upward. The Vulpix at first thought Capona was flying away, however, that generosity came with a price. Hanging in the air for two seconds, the avian then flew downward, striking the very Vulpix whom she had just helped. Perhaps, a dark crow was still a bad luck, no matter how helpful they were. Seeing the Vulpix had passed out from her attack, Capona flew back to Justin for another hunting report.
Capona gained 1500 exp (lucky egg) from defeating (Level 20) Vulpix! She is now level 28! 1400/2437 to level 29! She gained 1 happiness, now +14! Riika gained 1 level from EXP share and is now level 20! She wants to learn Rapid Spin, delete a move? Forgetting Bubble for Rapid Spin on Riika Continuing with the Wing Attack anything motif for now Gotta train up the pimpkrow The photographer wasn't necessarily pleased with all of the shenanigans happening around him in the dark. Every bush rustle set his hair on edge, and with every twig that popped he almost jumped five feet into the air. It was no surprise that he was a scaredy-cat, although he truly hated to admit it. There weren't many traits you could hide behind a camera for, and that was one of them. Thankfully his Pokemon were looking out of him, specifically Surreo and Capona for now. With the superior air support, Justin felt a little better. Sure, Pokemon could move around and make noise, but he wouldn't see them without seeing the hulking mass that was his Honchkrow. The thought put him at ease for a while longer.
As the night pressed on, sounds continued but for the most part, the only thing he could do was truck forward. A ruffle of feathers and a muffled cry pierced the silence and before he could react, Capona had landed in front of him. By the way she was preening her feathers and acting her usual smug self, Justin assumed she'd neutralized another 'threat.'
"What was it this time?" He asked cooly, wrapping his jacket close around him. The bird clipped her beak together before preening a feather. From behind the ruffles she mumbled.
"A fox Pokemon, Vulpix." "Aww, but those are cute. Why'd you knock it out?" "It was running after a piece of fruit, but I didn't see the fruit until it was too late. It could have been running at you. Then how cute would it have been?"
He had to hand it to the bird, she had a sharp tongue.
"Not very cute, alright. I trust your judgement still. Easy mistake. How much closer are we?" "Not much closer than we were before. You worry too much about where you're putting your feet." "Not all of us can fly..." "True, tis a pity. Maybe you'd have better eyesight then."
Capona chortled, making a sound akin to a birdy laugh before taking back to the sky. She had a point, though. "Be careful up there." He murmured under his breath, curious if there were also night birds flying around like her. Probably so, but it wasn't his concern for now. Capona knew what she was doing, and even if she didn't, those Pokemon instincts would kick in. Out of all his Pokemon, she was the only one that stayed true to her intended nature. Cunning, conniving and slick. Even Jormun was a pushover for a Gyarados. It did help that Capona was pushing herself to get stronger. Perhaps she was treating this as a training exercise? All the same, her orders were still standing. Wing Attack unless it was a trainer, of course.

After defeating a mostly harmless Vulpix Justin and his team continued towards their destination however the night was not done messing with them yet. Off in the distance there was a cute high pitched howl that repeated every few minutes and it sounded like it was getting closer. The howl sounded like that of a canine however it was a bit hard to be sure. As they got closer however the dark outline of a familar Pokemon came into view. The small howling Pokemon quickly noticed the approaching party and it began to walk towards them. Once the Pokemon was close enough for Justin to identify he could tell it was another Vulpix. Seeing the human cleary the fire type ran towards him wanting to snuggle before Capona intervened. Not knowing Vulpix meant no harm she went on the attack. Flying up high she spread out her wings before diving on Vulpix. As the two collided Vulpix was sent a good 20 feet away skidding on the ground with a huge red mark clear across it's face. Vulpix was knocked out by the attack but after a few minutes it regained consciousness as it stood up. It began to cry uncontrollably as tears ran down it's face trying to stop the unmerciful stinging caused by the wing attack. Before Justin could try to make amends to the poor Vulpix it ran off with it's tail between it's legs fearing it would get swatted again if it did not run off. Now that Capona had scared off another Pokemon Justin had to decide how to handle the situation as Capona had knocked out two rare Pokemon in a row and there was no telling what might jump out at them next. An adorable Vulpix (level21) that wants to snuggle appeared however Capona jumped the gun and knocked it out. Capona fought well and gained 1575 exp due to her Lucky Egg.She grows to level 29 and has 538/2611 experience needed to level up. She gains +1 happiness and she has +15 overall. Riika gained 1 level thanks to her Experience Share. She is now level 21.

