The Jigglypuff had been spared for now, due to Mania being sent to sleep. Otherwise, the hound would have obliterated the pink mass with extreme swiftness. But, for now, it was safe as Tyler and the hounds leaving. Besides, as they'd picked up Marchbaby's scent it was best to go ahead and track that as long as they could. Alas, as hard as they'd followed the trail however, there was no sign of Tyler's brother but before he could fume about it or train up any further on wild Pokemon, Silver had stepped onto the path looking rather disgruntled. He seemed angry about something, and as soon as Tyler came into view, both seemed to pause for a moment before Silver sighed and rolled his eyes. "Ugh, not you again."

Silver's lip curled as Tyler began talking to his Pokemon. It wasn't until Tyler brandished the whip that Silver's eyes widened out of shock and curiosity. Why hadn't he thought of a whip? The rare Pokemon at his feet, a Zorua, was getting a little lash on her paws, and the Pokemon seemed instantly attentive and ready to fight. Perhaps Silver needed to do the same thing. "Not a bad idea. I might have to get me one of those." Silver grunted, crossing his arms. Some of his irritation faded as Tyler made it clear he wanted to fight. Sure, Tyler was tossing out names and calling Silver a *****, but at least Tyler's personality was a bit closer to his own. "Fine, i'll battle you, loser. Let's go."

Silver let out his Zubat, which flapped at the air to keep itself afloat. Silver was about to open his mouth to speak but Mania, pride and feet damaged, didn't give him the luxury. Quickly darting into the into the shadows, Mania took advantage of the silence to dart out at Zubat, slamming into the creature while it was closer to the ground waiting for direction. The bat fell to the ground with an unceremonious plop. Mania licked a paw and drug it across her ear, as if rubbing the win in Silver's face. The teen clenched his jaw and Mania waited for Tyler's next command, hoping she'd done him proud this time.

Silver clenched his teeth, growling off to the side as he returned the fainted Zubat. "Useless lump of a Pokemon. You're gonna meet your own whip here in a little bit." The red-headed teen seemed a bit angrier than normal as he slammed his next Pokeball down into the grass. It exploded into a ball of gaseous matter followed by a pair of large, unblinking eyes. An intimidating tongue lolled off to the side as Gastly turned to face Tyler with narrowed eyes. "At least I have you. You're not as useless as that winged rat."

Mania was relieved that Tyler did not strike her again however she was still far from a secure position. Silver still had more Pokemon and Tyler would more than likely force her to keep going both to test her limits and to look for any sign of weakness. Having shown no restraint in cracking her before Tyler would have no second thoughts in cracking her again if she did not live up to his expectations and she sure as rain did not plan on allowing it to happen. The young fox stood in front of him in a proud manner, tail held high as Silver sent out his next Pokemon. She hoped her pose would impress Tyler, however all he cared about was her finally evolving so they could enter Ilex Forest.

" Mania I do hope that pose means you are ready for another round. Ir nothing else it is the perfect pose for another lash. I am fine with either however from the bitching you gave over your first one I doubt round two is what you are after. After you evolve feel free to come up with poses but right now if you waste my time with them you will have another date with Mr. Whip." Mania did not say anything for some  tine in fear he would whip her again for testing him. It was only after taking a deep breath that she worked up the courage to speak. " You know damn well I  do not want a second round and I guess trying to look tough alone will not save me from your beatings so I guess my pose is a waste of time. I will show you my strength instead. You will see just how powerful I really am once this battle ends." 

Mania had to act quickly before Tyler lost his patience. Still sore from the last time she planned her attack quickly. Fueled by fear and anger she raced towards Gastly wasting no time in showing her power. Upon reaching her target she stood up on her hind legs and smiled at the specter hoping to catch it off guard. Then as the specter and her locked eyes she made her true motives known. She fake swiped with her left paw before using her right paw for a real attack. She just hoped the ghost would be distracted long enough by the ruse.

