"*BURP*" Defiling the tranquil peace of the route, a loud burp was heard coming from a small group. Having just exited out of Ecruteak's city gates and moving onto the unexplored reaches of Route 42, Joey had finally been able to move on with his conquest. "Y'know what makes fer a nice change?" Trotting alongside him in her heeled disguise through the power of visions, Calistra merely shrugged as Joey continued on. "That we actually left out of that city without the cops chasin' us off out. We did a lot of good for that place, got treated with some proper respect and wished off on our way. Even got a nice feast out of it. Why can't more places be like that? Sheesh." Having pinched a tooth pick from the cafe, he worked at his teeth to remove anything leftover from the enormous feast he had won. "Perhaps you should remain on such good behaviour." Disparaged Calistra. She had only journeyed out of a couple of cities with Joey but she could tell if there were times where he had been forced on out by a mob of police, the biker had likely landed himself in it.
Letting out an exasperated puff, Joey threw his arms behind the back of his head as he strolled on along the route in a laissez fair manner. "Pft. A Joe's gotta do what a Joe's gotta do. Not my problem those uptight pigs get in a bother how I go about doin' it. They need to ease on off. Man... It's no wonder those damned Rockets strut about like they own the goddamn place." As they walked along in silence for a few moments longer, Joey let out a laugh. "Sure am glad the city gates are opened up now. I remember chancin' it the last time we were chillin' in Ecruteak and they said somethin' about it bein' dangerous. Fallin' boulders or summat from a mountain side area up on ahead." Observing the lay of the land, Joey shrugged. "Huh... All I can see are some rivers. Guess the mountainside must be up on ahead. Wouldn't mind goin' exploring but me and caves..." Trailing off, he thought over to the last time he ventured about in one and got embroiled in some far fetched kidnap involving some religious nut. Unsure of whether this was a customary experience for caves in Johto, it was likely a good idea to give a wide berth. "Nah." He concluded.
"Where are we headed?" Quizzed Calistra. Hailing from Unova and being bought to Johto against her will, it meant she was very much unaware of her surroundings. All she could tell was, if they continued on in this direction, the temperatures would get chillier and chillier. "Huh, good point. Not too sure. Where's that bloody tourist guide thing I half inched? Argh... Hmm... Here we go." Having dug through his belt pouch, he pulled out a now tattered guide which told everything you could want to know about Johto in its entirety. "Says here we're going to Mahogany Town. Place has a gym so that's a plus. Definitely gotta stop off. Some lakes... Mt. Mortar too... Eh. If we get time we'll have a poke around." About to stash it away, a bit of history caught Joey's eye. "That's weird. Says here this Mahogany place is historically linked as it served as an ancient stronghold for ninja." Narrowing his eyes, he couldn't help but ponder. "I wonder if my mentor had any connections here." Raising an eyebrow curiously, Calistra bought up Joey's mentor further. "This... Mentor. You speak of him often. What was so special about him?" Not quite understanding, Joey decided he would share with her some of his past. "My mentor. Or, heh, sensei as he liked to be called was an incredible man. I hated his guts at first. I used to breeze around Fuschia like I owned the place. Regular tearaway I was. Only problem was, every time I got up to somethin', this old coot would foil me. The guy was like a ninja the way he came outta nowhere!" Letting out a fond laugh, he explained. "Turns out he was a ninja. Fuschia itself, the place i'm from, it's steeped in links to the ways of the ninja. He kinda scolded me but took me under his wing. Taught me all he knew. And the guy knew a lot."
Going silent, Joey couldn't help but think of all the life lessons and techniques he had been imparted with. Truly, if it weren't for his mentor, he would have ended up in jail for doing something clearly malicious or worse, in Team Rocket. "The guy was a huge perv though. I used to get told it was for training but he'd have me run through the ladies changin' room and pinchin' stuff in the quickest time without gettin' caught. Dirty old sod." Despite the one blight over his otherwise respectable mentor, Joey went back to the link with Mahogany and ninja. "One thing my mentor would always talk about is Johto. I got the feelin' he had some links here as he came here often. So maybe it all fits in with this Mahogany place." Chuckling jokingly, Joe couldn't help but have some reservation. "That or the Mahogany tourist board thought it sounded cool and would draw in some gullible schmucks." Pondering over what Joey had said, it left Calistra unusually quiet. Although, it may not have been entirely because of Joey's insight to his past. "Imbecile. Stop. We're not alone." Murmured Calistra. Although in her human illusion, it didn't mean her beast senses were any less attuned.