Moving forward to Ecruteak, healing up and switching things around then coming back in the day to 37 Capona, relatively pleased with herself, banked once more to return to her trainer at the foothills of Ecruteak. Justin seemed a little irate and shaken up, but Capona could tell she was about to get into trouble. "Capona... I don't mind that you're protecting me, and I understand that it was getting a little close to me, but I don't think that this is the best idea anymore. They're cute, and it's making me feel bad." Justin felt guilty for these knocked out Pokemon, but he had to get to Ecruteak soon. Thankfully, this route was short.
"Yes, yes, i'm aware. We're almost to Ecruteak, and if you want me to protect you, it's best to do things this way anyways. I do hope you understand." Capona ruffled her feathers and preened at a loose one. "It's just above this rise, past the tree. A very short route, thankfully." Expecting Justin's irritation, Capona had let it flow off as easily as she would let water off her wings. Justin had a tender heart, and while he was doing good at training her thus far, she couldn't help but shake the fact she'd be a key player in the fights to come. Because of this, it was time for her to pull out all the stops. Her time would come.
"Yeah, let's keep going. I can almost see the lights of the Pokemon center..."
--------------------
Rest and relaxation was amazing, and it hadn't taken Justin long to get his Pokemon situated before kicking up his feet himself, quickly finding sleep without much trouble. When he awoke, his Pokemon were all ready and prepped, healed to the tip top percent and ready for what came next. "Let's head back and train. This place has a Gym too, so we need to be at our best. Capona got some good training in, but I think it's someone elses turn." Justin smiled, standing to leave the Pokemon Center. He returned back to Route 37, this time with Rhoan in tow. Although she might not be the first up in the battles with the Ghost Pokemon of Ecruteak, she was still brimming with potential. Justin could almost feel the power radiating off of her. "Alright, let's get to it! I think it's best to stick to your fighting moves, I think they can be perfected even further. Let's try a few Arm Thrusts." Rhoan snorted, crossing her arms.
"Everything I do is rock hard and awesome, but if you insist! I'll pulverize 'em!"

A wild Stantler (Level 22) has appeared! ______________________________________
All rested and healed up, Justin decided to travel back out to Route 37, which was situated just below Ecruteak City. The night before was chaotic, with the whole mysterious tree business but he had atleast managed to get in a small bit of training with Capona in, before resting up for the night. Even if the string of Pokemon left behind in his footsteps made him feel a bit guilty. Now, the sun shone up in the sky and the photographer was eager to get back into the ring. Ecruteak City held not only the next Gym challenge but also the infamous Dance Theatre, where trainers could battle with strong Kimono Girls, each holding an individual eeveelution. It was certainly the place to go for trainers who were looking for a challenge. The traditional city was also home to the historical sight of Burned Tower, which held it's own mysteries and secrets. Many would steer clear due to it's unsafe looking structure but deep beneath the collapsing walls and broken beams would be something monumentally special. Especially for Justin.
With Rhoan by his side, Justin and the Pignite headed in the direction of the local route for now. The two just as eager as one another, Rhoan pounded her fists together, ready to attack anything that dared to cross their path. The route was well sheltered, edged with tall trees, shrubs and ferns for as far as the eye could see. It was the perfect place for wild Pokemon to hide, or atleast lay in wait for unsuspecting victims. Protruding out from a nearby bush were the strangest looking pair of pale branches, a black stone situated in base of both of them. Distracted by the sight, Rhoan seemed to stare at them for a while, oddly beginning to feel sleepy. Her eyelid drifting, this feeling was certainly strange. Not quite falling asleep, she staggered forward to investigate further but as soon as it realised that it's Hypnosis didn't work, the strange branches lifted into the air, as a hidden Pokemon made itself known. A wild Stantler had been sneakily lurking close by and Rhoan put two and two together. She had felt sleepy because of it's obscure horns, that meant that it was trying to attack her, thus, she could fight back.
Scrunching up her snout, the Pignite wasted no time in stomping over to the naughty Stantler, thrusting her strong arms forward multiple times and striking out at the deer for it's terrible tactics. Unable to endure the pain, the Stantler somehow managed to worm itself free from her Arm Thrusts and limped away hurriedly.
______________________________________ Congratulations! The wild Stantler was defeated! Rhoan gained 1650 exp (extra due to Lucky Egg) and grew to Level 31! (1211/2977) Rhoan is able to learn Heat Crash! Forget a move? Riika gained 1 level (due to Exp Share) and grew to Level 22!