Mania had certainly fallen down a few pegs in Tyler's good books since the arrival of Höllenhund. Receiving a whip lash across her body was something the young Zorua figured she would never experience herself, yet she had done. The more scary thing was Silver, on the opposite side of the battle, had noticed some... Changes. For him it was like deja vu, the very same Zorua had aided in his defeat the previous time he had met the duo but something was different this time. Mania still had her usual, annoying yips and barks but that connection had disappeared. No longer did they feel like partners, much rather, Tyler was pushing the Pokemon in the harshest way possible, in order to hurry her to evolution. Of course, for Silver, he had never been the nicest of people. He too, worked his Pokemon hard, called them horrible names and always expected more. But the way Tyler handled his Pokemon gave him goosebumps. They had similar ways but were also completely different.

"Hah. I see that pup has done something to upset you, this time 'round. Not that I can blame you, I would hit that loud mouthed thing if it was anywhere near me, too." Dropping a line in the only way he could, perhaps he could learn the story behind their sudden shift. "Not that I care. Go on Gastly, attack the horrid thing!" Unfortunately, Mania was out to prove her worth, meaning that the Gastly didn't even have time to listen for an upcoming order. Surrounding her body with a dark mass, the Zorua cut through the middle of the Gastly with her claws, forcing the Pokemon to retreat back into it's ball before it's second life was taken away from it. Anger once again boiled in the blood of Silver, "What the heck... Is this?!" Seething, he hissed through the teeth before collecting the Pokeball of Gastly and sending out his third and final Pokemon. "You will pay for trying to make a fool out of me, runt!" With a flick of his wrist, his Croconaw emerged from the ball. Glaring down it's snout at Mania, would the Pokemon be able to get some revenge and impress Silver at the same time here?

Tyler was still not convinced of Mania's power but he could not stand that Silver decided to open his big mouth again. The red haired teen had been on Tyler's nerves for some time but if he wanted to talk then a talk he would get." It is no business of yours what she has done. I admit I get a kick out of hitting my Pokemon, in fact it is a moment of pure joy however even with that in mind at least my Pokemon are not dropping like flies from getting touched. I could whip Mania right now and she could still take out anything you have left and if it were not for her being close to evolving I would swing right now. Me being in a rush is the only real reason she is safe for now." As he turned to look at the young fox her face displayed a mixture of fear, disgust, anger, and hatred. She knew he was speaking the truth even with all of her efforts she could still not please him.

" I refuse to say anything else. I know it will not matter what I say so let's just get this over with so I can finally evolve and make you see how much you underestimate me." She said as she watched Silver's last Pokemon trying to not even look at Tyler. She was ready to evolve so her small size would no longer hold her back and her illusion powers would reach their full potential. The young fox had struggled to use her powers in any meaningful way but she could feel them growing with each passing second. Just a little longer and she could create illusions so vivid that it could break the mind of any man. She just needed a little bit more power to get her revenge on Tyler for all his abuse.

" Mania what in the world are you standing around for. You still have more of a role in this battle and I expect that you will be able to finish your part. Stop dillydallying and get on it before my whip gets a taste of your blood. Use Snarl on Croconaw." Mania grinding her teeth at the order tilted her head back and began to snarl at her foe hoping the sound would scare the living daylights out of her foe so she could gain the upper hand.

Silver tossed his hair, sassy regarding the way this battle was going. Tyler’s Pokemon were definitely out of Silver’s league, many of them quite rare compared to Silver’s Zubat and Ghastly. Croconaw was Silver’s last hope for any chance of turning this battle around, which could turn out somewhat alright considering the water starter’s excellent stats. “Pfft. You and I are nothing alike, nor will we ever be.” Silver’s ostentation had no limit, he surely thought that he was the best trainer in the entire world, which of course, was not the case.

“Ok Croconaw, use your Water Gun attack!” The reptile was quite dexterous but the opponent was much faster and had quite a few tricks up its sleeves. Mania let out a Snarl, leaving the opponent cowering from the loud, spooky noise. “Get out there and use your Water Gun! I’m not losing to this hack!” The Pokemon abided and let out a jet of water, which didn’t quite work as well as Silver would’ve liked it to. The Snarl attack lowered the crocodile’s special attack, leaving Water Gun quite useless.