As Joey broke the tranquil peace of route 42 he had no idea that he would attract the attention of one of the Pokemon who had been sleeping in a distant tree. The small Pokemon hopped down from the tree and began to hop towards the noise too tired to try and fly and unsure if whatever had caused the noise would be able to hear it's cotton wings flap or not. The dragon blood coursing through it's veins inspired it to look for strong foes to battle but as it had not reached it's potential Swablu had to wait until the right moment before getting detected or else it's plans to grow stronger would more than likely result in it getting killed instead. It's gentle nature as a Pokemon did not help it's population numbers in the wild and if it got killed making a dumb mistake it's species might not be around route 42 for much longer. Once Swablu had Joey and Calistra in it's sight Swablu hopped behind them at a distance taking great care not to make any noise. Humans rarely travelled in groups here and when they did it was rarely a good sign. Something was off about Calistra though and the flying type Pokemon just had to know what that something was. Swablu began to get careless as it's curiosity overtook it and it stepped on a single stick lying on the ground. Joey could not hear it as it was a very tiny stick but Calistra heard it without any problems. As the two stopped Swablu knew it had been discovered but the dragon side of it's family made it too proud to run or beg for mercy. Instead it fbegan to flap it's wings and close the distance ready for a fight. Not knowing Calistra was a Pokemon just yet caused Swablu to think it might somehow be able to take them on. Being so young Swablu was not very fast and Joey could easily run from it if he wanted to. Calistra alone was so much faster she could grab Joey and drag him along as the ran off and still make a clean get away however if he did choose to stay and fight Swablu might just have gotten itself into a horrible situation that would be tough to get out of. A wild level 27 Swablu appeared. Either select a Pokemon or flee. Ooc: Dragon and dragon like Pokemon must have a thing for Joey. First that Kingdra in the Olivine Cafe and now a Swablu which becomes a dragon decides to battle him.

Their caution rewarding them, it wasn't long before the presence that Calistra had picked up upon made itself known. Noting its cloud like wings and cutesy appearance, Joey immediately lowered his guard and grinned. "D'awwww. Look at that. You were gettin' all worried for nothin' Cal. Just a lil' birdy. I remember the one Sharada, they're pretty docile." Turning again to look at the Swablu, it seemed as if Joey had glossed over its fiery determination to achieve its dreams. Calistra however was a bit more attuned. "It's brimming with a passionate spirit. Cutesy is completely off mark, idiot." Folding her arms, she turned her nose, a little annoyed Joey was being so cavalier over her warning. Cocking his eyebrows cheekily, he tried moving to the side to get her attention but sighed and shrugged. "Excuuuuse me princess. But you gotta realise the first thing I see when I look at that isn't exactly IT'S THE HARBINGER OF DOOM! THE END OF DAYS IS NIGH!" Putting on a comedic jive wit his movements, Calistra gripped her hands over her arms as her faced crumpled up even further of a nuisance. All the while the schism played out, it meant they left the Swablu to one side, pretty much ignoring it completely.
It was only when Joey turned back round to face it that he noticed how close it had become in proximity. Causing him to jump he took a hop back, reaching to a Pokeball instinctively for protection. "Woah! Slash! FAKE OUT!" Tossing the ball forward, out came Joey's trusted partner. The first Pokemon to have accompanied him at the start of his adventure, the two had an unbreakable bond and even in times like these, was usually the one Joey relied on. He may have been small and unevolved but the Meowth made up for it with his cunning. Although having been met with a crushing defeat back in Olivine, the feline was getting back on his paws in returning to fighting form. Leaping out from the ball, Slash let out a small battle cry. "Think fast, chumps!" Hurtling towards the oncoming Swablu, Joey was reassured there'd be no surprise peckings. Turning to Calistra he scolded her. "Thanks for the back up Cali." Her nose still turned, she had almost what appeared to be a wry smile pursed at the edge of her lips. "Heed my warning next time, simpleton."