Keeping it during the day on Route 37, Please drop Ember for Heat Crash
//Rhoan wil use Arm Thrust x2 once again! (Running Shoes) "Hah! Did you see that?!" Rhoan grunted, watching the Stantler limp away with haste. Flexing her stubby arms to show off her muscles, the Pignite turned over her shoulder to mug Justin, who she assumed had a camera pointed at her. To her dismay, Justin was looking somewhere else, causing her to snort with distaste. "Hey! Glasses! I'm over here making magic and you're not paying any attention! I'm destined for greatness today and you're not even taking any pictures of me. It's like you're turning into a real trainer or something!" Rhoan teased, wagging a stubby finger at her trainer.
Brought back to reality, Justin chuckled and pulled out his camera. After tinkering with a few settings, he snapped a photo of his Pignite before returning to tinkering. "That was a good battle indeed! You're getting pretty good. Let's keep it up." The Pignite's words finally registered with him though, and he looked up from his camera. "Wait, you think i'm a real trainer?" The thought never truly occurred to him that his Pokemon looked at him in such a way, he assumed they just put up with him and his camera shenanigans. To hear that one of his strongest Pokemon, albeit while making fun of him, thought of him as a real trainer added weight to his journey. Good weight, of course.
"Yeah, I mean, why not? You're winning battles, we're getting stronger. Hell, you got Freyja to talk for heaven's sake. That's pretty big in my book, and i'm big." Placing a paw on her stomach for emphasis, Rhoan continued. "I dunno what kinda facade you got going in your head, but you're pretty good. Pictures on top of that makes you a really unique trainer for us. Most people struggle with just the battles but you do both." Shrugging it off, Rhoan continued looking forward, stretching her arms. "But that's just me. I'm pretty sure the others think so too. That Wartortle you've got, I've never seen her before but she says nothing but good things."
Justin figured it was better to leave the conversation here. Rhoan didn't have many touching moments, so he relished the one that he did get with her. "Keep working on those Arm Thrusts, gal. Looking great." As long as the sun was up, they could keep the grind up. He couldn't shake the feeling he was going to be involved with more evolutions soon, and he owed it to Rhoan to help her get to that point.

They didn't have to wait long for another encounter, as an airborne opponent had been watching their slaughter of the deer pokémon. Feathers ruffled, a bird of black and white screamed from above and made a dive inward. It looked like it was going to be an easy target for Rhoan. The avian was coming in straight on and so the fire pig readied her arms, reeling back and waiting for the perfect moment to use her opponent's own momentum against them. But it wouldn't be so easy. Staravia had watched the previous fight and knew what to watch for; not to mention had a trick of its own. Of which it put into action in the final stretch between it and the pignite. In a flash the starling pokémon disappeared, and in the next second a handful reappeared. Suddenly half a dozen birds were diving at Rhoan, but which one was the real one? She had to pick one and so she did. At the last moment all the visions of her opponent broke and veered upward in their feint, leaving the fighting boar little time to choose. She struck out at one of the ones to her side but to her dismay her hoofed fist punched nothing but air. She would have another chance in quick time, as the Staravia swiftly twirled and made a u-turn to come back in along with all of its duplicates following suit. Again the bird was swooping in but this time with a clear attack as all of their wings began to glimmer and shine. But Rhoan had a plan. She held her ground and purposefully took the hit, confident in her own fortitude and ability to dish out whatever she ended up taking; though it may have been even a little bit more than she anticipated. This way she'd know exactly which one was real. The wing attack hit hard, nearly winding the fire pig, but she kept her wits about her and before her opponent could zip off into the air she rammed a fist down on its feathered body, and another. Unfortunately that was all she had the breath for after that hit and the Staravia was allowed time to recover itself and take off back to the skies to mix and mingle in with the fakes. Wild Battle