After the two Pokemon finished their attacks Tyler did not do anything but look over at Silver. He was glad they were not alike in at least one way and that was in the strength of their Pokemon. Once he had a few moments to think things over however he began to speak and he wanted to show him the full power of Team Rocket. " I could show you mercy by giving you a chance to join Team Rocket but it is far more fun to watch you fall in defeat time and time again. With our support you could grow so much stronger however no mercy will be shown to those who get in the way. I will have fun with what little remains of this battle." He said as Mania kept all of her attention on Croconaw.

She had no interest in listening to whatever Tyler spewed from his mouth. All she wanted to do was evolve so she could make him show her respect and if she won this battle she would be very close to evolution. " You are a bit stronger than the foes I usually face. One Snarl is enough for most to empty their bowels and run in fear of me but I give you credit for not giving up so quickly. It makes beating you even more of a pleasure. I could take my time but I have no intentions of making myself wait to evolve any longer than I have to so I will make your suffering quick. Do not fret as the next time we meet I will tear you limb from limb." As the young fox continued to unnerve her foe Tyler was more interested in making Silver's skin crawl and he tried to insult him hoping it would get the teen to give up before going through another round with little chance of winning.

" Tell you what I will give you a choice give up now or your Croconaw will face another round and only be worse off than it already is." Knowing Silver's pride would never allow him to surrender Tyler was not going to wait around for the red haired teen to come up with anything crafty. " Mania use Snarl one more time and put that leather boot in it's place." Mania then quickly replied. " Finally it is time to end this. Hold still while I cause your intestines to turn inside out from the sound of my Snarl."

Silver grinded his teeth in rage, his fists were clenched at his side for he knew the inevitable fate of his Pokemon. Nothing was going right in his life, he couldn’t even win a stupid Pokemon battle with some random kid. Silver began thinking about how shitty his life was, he had almost nothing left except his Pokemon, which he really didn’t treat very well. He realized that he needed to get it together, if this guy figured out that he was second guessing himself he’d be mocked for the rest of eternity. “Whatever. Watch what you say to me kid.”

Although Silver didn’t know where he was going or what he wanted to do, he knew he didn’t want to join team rocket. The evil org was just a giant scam and Silver didn’t take answers from no one. “Sorry. I don’t really mesh well with authority. I’m nobody’s puppet, first and foremost.” Zorua let out a low pitched snarl, the noise seemed to affect Croconaw a lot more than Silver expected. The water type fell to the ground in defeat and almost instantly was returned to his Pokeball. Silver said nothing but a sigh, dropped a wad of cash on the ground, and began slowly walking away. “Until next time.”

As Tyler watched Silver rush off again he had no idea Mania had jumped into Tyler's backpack. As she did she swallowed the two Rare Candies he had hidden in there whole. She quickly jumped out as Tyler took notice of what she had done, before he could say a word to her she began to glow a bright white. He size and shape began to change as she underwent evolution. In the blink of an eye the small fox had morphed into a far larger warewolf like creature. 

The newly evolved Zoroark was quite proud to have awoken her inner strength and she walked towards Tyler who could not manage to say anything before she spoke. " From now on you shall see the full extent of my power. I was weak as a Zorua but as a Zoroark my powers are vastly superior. Now I can create Illusions that are beyond your comprehension. Just a little longer and that worthless mutt will be my *****. Oh that will be a fine day of reckoning." As she looked at Tyler ready for war he smiled before he began to speak. " Oh I knew all along you had far more power in you but only making you despise even those you thought you could trust would unlock your potential. You are not ready to battle for the top spot yet but you have earned getting to lead my through Ilex Forest. Your powers should prove vital there."

She had no idea if Tyler was still using her or if he was serious in his plans however she did not have much of a choice as by herself Marchbaby could subdue her with ease and as such she was forced to go along with Tyler's idea. " Do not think for a moment I forgive you for all the shit you put me through but I have no option but to trust you. Now when are we leaving this hellhole? I am so sick of this place." As soon as she asked him Tyler began to walk towards the forest without saying another word. She did not dare wait for a response as she started to run so she could catch up to him. Without so much as a whimper she stuck by his side as they approached the entrance.