Startled by the slow approach of the Swablu, Joey had a knee jerk reaction and sent out Slash. The Meowth had indeed found himself on the receiving end on a literally crushing loss, but a target like this soft Swablu was easy pickings compared to the Steelix and steel Pokemon from his past. The fluffy bird seemed a bit skeptical as it settled itself at the end of the 'battlefield.' It hadn't seen many Pokemon like the Meowth. At this point, there were a bit more... aggressive Pokemon, large Pokemon. Swablu didn't want to underestimate the Pokemon, but looking at such a small cat... a little underestimation was happening. In the split second Swablu had to decide it's fight or flight level with Meowth, Slash was already in the air moving towards it, instead of hanging out waiting for the battle to begin. "Swab! Swablu!" (I am a Swablu, hailed from dragons! You will not tarnish my pride!" Swablu wasn't sure what to expect, and the speed of the Meowth was something it definitely couldn't compete with. Already Slash was up in Swablu's face, raking his claws down it's fluffy wing. Slashed, Swablu flinched and closed it's eyes, falling to the ground onto it's feet for a moment. It's wing stung, but it wasn't anything that could keep the bird down and out for the count. Retaliation would be swift, well, as swift as Swablu could be. It tried to take back to the skies to retaliate, but it's body didn't allow it. Stuck in a flinch, Swablu opened one eye painfully to glance over at the Meowth, who did his job and did it well. With no way to retaliate, Swablu simply sat there, thinking about how to turn this back in it's favor. Swablu was prideful. It would turn into a dragon. Slash was simply a cat. Swablu had a reputation to uphold. Angrily it preened at it's slashed wing, narrowing it's little eyes at Slash. No more underestimation indeed. The cat had been faster than any Pokemon it had encountered. "Swab...." (Tch.)Wild Swablu - Level |27| Health: 27/69 Current Status: *flinch* No Attack! Joey's Slash - Level |37|

The fake out attack successfully working, Meowth landed on his feet in a lithe manner before relaxing his stance and scratch the side of his face with a paw. He had understood the Swablu's speech and it made him scoff incredulously. "Pft, right. And i'm a big bad lion. Reowr." Shifting his paws into a show off of his claws, it was keen Slash was still his sarcastic self as usual. Watching as the Swablu struggled to recover from the aggressive little feint Slash had put up, it was apparent to everyone on Joey's side that the shock and the tumble had been enough to seriously make a dent in the Swablu's standing. As it tutted at Slash's actions, the Meowth merely raised an eyebrow and pulled down his tatty cloth around his mouth. Calling out, his acerbic sarcasm knew no bounds. "Whaddya mean tch? Cat got ya tongue or what? Hah!" Sniggering to himself, Joey looked passed the petty squabbles between the two Pokemon. Already on the matter, he had primed a Greatball in his hand and chucked it forward. "Don't mind the fleabag, we're a nice bunch, come on, how about you journey with us?" Extending out the offer as the capture device itself launched ever closer, Calistra commented in a very dry tone. "Amassing that army still are we?" Looking over his shoulder to her, Joey nodded with a sincere grin. "You betcha. Team Rocket ain't gonna disband itself. You ain't gonna say no are ya? You want revenge just as much as the rest of us." Leering her eye slightly, she didn't have to say anything but it was perfectly clear she was in agreement. When the opportunity arises for her to exact revenge on that diabolical scientist couldn't come around quick enough.