Rhoan going to use Heat Crash on wild Staravia Expecting an easy fight, the Pignite was thrown off when the Staravia fought back with multiple copies of itself. Unsure of which to hit, Rhoan missed her first attack as well as her chance to knock out the bird in only a few hits. Cursing to herself with a grunt, Rhoan tightened her pudgy fists and snarled. "Damn bird! Why won't you just stay down and let me win?" She threw a glance over at Justin, who was doing his best to stifle a hearty laugh.
"Hey! You're not helping the situation, photo boy. Buzz off." Rhoan's ears flattened against her skull as her skin burned with embarassment.
"You missed an attack, i'm not sure why you're acting like its the end of the world, dear." Justin murmured, placing a hand on his hip before gesturing with his camera towards the bird. "You better give me some good photos quick though, or I might have one with ya sprawled out on the floor getting your butt kicked." Justin teased, giving his Pignite a wink. Rhoan growled and crossed her arms, turning back towards the bird.
"It ruined my streak... so i'll.. i'll ruin it!" The hothead growled, clenching her fists once more before roaring. Justin stepped back a bit, the fires from Rhoan's passionate roar a bit too hot for him to handle comfortably.
"Sounds like a great time to use a Heat Crash, then." Justin suggested, although he wasn't too sure Rhoan was going to listen to him with the state she was in. Thankfully it seemed as though she were going to comply. He picked up the slightest nod from the angry pig, and that was good enough for him. "We gotta get you prepped for that Gym Battle we have coming up, as well as the rest of the team. I don't think there's gonna be much rest for me today, but at least i'm not doing the heavy lifting..." Justin murmured. The only one fully prepped for the fight was probably Freyja, and he wasn't sure if he was going to use her or not. It all depended on the type of Pokemon that were waiting for him in the Ecruteak gym. There was also that dance hall to think about. Maybe when they finished he could go watch that as a rest for himself after training his Pokemon?

The great sky raptor cried into the air, announcing its supremacy over the land pig. Not that it was in any way true considering they did about equal bouts of damage to one another, but the wild Staravia was confident in its fake doubles. So much so that it didn't even feel like it needed to pull out any other tricks to defeat its foe. Complying with Rhoan's wishes to come down the fearsome avian dove in once again, wary of that little trick the pignite had preformed before. But this time she appeared too heated to think much about tactics, and she wasn't remaining as still as previously. Thus the bird swooped in, wings shining as it twirled for the attack and immediately re-angling to shoot back into the sky. But such was not the case. Taken by her opponent's speed her delivery was a little slow but by no means lacking in impact. As the Staravia was at its lowest point having landed its own attack Rhoan took advantage, jumping into the air after it in a spectacular splay of fire. Hurtling through the air the fiery pig made to body slam, elbow jutting down, the weaker pokémon. The Staravia let out a pitiful squawk before crashing to the ground licked with embers and under the full weight of Rhoan. Wild Battle

Birthday cake for Pignite (32-33) Gallade (28-29) Gyarados (28-29 +1 Rare Candy - 30) Forget Bite for Aqua Tail on Gyarados, moving Lucky Egg to Gyarados Gyarados using Aqua Tail x2 on Whatever comes up Using a new move, and new tactics, Rhoan was able to squash the opposing bird and win the match, but anyone could tell that it had taken a good bit out of the Pignite. Although she had won, battle after battle had definitely taken its toll on her. Her muscles in her arms were shaking, but it could have been from adrenaline... It wasn't until Rhoan gave a sigh and sat down on her butt, stubby legs jutting out to the side, that Justin could tell she was done for a while. Of course, the pig would never admit it.
"Great battle! C'mon over, Rhoan, I think it's time ta get some food goin'." Justin suggested, watching the pig's ears perk up at the mention of food. However stereotypical it was, if the shoe fits... Rhoan stood up and waddled over, eagerly watching Justin unpack a few bags. "Let's go! I'm bushed, let's eat!" She barked, stubby hands on her hips in anticipation.
"You're so sassy today." "And you're so slow today." "Sorry, uh... having difficulties."
Rubbing his eyes, Justin tried to focus in on the labels on the boxes in his bag, but to no avail. Immediately two pokeballs opened, revealing Simba and Surreo. The Psychic Pokemon whisked the exact box Justin was looking for and pulled it out while Simba nodded approvingly. "Sorry, the glare from the sun on these labels, I swear." Justin murmured, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. His Pokemon knew that wasn't the case, but there wasn't any point in trying to argue with it or bring it to light. Instead, the rest of Justin's Pokemon were brought out so all of them could eat and enjoy the wonderful day.
Rhoan, unsatisfied with the spread, dug into Justin's bag and found a few slices of Birthday cake (from when she wasn't sure, but it's still edible, eh?) and immediately wolfed down a slice. "Hey, psychic face. Did you forsee this?" Rhoan smirked, slapping the Gallade's face with a fistful of cake, forcing it into his mouth with a wide grin. Surreo stumbled back and used his hands to save the falling crumbs, eating the last few bits. "Forsee it? Yes. Did I have any will to stop it? No." Surreo grinned, waiting for Justin's reaction when he realized the cake was almost gone. It wasn't until Jormun brought his head down to the ground and used his serpinetine tongue to lap up the last piece that Justin realized.
"Hey! I was saving that!" Justin groaned, to his Pokemon's amusement. Jormun added insult to injury by lapping up a piece of candy before Justin sealed off the bag and made sure it was away from the Pokemon. "Troublemakers, the lot of you..." He murmured, cooking food. Sure that the aroma would attract Pokemon, Justin pulled the training egg from Rhoan and gave it to Jormun, tasking the fatty fatty 2x4 for guard duty since he ate so many sweets. Plus he could use the training. "Use some water moves, probably."
//Gyarados using Aqua Tail x2 on next Pokemon, Running Shoes *points to note section* Sorry it's confusing, just birthday cake x3 and a Rare Candy which allows Gyarados to finally learn something watery