Beginning to recover from the Fake Out, the Swablu slowly pried open it's other eye, which had fallen victim to the shocking slash of the Meowth's claws. Breathing heavily, the light bird fluffed up it's cloud like wings and puffed out it's chest. Incredibly proud, being related to the dragon line in one form or another, the Swablu wanted to put this smug, sarcastic feline right back in his place but unfortunately, wouldn't get a chance to. Whilst the bird was fuming to itself over Slash's words, Joey had already exchanged words with Calistra and pulled a lone Great Ball out from his collection. He had many goals, with one of them being to collect as many Pokemon as possible in order to over power Team Rocket and send them crashing down. When he was through, Joey didn't want to see even a single scrap of Rocket scum left and to fulfil that dream, he needed as much help as he could get. Thus, with a click he enlarged the Greatball and threw it forward with a swing of his arm. Flying through the air, it tapped against the body of the irate Swablu and forced it inside. Landing back down amongst the grass, the blue orb shook from side to side, all until it gave that familiar ting to show that he had been successful. Another one to the collection!

Letting out a jovial cheer when the Greatball itself clicked with a sound of success, Joey moved on over to pick it up. "Alright, that went pretty well. From what I remember, Swablu have pretty powerful vocal chords. They can be used for attacking or puttin' things to sleep. Definitely be of some use. Plus this one seems adamant it's gonna be a badass dragon or somethin'." Letting out a chuckle, he pocketed it away so he could deposit it later into the safety of his warehouse. "Here's hopin' it settles in and doesn't pick a fight with a bruiser like Uragaan. That wouldn't end too well. Harley'll probably dab me a slap or two if it means she has to look after more trouble makers." Looking over to Slash who was now lazing about out on the grass, Joey was pleased the Pokemon was making a return to fighting.
"You did well buddy. If anybody took a look at how well you dished out that fake out they would have trouble believing you nearly broke every bone in your body against that Steelix." Grinning from ear to ear, Joey was proud of his trusty partner. Letting out a yawn, Slash stood up and brushed off some mess from the grassy floor. "Eh, that Steelix got lucky. Teach me how to do an Earthquake or somethin' and we'll go for a rematch." Laughing, Joey wasn't too sure but he shrugged it off. "Maybe Volt can teach ya later." Having a quick look from side to side, the biker couldn't quite see anything else in the vicinity. "Alright people, what say we head on to Mahogany? This journey ain't gonna move itself if we don't keep a movin'." Nodding, Calistra and Slash both followed the biker in tow.

Capturing the wild Swablu successfully, Joey pocketed the Great Ball, intending to add the wannabe dragon into his ever growing army of Pokemon. At this rate, the biker would have more Pokemon on his side than Team Rocket had members! But it was all for a good cause; to take the villainous group down and give peace to all. As well as making a heap of friends and pleasant memories whilst he was trapped inside the Johto Region, he was also working his way toward the Elite Four to earn the title of Champion for a chance of freedom. But it wasn't all that bad. Just as Ecruteak City had meant something to Joey, in that his past mentor had mentioned it numerous times, the next town of Mahogany also rang a few bells in the back of his mind. Well known for once being the home of ninjas, the city had since used this story to gain a mark on many tourists maps, to attract visitors and a good bit of money. If the story was true or not was a completely different ordeal but if his mentor had said it to be, then Joe had no reason to believe otherwise.
As he travelled along the edge of the intimidating size of Mt Mortar, he was certainly taking the safer route in order to reach the next town. It was possible to travel through the cavernous labyrinth, there were even multiple entries he would likely pass by before reaching Mahogany. Even the Pokemon inside were far more dangerous than others he had met but that didn't mean that those on Route 42 were to be underestimated either. With both Joey, Calistra and Slash manoeuvring through the tall grass, the slight shuffles of the blades had attracted the attention of a wild Pokemon. A defensive spark flickering across the cotton patches over it's body, the pink skinned Pokemon stood in an alerted pose as Joey separated the grass, their eyes meeting immediately. A bipedal, sheep like Pokemon named Flaaffy stood in his path and with another flicker of electric, it turned to face the human slowly. Eyeing over Calistra and then Slash before moving back to Joey, the pink sheep glared once more, trying to frighten the group out of it's territory.

Picking up on the sudden burst of electricity from within the blades of grass, Joey honed in on whatever the source was. If his aim was to get to Mahogany, he would be no doubt disappointed as it seemed this route was just as lively as the ones he had traipsed through before. It didn't matter too much though. If he could get a few battles in and do a bit of sight seeing on the way, it at least meant there was some fun injected into the proceedings. "Right, anyone up for investigating?" Looking to Calistra, she shook her head, clearly not going to be of much use on this journey. Even Slash seemed reluctant. Letting out an unethused meow, Slash spoke up in his language. "Pah, i'll give most things a go but I really don't feel like bein' paralysed. I saw the sparks, that's gotta be some sorta Electric type. You're on ya own." Joey pulled a rather disappointed face. "Allow me then." Cautiously parting the blades of grass, they were greeted with a Flaaffy. It was something Joey wasn't really expecting and left him with bit of a surprise. "Wow, so there's these kinda Pokemon even out here? Would've thought you'd see more of these near that farm." Shrugging, he decided to greet the creature. "Hey there. We're just passin' through. Don't mind us."
Or not. It seemed from the stormy expression the Pokemon carried it wasn't going to allow passage through its territory. Laughing to himself, Joey cocked a grin and shook his head. "Well, if it's a fight yer lookin' for, i'm sure we can provide." Reaching to his Pokeball, he picked out one which he knew would act out on his commands. The Pokemon itself had been well trained, by the likes of a champion and it would certainly take up any challenge. "Go! Metyrant!" Sending the Metang forward, Joey sported a particularly devilish grin. "Sorry for not usin' you in so long buddy. How about we warm things up with a double Earthquake! Sure the Flaaffy will let us pass after that." Responding with very little acknowledgement, the Metang simply clashed his powerful arms together as it levitated in the air. As if pinpointing the ground below it, it took careful aim before slamming both of its piston like arms into the ground. Grinning, Joey looked over to Slash and Calistra. "Might wanna hold onto somethin'." It was easy to say for Joey, he had just grabbed hold of a nearby tree trunk.

The defiant Flaaffy refused to yield even as it saw Metyrantbegin to make a move. The electric type had encountered steel type Pokemon before and most of them were fairly slow which allowed for it to attack them before they could unleash an attack. However Metyrant was far from your typical steel type as it was part of a pseudo legendary family of Pokemon. Though still on the slow side Metyrant was far faster than most steel types and that allowed it to move faster than Flaaffy had anticipated. Before the lamb could even blink Metyrant slammed it's body into the ground causing a massive Earthquake causing massive damage to the area and Flaaffy took am incredible amount of damage as the earth cracked under it's feet causing it to lose it's balance and fall into a crevice. Somehow still hanging on by a thread Flaaffy's tail began to glow a light blue color as a radiant beam formed at the tip. The beam suddenly made it's way towards Metyrant who was still recovering from the shock of the impact to be able to dodge it. As the beam made contact with Metyrant it's internal systems began to have various errors messing up it's ability to aim or even stay focused on a task as it's body began to move erratically around Joey. The robotic Pokemon had a strong will however and it managed to fix enough of it's programming to hear Joey's next set of orders as it tried to carry them out. Metyrant slammed it's body into the ground again and like before the resulting Earthquake was devastating it it's effects. Flaaffy was not only knocked out by the second Earthquake but to make it worse it was trapped in a deep crevice with no way out. As it lie on the ground out cold from the shock of the attack Metyrant's programming began to return to normal as the battle ended. The Confuse Ray had been far more effective than the steel type wanted to admit but in this case willpower was enough to overcome it's effects but there was no telling what would happen if it were to happen again. For now however Joey was clear to keep moving forward. It also gains +1 happiness and it has +5 happiness overall. Metyrant is trying to learn Scary Face however it already knows 4 moves. Would you like it to forget a move so it can learn Scary Face? As his other Pokemon steadied themselves against the tree Joey had affixed himself to, Metyrant turned to the Flaaffy to finally show off some of its strength. Being mentored and raised by none other than Steven Stone, this Pokemon was brimming with a pride that more often than not, caused more problems than it was worth. Thankfully in a situation such as this where none of Joey's other Pokemon were bothered to fight, Metyrant took it upon himself to handle the matter personally. Staring down the Flaaffy, the Metang itself bore no emotion but it was safe to assume it was looking down upon it with contempt. It was but a common sheep that stood in its way, did this Pokemon not recognise champion material when it came across it? Deciding to test the waters, Metyrant fired off the first of its earthquakes to see if the Pokemon it was facing was worthy at all of going a full battle with it. Striking relentlessly at the ground itself, a fearsome tremor was triggered from the ground itself and all of a sudden the very ground up heaved and slammed violently into its target.