The sweet snacks did indeed drawn the attention of a wild Pokemon. As Jormun stood on guard duty he saw a wild Stantler heading towards him with a rumbling stomach desperately looking for food. The sight of the Gyarados was a terrifying sight for the deer Pokemon however with ho hungry it was no amount of fear was going to get it to give up on trying to get a meal. That would mean however that it would have to get past the Gyarados which was easier said than done as he was both a higher level and had far superior moves. Stantler was not without a move of it's own that could change the tide of battle however and it was not afraid to use it. Jormun was faster however and he surrounded his tail with a plume of water from out of thin air before slamming it down on the deer with an aqua tail however the deer was pretty stubborn and it refused to go down in a single hit. As it recovered from the massive hit it's antlers began to glow in a purple hue as a beam of light made it's way towards Jormun. As it reached the serpent it spun around him until he grew dizzy and lost his sense of concentration. He had become confused by the confuse ray as the first round ended. As the next round began he tried another aqua tail however all he could do was crack himself in this head with his own tail as he had no sense of direction or focus as the confusion took hold. Stantler seized the opportunity and unleashed a stomp on his head as he tried to get his thoughts straight. Though the serpentine Pokemon still held the upper hand so long as he remained confused Stantler still had a fighting chance of pulling off a huge upset in this battle. A wild Stantler(Level 24) appeared and is ready for battle! Pokemon Battle

Gyarados uses Dragon Rage! Jormun seemed to have this fight in the bag, if not for one thing... the large water beast hadn't taken into account the potency of confusion. Stantler, in it's best attempt to defend itself, had managed to confuse Jormun to the point of almost halting the battle. Justin watched with clenched teeth as Jormun's head rocked side to side, as if the monster was trying to focus its eyesight forward, struggling to keep the deer in it's sights. One more attack would take out the pesky deer, but Justin doubted that Jormun would be able to make anything happen in his current state. Justin's fears were brought to life when Jormun missed, hurting himself in his confusion.
"Whoah, bud! That's not wha I was trying to getcha do to, just saying. Take it easy for a sec." Justin called out, cupping his hands around his mouth to make the sound louder. It was hard enough getting into the Gyarados's thick skull without the beast being confused. That could be bad if Jormun turned the wrong way. Justin had seen Pokemon get knocked out instantly by Dragon Rage; he didn't want to test it on himself. "Just close your eyes and focus. We're gonna go back ta basics. Dragon Rage, okay? Something you're very, very familiar with."
Jormun had just learned his water moves, so it was probably better to lay off of those for right now. Adding anything even remotely unfamiliar could throw the Gyarados off and nobody wanted that, especially Justin. Having his Pokemon in any sort of disarray bothered him immensely. When Simba fainted during a fight one time, Justin had almost lost it. It had been his fault, after all. Were he a better trainer, it wouldn't have happened. Now, this Stantler wasn't going to knock out Jormun, but the dislike was still there nonetheless.
"Okay, Dragon Rage. Just focus. You know where you're at. You just ate a ton of candy and cake and now you're just working off the carbs, ya pesky dragon." Justin raised his camera to his face and tried to focus in on Jormun's face. He couldn't see that far with his eyes, but seeing through the zoom of the lens gave Justin important information about the battle. Sometimes he even surprised himself. It had been pretty witty, especially with his failing eyesight. "Ya got this!" Stantler had fought back before with a stomp, but Jormun had shrugged it off. Hopefully he could shrug this off.