"Ha ha!" Laughed Joey whilst gripping on for dear life. "He sure gives it some oomph!" Calistra and Slash appeared less than impressed. "Myeow! Tell him to ease it up some! I'm gonna lose my claws grippin' onto this trunk if it don't stop shakin'!" Almost as if hearing Slash's plea, the earthquake subsided. "Phew... Thanks ya great, big, metal hunk of... Huh?" Pricking his ears up, Slash looked over to where Metyrant was. Hovering mid air and twitching erratically, it seemed odd. "What the hell's up?" Calistra narrowed her eyes and surmised what had happened. "I believe a disorientating light emanated from the tail of the opponent." Tutting, Joey yelled out as he grabbed on once more. "Fight it, Metyrant! Go for that second earthquake shaker!" Thankfully able to push past the disorientating phase it was going through, Metyrant resumed its merciless pummelling, causing the Flaaffy to fall into a crevice. It's job done, Metyrant ended its assault and turned to look at Joe and the gang. "Niiiiiice! Sure showed him. Gettin' in the way like that. Sheesh." Moving away with the rest of his team from the tree and over to Metyrant, Joey let out a whistle. "Man... We sure spoilt this bit of the route. We best head on before some wildlife conservationists try collarin' us!"
Returning Metyrant, he and the remaining two Pokemon pushed along the route, stepping over bits of upheaval.

As Joey exited the deformed part of the route he found himself near a small bridge next to a waterfall. Before he could take a step onto the bridge however another Flaaffy appeared and stood in front of him with electricity surging from it's tail. Like the Flaaffy before it this one was acting as a guardian of the route. The Flaaffy growled at Joey trying to get him to back off but the lamb quickly realized it would take more than a wimpy growl to scare him off and so it began to fire Ecectro Ball's at his feet. Before too long the lamb knew a battle was the only way it could hope to scare him off. The electric type Pokemon began to walk towards Joey filled with anger that he would not back down. The young electric type was really playing with fire hoping to not get burned. Joey was far stronger than he looked and if Flaaffy would have known more about him the lamb may have run off but all it could do now was wait and hope things went it's way. The waterfall roared in the background as Flaaffy prepared to strike at Joey or whatever Pokemon her choose to use. It understood how important the first strike could be in these circumstances and it had to try and hit first before it took any damage especially when it did not have a clue what it was up against. A wild level 27 Flaaffy appeared. Either select a Pokemon or flee. Ooc: Sorry this reply was a bit short. I completely ran out of ideas a quarter of the way through.

Not getting too far at all on his way, Joey came to a halt with his two Pokemon in reserve bumping into him. "Hey, what gives man? Can't ya see i'm strol-Ah sheesh. Looks like ya riled up their happy lil' community." Meowed Slash incessantly as he laboriously got over his point. Wincing his eyes, Joey understood all too well what was unfolding. "Looks like Metyrant's earthquake was felt even all the way out he-WOAH!" Leaping out of the way as the electro ball attacks were fired off as warning against him, Joey realised the only way to settle this would be to secure victory. If he managed to do so, at least the aggressor would be neutralised. "Like I said earlier, we're just passin' through! No need to get yer wool in a twist." Grabbing a Pokeball from his belt holster, he primed the choice ready for retaliation. "Metyrant! You're up!" Summoning forth the metal creature once more, the Pokemon appeared mid air as it levitated, whirring around its arms into an attacking position.
Seeing the Flaaffy could mean only one thing and this Pokemon boasting a champion's pedigree wasn't going to be so slow off the mark. It knew how to take out this Pokemon all too well but he was a sucker for etiquette, wanting his trainer to order out the attack. Joey may not have seemed it but considering the fact Steven Stone had entrusted his being with the biker, it meant he too would place trust in the ragtag fighter. "Don't hold back, unleash an Earthquake! I want these guys to know we're not playin' around. We got as much right as anybody or any Pokemon else to be trottin' about out here." This time without a secure object to grab hold onto, Joey muttered under his breath. "Maybe dial it back a smidge..." Acknowledging the order, Metyrant quickly analysed the opponent once more, making an observational note of how aggressive it was presenting itself as. It mattered not, if it couldn't endure this blow, it's volatile behaviour would be for nothing.
OOC: No need for the shoes this time, Earthquake!

The aggressive Flaaffy had no idea that it was going to be in for a world of hurt in just a few moments as it was about to attack. Just like the Flaaffy before it however it had never had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with a Metang before and as it was used to steel types being horrendously slow and so when it saw Metyrant getting ready to attack out of the blue the electric type lamb was stunned to see the metallic Pokemon move so quickly. Flaaffy tried to build up more energy so it could launch an attack before Metyrant could get off it's move but to it's horror the Metang was far faster than it had hoped and it was about to pay the price. All it could do was watch in astonishment as it slammed into the ground causing a massive Earthquake. The small bridge began to sway as the earth began to break on both sides of the waterfall. Somehow the bridge remained intact as the attack shook the area without mercy however unlike the bridge Flaafy was not so lucky. It's legs were trapped in a crevice that had begun to form under it as a result of the powerful earthquake and as the earthquake subsided the crevice was covered by the debris from the attack leaving the poor electric type stuck with no way out as half it's legs were buried and it was too weak to even fire an attack at the Metang who had caused it so much distress. Flaaffy could only beg for mercy as it tried to free itself from it's entrapment having learned it's lesson not to pick a fight with a stranger. Whether or not Joey would be kind enough to help the now remorseful Pokemon out of it's predicament was up to him but the path ahead was clear in either case. Trying to suede him into helping however the Flaaffy began to baa in a very sad tone ready to cry. It would be at the mercy of anything that came on the route if Joey did not show it enough mercy to help it out. Pokemon BattleFlaaffy|level 27| HP: 0/83 (0%)Status: KO'ed Move: KO'ed KO'ed VS Joey's Metyrant|level 35| HP: 97/97 (100%)Status: Confused Move: Earthquake Your species is moronic!
Metyrant fought well and gained 988 experience thanks to it's Lucky Egg. It has (1422/3781) experience towards it's next level. It also gains +1 happiness and it has +6 happiness overall. Chugga gains 338 experience thanks to his Experience Share. He now has (4839/4921) experience towards his next level. Will Joey help the repentant Flaaffy or will he leave it at the mercy of the other wild Pokemon on the route? Ooc: I do not really have an idea for this but I figured I would mix things up a bit. If anyone has any ideas feel free to reply to this as normal.

Not waiting long before Metyrant unleashed his quaking strike at the ground, Joey nearly toppled over as he was unable to fight against the tremor. Slash and Calistra too were almost knocked over by the seismic activity. "WOOOOOOAH! HOLD ONTO YER BU-" However, before he could finish his sentence, the move had been concluded. Looking on over to see what had unfolded, it appeared Metyrant had been successful in subduing the Pokemon but had resisted from unleashing its full onslaught as it appeared the Flaaffy was now in a spot of trouble. "Is the Pokemon alright?" Asked Joey inquisitively. Rushing on over despite being a little dizzy from all the jerky movements from the earthquake, he assessed what was going on as he stood next to the Metang.
Observing quickly the predicament the Pokemon was in, Joey felt a twang of guilt. Whilst the Pokemon had rather aggressively taken up the fight with them, he had returned with perhaps too heavy a retaliation. "Dammit, this is no good. We can't leave you lyin' about like this. C'mon." Dashing forward without encouraging help from his Pokemon, he began doing his best to move the rubble which trapped the sheep. Lifting up with all his strength, it was a task in itself. It was then a glint from the side appeared. Metyrant had moved on over on his own volition. Whether the Pokemon shared Joey's feelings of mercy or wanted to prove he could move this rubble with no trouble, the Pokemon began using its forearms to great effect. "Haha, you makin' this some kinda competition?" Turning back to the Flaaffy, Joey nodded with a cheeky grin. "Don't worry there buddy, we'll get you out. Just promise us no zappin' ok?" Shrugging off his concern with a laugh to indicate a joke, working away, it wasn't even much of a contest as Metyrant efficiently worked away in clearing the debris. "Alright, showoff!" Murmured Joey as he slung over the last of the mess.
He may have been rough around the edges, even something of a beast when it came to enjoying a fight whether it be through his Pokemon or his own fists but deep down he had a good heart. His teacher had mentored him well. In a situation such as this, one which he had directly caused, there was only one thing to do. Right the wrongs and fix the problem. "There ya go. C'mon, we ain't gonna fight no more. Huh?" Noticing a notification on his C-Gear, he engaged with the call. "Joey." A rather emotionless voice called out. Smiling to himself, Joey knew only one owner of such a sombre sounding tone. "Looker! Not like you to call me out of the blue, what's wrong? I'm about there to Mahogany." "That may have to be wait. You've been to Cianwood, yes? There are reports of Team Rocket activity in the area." Narrowing his eyes, it was a real shift from the kindness he had exhibited to the Flaaffy he had just rescued. "We'll see about that." Cutting off the call, Joey tightened back the gloves on his hands and turned around to look back at the way they came. "Gonna have to postpone this stroll for now." Looking back to the Flaaffy, Joey flashed off a slick point with his finger and gave it a wink. "Next time I come around here, we can rematch if ya want? Get stronger pal."
Turning on his heel, he began making his way back to Ecruteak. There he'd simply utilise Salazar to fly on over and then have to Surf around to locate this activity. Looker would send over further details. Ultimately Joey's main goal was to achieve champion status but he wasn't going to let Team Rocket get away with things. As Calistra, Slash and Metyrant tailed after him, Joey raised a hand up and waved without looking at the Flaaffy.
To be continued...
OOC: Sorry it didn't really go anywhere March as i've been needing to place this on hold to return somewhere desperately before the time is up but Joey will be back so maybe something can be resumed then with the choice he's made. I like the idea of this though, it opens up new plots on the impact of his choices.
His side stop at Cianwood successful, Joey had been quick to resume his advance. Picking up from where he left off, Salazar kindly flew him back over the sea and landed them safely down in Ecruteak. Quickly jogging along, he covered good ground as he made it back to where he was. Taking stock of the area around him, he could see the damage from the last encounter on the bridge was still apparent. Although, there were no Flaaffy to be immediately seen. " Guessin' it went to go and lick its wounds. Sure he made it out ok." Nodding his head to reassure himself, he could not have left it in such a vulnerable state. Considering they had been the ones to ground the sheep in such a way, it was only right they rescued the Pokemon out as well. Moving on from the memory, he looked around and let out a fleeting sigh. " Can't imagine there being much longer to Mahogany. I knew they said there was a fair distance from Ecruteak to Mahogany but if I had known how long this was, I would've got the ol' bike out of the storage." Shaking his head, he rather lithely jumped across the destroyed bridge, as he made it to the other side. All those years of training from his mentor had not gone to waste. " Hah, still got it." He grinned, pleased he hadn't slipped up. " Time to plough on." Moving along the route, he seemed to be getting nearer and nearer to Mt. Mortar. There was still a ways to go however. OOC: Back in Route 42. Let's grind some more.
